i’d love for Flesh Golem to look like the GW1 Flesh Golem
it was so much cooler than the current one.
Minions, I wouldn’t expect to see more of.
Things like Spirits, or maybe even Spirit Weapons, I wouldn’t mind seeing.
Definitely , I would love to have minions skins. Regarding having new minions , the only option would be through adding a new 2 handed weapon ( hammer ) that has 4 summoning skills.
Please don’t add a mandatory MM weapon, that’s a really bad idea.
Why not also suggest minion outfits? Wishes for new minions and minion skins have been constant for nearly 4 years. Many of us would pay gems for a little uniqueness.
I think he means some different models. The necro minion models in this game are atrocious.
I want to have some new ones. Maybe more skeleton like or ghostly like?
The classes are built around having specific playstyles, and thematic derived from that.
Necromancers are designed as damage soaker class, rather than a damage avoidance class. That is the playstyle that the class was given.
The problem however is that at higher levels of play avoidance mechanics trump everything else which leaves Necros in the dust.
Totally unpopular opinion here but I am a person with slow reaction times, I am horrible at timing “avoidance mechanics” and Shroud is more comfortable to me.
I’ve had several professions at lvl80 and my Necro has the best survivability by far, because of Shroud (I play PvE and WvW occasionally).
I know many people don’t like the Shroud but you guys have plenty of other professions with “avoidance mechanics”, please leave the Necro alone because I love how easy it is to play (at least for a slow player like me). Sorry for my bad English!
I think if you ask necros, it would be an unanimous “yes” to heals in shroud. For me personally, I’d love to just settle for our own traits & skills healing in shroud. Parasitic Contagion for an example, that trait should by all means heal us in shroud.
I’ve seen posts in the past about how many are disappointed with the way minions look. I have a suggestion! Why not give us new minions in the future that look like the risen( i could care less if it clashes with lore). Risen look pretty kitten if i say so myself..

Also, a redesigned flesh golem to its former glory would be awesome too.
These would be much cooler than are current kittenats, undead turkey and ball of semen. What do you guys think of this idea?(btw this is just a cosmetic discussion, i don’t wanna bring minion AI and viability into it)
50 cap too small. 1,000 horrors.
That doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be GW1
I wish there was a way to reset points. As one with many toons I do rich ore node farming quite a bit, which involves some running. I think I have the right signets unlocked on most of my characters, but for the ones that don’t it’s…irritating. It’s even worse when I see what’s actually unlocked on them.
+1 to a refund system.
So long Treeface.
“…Kormir? I know not of whom you speak.”
I don’t get any of this. There’s no tutorial, no instructions, nothing. Everything in the panel is confusing. What was so wrong with my old build that Anet slapped me with this? Looks like I can’t play anymore! Goodbye!
/agreed
All I want is a button that lets me reset my hero points so I can choose how to spend them myself instead of being forced into a play-style I don’t enjoy.
Very annoyed, honestly. @Anet
Everything about this would be fine! I don’t mind having some skills gated by getting other skills in their category, I don’t mind spending hero points because of how abundant they are, I don’t mind losing out on a lot of traits or things moved to a line they don’t particularly belong in—
What I DO mind is Anet using your hero points to default level up some training specs. (It doesn’t matter if they’re based on what you had equipped! A lot of things, especially traits, have changed and you should be able to choose what you want) Yes, yes, I know, Hero Points are easy to get, you should be able to unlock everyfin you want at 80, etc.
I don’t care.
This was fine for my 80; she had more than enough points to get every line trained completely, as is the case for many people.
The point is two things. A) They took away the ability to get a feel for this new system. Logging on to some things filled out and some things 0 with half of my original skills and new trait lines in place was very… disorienting.
B) Non-80 characters are really kittened over as is, defaulted into training whatever Anet thought they should and really, really messing up play pre-80— which, wow, does matter more than you’d think. (I think people tend to forget that not everyone power levels to 80 and there’s no reason they should be shafted for taking their time. They have as much right to choose what lines and skill they want as anyone else.)
There’s 0 reasons any points should have been spent on anything without the player doing it themselves. 0. You can make any claim you want that it’s an easy fix by waiting to 80 or just unlocking everything at 80, but that does not change the main fact that Anet had no right to fill out whatever training lines they felt like for your character— or any training lines at all, whether it was pre-equipped or not!
Thanks for reading, please don’t do this in the future/or offer some kind of training reset.
I disagree. It’s better that things are more spread out. Less congestion.
Less congestion because after the newness wears off, everyone will be back in the other cities.
Just putting waypoints next to key vendors would work fine, because intra-city waypoint travel is much faster than travel between maps.
Putting things too far apart just makes me wish I had a mount — and I don’t even want mounts in GW2.
Or maybe… just maybe… that’s the plan.

Agreed. Lion’s Arch was more convenient before the new construction. Crafting stations were plentiful and uncrowded, and Postern Ward was the place for me. Having just one crafting area is an obsolete concept.
(Do love the brighter look. Way to use all those exotic pearl weapons we never wanted~)

Agree, I really miss having the bank, TP and regular vendor together… it’s quite spread out now. I even ended up abusing Miyai to sell trash to but unfortunately the lady, for all the shinies that she sells, does not have salvage kits and the like.
I hate to say it, but to me the Asurans got it right and I’ll be moving back to Rats for now.
It’s a nice, open layout, and I really like what they’ve done with the place, but yeah.
Absent the addition or relocation of a couple of well-placed waypoints, I won’t be spending time there because other cities like Divinity’s Reach and Rata Sum are much better choices for basic services.

