I am very unhappy with bringing it back. Ruined the efforts of veteran players like me, because it is much easier to get now and also no longer a symbol of being a veteran pvp player.

And yet players had all or parts of this armor, previously, without ever setting foot in PvP. Gotta love the old Achievement Chests.

My feelings? It does not need to be said over and over again. There’s a reason these things are not in-game.

Has there been any progress on finding and alleviating the odd sound ‘bug’ (the loud, crashing or book-dropping-in-an-empty-room sound), yet? It keeps many of us from being able to use headphones, to our dismay. It is also quite startling, when it happens. Sadly, it does not respond to any audio-volume adjustments, either in-game or out. Thanks for your consideration. =)

Google how to remove HMIPCore64 (and/or MyPrivacyTools) and you should have fewer issues.

No offense meant, but I don’t really understand the purpose of consolidating the sub-forums. I thought the purpose of sub-forums was to facilitate Devs and others being able to quickly and easily find threads/post pertaining to their area of interest/expertise.

Now it sounds like one large jumble of subjects, making it much more difficult to find what you may be looking for. Especially with no Search function. As fast as some sub-forums churn through threads, I foresee many, many duplicates created just to get some ‘face-time’. Meaning much more moderation, and waste of resources.

You should use the in-game reporting tool to report those that threaten to report you, should you desire to report them.

Otherwise, just block the individual. The CS Team will not suspend/ban your account if you did nothing wrong, but could action a player’s account for false reporting.

Sometimes, an account that needs a character’s name changed will temporarily show as suspended, but after a short period of time, can be accessed to change the name in question. You might try logging in, periodically, to see if this is the case for you.

All you need do is remove another item from the Guild Vault. Your Karka Shells will appear in inventory. (They aren’t lost, just lagging.)

Changing maps will often make them appear as well, but the easiest thing is just remove another item.

Ahh…thank you for explaining the difference. Though it would be nice if these had a slightly different name or icon, so we would know which ones are level-dependent.

Usually, when an account has such little Gold resources, it isn’t that old. You can always delete your characters, and transfer at no cost, whatsoever. Just put everything non-soul-bound in the bank, and it, and your wallet will transfer with you.

The names of the achievements “Speargun Master” and “Harpoon Master” are misleading. The Speargun achievement is actually referring to Harpoon Gun weapons (sometimes just called Harpoon). The Harpoon achievement refers to Spear weapons.

As far as I know, from reading the requirements, a Forum Specialist is tasked to gather information from the forums about ‘hot topics’ or ‘topics of concern’ and place them in a report to be shown to the Devs, after the Forum Communications Team evaluates said reports.

No requirements about posting on the forums, or providing reports to forum users.

What is it you were expecting from the Forum Specialists, OP?

A bit of advice: Do not use your L80 Boost on your first 2 or 3 characters. Level, at the very least, one character normally in Core Tyria.

They meant, don’t delete the character when said character still has them in inventory. None of the bonuses are soul-bound.

Regardless, the CS Team is pretty darn good about replacing items accidentally deleted that are Gem Store/purchased with cash items.

I see a lot of comments about hype and hyperbole, but I have yet to see a single word released by ArenaNet about anything being announced.

What exactly have they hyped about Pax South? The only thing I’ve seen is an announcement about the Tournament at Pax East. I’d be very interested in reading all this ‘hype’! Please post the links.

Well, Seth just posted you need ‘gliding to reach the entrance to the Guild Hall’, but it was a conversation about already being in the Guild Hall, so I don’t know whether he was referring to inside or out.

You do need Favor to initiate the ‘quest’ for attaining the Guild Hall, so you will need to do some Guild Missions first. I don’t think you can attain the Guild Hall on the first day (you need too much Favor).

The Heart of Thorns website has information and links to deep dives about many aspects of the expansion. You can likely find more details there.

As has been stated countless times before, it is a successful and oft-used marketing strategy. Likely, if it did not ‘amount to much’, no one would use it.

Move out of L80 maps and explore (or re-explore) the lower level maps to re-familiarize yourself with the game. Or, alternatively, create a new character (of a different Profession) and level it up to L80.

It’s a nice trade, I guess, yeah. But, I certainly miss the excitement of receiving an Unidentified Dye from a loot or gathering drop, and wondering if it will be something exciting I don’t already have. Most of the time it was an Uncommon Dye I had, but the chance, the chance just to get a dye, and then the chance of identifying it for something cool….that’s what is missing.

I know we get drops, and can open chests…but, it’s not the same….to me.

Surely, you have picked up some pointers in the 4 months you’ve been playing. You have maxed out gear and are L80, according to one of your other threads on this page.

Maybe, you might consider leveling another character and studying the level-up information provided, once again.

To access any of your Outfits/Costumes/Town Clothes, take each of your characters to the city of your choice and speak to the Black Lion Trader (Armorsmith).

To access your miniatures, you will find them at the bottom of Materials (the little squares icon) in your bank. Once withdrawn from the bank, they can not be re-deposited. Once added to your Wardrobe, they become Account-bound, and can no longer be sold.

The reason you can see more pro-dueling threads is that those anti-dueling don’t create threads. If everyone who was against Open-World dueling created a thread, I don’t think your premise would hold much weight.

People don’t create threads much asking for features that are already in the game. Lol.

And you will not reap the rewards, as it should be. These are Guild Wars Vets rewards, and like the Celebration Hat, etc., should only be attainable by completing the reward requirements.

If ‘family and friends’ are unwilling to enter a map with any character once having been there, they won’t find much on offer in GW2/HoT. It’s not that kind of game, where you ‘complete’ the content by visiting it once, truly.

I think the new player has more problems than leveling a character, if the ‘friends and family’ aren’t willing to share/help them level.

Yes…I miss the ‘Round-up’ articles in the old Blog, as well. A central clearing-house for information would be much appreciated.

In case anyone missed this updated feature from the last patch:

Off-hand weapons now go in your bags beside your main-hand weapon when swapping to a two-handed weapon.

May be helpful for some.

I used to log-in every day, and complete my Dailies, if nothing else.
