Hi, I am looking for a nice, friendly and active guild to play with…. chill, hangout, kill stuff, etc. I played this game a long time but took a break for a year or two but got my interest up again with all the new content in the game.

The main reason why I am looking for a new guild is due to the time difference where most people are not available when I am available so this time hoping to find a guild that works close to my time at least.

So yea, drop me an invite. :-)

How can you trust someone who scams people? People like him are outright EVIL and full of criminal energy.

I believe the saying applies… whether it be good friends or bad friends they are still friends.

He scam people and you trust him? ………… no words it’s obvious he discovered your password and account email and used your account to do that.

Pretty much this.^

I would say the story just doesn’t add up. The fact that he gave you money to “pay you back” a bit, it comes to my mind that he used your account, scammed someone then moved the Dawn to his account.

Oh look people who play content only because it is an effective way to get money. You should play games like OpenTTD.

So they like to farm for money what is wrong with that? If they find it fun then leave them be as long as they are doing it legally.

I prefer it this way (without expansions only through bi-monthly updates) since paid expansions are no guarantee it will be “better”, it only guarantees that you need to buy it to find out. With the current living story + content updates if you don’t like the content, go play something else for a week or two then come back to see something new.

Worse case scenario is that one of the teams really did a bad job so go take a 4 month break and wait for the new team to take over. In an expansion you have to wait for years if you didn’t like the new content (or force yourself to enjoy it since you paid for it).

It is too hard to earn gold - A serious post

Zoldyck.6241

Hmmmm just seems like a bunch of cliques to me….gotta have this that or the other to be in a guild. Good thing I do not join guilds cause not one out there would get my help for treating people like crap just cause they do not know how to play or have the proper builds weapons or armour. Seems like high school again to me…lets pick at the weak kid and bully him into quiting. in the end the post is correct it is hard to make gold. I have never gotton over 2 gold with my characters and I am always doing the PVE’s and such things as the map events. Its very little gold if any cause the game forces a group to do everything and that group ends up taking over half of what you could have gotten in doing it yourself. So yeah its hard as hell to make anything unless you buy gems.

I mostly run solo (totally dislike running in groups) and get 2-5 gold on average of 2-3 hours a day (with manga/anime and movies in between) just by going through the world bosses and some mini-games. I think the problem is not that it is hard to make gold, but rather a lack of information.

Here is a link to the events you need to keep an eye on.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chest

It guarantees one rare (on most cases the 2nd chest might also give a rare). Assuming one rare is 20 silver and you did 5 events, that is one gold. Most events take 10 minutes to complete.

Last night, got a text telling me my account is suspended. ~_~

how is this relevant to the GW2 Discussion forum?

Well at least they are consistent with every patch since launch….

It would be a lot quicker if they just gave warrior and guardian IWin buttons and were done with it.

What are you talking about, Grdns have been getting nerfs since betas lol

Do you even play this game?

To be fair, Guardians haven’t been nerfed into irrelevancy. We’re still the best class in the game, and one of the most wanted in dungeons (next to zerk warriors)

In fractals, it is pretty much the only class they want at high levels.

If the long-awaited in-game lfg tool does not let players specify their specific requirements (e.g., berserker, or class, or whatever), there will either be a massive uproar or many people will ignore it and still use the 3rd party site.

I hope they don’t let people specify anything. Normal player will use the ingame one while the “elitists” will still use the external one (which will be interesting to see… imagine hard to fill parties).

No matter what ANet does with the promised in-game tool, some folks are going to be dissatisfied. I’ll make the popcorn.

Wait… you’re joking right? In order to purchase the weapon we want, we have to pay an “entrance fee” of 3000 AP for some armor piece none of us wants?

Surely I’m reading this wrong. Someone please clarify this.

They are adding a reward based on your achievement points. AP will not be deducted from your account, it will just come like a chest when you hit the mark.

Zenith Weapon Skins

Zoldyck.6241

For now, we only know what we get up until 3000 points. At 1000 points (That chest is rewarded tomorrow) you get a choice between Long bow, Short bow, Staff, Greatsword and Hammer. Then at 2000 (which is rewarded in 3 days) you get the same choice as before, meaning you can choose a second skin. At 3000 you get the choice between the 2 armor skins available. My guess is that at 4000 you get another weapon skin, but as we can’t see further than 3000 it’s only a guess.

Hope i could help! Have a nice day ^^

/Gammarik

Thank you for your answer.

I think thats a litte bit stupid. Becous we won’t be able to get the skins on all our alts. I really like all the Zenith Skins but it is impossible for me to get it on all 3 of my professions.

Having an alt myself I understand why you feel the alt will be left out however it is as fair as it can get at the current situation. It is supposed to rewards players and despite how many alts you have, you are still considered as a single player.

The opposite of “free” is not “costs money” but “requires effort”, which may indeed be worded as “requires work” in a broader sense. Achievement points don’t just appear for doing nothing, and there are severe diminishing returns on what you can do to get more, up to a hard limit that is only raised by the amount dailies/monthlies give in the respective time span, and content patches that add additional, often time-limited, achievements. Unlike, for example, dungeon tokens, one does not simply walk into a zone and come out with more achievement points, but has to do specific activities that, once done, yield no more points.

