Yup pretty much this, did 3 bosses in Orr last night, nothing of any use or worth dropped from anywhere and the chests were just rubbish. Nothing at all worth over 1 silver, and nothing of any use to my class.

It’s just a waste of time, and it took 2 or 3 hours to do, I don’t know what the problem is with giving us decent rewards for putting in some effort, I’m not saying it wasn’t fun, it was, but what a disappointment to get nothing.

Players will just quit, and once they’re gone it will be difficult for Anet to get them back.

The games been a struggle all the way through to get anything half decent, there are weapons and armour I would like, but it’s an insane mindless grind to get them, and there’s no other way to get them but to grind for 100’s of hours, the same thing over and over.

Sometimes I like to farm, or grind, whatever you want to call it.

Sometimes I just like to do mind numbing things, and I can enjoy it.

Sometimes I like to just stay in an area and kill stuff over and over.

Sometimes I just want to play how I want to play.

And we get this…….

No I don’t feel like a level 80, all the effort to get to 80, the weapons the gear, and for what.

I am still as likely to die in a lower level area, I am still likely to die because I pull too many mobs (thats 2 or more), I don’t get any level 80 rewards, and the rewards in lower level area’s are terrible.

And who want’s to struggle to stay alive in a lower level area, it’s just rubbish.

Yes we should be able to glide everywhere.

Actually culling (of players) is pretty much everywhere.

Run into the bank or BLT in LA and see how many people render when you get there, but it looked empty as you ran through the door.

Test it a Rally WP (Straits of Devastation) walk backwards from somebody stood still, see the point they disappear (Actually not very far, 10-15 metres) then run back to them, quite often they won’t render untill your right next to them.

Now we have this culling issue fixed in WvW lets have it fixed in PvE, lets see the people around us, and the world as it should be.

This is a bug that keeps popping up even though we keep fixing it. I’m trying to reproduce it with the small inventory and I’m not succeeding, is there anything else you can tell me? Are you changing zones a lot, are you selling thing from there, salvaging frequently? Any info you can give me will help me track this down (again).

When I log in, I have to stretch my inventory window so that I see all my stuff, it stays like that until I log out.

Then I have to do it again next time I log in.

I’ve been reporting the same 3 bots for over 6 weeks now, and they are still in the same place botting away 24/7 they are in my friends list so l know. (Maybe they disbanded the bot team).

I’ve farmed in the same place, good drops, fast respawns, they sure know how to pick a good place, I wouldn’t stay too long though, other players will report you by mistake.

A few thing’s would cause me to quit…….

(In no particular order).

1. The Ranger long bow/short bow.
2. The Ranger pet.
3. The trading post “Error attempting to sell” issue.
4. The endless nerfs to classes and rewards. (DR and RNG).
5. The endless grind for stuff I’m never going to actually get.
6. A good game with a proper Ranger.

There’s probably a few more thing’s I can’t think of right now.

Hi, so I started experiencing crashes in the new HoT maps and my friend told me to go download the 64bit client. And as I went to read about how to install and everything… It said I shouldn’t have to download the whole game again, just the client update. But after multiple tries I keep ending up having to download the whole game…

Anything I’m doing wrong?

I copied the file in my Gw2 folder, opened it there, created a shortcut and boom, the 341338 files remaining show up..

There should be 2 maybe 3 files in your Gw2 directory (There will be more if your just copying the 64bit client into your existing directory)…. (The directory can be anywhere on your H/D or a second H/D and can be called anything you like if your making a new directory).
Gw2.exe (Not essential).
Gw2-64.exe (Required).
Gw2.dat (Required).
Plus other files and a couple of directories. (If your using your original GW2 directory)

There will be a small update the first time you run the 64bit client. (There will be more files and a couple more directories in the GW2 directory after patching)

Make sure you ARE running the 64bit client, and make SURE the Gw2.dat file is in the same directory. (If the Gw2.dat file is not in the same directory it will download the whole game again).

Run the game directly from the Gw2-64.exe file. (Right click and open or double left click).

Then drag a short cut (Right click on the client and drag) onto your desktop or start menu when you know it runs OK.
You can rename the Gw2.exe to Gw2.bak (Or delete it) to make sure you can’t run it by mistake.

You can then rename your Gw2-64.exe client Gw2.exe if you wish to.

If you rename your 64bit client, make sure your shortcut reflects that and points to the correct place.

Yeah problems are, warriors can use longbows, thieves can use shortbows, no other class can use both types of bow.

I can’t stand the stupid pets either, I wanted to play a Ranger, not a Beastmaster.

