this was clearly made in order to make the life easy for newcomers, players buying gw2 at Christmas, and i can tell you that there were a lot of purchases, sicne theyr system was stuck so badly that a sn i bought for my bro toke 5 days+ to be delivered.
lvl80 veterans are definitely not meant to farm the mats, but the gold to buy the mats from the tp from low level chars.
a stealth way to redistribute richness between the population.

i’m startin to get nevervous for this story, still i dindn’t receive my code and is well more than 48 hrs.
if i could have an eta on this would be great.
also as i wrote in the post of ticket 3 days an older, the funnyest thing is that meanwhile the price dropped 40%.
I mean if i had the code straight away i wouldn’t complain, tough luck but i really think that i do deserve a compensation for this at least.

this sucks anyway, i’m still w8iting for my serial too the problem is that i payed through paypal. an i used that account to buy my copy and my gf one. also probably 3-400$ of gems in more tan a year of game.

as for the corsair cooling, be sure to get a chassi that cools well enough the gpu , whileis true is taking out most of the cpu heat from the case i did the mistake to get a corsair chassi once and was getting so hot because was meant to be for full liquid systems. and don’t expect performace far better than a good air coling

well i kinda agree that queensdale champs farming is stupid and harmful for the game, and not so rewarding moreover.
cannot say the same for frostgorge i’m perfectly fine with that.

afaik you have to transmute it to a white account bound item, move it to another char and the use the extractor.
a hint: you can youse the char plush backpack to do so, buy the set version so you get a white back with no stat and then sell the skinn for almost no loss.

ticket was posted few days ago, had a answer from cs but this is really getting frustrating.
yhey keep saying the system is busy processing other orders and there is no ETA on when i can get the code.
i bought the game for my Brother 3+ days ago now and i still didn’t recive the serial number. i cn understand that is Christmas and all but is not possible to w8 that long to get just a sn.
Moreover the game went down 40% while i was waiting for the code to come and as explained i would like at least that the difrence will be refounded on the account with equal mmount of gems.

please solve asap as is supposed to be a chrismas present, and i already calceled a order from a italian retailer in order to get it in time, nobody would think that takes more than 10mins, immagine 3-4 days, to get a digital item.

happened to me once i tried to use a ita credit card from ingame whle i’m actually in australia. this locked down any gem purchase even throu paypal. had to contact customer service.

keepass is open source, tested and safe, can put a kdbx file on dropbox and access it from anywere, ther’s also android and iphone versions, can also make a portable version ona usb stick and use on public pcs

i tried to buy from gw2 website but in country selection italy was not present..
i also noticed that the price was in usd even if i got to gw2 from Google.it.
Since i’m a network engineer, i figured out it was a ip lock system so i tried to use a vpn relay server in belgium and it worked! aparently…
basically i registered with my fathers email but payed with my paypal account, went to check my father’s email and hotmail tells me something suspicius was detected, basically it locked me out of my father address due to a suspicius ip lol.

so i had to confirm with a code that was gonna be sent to the alternate addres wich was my address since i made the account for them.

I admit i was stupid not to think about it, but i went to my mailbox to get the code and, no wonders, i locked that tooo! unlucky i didn’t have any alternative address but just a mobile number tha was stollen a month ago:(

had to go throu a kitten absurd web form asking me last object of sent mails, last addresse i wrote, kast password i used and a bandwagon of crap.

Well, according to this, https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/27658858-Game-Regions Australia can register either version, so I would imagine you are allowed to buy either version. You might use the link at the bottom of the page to contact CS and ask them about it, telling them you would prefer to connect to the EU database servers, and then send the code along to your family member. It might be worth a try.

the problem is that in the billing address drop down form was not showing the italy at all. my credit card would refuse the transaction, only na region country were selectable.

btw with the vpn gimmick i did it at the end, but i can recal a post saying that ips from publick vpn servers as the one i used were triggering some allarms in their systems, probably that’s why after hours i still didn’t receive the serial via e-mail address.
let’s hope for the best!