It is considered as free as you are getting something for not doing anything (yes, past effort was done however there is no promise of rewards at that point). The retroactive rewards are therefore free, in a legal sense.

However, future rewards beyond the retro is not considered as free. As there is a promise for reward and you need to put effort into it.

What class best for +all Stats armor

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Zoldyck.6241

Zoldyck.6241

Personally, I run with Celestial/Divinity as a base.

Depending on what I will be doing I’ll switch pieces/sets/skills.
- Fractals @ no zerk
- Dungeons @ maybe 50%/50% (except CoF, it is easy and safe to zerk)
- WvW @ depends. If it is a zerg, don’t zerk. If it is smaller group, zerk or mixed).
- PvE @ zerk
- PvE bosses @ depends but zerk or mixed.

As you can see, it is not being completely fixed on a stat, it is learning your limits. If you think you will be downed a bit then stick to +all stats then add more zerker gear as time and experience grows.

Being efficient is being able to run with as little downtime as possible and with as much damage you can carry.

Level 20 and have started running with 55% MF and still no more drops. Will i start getting more at personal lvl 20+?

You shouldn’t be running with MF in any dungeons. It won’t really help. It would be more helpful if you run with higher survivability/damage so that you can clear the mobs faster.

I ran with normal gear without MF and got nothing in 10 runs but suddenly got 4 shards on the 11th run from trash mobs.

Their logic is that you are still one player even if you have an army of alts. So it makes sense to me (in my opinion) as giving each alt an identity would give advantage, and thus open to abuse (people making trash alts just to farm rewards).

In the case of soulbound items, i believe they should all be account bound.

Temporary content working against GW2 [Merged]

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Zoldyck.6241

Zoldyck.6241

It will not only attract people to come every two weeks it will also scare people away. Many MMO players are completionist. With so many temporary content they will at some point miss one event, meaning they have achivements they can never complete anymore and for many of them that is enough reason not to come anymore because they are not able to complete anything anymore anyway.

Can you provide me with actual data to back that up? I don’t know about what “many” people are but personally I don’t go around chasing after achievement points. People I know have different versions of fun (wvw, pvp, spvp, jp, etc) so I do agree some people are completionist.

And the temporary skins means that if you make a char next week that would be great with an skin from a past event you will not be able to get it anymore so thats just to bad.

And there will be more skins in the future which gives rise to individuality and variety. I don’t really see it as a bad thing but I do understand how frustrated the person is when he badly wants that specific skin.

Temporary content in the form of achievements or rewards / skins you will later not be able to get anymore is bad.

That is a personal opinion, not really a fact.

That does not mean that is is never possible then there is an item you can not get anymore. Like a reward for playing the first year or a CE or whatever, but that would then be maybe 10 items over 10 years. But having a lot of that like with monthly events is bad.

There is no guarantee that the same skin or event will not be repeated in the future, if I were to guess it will be repeated with modification/improvement of the same previous event.

This keeps people logging in and playing the game at least once every 2 weeks. Which is good for the economy and the community. Permanent content will keep people logging in less since they know it will be there anytime and less people ingame is rarely a good thing.

Either way, why complain about free content? You missed it, there will be another one in 2 week…. and another in another 2 weeks… and another.

Great, now your stats are +5% better.

The problem i see is that people get a placebo effect that if they are not wearing ascended, they are as good as closed to naked compared to those who have it. 5% of 1,000 is 50 in a game where the max damage is in the range of 7-9k it is really insignificant.

Max damage is 40k+ with Warrior 100-blades, the final hit alone hits for 18k for me, and I’m not even full berserker. If you consider a berserker stat:

An ascended has 20+ power, 10+ precision and some extra crit damage more than an exotic.
12 ascended have 240+ power, 120+ precision and 10%+ crit damage

This is really significant.

Pls screenshot with 40k +.

OP, I get what you mean. Like you said, its a game and not real in that the toons and races aren’t real. (except human obviously) Still, its racism. I am obviously not offended. Yet, it’s still a little disturbing. It hits kinda close to home too.

Game reflects a bit of reality of life. People are racist on different levels whether they know of it or not and this can be due to many different reasons (trauma, abuse, bad experience, fear, etc). You can’t just pretend racism doesn’t exist, it does and as long as there are people, it always will.

I don’t find it disturbing as we know it doesn’t really mean anything ingame.

…only problem is a ton of people started leaving so now the game’s on life support with Living Story updates. .

It is the life cycle of games that people leave and new people join. Also taking account the fact that retention gets lower every year compared from previous years due to more variety and available choices, it would be a normal trend in any games.

Unless we have any real numbers I doubt we can conclude it is on life support or not.

Yes, in the end, everyone writes their side of the story in these forums. I haven’t seen a single comment that wasn’t biased and I doubt I ever will in any game.

Everything will be biased unless people have access to facts. The only people can give facts are the devs however as it is a business, it can also change depending on their management’s direction (which is why they tend to keep quiet on most things… to avoid any negative reaction when something changes).

…had a grasp of what made Guild Wars 2 great to begin with.
