Factions is the solution for the worst WvW problem: coverage wars. It can’t come soon enough.

If you want to see the collapse of the entire game, then sure.

I’m already watching the game collapse. That’s what puzzles me about the people trying to stand by server pride. Server after server collapsing, people jumping from server to server to stack them, and most matchups being a complete blowout. Yet server pride > the overall WvW health. Let’s continue with server pride though, it’s done a real bang up job so far!

Lol yeah that server pride excuse didn’t make sense when it was brought up in the CDI either, it’s pretty obvious by the way people jump ship for rewards that people generally don’t care about server pride as much as they try and act like they do. And the best part of any community is that you can rebuild or it can adapt to new members, it just takes time.

If they were to merge some servers today two months from now after the whining died down everything would be fine.

Why couldn’t you tell us that earlier?

What I mean by that is why wait more than a week after the patch hit to tell us. I can understand not saying anything before the 18th now so you can avoid a influx of last minute pves

- Ronan a human Soldier discovered a seed in a cave guarded by plant monster. He bring it to his home destroyed by the Mursaat 250 years ago. They both influenced the growing Pale Tree with Human and Centaur philosophy until the Pale Tree began to grow Sylvari.
- In GW2 we Capture the Sylvari Malyck and we bring him to a Sylvari Seer that say that he’s not born from the Pale Tree, but another tree. This Malyck is from the Nightmare Court. He claim to have no knowledge of the ’’Dream’’ and Traherne think that maybe the second tree have no dream.
- The Nightmare court is a group of Sylvari that reject the Ventari Table (AKA the Human/Centaur philosophy that Ronan and Ventari gave to the Pale Tree).

For me its all clear that these seed that Ronan found was the to create an army of Sylvari, an army of Modremoth minions. The only reasons, why some sylvari are not minions of the dragon right now is because of the Dream. The Pale tree was corrupt by the teaching of Ronan and Ventari and the Pale Tree decide to protect her children from the influence of the Dragon. The nightmare court mission is to remove the protection of the Dream so that all Sylvari fall under the influence of the Dragon.

I repeat: Why is Malyck not espousing the joys of Mordremoth when we meet him?

Maybe because the dragon was asleep when you met him. Only time will tell whats happens now.

I play the thief exclusively in dungeons. I have been kicked once because the group wanted a “berserk only” party. Whatever that action amounts to is insignificant compared to the utility a thief can provide.

I run this in dungeons:

D/D (one dagger has superior sigil of corruption (condi damage on kill))
Superior Rune of the Antitoxin (-24% condi duration, +183 condi damage, might (x6) on poison or torment)
Apocethary armor (healing, +condi, +third attribute)
Signet of malice (works very well with death blossom)
Caltrops (good aoe bleed and cripple)
Signet of Infiltration (for init regen)
Blinding powder
Dagger storm

Traits are 0/0/25/30/15
Some of the traits are “assassins reward” (heal on init use), caltrops on roll, lose conditions while in stealth, ..

So the utility I bring to a party is superior bleed application (with death blossom), caltrops, and caltrops on dodge. I can also grant regen to allies using blinding powder (which also acts as a cover for a quick ress). Dagger storm is a great skill to block ranged attacks and give the team cover.

Don’t underestimate us.

I have to say i like these descriptions lmao. I honestly think kaining still has the numbers to blow the rest of us away in bronze but that remains to be seen.

We (SF) haven’t played HoD recently so im not sure how they are looking anymore but I feel like SF and FC will be the biggest contenders with a nod to ET as well.

The problem is the timer and the fact that without a elite squad you wont be beating him in that extremely limited time.

Why did you remove jewels from amulets? It gives less customation and I highly doubt anyone was confused about them.

When i come back im so transferring to a higher tier. Im not suffering on a lower tier for another season if im around to play. I was a hardcore wvw player until the seasons happened and now I cant care to log in.