I’m not angry far from it, but before you go instructing members of the LGBT community to leave the thread because you don’t like what they are saying, maybe you need anger management classes.
Hmm, “Being a mesmer makes it easier.” ?
I wonder if that’s implying she’s covering herself in illusion or something else? Now I’m kinda curious how far Anet thought about taking this; is she just dressing differently to identify as a woman or has there been some kind of alteration?
Maybe it’ll be the next Mesmer spec. :o
i don’t really get it… nothing against the lgbt community, have several friends who are, and legally i think they should have more rights, but why the need to put hot topic issues in a fantasy video game? In a game about unity and fighting dragons just seems like a good way to stirr up controversy and have more religion debates in trade chat and can see otherwise good people who just happen to have a religious belief getting banned just for having a discussion (even if in a polite/friendly manner)
why not put obama or hillary flyers up, or crosses or other religious symbols ingame too? Thought the whole point of a fantasy video game was to escape reality.
bunny trail but… why do voters even care about social issues atm when we are billions or trillions in debt atm in the usa. everything else seems kind of irrelevant in comparison to the giant problem that isn’t going away.
again (just to make it clear and i dont get banned for even posting this lol) i support the agenda, but I don’t get the need for it in a game. let the politicians and preachers fight in real life, ingame i just want to fight dragons and talk in trade chat without debates.
The inclusion of this NPC has zero to do with any “hot topic issue,” unless you believe it is up to you to debate whether transgender people do or don’t exist. And let me tell you, bud, that ain’t up to you! We exist regardless of your opinions on the matter!
Regardless, this NPC has nothing at all to do with any discussion of people’s real world legal rights or other real world issues. It is simply a fact of life that gender variant and gender non-normative people are a part of the real world (and they are not at all a modern or Anglo-European invention either, btw). It should be zero skin off of your nose that an aspect of human diversity be acknowledged as part of a game world. And if you feel that it is some skin off your nose then I think you have to face the fact that that’s nothing but ignorance and prejudice.
I think this is great, and I commend anet for including a trans character in game. Also, for having our character, AND the lionsguard they talk to be so cool with it.
It’s more about being inclusive, and showing support in a subtle way. Anet isn’t pushing it down our throats. They have an NPC with dialogue that indicates that she used to be known as a he. If a player doesn’t like it due to whatever religion they follow in real life, it can be simply ignored. Just like how I don’t like Fractals anymore, so I no longer do them.
Now if a player(s) chooses to focus on this NPC, that’s up to them. Knowing that this character exists doesn’t change the overall MMO experience of killing dragons. Yet a small addition like Sya to the lore of Tyria can mean the world to a player who can relate to her identity/lifestyle.

Being LGBTQ is not a political issue. It is a fact of life. And by your arguments, why have male and female genders in a fantasy game. Or relationships. Or different political factions. Remove any source of conflict between people or differences.
I like that this game has chosen to reflect all of the people who play it, not just some, in their NPCs. It’s inclusive.
You know there are LGBTQ in many many works of fantasy right? Game of Thrones is an immediate one that comes to mind. Even Orson Scott Card (staunch Mormon) chose to include a homosexual in one of his books.
Also… as a dude who happens to be gay, I have no agenda, other than to live my life and to be treated with the same respect all people should be treated with. We don’t hold meetings where we discuss strategy or have some secret plan to convert the world. I think you meant to say, you support equality for all people, not a gay “agenda”.
Please understand – I’m not attacking you, and I’m not angry… I’m just perplexed when I see these points being made. I don’t get it.
Thank you, ANet. I can’t tell you how much this means to me and to my guild.
Yay anet!
This is so great because it’s presented as normal and not OMG LOOK LOOK.
Now let’s see some asexuals too!
Forever known as “that slow guardian who can’t jump worth crap”.
We should mail cookies and other stuff to Anet to thank them for being a wonderful company. I’ve sent them chocolates from Hawaii, and another person sent them a cake. Food makes the Devs work extra hard! Here’s the address:

No that implies that Kasmeer is a transgender too! Rejoice!
That puts the Mini Southsun Kasmeer into a whole new perspective!
(edited by Smooth Penguin.5294)
What an amazing, thoughtful, inclusive thing to do! Thanks Anet!!!!
Even if it’s a Mesmer illusion, that still counts as something. Look at transgender people in real life. They’re living life as the opposite gender, while remaining biologically the gender they were born with. A man who grows his hair long, wears makeup and a dress, is still a man. But he now identifies as a “she”, and can legally (depending on the State) be recognized as female.
If Kasmeer can run around without clothes, only sporting her illusion, then it should be ok for Sya.
Bottom line, even though trolls got my original thread closed, Anet listened and heard my pleas to make my LGBT friends feel more welcome to this game. I’m now going to get more friends into GW2 by sharing this. I know of no other MMO that is so open to homosexual and transgender storylines. Colin and his team has outdone themselves!
