Ya its TOTALLY FAIR. The ele have access to attunement so they don’t have access to a secondary weapons set. The engie have access to kits so they don’t have access to a secondary weapons. That is balance. If they wanted to give 2 weapons to an Element, then attunement would not exist. Now you can say that that most of the 20 skills are not that good and you would be right. Some of these skills need a bit of modification. But overall elementalist shouldn’t have access to a secondary weapons set. But anyway, that wasn’t the argument in the first place. We were talking about out of combat switching and it get back to my point. I aggree with you guys. I’m just saying, lets try to build a global system for easy weapons switching while out of combat because right now the inventory management is really bad. But that’s a global issue with all the professions not Ele and Engie specifically. In fact (but that’s only for me personnally, its not a argument) I switch weapons from my inventory for most of my professions, but almost never for my Ele or Engie.
I wonder if the naysayers play eles/engies? ..and play them often. the 20skills isn’t really a good reason against this, as we use multiple weapons anyway, I switch when ooc quite alot. so I’m still memorising and using all those different skills, what we’re asking would save the hassle of dealing with the inventory.
Engineer was my first profession. During the first 3-4 months of the game i played almost exclusively on my engie on which I completed my storyline, did all the dungeon. After my guardian became my main in PvE, i still continue to play only Engineer in WvW and sPvP for about a year. Ele was my third character and I played it a long time only a few times per week. But for the last 6 months its my main for dungeon running.
How exactly will adding 1 more slot to weapons and adding more options for weapons for engineers going to be an issue with balance? Because aside from the balance team having to work a bit more to ensure that it plays properly in PVP I see absolutely 0 arguments that are factual that would make it possible for Engineers or Eles to faceroll oponents just from adding these options.
I do however see a whole bunch of warrior/guardians/thieves suddenly concerned that doing this just might give engineers/eles enough diversity skills that would allow us to finally be on par with what those three classes take for granted.
apart from that,
what we’re asking for is out of combat switching, something we’re doing anyway, we just would like it to be a little easier. Is that so “out of balance”?

Suggestion 2:
Add a fourth color force to the WvW for non-participating observers. Call it the white force. They are present in the WvW areas but cannot attack or be attacked by other players. This allows players to experience the area without being forced into “fight or flight” tactics.Just my opinions.

Still sucks to have to map, 3 WvW maps, that are EXACTLY the same. But hey, at least we could avoid all the WvW shenanigans. We wouldn’t be able to aid or harm other WvW’ers.

How is this bad? Levelling is so fast in this game that you can easily get to 80 and not have a clue.
The problem is that, with this trait system.. you’re going to get to lv80 and know even less about your class!
Really? This is not that hard at all if you actually practice it. Considering that majority of the game’s content is easy, harder JPs & diving goggles like these are a fresh change of pace.
tbh, what’s annoying isn’t dying.
It’s that the wp’s are far from the puzzle, requiring you to travel through the map to get back.
That’s just annoying.

As I understand it, Chinese players will be able to buy precursors and legendaries from the the gem shop in the GW2 China release. So, there’s your solution.
I’d rather keep the pay to win to a minimum in the NA/EU region.
It’s hardly p2w, considering legendaries aren’t much better stat wise. (they do have the stat swapping though.) Maybe just pre’s on the gem store. So people still have to make it.
The fact is, the current implementation of getting pre’s kittenes off ALOT of players. And means the majority of players have no hope of getting a pre. (And also alot of players dislike the whole luck factor and want something more challenging.)
But, anet knows all this.
They’re either working on something, or couldn’t care less. Only time will tell.