I really liked the instance a lot too. The enemies actually using skills and the mission itself reminded me of gw1. I can’t say I liked the non instanced stuff.

that is FC’s strength. our wvw population may be small but we go 24/7

IMO, your WvW population isn’t that small for bronze lol. You definitely outnumber what I consider to be the bottom 3 servers (AR, DR, ET), and you’re perhaps only slightly outnumbered by GoM from my point of view. Most of the time it’s really even between the two of you. I won’t comment on Dh though as I’m obviously biased.

bronze is small by definition. HoD is very noticeably larger but still much smaller than any silver server except NSP/IoJ.

I bet NSP/HoD/IoJ right now would be an incredibly close match.

SF was actually huge in our last matchup as well, they dominated both us and ET about as much as HoD dominated you guys. Those two may make a good match as well.

I hope it will be a good match up of the three first place servers!

Whoever mentioned alliances is a smart man and we should discuss how that would work more.

Should the alliances be the merger of lower tier servers together say SF+FC+ET into one super server of sexyness?

or should it be a lower tier + middle tier+ plus upper tier server ?

Anet could set the transfer price based on how the alliance does and not on pve population.

The alliance members could shift over time, whether with a vote or with the devs help. Opens up the door to play with friends on other servers and GvG if your in to that.

Stop whining and acting like ANET is showing favoritism to pvp when the finally bring pvp rewards up to an acceptable level.

You only need to rerun story mode if you plan on unlocking that dungeon reward track through pvp permanently. They are not forcing you to rerun story mde if you want to unlock dungeon gear through pve so that is still an option.

I actually don’t understand what your complaining abut really. If you were interested in getting skins through pvp you would of had them already.

It’s not my place to be giving design reasoning behind changes so I can try to get one of the guys to give a statement on this but the way I see it is that this change helps lessen the gap we have in player skill level. It’s an awesome quality of life improvement to team coordination and it’s going to help matches remain more competitive across the board. Team’s using voice comms will still have an upper advantage but I think that reducing the amount mal-rotations happening is a positive change.

I gave PvP a nice little shout out in the official SF recruitment thread if thats ok with you.

No responses from anet in over 24 hours. The only responses we got are from Allie who in the grand scheme of things is unimportant (no offense and all) since she isnt the one thats going to be making the changes nor is she one of the designers of the class.

Would love for someone else who can actually answer some of the questions we have about the direction of the class since unfortunately Allie isnt in a position to do so since that isnt her job.

it would be cool if the alliances had a mutual ground (map) within each alliance where everyone in the alliance could meet up to plan strategy, train, give advice and hold events and stuff. Like the mists for spvp, a common lobby.

GoM shot itself in the foot, despite warning; we proceeded to try-hard and thus we went up in rank, and thus we felt into a 800 gem category, which nobody would pay 800 gems to go to an already low server. Regardless, the WvW community has restarted to rebuild, we have a [not so recent] return and transfers of new guilds, some of them small but organized. Right now we are just looking for coverag since we are all aware that it is night coverage what wins games.

We don’t tank, even if it means passing on an opportunity for free transfers. There’s plenty of servers in need and trying to skirt the system just wrecks things for everyone.

Wagons stop and break once it hit a wall… I expect HoD and DR to be teared apart at some point after the leagues…

Couldnt you combine 3 servers each into like a “super server” (alliance) that would help solve population problems if you combined them smartly (No combining all T1 into one server).

Say ET + DB+ JQ or AR+YB+TC ( I just threw some random servers in, idk their current strengths, i left the game in December.)

It would also allow the Alliances to still have a sense of community (Not at first after it happens of course, but over time most people would get used to each other and get to know each other). a lot of people would complain for the sake of complaining at first.

So it would be A vs A Which would really be the 3 servers that make up each alliance vs the 3 other servers. ( This solves variety problems and allows for alliance pride, got EOTM for overflows).

24 servers / 3 = 8 alliances = AvA
You could make one of the borderlands neutral for either side to try and claim at reset.

Of course you would have to change somethings around map wise (third side in EB, maybe make it neutral too) and maybe introduce another map.

Each match would last 12 or 24 hours.

It would be a lot of work so I dont see it all happening.
