It is not about legendaries. It is 500 craft. I think we will use T6 mats to craft items between 400 and 500.
I agree with Zaxares, and to take it a step further, let us buy vials/glob with high numbers of badges so WVW players have a path to ascended.

Seriously Anet, it’s time to leave the mists and talk to us about your plans on precursor crafting, scavenger hunt or whatever your plans are to make this ridiculous price spiral to stop. The only thing being legendary about a legendary weapon is the precursor, so why don’t you put an end to this? Finally?

New set of questions:
-Will crafted fine and masterwork items have the same chance as looted items to get luck essences?
-Will the level of the fine/masterwork item effect the chance to get luck essences?
-Will the salvage kit level effect the chance to get luck essences?
-Will there be a cap on MF from these essences?
-Will the essences be tradable or will they be bound to you?
Another whole aspect of this change that we don’t know the answers to.
They’re removing magic find as a stat from gear. It didn’t add anything to your offensive capabilities in celestial gear, so there’s no reason to compensate you for it not being there anymore.
The MF was always a nice extra. I’ll keep using the celestial because it’s just a good combat set.

Not everyone who invested in celestial gear did so because of the magic find.
I made my celestial gear as soon as it was possible for me to do so. I got it because I did the math and found that the increases from a straight celestial build (accessories/armor) were far greater than running just rabid. I didn’t lose too much condition damage because I kept my Superior Runes of the Undead but I did take a significant hit to my precision leaving me with only a 43% crit chance. gasp
For me the pros outweigh the cons and even with out magic find I don’t see me ditching the armor. I’m sure there are others out there who have celestial for the stats too who won’t be that affected by the loss of MF.
Well to be honest, what else could they fill the extra 100 levels with? It’s not like the other 400 levels where the items you could make got better and rarer with time. The only thing rarer than exotics (craftable at lvl 400) is ascended, so there really isn’t the gap fillers from 400-500.
My guess is that those In-Between levels will consist of different skins for the Exotic Stats already unlocked.
I was going to make meteor.. i saw Storm for 160g 2 days ago and thought.. nah i wont buy it just yet i’ll wait for it to drop abit more…. and now its 350g sigh.
Glad its getting an update tho, i hope Eternity gets one for all the effort involved in making that.

You exaggerate by miles. Stick with exotics, then. It wll be fine for sure. And I can’t take your take on the manifesto serious … everyone knows that it was PR-Bullkitten. No grind? No way. But still, most of the grind in this game is optional even now!
If you want to surive in high(er) level fractals, then yes, it is a grind. But fractals are a grind themself.

The original SAB achievement list will return, along with a new, separate achievement list for world 2.
There may even be a new special surprise for folks who finished the original list of achievements (which will also be available for folks who finish the original list while it is available)…
Ayrilana, this issue is more about FoTM than sigils.
I’d personally rather have a villain or enemy that is pseudo relateable, vs. the “oooh we’re big and dark and scary because that’s just how the world works” That is the dragons.
Scarlet might fit that, if they continue with the backstory they posted for her. Or she might just be lame. I’m waiting to see.
As for this content… It’s 2 weeks of SAB. I’m willing to put the story on hold for 2 weeks for more jumping and fun themed content.
I mean, people want more SAB, so they have to find some time to release it. Now is as good a time as any. Serves as kind of a breather episode between major plot points.
Basically will 1h and 2h infusions be balanced?
Will 1h only have 1 weapon’s infusion function? Will 2h just get a double bonus on their’s or two infusion slots?
How will this work? Having 1h weapons with a functioning infusion slot each and only 1 slot for 2h provides a serious disadvantage for 2h weapon players.
This is pretty important, especially for fractals players.
Also, will we be seeing the fractal cap being raised, seeing as we can assume that the agony resist limit will be raised?
Also concerned about this as I transmuted two of my Legendary weapons already, with Sunrise being the only one I didn’t touch, just in case I wanted to make a Eternity at some point.
While it won’t be the end of the world for me, if my Rodgort and Bolt don’t get reset to their Legendary status, I do think it’s a bit of a slap in the face, when the only reason I transmuted in the first place was from thinking that even if they wouldn’t be upgraded automatically as Ascended weapons were introduced, worst case I would simply need to collect the Ascended stats I wanted and transmute it again, as I didn’t really want Soldier stats on my weapon(s). This new way of handling the stats on the legendaries however, are something I would simply never have imagined ArenaNet to do. And it’s awesome, so thumbs up on that ArenaNet.
Hopefully this patch makes a pass through the database, looks for the Legendary skin/ID, the Transmuted status, and revert it back to Legendary.
Edit: Seems a moderator didn’t think this belongs in the topic dedicated to the Living Story patch, even though the release page is mentioning this change being implemented.

