It would be hard to find a clear winner, all of the races seem pretty adapt at holding their own. They all have the ability to prolong a war to last for generations.

Humans have done it against the char for much longer than 250 years. They actually have technology (watchwork knights anyone?) and exceptionally gifted magic users such as Queen Jennah+Countess Anise (who casted a spell that petrified an entire army). Plus the whole magical nukes should also be taken into account (cataclysm/foefire).

The charr have their own problems and have the industry to back them up. That and they are built for war.

The sylvari’s only weakness is that they have a vulnerable capital, the pale tree. But if they were able to hold and keep the tree alive, they seem to have a HUGE supply of fully grown and trained soldiers pouring in. In time, they’d be a major threat.

As many have stated, the norn are in a really hostile environment that will deter any invading forces, as for them expanding and conquering, I don’t see that happening at all. Unless they change their culture.

Asura’s have their technology. They are capable of great magical destruction with their lasers and golems. If they were at war with the other races, they could possibly create a wmd.

In the end, the war would last for a LONG time and pretty much anyone can be a victor aside from the norns (there are too few to actually hold and expand their territories).

The fact that she was a mortal human 150 years ago is a pretty big reason. I mean, she (or her captors, if she was captured by someone) could probably use magic to extend her life, but the chances of her appearing in game are pretty slim, barring time-travel shenanigans. But considering time-travel shenanigans aren’t really a thing in Tyria, I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

Normally i’d believe that too if not everyone moved away. And with everyone, i mean all the WvW guilds are literally gone. In the early days SoR had WvW guilds that made the difference (Choo, TW, Caedas and such). I wouldn’t be surprised if SoR moves down eventually to tier 6 or even tier 7 because with no real WvW presence, it’s really hard to get new WvW guilds to your server when the general WvW population is going down so rapidly.

In the early days I am speaking of, we were ranked #17 or below, which is tier 6 or 7. The server was starting to come together and find our footing in the GW2 world, heck WvW still had orbs back then. Caedas was a really big presence in WvW for us. There were other guilds specializing in WvW, but I specifically remember CDS because their commander Mara was a near constant presence in WvW and quite a good commander at that.

Yes, it may be difficult to get new people transferring here while server situation is in a state of flux. I think our first steps in stabilizing our WvW presence, is awakening the dormant WvW population of the server and re-engaging the lapsed WvWers. Sure, this may not mean huge numbers or send us shooting up through the tiers, but it is important to start at home for us.

commander Mara was from the guild EPIC. CDS had I think it was Alpeca Owl.

This, at least, is definitely false. We saw plenty of magical races in Cantha and Elona- hell, Elona had djinn, which are advanced elementals- literally sentient beings of magic.

I think he means the rest of the map, so everything but Tyria (continent), Cantha, and Elona. There is a whole globe in the Order of Whispers base showing what appears to be a map of Tyria (world).

If they do something like this, it’d need to be something like this, with no rewards other than recognition:

Most Time Commanding : Player 6

Use a transmutation crystal to transmute your legendary to a white weapon. Then move that new white weapon with the legendary skin, but white stats to the character you want. Use a transmutation splitter and you’ll get the legendary back along with the white. The legendary will be soulbound to the character that splits it.

Another thing that makes this easier is that guilds usually follow the same 3 or 4 commanders, so it’s just a matter of finding out how they look and what wvwvw title they have.

If you have completed Eye of the North, Primordus will be wake up and he was the first of the Elder Dragons to awaken in Tyria. He’s a destroyer Dragon.
Also… this is so confusing.. I thought Primordus would be in GW2 since the EotN gave us a hint at the ending that the first Elder Dragon awaken up, but yet he’s not in GW2??

You can also see:
Jormag sleeping in the sea in Far Shiverpeaks. – He’s in GW2.
Kralkatorrik can be found sleeping in the Charr Homelands. – But he’s not also in GW2?!
Zhaitan is also a Elder Dragon.

Jormag is not in Guild Wars 2 – not physically. None of the Elder Dragons except Zhaitan have shown themselves and this is because they’re not close enough to be a true threat yet. Supposedly all Elder Dragons will eventually be featured, though honestly I now wonder if GW2 will even last long enough for such…

Crafting is alright, but you have to be lvl400 in the crafting disciple in order to craft the item you want.

