Am the only one who doesn’t have a problem with this? I mean yes, it sucks, but there are so few sources of quickness, and of those that are there, they tend to last for really small durations and have really long recharge times, making it hard to have it for long periods of time. If it was easier to have perma quickness, then I would agree with you, but for now, I just don’t see the problem with how it is now.

Dude, I’m a fan of Red vs Blue, RWBY, and Final Fantasy, so of course I like weapons such as gunblades, nifles, shotgun gauntlets, grenade launching hammers, sniper rifle scythes, etc. Question is how would Anet would put sush things into the game. I love how people say that ele is the squishiest class in the game, yet it’s one of the best tanks. But then again, those people are usually meta players. Try doing some non-meta builds, and you’ll find that ele can do alot of damage safely.

You could use a coin toss if you’re only choosing between two professions. If you’re choosing between more than two, Google “RNG,” set the numbers to 1 and the number of professions you’re choosing from. Then assign each profession a number, and generate your number. You could also write each profession’s names on index cards, place the cards into a hat, and have someone else draw a card. Rolling dice might work, too.

As far as why you can’t see them, if you could, no one who knows the game would ever trigger them.

I could be wrong, but I thought that the only profession that has a range greater than 1200 units is ranger.

The charr get something that the other races don’t, and that is that there no such thing as overkill. Under kill on the other hand is a different story.

Everyone has ways of doing damage and simultaneously supporting, and it’s a core, critical element of the game.

In the military, comms means communications, so maybe that is waht it meens in this case.

Now, I have to disagree with the post. I hated pvp in GW1. GW2’s pvp is much better. Why? In GW1, you’d have to wait for hours just to get a team, and there is something that I called the rank paradox. If you want to win, you must have a good team. If you want a good team, you must have high rank. If you want high rank, you must win. I only won two games, if even that, thanks to the rank paradox. How is that any fun?

Not bad, but there are a few things I do have to say.
1. I found a typos. If you could find and fix them, that would be nice. I can help if need be.
2. It didn’t flow very well. It was kind of hard to go from section to section.
3. It’s to small. This can easily be fixed by writing more.
If you fix these three things, it would be a good story. Right now though, I’d rate it a 4 out of 5.

A staff, scepter, mace, or hammer that just looks like a big stick and is called the Biiiiiiiiiiiiig Stick. Why? So that I can go around saying “Peace means having a bigger stick than the other guy, and I have a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG STICK!!!!!” Come on people. You know you want to!

I don’t even know what is and what isn’t meta. I just click my own builds together. Creating well-functioning builds, for my own purposes, not someone else’s, is a big part of the fun for me.

Agreed. I don’t know how many meta builds I have defeated in pvp while using a non-meta build. In other words, the meta isn’t everything.

I agree with AegisRunestone. Also, a dps meter is not a need; it’s a want, and it’s not one that all GW2 players have. I for one don’t need or want to know my dps.

I disagree. I use staff in most of my necro builds, and not a single one uses soul reaping, let alone soul marks, so it’s not “far too necessary.”

You successfully play mid-higher tier PvP without soul reaping? Better than with Soul Reaping..? I have a hard time believing that.

I take it that you will also have a hard time believing that I used to facetank enemies in most 1v1 fights in ranked pvp with an ele, you know the squishiest class, back when the meta was all about dps, but I did. Point is, meta is not the only way.

I disagree. I have been playing this game since the betas, and I can’t tell you how much trouble this skill and others like it have caused me throughout all three game modes.

One thing that I forget to mention, Anet seems to like to ban exploiters, and since the glass cannon meta is at least two years old, seeing that there was no mass bannings of people who do the so called “glass cannon exploit,” I’d say that it’s not an exploit.

Well, according to Wiktionary, an exploint is a program or technique that takes advantage of a vulnerability in other software. So in order to answer your question, we must first answer my question: is what you just described a vulnerability in GW2’s software? If the answer to my question is “yes,” then so is the answer to yours.

I was thinking the same npc. Sure there was no real evidence to say he was gay but he was sure hell bent on recusing his warband friend.

Well, warbands are what the charr consider as their families, (I pulling this from Edge of Destiny) so those two npcs are more like brothers than friends. Tell me, if your brother or sister was taken captive, would you want to same him or her at any cost, and if so, does that make you homosexual? I say no.

This topic has come up once or twice before this, (no I don’t have links.) and I remember reading two things in one such thread. The first thing was that there a homosexual couple, but I don’t remember who or where they are. Second was that all charr, no matter their sexuality, have sex with their mate once and then they are done. In other words, they are a species of one night stands, both kitten - and hetero- sexualy. I guess bisexualy can be added to the list, but you get the point.

I can think of another game in which you can fly around as a cloud of bats: inFamous Festival of Blood. It’s a cool idea, but I don’t think that it will cause the same reaction you think that it will cause. People will get curious, but they won’t necessarily start throwing their money at Anet.

The Elementalist soulds like what you want. It takes some getting used to, but once you master it, there is not much that you can’t do. I a good non-meta build if you want it.

I have a pre-HoT non-meta ele build that fits most of your criteria. The first one is alittle iffy, seeing that it does not have a melee weapon, and there is one skill that makes you stand still, but it fits the rest. If you want it, let me know.
