I barely found out how to get candy corn in the first place (apparently doors appear out of nowhere randomly that I have to just run around looking for?). Is there some sort of NPC that helps you learn where crafting materials are for these skins?

I’m gonna assume that if Act I is intro to Candy Corn, Trick N Treat Doors, the costume brawl, and The Scavenger Hunt part 1 of the Mad King story
I’ll go in assuming Act II adds even more DEs, Recipes, Fun stuff, and Part II of the Mad King Story the Ruined Ghost Tower?
Is it going to be ethereal stairs and walls as that would be beyond Crazy awesome

agreed. for average players like myself who may already struggle to buy the best gear, this event is fun, but not really something i can afford to take home “souvenirs” from. everyone should have an opportunity to get holiday-themed items, but I think asking people to pour gold into it is really catering to people who, as op said, struck it rich off the tp, or who have the means to buy gems to convert. really not wanting to sound bitter here, but I wish there was something that could be done to make this event more accessible for the rest of us.

I never saw the first ghost either… I just noticed a Talk notice popup that was nearby the other NPC and a crowd of people were clumped on top of it so I assumed it was important.

I didn’t even see that nor did I see a ghost so I’m assuming that I’m either blind or something is borked on Jade Quarry

I had problems getting the ghost to show up, even after the mini-patch this morning. Apparently lots of people spamming their scanner at once messes it up, but she eventually showed up (just a few minutes) and I got to talk to her.

Yeah I checked and looked and nada

I spent 0 on Keys had 14 stashed away opened 14 chests got the usual junk but also picked up 4 more keys
Opened 4 more chests and got the Deathly Bull skin

I never saw the ghost and I scanned every frequency

Tombs was in but the Uber hardcore elite PvP guilds were the only ones who ever went there
FoW and UW came in an expansion
Some of the other areas got added in massive content patches
When I played GW it was Non-expansion fresh from the devs
And yeah Safer that’s a TON more than GW1 had to begin with, We even have more areas since we have some of the low to mid range content areas of GW1 for the 5 Races to tool about in even some of the classes that got ADDED to the GW1 game are in GW2 by default
Just because some of the High up content isn’t in game doesn’t mean it’ll never be there, just give it time. After all it’s been 250 years and the Dragons/Dragon agents are roaming about…Who knows who or what is out there…watching and waiting.

Thats a bit narrow minded. its a MMO"RPG". Thats Roleplaying Game. We have a person in our guild who loves crafting. He comes with us on adventures, but he does it solely to get materials and craft. He doesnt really bother with the fighting. Hes got a 400 Tailor/Weaponsmith, 400 Leathsmith/Huntsman, and simply plays the game to work the auction house, make ingame gold, and craft. He LOVES this. Hes basically our guild sugar daddy.

I assume he would be too with 400 in all that

Actually we tend to complain less on this one because the kittens aren’t hanging around here because they can’t flex their kittens to make themselves feel good

I would personally like to see new professions be a bit more evil. Right now we have only necromancer and thief who are on the evil or rather less good side. How about adding
-pirate
-vampire
-some evil melee fighter, maybe call him executioner or jailor and give him great axe, whip and a crossbow as a new weapon combo.

Also adding a new less good order would make an interesting curve in the lore. There are many examples in the real history: Inquisition, Knight Templars and so on.

Also I would like to have an option to join evil orders in the game, like sons of Svanir and similar and fight on the evil side. Why not giving an option? That would open a huge world of different possibilities to the players, giving different lore, spels, skills, armor and so on.

This would also require major cities as I’m fairly certain the son of Svanir aren’t going to casually stroll into any of the Norn cities

I like the hidden strawberry patch that the little Charr girl cub tends. It’s tricky to get to, and the strawberries are the only in-game reward, but it’s so well done and atmospheric, it is its own reward

There’s a potato patch in the sky in metrica province near Dr. Bleent’s encampment

lol technically, you should be level 80 before trying this XD. but no it WON’T reset, if everyone is wiped. we tried, and as long as someone, even one who is downed remains on the premises, it did not reset. so keep someone there at all times, unless you can solo without dying at all xD

There IS a chest at the end of the event. It looks small but yes there are a bunch of items you can pick up as long as you have contribution.