Crafting an item would not make it soulbound or even account bound (unless it’s celestial)
Crafting also gives your character experience while you do it, so it may be best for you to do it on a non lvl80. (it gives around 7 lvls for 0-400)

Just counted, anywhere from 38-45 SoR, and around 33 of your guys, a few are dead as well, not to mention any others that already respawned. All in all, SoR maybe had 4-8 more people than you in that fight. In a spontaneous open field engagement, that is about as even as it gets.

A slightly cheaper alternative would be to upgrade the cores

Won’t happen. Not with BG losing some guilds(mainly ZDS) and SoR gaining quite a bit of guilds in a week or two.

ZDs stated when they joined that they had no intention of staying. Unless they were trolling.

I’m not even sure if I’m happy or kittening kitten ed off now. They butchered every lore they’ve implemented since the living story update. Watch, in the next halloween update, we’ll find out that Scarlet IS the Mad King Thorn, and that Traherne is an elder dragon, and gw2 never really happened (our gw1 characters got into a coma and this is his/her dream/nightmare). At this point, I’m not even going to bother paying attention to lore anymore.

That trailer was meant to be released when they originally implemented fractals.

People taking breaks/quitting once season starting makes no sense. I can understand doing so beforehand or afterwards but this is what most hardcore WvW players have been looking forward to since this format was announced. To just “take a break” 2 weeks into it is just weak.

Leagues are by far the dumbest thing to hit WvWvW in a while. WvWvW isn’t even close to being fixed and they throw this out there to try and get more pvers interested in it. This is just a little “we need an excuse to push back wvwvw fixes for a while” as leagues guarantee that wvwvw wont be touched for 7 weeks. As in updates and fixes it so desperately needs. But wvwvw will get touched (for pve), kittening salads are killing my dolyaks.

Alright so looks like Fann is the PR rep for SoR. Can you give us your excuse as to why SoR is losing by just under 111k this week compared to the 10k loss you suffered the first week? Not intending to be trolly but really confused as to why the gap is so much. Thanks!

The first week was a actual 3 way with each side being able to offset the others strong time zones. ie. JQ SEA vs BG and SoR SEA. The second week, SoR got a early lead in the weekend and assumed they were going to coast the rest of the week, so they sort of stepped off the breaks. BG did a unexpected and massive push which started to break SoR’s lead. Before SoR even began to do a counter push, ZDs shows up. Seeing as how they play the gap of SEA and EU, SoR basically said “kitten it.” At least that’s what it seemed like to me.

The thing that is getting people worked up soo much is that ZDs transfered (they play the gap of SEA and EU) and field a 35+ and they stated they are only taking a vacation to BG. That’s the problem. BG helped pay for a small fraction of their fees even though they only came for a vacation, so in a sense they are just playing mercenaries.

I understand where you’re coming from on that and that you are going to see it from a different perspective. We don’t see them as mercenaries because even if they are only here for vacation, we still want them to feel at home here. If they stay or not is up to them, just like it was for MERC, RISE, Agg, and others, they will do whats best for there guild and Blackgate supports that.

Also I’m assuming you’re using the word “Mercenaries” very loosely. Looking at the definition, they actually lost gold in this move so its not very mercenary like.

Thing is, they moved without any intention of staying. And they lose gold, but they gain “fun” in a sense. So it really depends on how they value the entertainment.

Doubt it, the magitech stuff are still in the gem store, so why would they remove the other skins? They probably mean only the mad king’s outfit, witches, executioner, and bloody prince ones.

Before GW2 came out, I’ve always had a different impression on how they’d do the armor. I always thought that every armor piece you get is how it is, but you can use the transmuation stones to make a specific piece of armor a “costume” type piece. Like have 2 armor sets in your character menu, one for the stats, and the other for the look. Then you can change a zerker piece for a knights without having your char look any different. The costume pieces can only be placed in the costume slots, and the stat armor like wise. If nothing is in the costume slot, your character will take the appearance of the stat armor instead. But I was wrong.

Maybe $110? or something like that. Was worth it imo.
