Don’t forget, the playerbase asked (for a long time) that Armor Sets be removed from the Gem Store. ArenaNet acquiesced.
Actually, I preferred this implementation of the story..so far. Much more enjoyable than the instances.
To each, their own.
If you want the Devs that work on Necromancers to see your ‘suggestions’, it would be prudent to post in the Necromancer sub-forum.
Good luck.
The Devs previously stated that in Living Story Season Two a smaller story would be told each month and wrap up in said month, rather than just one season-long arc. There were monthly releases in Season One, as well, though split into two release offerings.
No idea if we will get bi-weekly releases or quad-weekly, but a smaller story will be told and finished each ‘month’.
I hope they keep the two-week release cadence, much like it was before.
Are you saying there was grinding in GW1? Ack!
I have some weapons in my HoM, but it doesn’t bother me if they appear here in GW2. Seems lots of people have been asking for skins from GW1. So, I guess ArenaNet listened to the playerbase. =)
I am not sure CS will refund for a diminished ego-booster. Unlikely, at best.
It would, god, send me right out of this game.
Sorry, no go (for me).
Except the Western developers don’t dictate how the Chinese Legendaries are acquired, the VIP program, monetization, etc. That would be KZW, and thus those concerns would be best served on the Chinese forums.
It’s possible we would get fewer great QoL updates if the Devs had to always consider how much it would cost in refunds.
The CS Team did give refunds to those who had purchased within the last 30 days.
Sometimes, advances make other things obsolete, and, well, we just have to roll with it.
Sigh. Not this again.
Even the Devs explained what was meant by those phrases you take out of context.
If you are unhappy with the game and its manifesto, don’t feel obligated to purchase any expansions, support the game through Gem purchases, or even play the game.
Good luck.

Geez. People complain that content leaves and they have no chance to ever do it again, and people complain that content comes back and they have to do it again.
For pete’s sake.
No. Absolutely not. For goodness sake, your only choices are to play the current version of Guild Wars 2, play Guild Wars (One), or purchase/play a single-player game and never install any updates.
Perhaps a perusal of the Wiki (link above) would allow you to familiarize yourself more with the game and game terms.
Good luck.
It seems to me that the Achievement Reward chests have something for everyone, no matter where their focus in the game lies….PvE, PvP, WvW.
I can’t see how ArenaNet could personalize the chest to your particular playstyle, so they just put a little something in for everyone, no matter where they play. =)
Oh, and maybe they thought some people would see some rewards from a playstyle different than their own, and think: ‘Cool….maybe I will try that out to get some more of those things!’ Just a thought. =)

ArenaNet, I find the announcements that cater to my desires quite exciting. Keep up the good work! =)
One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. Your perceived ‘disinterest’ is completely subjective. I’m not disinterested, and I’m guessing all those other players I see in-game aren’t that disinterested, either, else why would they be in-game?
I will say I’m looking forward to next week. =)
It may be difficult to fool-proof everything. When interacting with, or purchasing in-game mechanics/products, it is always prudent to consult the Wiki beforehand.
The cost of Name Changes has not risen since launch; only become less since the advent of bundles and any other discounts.
I would advise you consult the Wiki (or the forums) before attempting to change your characters names, especially if you desire to swap them. You may be surprised.
Good luck.
It may be highly possible (anything is possible), but it is also highly improbable.
I wonder how many players wanted another race (or 4-5) in Guild Wars. It was just as highly possible there, as well.
Good luck.
It’s always best to research any substantial purchase beforehand.
Good luck.
It must be frustrating….
Complaints about zones being dead, and complaints about zones being too full.

Um…1000 players buying an Outfit at $8 each is $8,000, not $80,000.
I’m not sure how you are privy to all the development costs and profits made thus far, but if you have any links, I’d be interested in perusing them.
Yes or No? I vote no, for all the reasons given in the countless other threads about dueling.
No to Open World Dueling, for all the reasons posted in the countless other bi-weekly Dueling threads.
I’d like to meet this forum-lurker, Nobody and his/her twin, Everybody. They certainly influence a lot of posters. ; )
I thought the whole blog sounded promising. Nobody and Everybody should probably wait until release before offering their opinions.
Bought GW2 and received no Lv80 Boost
in Account & Technical Support

There is only one free L80 Boost per account. If you purchased HoT, again, for the same account, you might want to contact the CS Team and ask to have the accounts separated.
Good luck.
You can’t seriously be comparing possible loss of life to the updates in a video game. Truly?
You can always wait to purchase Heart of Thorns until after it is ‘complete’. =)
Good luck.
This Beta Portal is a freaking sham....

And if you were not chosen from any of those pools? Would you feel better about RNG, then?
If fate has it that you will not be privy to this particular Beta Test, then what difference the method of chance?
Good luck.
I prefer this model to the once/year (or so) expansion model. So, it’s well worth it to me. =)
Very disappointing chat in your screenshot. I am sorry you have to put up with that.
ArenaNet did tell you beforehand that there was only going to be some dialogue, etc. at the final event. And you do receive an hour-long boon, as well. Not sure what you were expecting from the information they gave us.
‘The Flame and Frost epilogue will be active from Sunday, May 12 at 12:00pm Pacific until the release of the Secret of Southsun on Tuesday May 14. The epilogue will mostly consist of conversations and story elements; there are no exclusive rewards to be given at this time.’

edit: buff, not boon…lol I never get those terms right. =P

It was announced, long, long, long ago. Here’s one announcement from September of 2012: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/mike-obrien-on-account-security/
Your wife will be able to change the email address associated with her game account with the assistance of the CS Team.
Good luck.