NO NO NO… Nobody should ever be kicked from the dungeon just because the party leader (or anybody else) gets kicked.
I am not sure why a few people on the forums keep asking for this as a remaining “feature”…. Nobody should ever be kicked out of the dungeon if someone is kicked – end of story.
That gives dungeon leaders WAY too much power. If the leader is vote kicked, leader should transfer as normal.
So, even dungeon sellers? Those who legitely ran a dungeon solo and sell the places at the end. (something anet allows.) Should be allowed to be kicked?
This is the problem, if anet changes the dungeon ownership without fixing kick abuse.

yes, as many posts have said they are locked til lv15. Because it’s “too confusing” for new players.
I mean I remember not being able to beat them at low level, but I just assumed thats because you were meant to do it with others. And so, I asked for others to help.

It is very, very unlikely that all overflows were full. Unless you were there 10 minutes before the event finished…
If you are all there in time, there is no way that overflows would be full so fast. That’s how overflow maps work. So yeah… pay attention next time.I went through the portal at the same time as my girlfriend. Immediately when we loaded, I tried to join on her. Full. Then she tried to join on me. Full.
The overflows were filling within 10-15 seconds of creation, as best as I can tell.

Look, you’re playing with a lot of other actual people, who have actual lives. Stuff happens. I will never just lie dead for the reason of not wanting to spend 2s to waypoint, but for one instance, I was playing along yesterday and came across the Fire Shaman world boss event completely by chance. I started the event, then I had an unexpected knock at the door. I had no time to exit the game. Luckily, I was in a spot where I was ok, but I fully expected I’d be dead on return.
All I’m saying is that we have ANet punishing us enough for every little tiny thing. Surely this is not game breaking. I am quite sure, actually, that this relates specifically to GRENTH, where it’s a long hike back if you WP. Maybe ANet should put a WP closer to the thing. If they did, I guarantee that would take care of 80% of the problem. The other 20% will just be kittens no matter what you do.

This drops your armour by half but gives you 10% extra magic find. Cannot be activated in parties unless everyone uses the switch. So as not to hold back other players in dungeons etc.

They’ve only recently re-vamped the hero panel. I’m sure saving specs is being worked on.
When you say “years”, the game is only reaching the 2 year mark. That’s still very early for the game. Not saving specs, though annoying, doesn’t ruin the game for me.
Some devs reply, most don’t, because it’s better they don’t. And that’s fine. I don’t need dev response to know that they are reading, and they do work on bugs. Just some are easier to fix than others.
Anyway all this has been said before.
I support when I can, because I really like this game. I like the LS, and how it’s progressing. I like the style. I have fun, and I’ve spent alot of time in this game. Idk how many console games I’d have to go through to spend the same amount of time.
The one problem with this is money. Buying one permanent tool for each character gives more money to Anet. Having all characters only needing one of each between them is a considerable loss of profit. I too would love to have every toon share permanent gathering tools but it’s just not a logical move for the company to make.
The thing is, how many people buy 1 for each char?
over how many people WOULD buy it, if it was on all chars?
I have 2 Frost Wasps, I vow to never do that again. I have too many characters, and it’s far far too annoyed.
I’d be willing to pay 1500gems per unlimeted tool, or 500 gems to upgrade old tools into the achievement or something.
I’d also be ok if anet made it cheaper.
ie, bought one 1000gems, next one is 900gems (of the same type only), next 800gems and so on, until free…(I’d probably never reach the free option, but this is ok, still expensive, but ok.)
It would also play on what you’re saying, 1 perm tool per character, It would encourage that.

Of course not, that would make the entire concept of legendary weapons obsolete. Not to mention kitten off every single player that has spent countless hours farming T6 materials and other resources. Crafting a legendary is SUPPOSED to be the grindiest, most ridiculous thing in game, to give people something to do.
Took me almost two years (I just crafted mine two days ago).
Umm, they’d STILL have to go after all those mats, including all the crafting for the ascended, you realise the thread is making ascended = precursors NOT make ascended=ledgendary.

