Hey guys. I was wondering if you could provide a little more information here. What achievement didn’t progress for you? What achievement were you expecting to complete? What were you doing to get progress? This will help us investigate.

If you watch carefully when she first begins fighting, you can actually see her drop into Scruffy like a battle suit.

In order to complete these achievements you have to succeed the Warden event (the entire event up on the platforms) without being hit by the Marionette. If you are hit, you don’t get it. If you fail the event, you don’t get it. Stay sharp and break that chain and you’ll have it.

Moto’s state-of-the-art Solid Holography is not approved for submersion in certain liquids.

I can confirm that this achievement is not bugged; just checked it myself.

Unless I’m misunderstanding here, Scholar will not reward in Infantile Mode. Scholar and Academic are for Normal Mode.

To the rest of the thread: I think this whole thing is a case of people reading way too far into a light-hearted comment about eagles and justice.

Shortcut Worm can be used as a shortcut in Tribulation Mode. Shortcut Eagle cannot.

1. The meta will be available for 2 weeks.
2. The Tequat’l fight is permanent content; Rox and the dragon clue hunts will go away after 2 weeks.

Did you actually receive another Heart? If so, can you post a screenshot of your character screen?

Did you kill the cage boss at the end? The achievement only awards when the boss is killed and the timer runs out.

I’m sure ANet will just claim that it was “higher than we wanted” (as has happened with dyes and such).

The drop rate of continue coins in JP chests is identical to what it was in April. Continue coins are also more abundant since one drops out of each Zone completion chest.

Try the checkpoint after the Gong Room in 2-2.

Baby’s First and Second Super Adventure achievements don’t count towards the meta.

The only baubles that count are the ones out in the world and the ones in chests. Dug up baubles, baubles from broken items and baubles from enemies do not count.

I just ran this in Infantile Mode. I received the achievement after the Storm Wizard exploded. I’ll pass the concerns on to the team, though!

I do agree that the countdown to the next zone could have been increased though. Maybe 30 seconds.

That’s what I meant. There’s a chest in the chest (yo dawg) and that’s what deposits the items into your inventory.

Since there appears to be some confusion about how you gain progress on Scholar and Academic, here’s a list of what you need to do in order to receive the achievements.

• You must be in the Mode you want the achievement progress for.
• You must be near the reward chest at the end of the zone.
• You must wait for the timer in the top right corner to reach zero and move you to the next zone.
• You must not be in the continue area (The Moto Room).

If you do all of the above, the achievement should progress.

I’ve been posting this everywhere I can, so here goes again:

In order to receive the zone completion achievement, you must meet the following prerequisites:

-In the Mode you want the achievement for
-Near the Zone chest (inside it is your safest bet)
-Present when the timer runs out in the top right of the screen
-Not in Moto Hell

I’ve received the Glutton for Punishment achievement on Live and I followed the above to a tee. If you run away from the zone chest and explore, or exit before the timer finishes, or are in the process of using a Continue Coin to re-enter the world you won’t receive the achievement.

Well, I just went through zone 3, for the third time now, and am still at 32/33.

I definitely started out with 31/33 and I definitely discovered the 2 feats others mentioned (at least the little achievement box dinged and popped up in the corner of the screen 2 times; once before the yeti and once on the actual yeti platform), but one of them obviously didn’t credit me for the meta. I thought going through again might correct it, but it didn’t and I really don’t want to do it a 4th time. -_-

Let me clarify: When I say “another Infantile run” I mean for all of World 2. There were a few acheivement triggers that you could vault over using the checkpoint bounces in Zones 1 and 2.

Like I said earlier, a few areas that progressed the achievement could be jumped over. Give yourself another full Infantile run and you should be good.

This is accurate.

No jumps in SAB should require a dodge-jump. That was one of the team’s commandments when creating content.

Nope. The Baubles that count are floating Baubles (in the open areas and secrets) and chest Baubles.

Tribulation Mode Shortcut Eagle is working as intended. Shortcut Eagle has an acute sense of justice, and skipping Tribulation Mode is not very justice-ey.

The two problematic tiers for this achievement were located in 2-3. There were also areas that you could easily jump over and miss triggering the achievement. We’ve increased the area that triggers these so they should be pretty impossible to miss. Another run through Infantile Mode should net you the achievement.

Uuuuugh, just spent 2 and a half hours soloing W1Z2 trib mode, cursing the name “Josh Foreman” (in a good way ;P), and when I finally finish the boss, I’m feeling really accomplished and happy, so I start hopping around the map while the timer runs out. Then, with 3 seconds left, I remember some posts mentioning that you have to be standing next to the chest to get the achievement. I was too far, of course, and it was too late, so no achievement for me.

I had a raging fun time, but that was a huge disappointment sharply cutting my glee short. I don’t know if this is intended to prevent some kind of exploit, or if it can be changed/fixed, but that definitely sucks. Not a fun way to end the night and go to bed. My pillow will soak up many a tear tonight.

I’ll probably end up running the zone again (and much faster this time), but it would be really nice for people doing trib mode to not miss the achievement just because they didn’t stay next to the chest at the end.

I’ve been trying to communicate this on the forums as much as possible.

If you think about it, the colors are actually the “RARITY” of items in GW2. Starting with the Common Blue SAB weapons. World 1 = Green/Masterwork, World 2 = Yellow/Rare, World 3 = Red/Exotic, World 4 = Purple/Legendary. I wonder if this was intentional.

The weapon colors follow the color scheme of Baubles:

Blue (1)
Green (5)
Yellow (10)
Red (20)
Purple (50)

They DO line up well with rarity too!

To go up, you must first go down.

The token should have been immediately added to your inventory. Look for a green coin.

Are you waiting for the timer to complete, and do you stay near the chest when the level completes?

Are you guys finishing the Zone? Bauble achievements aren’t awarded until you kill the Cage Boss and wait out the Zone timer.
