Meteor shower has a long wind up/animation/cast time (or whatever you wanna call it)… so you’re not hitting them early enough.
This (again) has nothing to do with being not grouped, dealing not enough dps, or not getting your dps early enough.
Example from the last fight:
whole map starts burning blue down. I’m grouped, decent dps, and am one of the first to start attacking. One person from group gets loot, rest (including me) do not.
Whole zerg moves to green. Again, arriving with the first wave of zerg and dps-ing nicely till it’s dead. This time noone in the group gets anything.
We move to red, which has been attacked during all that time by a smaller group. When our zerg arrives, red is already at 50%. Me and my group, due to some delay, come after the main part of our zerg arrives. We start dps-ing but we do not manage to cause much damage before red is burned down.
…this time i do get the drops.
This is not the only case, by the way. It is clears that there’s something buggy with the loot tagging of these bosses. It’s not the usual behaviour at all.
Same thing with me, ranger glass cannon, exotics and ascendeds all zerker, longbow, spirits, shortbow giving a real good dps, stayed all the time with the buff, without the buff, even get achieve for not being hit, been on party, started party, tried without party, on overflow, on main… and gess what? 13 knights before AND NO LOOT! And before the patch all the time I got something. What is happening?
And how they can measure if it´s all playerskill or a group just dragging you by the hand all the fractals? I can do even an lv 50 frac using my toon lv11 with no AR. My teammates just have to keep ressing me every step and play as 4 members team.
I really laugh a lot everytime I see poeple arguing about thieves don´t helping the party.
It´s because they don´t need to help.
the only thing they have to do is help to kill the boss faster, the faster the boss die less damage/CD over the party. Simple as this. Most people here even don´t care if a mesmer will sit in a corner and only throw some timewarp on boss fights and use portal to skip some difficult part, one day I even used a white mesmer gear and almost done nothing on CoF and done 8 runs whitout people noticing it.
So I prefer a good DPS thief in my party than a stupid support thief that nerfs his damage.
If you put the notes on a site people will say that they can´t have time to acess at least once a week to see the notes.
If you put on login screen for easy read, people will say that the login screen was garbled with a lot of information.
If you put in global inside the game people will say that they are busy looking other things.
There will be never a good way to inform people about changes in the game. Like Catisa said: you can lead a horse to the water but you can´t force it to drink.
Even in GW1 you have to be on an outpost or city to respec your toon. So the same applies to GW2, i don´t see the point here except for not having a fast gear change or build saving.
Will you, Anet, make a tablet friendly version of GW2? A console version?
Why not make a something more on the side of the Opensource idea (not implying you have to open your code) and use something more multiplataform oriented?
Opengl and Openal WAS in the past a reall mess, now they are as powerful as any directx library (if not better). Linux is going to a more unified place with Ubuntu and Mac is using a *Nix plataform with good compatibility with everything you made for linux.
Forget about Valve, think about Microsoft turning our pcs into a tablet.
There is a lot of players that don´t want to play as mesmer, warrior or guardian but want to make some easy money on a easy dungeon. Like some said, make de story mode, start a group an look for players. Most of them on a sucessful run will even stay and “farm” with you.
Forget about these speed run groups, they will never accept another class other than their “perfect” setup.
About 4 months and no answer. If you don´t want to translate the game why not make an easy way to people translate the game, somehing on the same way of the music playlist.
We have very good “krews” of translators like Gamevicio who will make a very good work without you having to pay.

1 – It´s not a matter of choice, some people don´t live in rich countries. In Brazil you pay more than 1500 for a middleware computer. And we have minimum wage of 300… (dollars)

3 – So you don´t have a clue about how many troubles this guest dragon system caused on JQ, frequent disconnects, lag compatible with Karka event, people DC on dragons and transfered to overflows losing the dragon and the chest. Do you think it´s fair with people who choose that specific server before the end of free transfers?
Or you must be one of those dragons farmers trying to unlegitimate our claim or you dont have a clue about people are complaining.
How can you use heal by mouse click on icon? It really faster using shortcut. Nice fight btw.
I use mouse click as well. I actually unbind my heal skill from my keyboard so I don’t accidentally use it trying to do something else. The mouse click means my brain has a moment to think about if I really need it or not, and thus I don’t end up wasting heals in dire situations.

This “elistism” is created by stupid people, people don´t have imagination nor capacity to create something new. They need to create a magic formulae to do things and attach to it. You can see this in bake recipes, 99% of people will make the recipe precisely, the 1% will change something to make it better.

AC is the cheapest of the dungeons, you can skip hard content and because the highest level scaling of all dungeons it will not make so drastic changes using a low level gear or exotic gear. So stop comparing your kitten geared AC runner with high top runners in COF, COE or Arah.

Heh? In your quest log (default key L), you have a button to abort quests next to the quest.

