I would say spend a bit of that gold and buy 3 crafts per char. Armor, tailor and leather on 1, that way u get buy 1 insignia recipe u can use em on any of the armors, same goes for weapons, hunsman. Artificer and chef on main for pots and buffs. Well thats the way I did it

Gw2 will still be here. The population may be reduced but will survive for awhiile yet. Theissue I think is the potential is there, unfortunately the development isbt. We are given exciting concepts that just arent implemented and we are getting frustrated. Sure w dont see every unhappy user posting, they just talk with their feet and move on. We do hear from the vocal minority who either are blinded by the promise and potential of the game or the disheartend fueled by the prospects that are not realised. Either way, the static and stagnant content will eventually drive the population lower.

On the other side of the coin is if anet gives us new fresh content, the game still has so much growth potential. Its all in anets hands. Ijust hope they make some better calls than they have over the last 18 months

RNG is ridiculous and just a stoopid promotion for gambling or gambling addiction. Perhaps like Magic Find, we should have a gambling trait, that increases with each new RNG item opened. Eventually we might have a chance of getting those impossibly low ration items we all really are looking for.

i am so disappointed that the Ascended Accoutrement does not option a precursor to choose from. After creating/investing in 3 armor craft professions to 500 and then crafting 3 full sets of ascended this title reward box should give option to select a precursor. The precursor should be account bound on acquire so it cant be sold but at least would give a path reward that makes the title really worth it.

Since crafting legendary is still a big investment, this wouldn’t upset the tp and would give people hope.

Right now its a choice, save all your cash and buy precursor from tp with exotic armor or craft ascended armor and ascended weapon.

been playing GW2 for 2 years. my last guild has reduced and runs more on Amex time these days. I’m on the hunt for a PvE oceanic guild. I main thief, however have kitted out necro and guardian also.
not afraid to change servers and jump into WvW, but its not my prime interest. Definately not into PvP.

U r going toneed a bucket load of empyreal shards/stars. Run dugeons, get shards and the gold from dungeon runs and just buy the mats. AC, TA and SE r quick. 2 paths each, thats 6g plus, per day for less than 2 hours. And 1 star per day. Ur going to need 15 stars for armor, that about 75 dungeon runs so u might as well start now.

im trying to finihs twilight arbor. i have story, leurent and spider done (3/4).

Aether isnt part of the tyria dungeons, so which path am i missing to complete.. please :-)

Heres one for ya… I have everything needed except the precursor. I could buy it but im waiting on craft precursors in the hope new legendaries are in the mix. Patience is waiting for this..

I am so thorothly disenganged from this content.i liked the previous stories, but this I just cant even be bothered finishing. Being forced to play Mario Bros to finish the story…… well I just do not find it rewarding my gameplay time.

this is feedback.. the PvE necro is not just meta, its a diverse class that has many options. The guide is great, no denying, from a certain focus and perhaps should be entitled PvE Meta Necro rather than generalised title.

since when. Wher does it say this is for Meta Necro designed for PvE dungeons.

Full props to Spoj, he has been a great Necro representation and put alot of good details in this guide and the forum in general.

while the guide looks great for the Meta, it should be titled as such. PvE can cope with condition builds and hybrid builds (tho not optimal). I think the guide misses a lot of opportunities to explore other parts of the PvE game.

well now.. let me think best way to play GW with ur GF.

1: strip dungeons.. everytime someone dies, remove a piece of clothing.
2: Shot thru the Heart: everytime you die in WvW you must drink a shot
3: Level for Love: everytime you level, other must give you something zone appropriate: EG: 10 Ancient Woods (hehe) for a level in Cursed shore
the list is endless. Think of fun RL scenarios you can play out for certain achievements.

Why is it a grind. That has such bad sound to it.
to me a grind says, gotta get it now, gotta be leet. A goal on the other handis something to achieve.

personally, I have been playing for almost 2 years. I set a goal and it happens, not as fast as the grinders, but I get there. Now I have full light ascended armor I crafted. I crafted rodgorts, and now I am close to finishing gift of fortune.

Its all about attitude, if you grind it, its a bad thing, if you achieve a goal its good. If you set your goal as not wanted legendary (for example) great, but you still have goals.. have fun, be top player, have good looking skins, relax, enjoy the game else you mght as well call it a day.

i like the current options.. wouldnt add new weapons, just add cleave. i think we have some really great weapons

I dont like tractals. I found people moved to cursed shore. Easy lootz and lots of events. Decent cash and karma there too

serious question. What legendary would you make. My dilemms is I have 3 toons I use alot. Necro that has marjorys axe and eye of rodgoft. I like em… then I have a thief using dqggers and shortbow… and finally a guwrdian with gs/sf.

I cant choose. I am 3/4 the way there and just need the precusor, so its down to figuring it out.

I think they have to use ascended weapon as part of the precursor.. it already costly, gated and requires 500 crafting. My bet is ascended wepon will be component 1.. this way they can easily move up to legendaary armor as they will have a method toupscale ascended in place

Simple really. I am venturing into wvw and building a thief for that reason. I am going to go d/d for a burst build, not conditions.

from what I read valk armor with zerks trinkets nad a 0/6/4/4/0 build is somewhere in the right ball park. Can I get a confirmation plse.

Axe is fine, would be great with cleave. I would love to see scepter bleeds changed to torment, seems more inkeeping with profession.

