if you want a quick fix for the skill lag however you are welcome to transfer to a bronze league server they don’t have it.

Bronze servers have had tons of skill lag since the leagues started. Get your facts straight.

Down state is stupid in pvp, when some dies they should be dead unless your teammate has a res signet.

Epic origin story:

NASA calls us to launch their rockets with our Orichalcum coated muscles. We are what keeps earth in orbit, not gravity. We have a lot of heart. No one is more important than the other and everyone paid to play the game so they all deserve a fair chance to play WvW. I understand where many of you are coming from with these threads on how to change the queues, but they need to stop. Almost every thread with an idea wouldn’t work and Anet wouldn’t support it.

A queue should simply act like a queue and thats it.

No such thing as exploits in PvP, we know that from experience now.

Yeah a trap that boosts player skill would be nice for some of you so you could stop complain about stealth.

I think the problem is your trying to play Guild Wars 2 as WoW or some other MMO instead of changing your mindset and playing gw2 as gw2.

Yup the free transfers haven’t really been kind to us on SF, FC,DH since we are in an awkward spot of having more people than t8 and yet still being low pop servers. Wish they didn’t make 13-15 free transfers at least. Why pay to go to a rank 16-19 server when you can stack on rank 13 or 20.

You guys definitely need to take a nice look at Rangers skills and its trait lines, we have some pretty useless traits. Some of theives Traits could use another look at.

Reports merely gets the moderator’s attention. The moderators decide if you broke the rules. If you don’t break the rules, people can report you all they want, and nothing will happen.

Sometimes, people get infracted without any reports.
Sometimes, posts get deleted after only one report.
Sometimes, posts get reported constantly, with no consequence to the poster because they did not break the rules.
Sometimes, people report someone else, and end up getting infracted themselves because their own post broke the rules.

Infractions are because of rule breaking, not because of reports.

We all know how moderation really works around here, no need to white knight.

The Ranger isn’t expected to do burst damage. By sustained, we mean that the Ranger should excel at surviving (resilient) through burst while still doing enough damage over time to take the opponent down.

Would you (anet) be willing to change that design philosophy around? Because the class you having been designing is not the class a lot of us thought we have been playing.
Are you guys thoroughly against adding burst capability to rangers? Every other class has burst capability so why not ranger? Like someone else mentioned sustained isn’t important outside of pve and even in pve our sustain isn’t good. Ranged Dps is unwanted and uneeded in pve

And really the only way to actually fix pets is to rework and seperate its AI from general monster AI. Also give it aoe protection, boost stats to ascended and give it the pve hp boost in wvw.

Maybe you guys should have called this class a hunter instead of ranger because it doesn’t really resemble the idea of ranger from launch or gw1.

That poison grand master was a direct result of the CDI I can tell you that much.

The read the wind and striders defense were probably made in prompt of those of us asking for more gw1 ranger skills. Only none of us would have wanted them as a grandmaster trait so while they listened they implemented it wrong. Plus it it should be at least 25% chance to block to bbe worth taking and be able to use at ranger.

Put in capes and the people will come. Especially gold trimmed capes for the upper tiers.

Everyone will be jelly and want to know how to get one and if you can only get them through pvp people will come. So they would be good rewards.

Its crazy that they are giving you your own area to GvG and some of you are still managing to find things to complain about.

Devon is right a lot of people who play WvW dont care about GvG so having your own separate area is probably best for everyone.

I realize that many classes have high burst right now, but our intent is to limit power creep as much as possible. Just because the Ranger’s damage is more spread out, doesn’t mean it does less damage than the burst of other classes. Does that make sense?

For example: One class could, in the span of 30 seconds, do 15k damage in say 5-10 seconds, but then their burst skills go on cooldown so they have to wait out the rest of the time before they can try again. A sustained class should be able to do that same amount of damage in that same amount of time, but the damage is more spread out (hence sustained). This can be better in certain situations, and allows for the sustained class to fill a hole in a team comp.

I’m not saying this is a perfect system or that it’s even fully functional in the game, I’m just trying to explain why doing burst shouldn’t necessarily be better than doing sustained damage. It depends on the situation.

We also know that some classes right now are better at burst than others, and those are things that we look to address in balance patches so there isn’t a surplus of any one class.

The way this game is set up in pvp/wvw is that you want to down the opponent quickly as possible, especially so you avoid the chance of them calling in back up. Sustained doesn’t work for that.

Example:
You burst someone down to 30% in 5 seconds skills on cd for 15s, they heal to 60% you finish them off with second burst before they can heal again.

Sustained: you sustain them over 30 seconds they get to like 30% heal to 60% you sustain them and give them enough time to heal again because you took too long and now their buddy is there.

Sustain is a nonfactor outside of pve.

The day that ranger is t3 in pvp and ele and thief is t2 may come my friend, but dec 10th is not that day