Oh! Well, that’s welcome news. I was dreading the increase in spam that has always accompanied Free Trials in the past.
Well done! =)
Or Chris is a fan of Mork and Mindy! Lol.
Edit: Ninja’d. Ha ha.
If you truly want to know people’s opinions on the subject, you could – possibly – peruse one of the many, many former threads on mounts. Good luck. =)
I don’t think that’s how it works.
Not thrilled to hear GW2 core may go F2P. Sigh. Bot/spam incoming, if true. =(
Wasn’t supposed to be by the end of January, but rather after LS Season One concluded.
So, we are still on schedule. =)
There is only one option to show/hide part of an Outfit, and that’s the Helm.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Outfit
Showing/Hiding Shoulders or Gloves is an Armor option only.
I’m afraid this is not a bug. Sorry.
Good luck.
No, not lazy. There’s a fundamental technical restriction on dyeing backpacks, as they are not considered armor. More like weapons.
You can use Google to find the long, technical explanation from the Devs, if you so desire.
Good luck.
I can’t see this going over well.
Quality may be in the eye of the beholder. I would not support paying a mandatory subscription, nor am I convinced a subscription removes all bugs.
All servers in NA use the same data center. Your only other choice is to transfer to an EU server and use the data center in Frankfort, Germany.
Here’s the information you sought: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World#Mechanics_and_terminology
Your ping is fine. You are closer to the data center than the Studio. I’m even closer to the data center, and my ping averages around 80-90.
Good luck.

If you so desire, you can Google for the Dev response to your concern. (It will be here on these forums.)
Good luck.
I do not desire to google through reddit to find out why servers are down. I don’t want support 3rd party troll platform (which reddit is really) because devs refuse to use own forums – it is just really really wrong on many levels.
@Illconceived Was Na.9781: where does my example with season 4 title fits where devs favored reddit crew instead of players who would use official forums? Also, forums were working when login servers were screwed on Wednesday – not a word from devs here but multiple on reddit.
Also, reddit is everything but easy to read. Not to mention the only things you really see is some garbage (hello 1000th post about muffins) supported by common reddit crew. A lot of good ideas or posts simply get downvoted to oblivion or just die before they even get any attention. The format is simply wrong.
On official forums you have sections and structure and threads are visible even if they don’t appeal to roleplaying community.
I don’t use Reddit, so I have no idea what the Devs might be saying there. The post I was referring to, and even specifically stated, is on these forums. You can’t use the search function here, because it is broken; thus, you must use Google.
Also, if you would merely scan the forum Dev Tracker, you would see the posts about the server issues (no need to even use Google for that particular issue).
I’ve seen a fair number of posts on the forums from new players asking about or commenting on the game. But, I can’t say I’ve seen any complaints about the Queensdale Champ Train, except from the more experienced players. Hmmm….
I think it’s a shame, as well. Sigh.
The new forums really hurt my eyes; not sure if I can be as active.
Maybe I will feel better about them once I’ve truly figured them out.
Turn off map/say chat during the event?
Good luck.
I can’t agree that using contractions is ‘kiddy’ or childish. Even the OP uses contractions; it’s how modern English has evolved.
What some may find juvenile, may be just a misunderstanding of ArenaNet humor.
Likely, the use of language is the least of the Stories’ problems.
Good luck.

I’ll say this once again. Perhaps this time forum members who are posting randomly and speculatively will take this opportunity to learn about the subject from a factual standpoint:
We are closing the accounts of RMTers, cheaters, and exploiters in record numbers. On some days, 1,000 accounts are closed. That action prompts the unscrupulous people who sell gold, cheat, exploit, and bot to extend their reach to try to steal accounts. This means they are plumbing “known password” lists, sending more phishing e-mails, logging into accounts to which they had access months ago (due to poor security measures on the part of the user), and generally doing what they can to steal accounts.
This does not point to a vulnerability in the game or the servers, but the exploitation of individual levels of vulnerability being capitalized upon to steal individual accounts.
Add to that the fact that recent in-game events and the new feature build brought back players in high numbers, players who may have stepped away from the game and return to find they were hacked months ago (again, not through vulnerability on our side but through the usual game-thief processes).
From all I’ve been told — confirmed minutes ago — the alleged “big hole” in security to which you refer does not exist. We continue to be ever-diligent on matters of security, and I’ll never say “never” in reference to security. But once again, nothing points to this alleged “hole” except anecdotal evidence that can be explained by the information I provided above.
Desperate times lead to desperate measures, and cheaters, exploiters, botters, and RMTers are indeed desperate.
Block and report.
Good luck.
Skill Challenges are unlocked at Level 13, and Map Icons are unlocked at Level 15.