So I finished my game goals. Neva thought I would get to the point where I would want a legendary so burnt my karma. Now I need ob shards so I need karma. Wots best or fastestway to get either shards oor karma.

I want the satisfaction of making my own so not buying one from tp.

very happy with RNG her…. got my refunded dyes. opened them and got alot of new ones, including abyss and celestial.. also made over 80G on reselling the ones i had already.

so i have me a guard, ele, necro. i’m working on jumping into the warrior bandwagon. Right now im leveling dual wielding axe and switch to longbow.

my question is, is this a viable weapon set?? I want to make sure i’m familiar with the play for main weapon choices when reaching 80.

I have an 80 guard, ele and necro. All have map completion. I wastest my birthdays trying classes out. Didnt like em so im building a warrior. Im too lazy and not looking forward to lvlling thru hearts n stuff like I did b4. Grinding the trains is boring too.

totally agree.. guardian.. as whole largley unchanged. other classes are getting tweaks an changes every release…

Strongest or current meta is different to stable and warrior is constantly changed..def not stable…

guardian is both stable, strong and largely welcome is groups/pugs and all aspects of play. other classes such as necro/ranger/thief/mesmer omplaints are pretty warranted. elementalist is also pretty darn good but doesn’t have the range of play guardian does and also requires a high degree of knowlege and prolly the highest combat requirements (switching from earth,fire,air,water) constantly to get the best bang.

Ur missing the point. A company is only as good as its customers are happy. The ability to change stats, even if once only will foster good will.

Oh, and no, its notlike asking after every buff or nerf that tweaks balance etc.. this change is to the core fundamentals that have existed since the game began… also its not only zerkers that are impacted. Many build will feel the changes andmore changes to runes and sigiles that compliment the stats in the first place… a one off change certainly isnt unwarranted or unprecedented.

to the necro nerds… i dont have the techno ability to kitten the impacts to our gear choices.. anyone able to fill us in??

Rampager | Carrion | Dire | Rabid.. we all see the impact to berserker’s but what about the other gear choices we use?? Heck could Valk or Celestial or Zealots might even be worth exploring.

Will be looking at new gear for condition or hybrid builds or should the impacts be low ???

I don’t know and i’m sure lots of others have no idea how to crunch the numbers either.

The cultist, dark room, sacrificial succubus type of look is my benchmark. I also rock sunbringer wings to go with the whole package.

As mentioned, PvE meta is and looks like power/zerker will be for some time. That doesnt mean the others cant be fun (I play hybrid and enjoy it the best), meta is about effective not neccesarily fun for all. Since ur talking PvE any of the types will work well and being a necro is enuff for some prejudice no matter your build, so find what u like to play and go with that.

Warrior. Thats it. Do not let any other profession enter ur brain. Warrior.

why, the most forgiving class and the most in demand. Evenn a bad warrior can do ok.. being bad at any other prof will be painful. Then the ele and thief just requires too much skill to be average with. Mesmer and engineer have their own probs too.

Dont get me wrong, a warrior can be even better with skilled operator, but a bad warrior is still ok. Oh and dont even think about the underdog classes of necro or ranger… thats just asking for bad news. Unfortunately this is the way the community attitudes and game has developed.

Unfortunately warriors rule. Guardians and elementalists are welcome. Rogues, engineers and mesmers in limited numbers. Necros and rangers are not looked at favorably.

Well, thats the way it seems to play out to me.

what carp was this.. in a group, knight drop nothing… then get through and finish on the shi and the chest has complete junk.. 1 yellow and a bunch of green and blu garbage. Thanx for killing an hour and giving no rewards.

The event is great, the rewards are crap!!! this is a full group an my personal mf% is @176%

both are incredibly good choices imho. cant argue anything that has already been said. both have pro’s and cons for your play style. Personally the biggest difference is warrior is easier to play than guardian but guardian range is garbage.

Warriors get alot of love from A.Net, lots of changes that impact the gameplay where guardian is very much unchanged, probably due to being designed well in the beginning.

both r welcome in pretty much every part of the game (PvP, WvW and PvE) with varying degrees of success.

in the end, hat you are happy with.. I personally play guardian, a friend plays warrior. we have fun on our respective classes. If you choose and design to META, then you are unlikely to enjoy the game as much as playing something you have fun on.

do it.. have fun! i used to main a guardian, i discovered and have sooo much more fun with my necro alt, she is now my main. i am gearing her with everything. my guardian is back to zerker build so i have an alt for those rare (and i mean rare) time where my necro isn’t welcome. If you have fun with it, build it, play it, enjoy it. Don’t let others rule your downtime with the meta builds and warrior/mesmer mentality.

so I am lookinh here specifically to keep the trinkets as exotic. This is to allow me to change socket jewels to get changes in stats. The crit damage is low, but I can swap in ruby jewels and change foods.

The build is more on gear than trait sets btw.

Im trying here to get easy stat swaps with minimal costs. This is PvE only so feedback on that would be great

I really, realy hope, if/when they introduce legendary armor, the ascended stuff will be equiv of precursor. Heck, we got soo much invested, it would make sense.

Dunno why they cant make a grand master trait that converts bleeding stacks to other type… so each trait can select to chnage bleeding to burn or poison etc.. that way instead of stacking bleeds all the time different chars can inflict diff stacks.
