yeah, no. The point of being conditions is that you have to be tanky because your damage takes time to get the job done and can be removed unlike physical damage. This could create some interesting ‘glass’ condie specs, but you can cleanse 5 stacks of criting bleeds, not a backstab. Power specs would still be favorable for glass builds the only difference would be there would be no more sustainy condie specs (could you imagine a sustain condie spec trying to kill a regen warrior after this proposed change? oh lawds i don’t want to think about it) So if you goal with this is to completely destroy conditions in this game then by golly i think this could work.
It’s the fact that warriors can have it all: dps, sustain, mobility, stability, cc, aoe, range, all in one build. Ah brings back good memories of the golden days with eley’s. All they need to do is either spread out traits or reduce certain areas so they cant have every single favorable aspect in a build, in one build.

I cant be bothered to read this thread, but going off just the videos, this is just another classic example of poor play. I have fought that same warrior many-a-time to much better results, using a build with 2.1k armor. Just like in your eley video of “lol i eat all da spirits en i die xDD” this is simply poor play on your part leading to your death. #thetruthhurts

Lolz. By your logic sure if you never make a mistake you might not lose. I know you are a pro that never makes a mistake and if we combed through footage of one of your 1 v 1 fights we would see that every decision you make out of 100 is perfect but for the rest of us, even the best, we occassionally make mistakes. Get my point yet? Spirit Rangers are too strong for how easy they are to play. Don’t peddle your l2play nonsense here.
While the first part of your post is true(the being a pro part), the same could be said for not dodging/breaking an ele churning earth/air/fire combo then going on the fourms and saying “lewl op ele i no dodge en i die xDDDDDD”

It has come to my attentions that physical damage doesn’t really have a place in this game, so i wanted to propose the following change; how about if physical damage couldn’t be cleansed?
Now now, before you get the pitchforks and the torches let me explain myself.
I believe that given how most classes have access to at least 1 or 2 ways of protection/invulns on a small 40-75 cooldown it is kind of hard to keep physical damage up when your skills have 5-10 cooldown, it reduces the damage you can do by a mediocre amount in that time.
Something else I was think was; how about if physical damage scaled a lot higher then conditons? That way stacking pow/pre/cri% can gives us huge damage, while not benefiting condition specs at all. It inhibits us from using any defensive stat except huge damage output to pressure are opponent. That way you only need to worry about being offensive instead of defensive because you kill things so fast you don’t need lengthy defensive cd’s!
Lastly, it has come to my attention that many classes have large Armor pools, my 100b only hits 10k on a guardian through protection, I mean how else am I supposed to melt them? Also, please give more classes ways to negate physical damage (sense you can’t cleanse it) so that we are justified to carry this much insta-gib potential, that way they have to forsake any way of dealing damage just to be able to keep up with us.
I believe this will bring physical damage to a healthy place and keep the rock/scissor/paper game alive

Make every class identical. It is the only way.
You can influence (read: carry) the match much more then you think. If you consistently win 1v1’s, hold out in 1v2’s, stealth backcap then come back to the mid fight to win it, steal a boss, ect ect. Then you deserve to be higher on the ladder to prove that you are worth your weight on a team. Even if all you do is team fight if you are getting clutch rezes/stomps, focusing targets and winning the battle then you deserve to be higher.

I’d be okay with that. Or One thing that i like is a trait that “x% less condition damage taken for each unique condition on you.” This would be equal to the things like “x% more damage for each condition on a foe” because right now. Conditions have no hard counter. Evading can only be done so much. Blocks don’t always work.
Conditions have no hard counter? Last time I checked wiping/converting the condition’s on you into boons was a pretty hard counter.
Necromancer marks have already been turned down quite a bit sense its hard to work greater marks into a build meaning less people getting hit and can also be blocked. The same would have to go for engineer bombs and grenades, huge damage all aoe. There is some risk in bombs but grenades you can sit at max distance and hit more per target and faster then a necro can “spam marks”
so what is the point of this thread?

Don’t worry, he may be able to take down 20% of your hp before you target him but once you do you will take down 100% of his hp.
In what world are you guys playing in? Certainly not Tyria. Rangers are amazing solo point holders and duelist and do massive condition damage while still being very hardy. Beastmaster rangers are near unbeatable 1v1 and full trap/regen rangers do substantial AoE damage in team fights while applying many useful conditions like immobilize and poison and useful boons like vigor and regen.

