Why is this a question and no. Having been around since closed beta days and using longbow throughout most of the time, I have seen it go from utterly terrible but still fun, to being brought to overpowered, and them readjusted to be balanced. Longbow is fine as it is. You want to remove longbow and have rifle be our only means of ranged combat? Rifle would need a complete overhaul because it is in a miserable state.

Give a suggestion for replacement or suggestion for fix instead of filling the forum with more garbage posts.

TL;DR

Rifle doesn’t have trololol AOE making it easy as hell to use like most other popular builds.

If you look at most popular builds they are cleave AOE with little skill requirement. Who needs to time your shots and choose targets when you can just hit everyone!

Worrier is hardddddd.

100B is dookie since launch. Unless the other guy is awful you’re not landing more than 2-3 hits of the 8.

100B should be mobile and if balance is the issue just reduce damage a bit.

This game has a theme of form over function when it comes to animations. Getting stuck in an animation is crap gameplay.

SHOUTBOW* is indeed an easy class to play in all game modes pve, spvp and wvw.

Main reasons for that:
-high base hp
-high base armor
-passive healing (signet)
-only 1 button for class mechanic
-insta cast shouts and stances make it impossible to interrupt the utilities
-5s weapon swap cooldown

Fixt for accuracy. Pick up a GS and get cheesed on by most other classes before you even get in melee range then tell me warrior is easy.

And having fun walking through 8 miles of AOE to even get to your target.

Which is the main reason all warriors are using longbow now. They’re joining the cheeseteam like all the other classes.

GS builds are going to be amazing after the basic specialization patch… We get like all the damage and GS traits in one spec rather than having to sacrifice or choose one over the other.

I’ll play WoW for a few months after the xpac when it’s fresh. Then it will stagnate just like GW2 is now. G dub was fun for a bit. But once you do everything there is to do in the game it’s pretty boring. WvW has been the same kitten for over 2 years now. Just sayin.

Living story? HA! Yeah those 2 hour updates are fun but after you’re done your 2 hours then what?

ANet doesn’t fix bugs anymore. They are more concerned with juggling OP meta builds.

I’m running hammer/GS now and liking it. Scrapped mace/shield GS. I do think something needs to be done with GS though. I agree that 100B should just be scrapped and totally redesigned.

Something about it just feels like trash. Probably the inability to move while casting. Or maybe the cast time. I feel like a warrior should be doing damage in single swipes not standing in one spot for multiple seconds swinging away like a dumby. Sometimes I’ll press 2 then try to start moving and cancel it and my character will be stuck in place.

Feels very unpolished.

Guys all this arguing about tiers and whatnot is pointless… There will be this match and next weeks then it is all changing anyway. As well as adding a reason to start caring about PPT… So if you don’t now, you better get your butts in gear before the 17th!

WvW season one announced – On October 4, running for 7 weeks, we will be creating from US and Euro worlds WvW leagues. (3 leagues of 9 worlds each for Euro servers and 2 leagues of 12 worlds each for US servers). We have created a schedule of match ups and each world will be matched at least one time against every other world in their league.

Results are tracked and those who participated will be rewarded at the end of the season according to their world’s performance.

There are weekly rewards and also rewards for worlds who win their leagues such as unique finishers.

New meta achievements for this season that give you a key to unlock your performance based rewards."

Why are Yak’s talking trash? It’s so kitteny to give condescending advice when you’re ahead in a match up. We’re by no means a high placed server. We’re all floating a little above average. Sometimes you have a good week, sometimes a bad.

Well I was wrong! Apparently the old Yak’s couldn’t be swayed by the might of the SAB and the next patch this month has tons of WvW content so we may be ok till October! WOOOOOO!! Although the next patch does have the redesigned tequatal fight…. We shall see!

Oh boy. Well I predict we stay under +200 ppt the rest of the week. The Yak’s Bend PVE army has left WvW to devour the new content/achievements. Should be an easy rest of the week for CD/Kain.

Anyone saying mace/shield GS isn’t the easiest trendy pile of hot garbage since launch is lying because they enjoy playing faceroll.

I’ve been running it since the warrior rebalance patch because I stopped playing as much as I used to and it’s relaxing to press 3 buttons and destroy people.

We need something new. Something more complex and fun for both people involved. We simply have more skull cracks than any class in the game has counters. Even a skilled player will usually lose a 1v1 because they simply ran out of CD’s to counter skull crack.

