Please reverse the way that the new Dragon Kama is held.
It looks plain silly to hold the kama upside down. While I’ve only tested it with the Thief so far, even with the upside-down dagger animations, the kama doesn’t look right in its current state. It would look just as good if not better right-side up during those animations. And it would look immensely better when simply holding the kama without attacking… which is most of the time.
If anyone else agrees, please say so. Thank you! :-)

But that would require some thoughts from ANet’s side and not just mindless increases of HP, toughness and damage per attack.
You forgot the irritating one-note, knockdown-spam attacks. White Mantle Knights are the most lethal thing in the new content. And there’s a host of HoT mobs that are just punishingly boring.
If ANet can barely get it together to give all their enemy encounters good, variable attacks, there’s not much cause to believe they won’t just make high-damage HP sponges out of everything.
It’s the above that always makes me question these “pve too easy” threads. There’s never any offer as why the authors think so and pretty much never make a recommendation as to what would be acceptable difficulty.
“Enemies die too quickly.” HP pools increase.
“Wah, kill times are too long. Boring!” HP pools come down, toughness goes up. Condition meta spikes and zerk gear loses its worth.
“Wah, condi too strong!”
…Well, what now?
“I’m so special I do everything in naked zerker gear.” Enemies start doing tons of damage and have 25% uptime on evades so you can’t burst them down.
“Wah, I die too much now! These enemies are cheap!” ..Well, that’s what you asked for.

I think i’m doing this right. I mean, the first one is probably more your style…the second i dont know if many will get…
Now, now, Hamfast, you know that cats giving you birds is a sign of affection and warmth. It’s the only way they know to show they think you’re worth keeping alive — they feed you.
It will likely be whichever dragon we kill last, considering every dragon-kill we make only provides more magic to the remaining.
I would think that a dragon with the ability to corrupt life directly would be more dangerous than one that has to use an intermediary medium such as water. Sure we all need water to live but we need to be alive to drink water. I’d put Zhaitan above the DSD.
Water is life. Our bodies are composed of water. Zhaitan can only corrupt dead bodies. Sea Dragon can potentially corrupt the entire ecosystem that life depends on.
Just putting it in perspective. :P
Its obviously that the last dragon that we will fight will be the most dangerous and powerful (how will u feel if the last one is easier than Zhaitan – that will never happen)…. so Zhaitan, Mordremoth and Primordus won’t be. Imo the one that we know less about will be the hidden ace, aka Deep sea dragon. After Primordus we will fight Jormag or Kralkatorrik and after that the one that noone knows anything about (even the devs) …
That trash mob you passed up? Had your precursor drop.
I doubt many purchase Revive Orbs. Most, likely, have many sitting in the bank from chests of various kinds.
As for ‘focusing on single-player content’, I have to say I have no idea what you are referring to.
I’m happy to have the Devs come share ‘details’ and/or ask our opinion on whether to implement something or not.
Keep on doing what you are doing, Devs!
So this lead to that people, who are lazier than me on achievement hunting, still get an edge on me for TWO years, just because the dailies award achievement points.
No. They had an edge on you because they have been playing for two years while you did not. And the current situation lets you ignore that point and makes their 2 years advantage completely irrelevant.
It works both ways. While i do understand why you might want to keep the current situation as is, or downplay daily ap’s even more, you should understand that the other group has an equally strong point as well
Yes, i do agree that a lot of the permanent achievements should be worth more. Especially many of the new ones, which are often ridiculously undervalued. I also think, though, that the daily cap should be removed as well.