I died five times total the first run, three times the second run. so my repair bill wasn’t bad. lol so if you’re in a high level char, you should help and be alright as long as you treat it like a dungeon boss. At high levels embers are easy to wipe and so is damaging the boss, but surviving is the challenging part. For level 15s… well… tough luck lol just join in and get some high levels to help you. but this is ridiculous for a level 15 zone. needs to be toned down. maybe leave its life massive but less fatal damage… or just simply remove the knock down. lol that would leave it tough but a nice challenge

Imagine it scaled to a level 80 map…. its life will take forever to bring down

It needs to be toned down to be on par with the Shadow Beast in the swamp over in Queensland
It’s strong and has some life to it but it doesn’t spawn 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Mob adds who can infinispam an AoE that has Knockdown InstaGib Dmg and a Mega DoT then the Boss has that Firey wave that does so much dmg to anyone under 17 (which is the level of this stupid thing Again not a good idea in a 15 zone when you delevel everyone else to 16)
One wave even on my heavily armored character was over 1500 so unless this is supposed to be meant as an InstaGib move by this thing It’s Broken It’s trite and For how hard you work to get to this point this whole thing needs to be flipped around and there be a BACK entrance to the 15-25 zone nearby…As is in the 15 Max zone…too much…WAY too much
I always feel like the devs who worked on this were having a severely bad day and basically want us to know it….

Hard in NON-Starter zone being hard as heck with a zone boss sure
But Come on This Freakin Fire Elemental is 100x STRONGER than the Swamp boss in the human area
this thing is beyond Overpowered and even remotely attempting this will get you killed over and over and over and over
You can’t kill the embers fast enough You can’t hurt the elemental hard enough to stop it from Regening after it’s wiped the room
If anyone goes after this thing following events that are even tagged INCORRECTLY (lvl 1 – 15 zone lvl 17 Mobs) You should at least delevel to 17 Not 16 as the RNG system is ludicrously zealous for mobs dmg vs our dmg
In short Tone this encounter back a bit You’ve got the overpower gauge needle spinning endless about to explode

It affects your skill tree very slightly. All Norn have a were-thing skill as an Elite skill. Not sure if it’s 10 or 30 points, but it nets you a transforming skill that turns you into a Norn/(Spirit Animal) form to let you wreck enemies.

except for the fact everyone and their brother can get Snow Leopard

Some other ingredients that should be put back on the vendor is eggs, black peppercorn or the apples which there are 0 of on the TP

Apples in Bulk can be purchased from Eda in Queensdale for Karma or from Apple Jack in Gendarran for 16c each.

As a general rule, if the ingredient is Account Bound then there is a vendor somewhere selling the item. Just check the wiki for their locations.

Cooking was intended to be harder to level than other craft. I doubt that they would do anything about it.

Then they have failed, cooking still easier than the other options except Jeweler.

I haven’t found eggs to be too difficult to obtain they could stand to drop a tad more frequently but not too bad overall

Actually I’m a fairly casual player and I can assure you this whole diminishing returns nonsense is affecting me too. Either the whole thing is bugged as of last update or they’ve got it so high they may as well just refund our Real world Monies and let us go elsewhere cause the game is okay until you try to go to purchase something

Exactly, the reason they’re here in DROVES is because Gold means everything in the game.
Increase the output of funds game wide by at most 10%
Increase Karma gains at levels 40+ by 2x current levels (since you can’t trade Karma)
Make Karma used for more things than current Coinage currency
Watch Botters, Farmers, Sellers go poof

Adding a specific “report for gold selling” option to the in-game chat/mail report options would be nice too. I see a lot of people asking which is the right option to pick when reporting them. I usually pick spamming, but I feel that “gold selling” is quite worse than that, but I can’t accuse them of scamming since I can be 100% sure they’re actually scamming their “customers”

That’s been implemented apparently as of today, saw it earlier when I was reporting someone spamming

New races same classes no ELITE classes either this ain’t WoW or WAR

The ingredients in the last 100 lvls should be rare and hard to find to craft some seriously crazy foodstuffs for buffs but All of cooking being elite?……Someone really went insane on that deal