But no, we have to have what ArenaNet see as a Ranger, forced to use the mainly useless pet, a pet that is a total liability, a pet that they will never be able to fix.

Ranger GW1, Ranger since and including beta GW2, now they come up with this rubbish.

Lots of people will say their server is busy, heaving with people, no trouble getting a party or doing events and DE’s.

Yeah, I’m not particularly a role player but emotes are very limited, and sitting would be a nice option.

One I liked in GW1 was “bored” (Female Ranger).

I don’t like WP costs, I don’t see why we need them.

We have a WP cost and an armour repair cost when we die.

We have a “tax” when we buy or sell anything.

The rewards for many events are abysmal.

Seems like ArenaNet will do anything to “steer” us towards buying gold from the TP.

GW1 didn’t need this sort of rubbish, it’s a game, it’s “virtual” money.

We shouldn’t have to be “encouraged” to walk through area’s we have already walked through.

People should be encouraged to travel about, help people, be social, something this game is seriousely lacking in.

Taxes, keep them for the real world, and we all love paying out taxes and VAT don’t we !

I don’t particulary enjoy WvW with my Ranger, I do it, it’s ok sometimes, but I feel pretty useless really.

The damage is lacklustre, the pet is worse than useless, the bows are “meh”.

I don’t think a commander title should be bought, it should be earned.

Commander tag has no place in pve, period. This is why i think commander tags should be earned with wvw leveling and progressing instead flat out 100g. Every cofp1 freak can buy commander tag, many did for sake of ego boost, while not even stepping into wvw.

Now same people are using those tags to rally farm zergs, which i doubt was intended purpouse of commander tag. Any pve coordination (like there is need for coordination in pve lol) can be done with use of chat, ,it is bad enough that there is zillion lousy commanders running in wvw with their tags undeserved, now there is bunch of them in pve too. This needs to be changed!

This guy sums up how I see commander tags, totally pointless in PVE, and what do they mean anyway, you can just buy them, in fact I could by a commander tag.

I think it’s a terrible idea, it just gives you an excuse to exclude individual players from your party, just because they may not be quite a “good” as you.

Everybody should get a chance to do dungeons no matter how bad they might be.

Yeah wonderful, lets see, the pets dead as a doorstop before it gets there, limps back, wait for pet swap cooldown, because even if the pet recovers to 85% health it still ain’t gonna do anything.

No it’s just wrong, we have enough to do without trying to micro manage a dead pet, and we’ve had all the send the pet in call it back rubbish before, it just don’t work, the pet is trash.

Bump. I’m not colorblind and some of the stuff in game is STILL hard to see, especially the faint-white outlines and the dull-red ones.

I’m not colourblind either, but find, in particular, ground targeting hard to see when there’s a few inches of water, it’s just impossible to see where you are targeting.

So I think there should be some options that would help colourblind people and maybe some of the rest of us as well.

It is possible i have a friend who plays guildwars 2 with a controller. He uses a program called Xpadder. he did enounter one problem. He cant move the camera because it requires you to hold the mouse 2 button down and move the mouse to change the camera. If you figure it out please let us xpadders know.

I use xpadder and really thats not a problem, you can hold mouse button L or R and have the mouse movement on one xpadder stick or paddle whatever you want.

And I find the controller much more comfortable than the KB, and I can sit back in my comfy chair not huddled over the KB.

I agree, having a pet its cool, but sometimes you just wish to be by your own.
I think the option of having or not a pet is the best way to go, apart from that the pet system is great.

Yeap l have to agree fully with this, please put my pet out of it’s misery.

If it’s dead (Which is most of the time), it should fall over dead, not agro and drag mobs to me as it limps back.

If it does manage to recover to even 80%, it just stands there doing nothing, or at other times it’s way back attacking mobs I passed 5 minutes ago.

I always play a Ranger, I only play a Ranger, I don’t want to play a beastmaster, l don’t want to micro manage my “pet” thing.

Please give us the choice, as it looks like you will never get the pet to perform properly, and we should’nt be forced into using the thing.

Excuse me, we paid the same money for the expansion.

Only to be excluded and prevented from experiencing some of the content.

It should be possible for all players to experience all of the content, no matter how good or bad they are, that’s why some content, such as raids should have a difficulty level, with reduced rewards.

So everybody who wishes to, can start at a low level and work their way up.

Think yourself luck, I think gold buyers should be banned forever for a first offence.

Yeah going to miss this one as well, if I wanted that sort of game I’d play “Leisure Suit Larry”.
Thought this was an MMO, not a version of Super Mario.