This whole thread is full of dumb.

The game is the worst it’s been since launch right now for all classes including warrior in terms of balance. Everything is laughably easy to play. Number one offender I’d say is necro. Necro is the prime example of a class that someone can reroll and know nothing about and still go into spvp after reading a build of the forums and destroy people.

You will always know a newb warrior because even if you read the build it is somewhat difficult because it is quite killable.

Don’t even get me started on daze and interrupts. No skill involved whatsoever. Just mark a target and everyone rotate dazes. No need to worry about timing to wait until the enemy is casting to score a successful interrupt. Just do it whenever because it’s the same amount of skill lockout time! Hooray!

Hoping at some point ANet stops this out of control trainwreck towards faceroll gameplay and goes back to their original concept of a highly skill based pvp combat system.

There are definitely people on YB who cheat. There is in no way something as large as a guild on YB that cheats.

More breaking news. There are cheaters on 1005 of the server NA and EU. Get over it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Because you catch 1 or 2 people cheating in WvW doesn’t make an entire server cheaters.

You lost because you couldn’t compete with our coverage and large zerg vs zerg fights. Get over it. Better luck next week. Sorry for your loss.

dagger/pistol videos are so boring to watch. Unless it’s thief vs 10 people it’s not very interesting. Jonathan Sharp decided the only counter to a d/p s/d thief is 10+ people. Or another d/p thief and then those duels are even more boring than a thief face rolling other classes that can’t reset the fight every 3 seconds.

Just a heads up to NSP players, YB likes to have some of their members hack into spawn to spy on your golems/attack your golems. Real class act.

EDIT: Removed the name of the guild to avoid an infraction. But had another YB guild hack into Bay on multiple occasions tonight as well. Usually these incidents are limited to a handful of players or a single guild, but it looks like YB is fielding a good number of players/guilds of this caliber.

All I see is the new ‘run away’ warrior builds. They charge you and if you don’t go down and actually punish them back, they race off like they have jet packs on their rears. They should all just roll a thief, getting away is so much easier.

I chased an NSP warrior from OL north gate in EB all the way to SM. Which was odd because at the time the whole zone was blue so I don’t know where he was going. lol

And on the thief thing… Lawdy lawdy lawdy. As a roamer it seems like that’s all I ever run in to. They could easily balance perma stealth. You can usually tell when something is imbalanced when the majority of the population plays dagger/pistol.

If the thief is terrible enough to backstab while someone is blocking/invuln/dodge rolling etc it should break stealth. That way stealth would have a counter play element. As of now it’s just stealth, backstab a block, backstab again after block LOL still got you.

Thief definitely needs more risk added to their massive bags of reward.

There is a reason sPvP stat points are capped. WvW crit damage is double what it should be in a 5v5. Many other stats are way too high for 5v5 balance as well.

Also all thieves and mesmers won’t win an spvp match.

yes. YB and SBI are bigger and better zerger servers. Since ive transferred to NSP i have captured a total of 3 towers and 1 keep over a period of a few months. I dont care about winning/score neither do the rest of us

I have taken at least: 10-15 towers, flipped camps 40+ times, and taken keeps (hills an bay) at minimum 15 times, all since the restart, as have just about everyone on all the servers.
So for you to say ‘3 towers and 1 keep’, is absolutely absurd, unless you have only spent 30 minutes in wvw over several months. So please, don’t say that the rest of us don’t care about winning or points.

Unless you mean in the past 2 months I havent been a zergling. And the keep capture was at like 3 AM with 4 people because there was no action. Ask anyone, I spend good time in WvW. I just dont care

Funny someone from SBI is already talking smack like this… I’ve had the same problem with SBI all day. Running from even fights and even when they have more people.

On the other hand… I’d be afraid of me too.

The screenshot looks stupid. There is no reason to have a full sized name tag on someone that is barely big enough to see on the horizon. Player names should get smaller as a player moves away from you.

I could turn nameplates off but then the game looks equally stupid because I don’t know who anyone is. Scaling name tags would fix this issue easily and people wouldn’t have to turn name plates off to see.

Just saw the video on youtube and followed the link here. Bumping it in hopes a dev reads it and comments. At least some reassurance that they understand and are working on some of the problems listed in this video.

You don’t always have to tell us a time table for when things will be fixed. Just admitting you know there is a problem and naming specific things you are fixing in the future goes a long way.