1. Again: I don’t need to be, I just am. My point is not that I need to level to 80 to join an order, my point is that if I want to reset my order option, I have to level that character to 80 again at some point, because, you know, a new character is not level 80, like the one I just botched with a simple slip of the mouse.
2. That MMO would be called “Guild Wars”. It literally has a button to reset quests.
ps.: You can also reset quests in GW2, because if you log out of the instance before you get your reward, the whole thing gets reset. The solution in these cases would be to extend that possibility to the Reward Select?screen. Or, easier, make the NPCs ask: “Do you REALLY want to make this choice, or was that a mistake?”

My armor breaks IF my mosue slips and I die. I want a armor reset button. My mouse slip and I close the game, I want a reset close the game button. My mouse slip and break, I want a reset mouse button…

The quest only resets totally if you close the game much before the last part of the quest before the reward screen. And you really get a point in the end a new screen asking “if you are sure about your choice”. This is a good point, not a reset button.
Why you need to be 80 to do your storyline? All my 6 chars I was doing storyline with normal leveling to get more easy xp.
And remember, this is an MMO not an single player RPG where you can cheat quests and if you kitten anything you just cheat reset. Every move has consequences, there is a lot of databases that will need to be adjusted and more and more code need to be created leading to more and more bugs or things to just waste server memory/process.
And sorry I really can´t remember one MMO that has your “reset quest” button.

So if the OP just want to see the fur patterns using the topic name like this to call more attention is a deprecable way to do something. It´s a “look at me” kitten attention post then. For me looking at this type of topic name and all the talk about how humans, norn and sylvary has those “skimpy” clothes… I stopped to read right there.

If someone has a good idea with a good base to support and real positive feedback, not just fanboys of one or other style, you can be sure that Anet knows.
So, if you have a really trash idea, an idea that you think is the greatest ever, but subconsiouly know is probably not great, you can make so no one can respond. Then your trash idea disappears in the blink of an eye because so many new threads are posted so often that without the bump of responses who can keep up?
While in the current system if your amazing idea is extra special trash, and you’re still willing to defend it, your idea can stay on the first page for ages because of all the bumps of people responding with criticism.
I’m honestly no sure if that is endorsement or criticism, but I will say I don’t like this idea and think it should not happen.

Again something against the lore. The charr females are “slaves” of males in GW1, the shamans cast them as a inferior category and not suitable with “hard work”.
It needed a lot of powerful females to show them what “fragile sex” is. Even Kala Scorchrazor.
She worked really hard to put females SIDE-BY-SIDE with males as warriors. Now someone just “used” her name and now wants to “sexify” all the hard work female charrs had.
I really don´t care for “sexy” town clothes. But female charr is as good as a male charr and her armor must be as powerful.
A friend of mine had his account terminated for helping gold sellers/botting. But he was hacked and sent 3 support emails asking for account recover. Without any response for the part of Anet, he logged on his NCSOFT account and used his linked account to change the password. Then he entered on the site and forced the disconnect of the botter and recovered his account by himself.
And he don´t even received ANY feedback from anet.
Today he had his account terminated, even with 3 emails asking for support without any response.
Now the only thing he want is his account back. What do he need to have it back?
p.s. He used the ask a question tool to ask for support.

The commander merit today is totally kitten. Every idiot with 100G can be a commander and a blue tag on map confuse players. Simple as that. And even you said:

If you do not agree with the current commanders decision,how about you give him a pm and let him know what other plan you got ? A commander tag is not to be just something for people run to you and be at your feet. A commander tag is not to be just followed around. Is for LEADERS make squads and work as a team capturing objectives.

Oh, I understand. You make your party, not an optimal, made from some casual players. Want to do hve fun on the dungeon but there is two trolls, normaly PVP players with help of a lot of AI npc to kitten your work.

A new slot is about 16G, a 3 or 4 hours of cof farming (I know it can be a 1h40 of farming with a very efficient farm). So you can get a new slot every 2 or 3 days. I really don´t see why anet must give us free slots if we can get one just for playing.

Yes, but a good pvp player+wvw player make a good commander. PVP laurels+all wvw achievements complete show a person who like the “player” competitive part of the game. And know what he have to do.
A good wvw player can complete dailyes and montlhys pvp and even the WvW achievements. So it´s a better way to get commander than gold and will reward good players.

Why must we have a caste system in WvW? Commanders are being treated like gods in WvW simply because of their tag.

The game is called Guild Wars just because the lore of the first game. They need some consistency about naming their games. Imagine a game called World Wars the continuation of guild wars… Most people will not relate one with the other.
Change the naming Elder Scrolls: Skyrim to just “Dragonborn”. How it will relate to the other elder scrolls games?
And most of the time. There area lots o guild participating in WvW, giving credit for just one guild for getting a tower? And the other guild that keep enemies at the main Keep leaving a lot of space for your guild to keep just a little tower? They don´t helped you so they will not get credits for this?
It´s not Guild VS Guild VS Guild. It´s WORLD vs WORLD vs WORLD. someone on the other side of the map can be helping your guild to achieve.