Either nerf grenade damage or jump shot damage, or remove some CC from them, the amount of blowouts and knockdowns and huge damage combined with cloak on immobilization and a lot of ‘oh kitten’ skills they have is just too much. Not talking about 1v1 where you can predict and dodge it all but on a 2v2 3v3 or w/e while on a point where you cant see anything (because grenades have over 9000 range) of whats going on you just get wrecked by this they dont even need to target you every thing is ground targeted.

Even if it was 30% it would still suck. I doubt we would start seeing builds that revolve around the terrifying arcing slice.
Thousand blades? That sounds cool, i’ll take that over this wimpy hundred blades I have.

Edit: If I wanted to be more survivable/condition removal I would play a different class
So with a max of 70% fear duration (master of terror + rune of necromancer), how can you get a second tick on 1 second fears? I seem to recall some people saying it was possible with under 100% fear duration but don’t remember what the trick was.
Don’t know if this has been talked about before, but wouldn’t it be cool if each MH weapon had say, 3 different adrenalin abilities that you could swap out? It could have a “burst” like now but could also have maybe a “control” or “travel”. Just trying to think of ways to spice up probably the most boring and dull class mechanic in the game.

The whole point of being ranged is to be glass cannon (or at least focused on dps). Because the range IS your defense. Otherwise melee will whole heartily out dps you while still being just as, if not more tanky.
It’s not bad, it just isn’t good.
those incredibly rare occasions where you finish casting epidemic in time for it to spread conditions on the almost dead, fully loaded jade quarry d-bag to ALL his little friends around him.

My favorite thing is in sPvP where I finally have enough conditions on a guy who is in a group to warrant using epidemic and he dies the split second before it goes off and all his conditions are cleansed. Seriously why do conditions go away on down in pvp but not in pve?
I love all the times when I was running in our guild 4thief/1necro camp flipping strike team and whenever a 30 man zerg flew by, they always told me “sheo, go run through that zerg, we’re busy over here”
I’d run through the zerg, live, and manage to benny hill people off of cliffs with spectral walk.
Not to mention hitting BiP, using a signet, having spite siggy to add power, having every single power buff in game on me, stacking up 20 stacks of might, and going into lich to throw Gibs around for 5k a hit, non crit. “MOAR POWER!!!”
lets just say you should never let this asura get into alpha siege golems without expecting zergs to fall to my gib awesomeness.

The feel when you gap close with DS2 and have daggers out with 20+ might stacks just doesn’t get old to me.
That feel when DS2 misses horribly and you get permanently kited.
Deathshroud being useless for anything other then a power build (and even then pretty bad). No burst. Slow stacking of conditions. Extremely limited access to stability. Extremely long cool-downs on almost all of our utilities. Many traits still bugged (more then any other profession). The fact that a lot of or utilities flat out don’t work (corrupt boon missing 50% of the time, spectral grasp missing 80% of the time, people just walking out of wells) Minions (need I say more?). Oh yeah, extreme lack of combo fields/finishers. This is just off the top of my head. kthxbai.
Not sure if this is a troll thread or not, but we have the same boons as every other profession has. If you’re having a hard time figuring out which boons are in your build go here http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/ and equip your current build and it tells you what boons you have access to and where they are coming from.

It’s obviously an unintended bug and it’s only in a temporary minigame.
Over nothing? really? Yes the number 6 skill is rather unimportant but its the sheer fact that the dev’s simply do not care that our abilities don’t work and don’t even play test the class enough to notice it in the first place.
This just happened for about the 10th time in 2 weeks, never D/C ever when I’m not in a fotm, I’m extremely fed up with this no idea how this was not hot fixed soon after the problem was discovered.
Does the Spite skill for 50% damage while downed stack with fear damage?
It’s weird cause when the patch first hit it worked (well, it at least activated), sense there was no other patches sense what made it randomly become unavailable? But yes, it is comical how much ANet hates the necromancer profession.

Well at least you can ACTIVATE yours, ours literally says “This content is unavailable” when we try to use it.

Nah it’s a necro bug, it will not be fixed until next months patch (note after wintersday has ended)
In the pvp snowball fight, how come on my necromancer when I try to use my number 6 skill “frost mark” it says “content unavailable at this time please try again later”? Yet i see other people using their number 6 skill, am I doing something wrong?
Good thing it kicked me out of a spvp match mid way and then refuses to download, good good.