Paragraphs. I guess I am old school I use the arrow keys and click, it is what it is.
Not everyone want to jump to wvw and lose meta progression or go to a map merchant and have to wp or run back so many people carry multiples of harvesting tools if they don’t have infinite. So the infinite saves both time and space.
If they did that you wouldn’t have an incentive to buy the infinite ones, then where would we be?
Which is why it won’t happen, it’s contrary to one of anet’s bigger selling gem items.
If they did that you wouldn’t have an incentive to buy the infinite ones, then where would we be?
Excellent.
Now we just need an ‘account pocket’ in the inventory panel where keys and the gemstore consumables go, so we don’t have to carry them around or waste account-wide inventory slots with countless items we hardly ever use and we never miss until that one time we actually needed them but forgot to bring them along, so they only end up accumulating in the bank.
I want to get items from chests that I can’t get easily already.
Unfortunately for folks such as yourself, that’s not what ANet is offering from BL chests. They are offering what you consider to be junk, with an infinitesimal chance of something shiny — they are offering the momentary thrill, not any sort of guaranteed value.
If you want the more valuable stuff, you can get that by converting your gems into gold and buying them directly from the TP; nearly everything that you might get from the chests is available there, at a more economic rate. That’s especially true if you wait for an ANet sale on BL Keys: you will get more gold for your gems and there’s a drop in the market price of stuff that drops from the chests (because people are opening more of them, and competing to sell).
That “junk” is very useful. I use all of it, the boosters, the revive orbs, the repair kits, everything. And what fun would gambling be if you only got jackpots every time? the price of keys would have to skyrocket to equal the jackpot you get, if every BL chest was a ley line skin or something. get outta here with that ish
It is ridiculous that you can get all this useless cheap stuff from the Black Lion Chest. Like crafting bags and transmutation charges and such. I feel sorry for those that buy keys then get crap like this in the chests. At least take out all the bullcrap that is so easy to get in game although mostly useless…. Example….. Transmutation charges , tomes of knowledge, and other junk
Then it wouldn’t be gambling.
“perma achievements should give more AP and dailies shouldn’t give any.”
pretty much sums up the only logical step, which anet have to take now.
Personally I don’t have a problem with dailies giving out AP. But the AP from dailies should never be a majority, not even a plurality of the available AP points. And that is where ANet messed up with dailies. If you missed S1 then by far most of your available AP are only from dailies, which is not ok in the long run. Regular achievements need to give much more AP than they do, and we need to be getting more achievements per release.
Hey, Almighty Dervisher. I have a 1995 Mustang in my garage. Do you have any automotive technical knowledge? I’d like to update it to the 2016 model. Or at least just upgrade its engine.
I don’t need to send a complaint because the game is working fine for me.
Since you obviously don’t want help i’ll leave it at that. Good day sir.I do want help. Unfortunately this amount of help requirement is likely out of your scope.
Actually, you don’t want help. All you are doing is refusing the help from people who more than likely know more than you about this subject based on your comments in this thread. All you want is to argue with people, I hope your thread gets closed because its clear you won’t be satisfied with any answer that people are going to give and you very clearly do not want help.
The question is what was the primary reason that ANet put the cap in place.
There are 3 main reasons:
1. To keep the players who AP hunt from feeling like they had to do every daily out there.
2. Daily achievements aren’t that hard and therefore shouldn’t make up a majority of possible AP.
3. To let new players catch up.
Given that most achievements aren’t that hard, I find it hard to believe that #2 is the primary reason. Given that they do retire AP, #3 is likely not the primary reason either.
So it was likely put in place for #1. Which was a valid reason when it was put in place. But they have since reworked dailies and now #1 is null. You can do 3 of the daily options or all of them and you’ll still get the same amount of AP. And doing 3 of them doesn’t take hours.
So I would have no problem if they removed the cap.
It would help if some core events were changed to be harder or atleast not on a set schedule.
Take SB for example, me and a friend saw Brenda (the beer escort) last night and started talking about how confused the new people would be having to do a pre to start SB.
They’ll NEVER experience Brenda, the old school SB portals, or even simple pleasures like the Queensdale Champ train.
[HaHa] Hazardous Hallucination
Given the number of threads I’ve read this year about mobs and certain activities being too hard? My answer is no. Let’s not go in that direction again.
I had no idea that HoT traumatized so many people. It’s kind of funny…
Would it make any difference if mobs only went into super saiyen mod when they were fighting level 80 players. By super saiyen mode I mean gain access to 1 or 2 new attacks or gain buff that they don’t usually have.