Ok, I understand the need for eliminating MF gear. Upon today’s announcement of the change coming in a week, why couldn’t they explain in detail what will happen?
Also, it was kinda crazy that the craftable Celestial gear that was just released recently had MF stats on it, don’t you think? Obviously, even people at Anet don’t know what’s going on!
We need dev communication. We need it today. We need to know exactly how the MF changes will be implemented and how we will be compensated.
Randomly implementing some change on patch day with no warning will lead to exactly the same thing that happened with the karma changes. Don’t let it happen. Give us a detailed explanation on how we will be compensated for our MF gear and how it will work.
If you don’t do this by the end of today people will read the release page and start doing crazy things like deleting their gear. This will lead to whining, complaining and the slew of support tickets. This can all be avoided by just telling us how it will work right now.
C’.mon people, you wanted something to do in the game, right? What are you waiting for? Start farming.
Not sure about the minstrel. Hobo-Tron is all but certain to be evil though.
Or you can just do it for Bragging rights. In GW 1 you could redo missions for better times and everyone would be able to see who did it faster and what not. Why not here?

Offensive
Triple Meditation Builds —
Natural Guardian defences through Renewed Focus, Shelter and High Vigor uptimes make high damage Guardian builds much less risky. Although Guardian has been able to do amazing damage since the start of the game it also requires knowing which skills to dodge and so the builds weren’t favourable for the majority of players. There aren’t too many builds that are highly effective either.
Pros:
- High DPS
- High Burst
- Strong Self Heals
- Strong 1v1
- Unexpected high damage
- High Vigor uptime
Cons:
- Weak to Conditions
- Rely on blocks to survive
- Low Support
Will Counter:
- Backpoint Assault (thieves, mesmers, DPS Guards, etc)
- Backpoint Counter-Assault (Burst Guards, thieves, etc)
- Certain Bunkers (by one-shotting them)
All-Star Burst (GS / Sw-Fc) – http://tinyurl.com/k2ehzxr (NEW UPDATED)
After the April Update this build has come completely from last position to first, the GS2 lands with rage sigils making it an AoE, undodgable machine. This will be your first meditation build and best in most situations. Optionals: Mc>Sw if playing against a thief assaulting your backpoint. Sc>Sw if your team lacks control.
Mace Burst (Mc-Tc / Sc-Fc) – http://tinyurl.com/laayrxt (UPDATED)
I’m done proving how amazingly strong the mace can burst (through the use of counter-initiates) so if you wish to know more about how it works watch my videos. This build is used now for shutting down Petting Zoo type players and just generally one-shotting other players. It’s also pretty much a direct hard counter to any thief build you can think of. Optionals: Sw>Mc if you seriously just can’t grasp the counter initiate concept.
Symbol DPS Builds — (THIS SECTION IS UNDERGOING A REWORK)
Symbol builds provide very high AoE DPS as well as high amounts small heals through the help of Healing Power. Because you get so many of these small heals you actual heal extremely fast. The symbols also provide a great deal of support for your allies. The symbols can crit over 1.2k per tick and it doesn’t matter which weapon you go because with the zerka amulet you’re going to hit 1k+ per auto-attack with any of them.
Pros:
- High DPS
- High AoE
- Strong AoE Heals
- Strong 1v1
- Can do decent Burst
Cons:
- High condition damage will break you
- Low Armour
- Weaker to burst/dps
Will Counter:
- Mesmer Shatter
- Guardian Bunker
- Engineer, decent against bombkit usually
- Thieves and Warriors
- Elementalist sustain (usually not burst though)
- Trap Rangers
Two Handed DPS (Hm / Staff) – http://tinyurl.com/kjhnvt5
The current, best DPS Guardian build. You have a lot of utility and damage, along with very high survivability and a ton of support in team fights. You are built for pretty much anything; point control, high dps, stomping, setting up plays, backpoint, far point assault. Never underestimate the amount of damage the staff deals out.

Very High sustain with a lot of damage, strong against conditions in this meta. Makes a great use of the staff which has very consistent damage and defence. Sometimes considered a little bit too defensive and as such isn’t always as effective as the other builds, for example the less offence means that a Shatter Mesmer is stronger against you. I know I’ve had this up since the guide started but it’s always been strong =). Updated recently to include a consecration of your choice, purge or hallowed is generally the best.

I spent all weekend camping the invasions, prob close to 30+ hours and never saw Dredgehaunt cliffs pop up I would love to be able to get back to not having to make sure I stop whatever I am doing and be ready to check every hour…I even logged in today while getting ready for work to make sure the event I needed didn’t pop in the 1 hour before I left.
If I wasn’t stuck at 12/13 might not care but that close is driving me crazy that the one I need just won’t come up yet I have seen Timberline, Gendarran and others up to 3+ times some even back to back.
So please in the future not everyone can be logged in 24 hours a day, now that I am back to work my window is quite smaller to hit the ones I need.
Seems a pointless inconvenience.
You want random invasions then have a place for them, don’t cause them to give normal players aggro when they’re playing the game.
Think on it like this; how effing annoying is it when you wanna map to a waypoint in a hurry and it’s contested?
Oddly enough, the Scarlet invasions don’t cause the waypoints to go contested.
New players dont need event like this,they have so much left to explore and do in the game,but older players need the living world so they have new stuff to do
I do not think these events are for new players.
I also do not have 100% with all chars, but I managed to do them with those chars anyway.
What are you complaining about? Now I want a set!