Dunno if is cause my ip is from aussi or what but i can’t chose the version when i do the purchase process.

imho with a bit of trolling this is a very alt friendly moment for gw2.
Yesterday i bought a full set of cleric heavy armor for less than 3g.
armo and weapons are extremely cheap now, at the point that some can gamble buying at 50s/pice and salvaging due to the sky high price of ectos!!
This is at least a good way to gain something back from the ascended madnes going around!

what i don’t understand is how can they make a living, isn’t anet banning also the buyers? how people can trust buying from them? it isn’t that hardfor anet to ban them a mail from a suspicus account with 1000g atttached will definetly make some bells ring! i heard of some ppl getting banned for exchanging “few” hundreds of gold between friends to help making legends or precursors.
i recently bought dawn for my gf and mailed her, a while ago she borrowed me 280g to finish making twilight.
we were so scared about getting autobanned that we wrote messages into the mail for adin like “pls don’t ban us just borrowing to my bf!!!” is that a legnd?

lol openned 1000 giant gifts Yesterday hoping to find dwayna recipe, and noticed all that Yellow crap flowing into my inv.

i would like to thanks anet for the upcoming pvp changes.
the one i’m mostly happy about is the introduction of tomes of knowledge through glory and little golds, finally we have a worthy alternative to level alts than doing random stuff or following wvw zerg with low level chars.
this willa lso bring ppl to pvp which is Always a good thing.
a win win situation for everyone as i see it.

achivement hunters will e back if they make season 2 the same way, just for the sake of the achivements, i’m kinda soft core hunter and i would do that regardless of the compensation.
you cn be sure that the 10k first in the leaderboard would do that, so better no moroe season achivements and we are all happier;)

1 question:
why the effect is not reflected into the stats? eg sig of force doesn’t change to attack i hero panel.

question 2:
Sicnce sigl of force and acuracy doesent stack, is it worthles to have them on different weapon set? eg am i wasting somethin on a warrior usin a gs with sigil of force+ axe and mace using force and accuracy?
i mean, am i better replacing that force on the axe with smething else ?

question 3:
do they stack whith underwater weap?

most of all they need to provide a feasible way to obtain things in this game, not more ways to make gold.
look whats happening to t6 mats, ppl make tons of gold grinding but t6 drops sucks and the price keep skyrocketing.
imagine if new legendary will require lots of lodestone and t6, lodes price back to 4g and t6 dunno 1g each?
the day they wil make drop rate 5x or evn 3x on certain items will be the day we won’t feel grind anymore

watch it an you see that legendary thinkrets are definetly coming.. now i can safely bet is an amulet, and it would make sense since they are starting with amulets that is onl 1 to grind for.

For those asking it may also have a sort of visua effect too as colin says!
anyway as i said i can justify grinding for alway BIS and swappable stats, at theend is a MASSIVE qality of life improvement, end of multiple sets! and ofc it needs to be cosmetic too!

I’ve been chasing twilight legendary GS since a year, when ascended weapons rolled out i was gonna make one for my main but as i saw the enormus amount of cash required i suddenly decided to keep on saving for twiligt and i had it at the end.

everything started with ascended thinkrets, grind grind grind.. now next to rollout is legendary thinkrets, Always best in slot, swappable stats.. i’ll w8 legendary armors.

I agree, making RSA auth. mandatory instead of optional would nip this problem in the behind pretty hard.

Blizard had to do the same for D3, basically they said only rsa protected accounts were gonna be refounded in case of hacking,.

ip ban is worthless, most home connection have dinamic ip address and this mean that if you switch of the router you actually get a new one.
Mac ban is technically impossible, when an ip packet pass through a router the source mac address is changed so you won’t actually see the pc mac address (for dummy explanation).
the only way the could have to perma ban is to use nasty litle softwares that read a lot of info on your computer like hardware id and so but nobody really wants that.
if a bot can afford to lose the account a ìnd buy again the war is lost, only way is to be quick enought banning not to be worth anymore…
But i can bet my kitten that 90% of the accounts are hacked, probably of ppl not playing anymore.
only way of trully fight bots is quick ban and mandatory RSA based autentication at every log in, (like the one you can chose to have right now).

two weeks release are quite too short but is fine if it was like b4 so you can do most of achivements in the inteded 2 weeks and finish the remaining during the next two if you wished.
last clockwork chaos update was really too much specially with that gauntlet-time consuming-thing around.