Good try but…….Wrong. I’m pretty much a 90% PvE player along with most of my guild. It would be fun to duel with friends while waiting for dungeon spots to fill.
Again, if you’re taking dueling that seriously then you need to take a break from gaming in general. Just because you lose to someone in an imaginary game your feelings should not be hurt. Maybe take up farmville or something similar?

about anet creating a new “mist” section, with a random pve map, the mist version will be exactly the same as the pve map, cept people can duel.It will be out of pve’rs but will still be an “openworld” map.
Due to server issues or whatever, it will be one random pve (mist) map, that will change per week.
It should not be based on WvW colours or current servers you’re up against, but allow anyone to enter this map & to fight another.

Dueling doesn’t affect you, you someone harasses you ignore/report them. That is why the feature is available to you incase you get harassed. If dueling frightens you that much then a simple fix would be ignoring them?

Because I personally LOVE this change. I’ve had FAR more dungeon runs end because the dungeon “owner” DCed or rage quit (more than I can count) than end because I was kick scammed (never… and I main a ranger).
His fix would not affect your play.
The instance SHOULD change ownership is the opener goes offline for 5 min, or leaves the party.
however if kicked, the instance should dissolve.
This would keep the protection we need, but also save a dungeon should the opener leave. Win-win for everyone.

Personally I dislike it. But a freind of mine recently bought the arah paths,…. each to their own.
What I think though, is that maybe they should have a separate lfg tab. (if anet is going to allow it an all.)
It’s very annoying when you’re looking to pug the dungeon and all you see is group after group, selling the path. It makes it harder to see a legit group. A seperate tab may also lessen the hate as the only people who should click on it are ones who want to buy the path.
I don’t think its unfair to those who have paid. They had the upgrade long before, with all of their benefits (uhm… not mutch, really…).
We could call the 50% discounts w/Better accounts unfair as well, but it is how merchandising works, could complain why my preorder (pre-purchase wasn’t available here) doesn’t worth some plus, when it’s about loyality that should rewarded same kindly as anyone who enters now gets.

The megaserver changes are being rolled out from the lowest level zones to the highest, so it is quite possible you are just above the level where the roll out is at this point.

these dailies take longer and often push more people outside of what they’d normally do. choice is never bad. Lack of it hurts alot of people without much time and who only want to do 5 of the dailies,while also actually having fun.
I think there should be a rule where if you don’t beat her within 100 tries, you’re blocked from attempting further. That would be incentive to learn the mechanics.

I read about liadri before attempting her. Tried her several times and went to read somemore. talked to people who beat.
I know the mechanics. at 70 tries I myself have had enough..but to limit people and assume they dont know the mechanics? Some people arent able for this content.
I doubt many people who beat her have disabilities … (that would affect game play). though I dont expect anet to nerf this just because of my struggles. I simply have to accept I cant do what others can.
Though I’m seriously annoyed with people saying they beat her “in only a few tries” and “getting to phase 2 is easy”.

Except in Diablo 3 when they had auction house, I’ve never seen a game where players were OK with being farmed by the luckiest.
I suppose people who are selling pre’s for CRAZY ammounts of gold, think it’s great and so don’t want to admit it’s a problem.
Also people who forked over that gold will be annoyed when(if) anet brings in an alternative method acquisition.

I main a Necro and I’d say they should change it to match the adrenaline change to be fair.
Necros already completely demolish warriors and should never ever lose a fight to them. Now, warriors will be easier to steam roll.

They know whats going on, it’s not a bug, and there’s actually not much they can actually do about it. Because it’s outside servers, not their own code.
It really hurts new players and alts. What ever happened to not forcing players to play a certain way?
How exactly are you being forced when you have two options? Having options is the opposite of being forced.
charging sp is hardly a choice for new players.
Being forced “find them in group/WvW content” or pay for them, is not really choice.
I actually agree, I have even stopped opening the “unidentified” dyes, because of this. It’s just too annoying to have a dye for one character but not for others.
I dont know if it’s even possible now with their core code. :/

I’d rather they added a mystic forge recipe) with some kind of quest to give you an item, that you combine with armour and 2 other items, the armour that comes out is the same you put in but with stat swapping.

It’s also there to create a “need to buy NOW”. feeling.