As Colin said in the interview at PAX, they are cautious in opening new zone and leavin too much permanent content, as well as dungon hard modes because that would split the comunity too much.

this game is soo big (wvw, spvp, pve, dungeon, fractals, living story) that the risk is high.
they keeep putting in temporary stuff in low level zones to bring end game dudes there to give a sense of vitality to new players.
And kinda agree with them, is though to understand, would be nice t have a new zone every month bu u’ll agre that it that means waiting more to find ppl for a dungeon, less ppl in wvw and spvp can be bad but we always see the player perspective not the game one.
temporary content has the advantage of attracting most of player together, and as they dd lately ther was always at least two kind of achivements lists to do for two different kind of players.
in last patch we had:
-the pavillion for farmers
-the vorp pottal stuff for lore ppl
-the gauntlet for hardcore ppl
-clockwork chaos for farmers again

the new one as far as now has:
-sab w1-2 for those who wants easy gameplay and who missed w1
—tribulation mode for crazy super mrio addicteds!yai!

and mostluy the same for all the other recent patches.
different AP tabs for different players.

i had my obby shards from sab last time, farmed a bit but hey was funny!
had like 400 of them out of sab + the skins i wanted.
not sure if they are still available as rewards, and sadly will be far les profitable due to account limitations.
I never did the create new toon and delete trick but used all my alts daily.
this saved me tons of karma (had 7kk once), which i blew on boxes but been wise enough to save 2kk in case new rewards comes out.
as i said in another post, karma situation was quite ridiculus, if u were chasing a legendary, was better to get obby shards from orrian boxes than from vendor, because anyway you had to dump all your karma in boxes.
maybe the quite exagerated though!!!

Crafting won’t be the only new way to acquire precursors so no need to rush to crafting people. There will be other ways.

sure no need to rush, and sure you can still MF bazilion of rares to get nothing or grind ur kitten to 800g and increasing.
I do really hope that the precursor will have a scavenger hunt like proposed a while ago and discussed with devs, but something suggests me that won’t be the case.
but hey Anet do not hesitate to prove me wrong!
i actually didn’t start yet to craft over 400, but i will, at least to the point where i can start to stock all the time gated mats, as well as i’ll start back to make the charged quartz thingy.
charged quartz has been a trial for time gated ascended stuff, and i bet my kitten that this would be the model for pres but is all speculation.
Anyway, i just bought off the tp the 100 onyx lodes couple of days ago while thay were at 90s so i won’t have to bother in future, have already gift of mastery and gift of fortune, the twilight gift is almost made but i won’t start making it till i have the pre, just in case new legends are better and i want to change idea lol.
now i’m sitting at 40g or so lol.
In the end not much to do beside the pre so stocking those time gate mats can never be bad!!
if u chasing a legendary, and don’t do fractals no point in making an ascended!.

can also be a calculated change to bring more ppl to wvw.
as i think was the requirement o BoH for legends before AP rewards were introduced.
in wvw karma is a bit easyer to get.
also with scarle invasions, u get plety in no time.

my opinion is that since noone but legendary owners up to now have ascended stats on the weapon, they removed the buff to avoid stupid people to change the build on that pourpose.
or demandin conjured weapons from eles in dungeons and so forth…
imho they will add them back assoon as the minimum period is gone.

c’m on karma is pretty useless after 2 months of playing.
if you are going for a legendary is not karma that you need so desperately.
by the time you get 250 powerful bloods you’ll have enough to make two legends.
let’s not start to talk about precursor.

1kk is prtty resonable to get even now compared to other mats, b4 was plain stupid to buy obby shards directly as you culd get that many from boxes that i have already 200 without a use.

and is a good way to remove a stokpile of gold out of flippers pockets wich is never bad imho.
i really hope they make flipping so risky that will be unprofitable, like let’s say limit number of transaction per day or per week, or double the fee, or whatever.
the t6 dust move was awsome too.
if this wasn’t intentional was the best error they made.
Flipper are the equivalent of market sharks and speculators irl, which caused the econom crash we’re experiencing.
