Sigil slots for legendary weapons next update

imo, having 2 sigils in 1 single weapon is kinda OP.
having 2 switchable sigils when ure out of combat for 2h legendary is interesting tho

In any way its op? Dual wielding does have 2 sigils and no1 complaining about it being op. On top of that many 1 handers deal actually highter dps than 2h. Either we will get 2 sigils for 2h weapons, or nerf 1h weapons (olny main hand sigil count). Simple as that

If they did 2x infusion, why they can’t do 2x sigil? I completely don’t understand.

I still wish that 2H weapons had two sigil slots, seems odd 2H weapon users don’t get the same advantage as 1H weapon users.

Suggestion : Tribulation Mode Legendaries

in Super Adventure Box: Back to School

i say no

not because the idea sounds awesome, but because Tribulation isn’t what you would refer to as “hard” content….as much as “hard the first couple times”

it’s basically the exact same game, except there are traps…traps that come out of nowhere, in one of the screenshots you see the direction pointer attacking the player…i think another it showed spikes coming out of the ground….i’m sure they are going to have cliffs move or ledges disappear after you jump, or bridges fall….or just you dying because you talked to somebody

basically its “not get frustrated by cheap deaths mode”

once everyone memorizes those traps, or has experienced it about 4-5 times…speed runs are going to be possible

OP, please get some empathy, and think in their shoes for once. They’re people. They have to answer to a playerbase who wants everything. They have to answer to NCSoft who only want a bottom line. They also have their own goals they want to see, ideas they want to see come to fruition. It’s not a matter of “if”. It’s a matter of “when”.

While you have a point, it is no surprise some people are disgruntled.

The quality of the current content hardly makes me think the supposedly ‘real’ content will be any good.

Until then I won’t be playing much GW2, if at all, and I’m not holding my breath for the ‘real’ stuff.

It’s not a matter of “if” we go back to dragons or not, it’s more a matter of “when”, and it will most likely happen when they feel they’ve built up the systems they wanted to, to go forward with a new dragon storyline.

It’s like you’ve never tried to put yourself in a developer’s shoes before. I’m pretty sure Zhaitan feedback was on the underwhelming side, and ANet is aware of that.

They’re not going to go back into the personal story/dragon lore making the same mistakes again. They need time to build systems up, and when they do go back to it, they want it to be good.

Living story is practice. Players may whine all they want, but down the road, things will just get more and more efficient as the tools they use get more and more refined. Both months of Southsun, were practice. Flame and Frost is practice. Bazaar of the four winds, and cutthroat politics are all practice. Clockwork Chaos is practice. SAB, while seperate from the game, is an exercise in game mechanics, which may inform future jumping puzzles. And most recently, the Tequatl revamp, is most definitely practice, and if ANet is to be believed, the would be the first exercise in better ‘major boss’ mechanics. They would practice with each of the existing world dragons (and maybe some new ones) and then they could go back and revamp the zhaitan fight, or have a completely new and polished, elder dragon fight.

And if you try and think of their alternatives, they really did go with the best route of action. You may say “Well, if this is all practice, then they should’ve practiced it before releasing, I’d rather have higher quality releases than this”. Sure, you’d be fine, but one hundred foaming players right behind your back will scream and shout “WHERE IS THE CONTENT ANET.” Or what if, let’s say they went with something more traditional – they announce an expansion, but that expansion will be exactly what an expansion would usually entail – more maps, higher cap, etc. There will be people screaming “SO UN-IMAGINATIVE BORING SAME OLD SAME OLD I COULD BE PLAYING insert other game here”.

Guardians Vs Warriors

in Guardian

Guardian or Warrior.

wow, let the epic debate start! lol

I know both are good in PvE and im all set in that way both seem quite equal
Im curious about WvW and maybe abit of team pvp later on when i get into the game more.
What I’m looking for is the ability to support a zerg if i need to and to be able to survive decently in those head on zerg vs zerg fights, while doing decent damage to auctally feel like im putting pressure on the enemy. (my thiekittenda gets squashed
underfoot instantly).

Im also looking for the ability to solo roam if i feel the want to and be able to hold my own in a 1v1 or even a 1v2 if it pops up.

I havent much to say because there is too many to say and i havent time right now XD
pve (events): guardian for better aoe
pve (dungeons): guardian for support, warrior for massive damage
HotM: guardian bunker, warrior skull crack
WvW: guardian support, warrior… something like burst and die

in general
offensive abilities: warrior > guardian
defensive abilities: guardian > warrior
support abilities: guardin > warrior

The tone should be darker.

Yeah, I agree. The short story about Scarlet made her sound actually dark and menacing. In-game she’s closer to a Disney villain.

Did you guys miss the part in the Closing Ceremony instance where she blew up all those innocent civilians and the Seraph protecting them? The fifth bomb, remember?

Shame we didn’t see that in game, and no one actually seemed to care.

The tone should be darker.

If you take the Scarlet short story, that has her pretty brutally murder her mentor at the end of it, and compare it to the anime silly team rocket tone that you actually see in game for her . . . yeah, it’s a bit frustrating. I like a lot of the lighthearted stuff in GW2, but there is definitely a little too much of it. We could do with some serious business.

The tone should be darker.

What’s cool in GW2 is the dark undertone to lore and the dungeons – there’s some seriously twisted stuff there like that Inquest dudes Dragon research, and Baelfire turning himself into a god, and all of the Orr stuff and Jormah/Kralk stuff. The world is literally collapsing and going to the kitten around people.

However I think GW2 focuses too much on being funny and cutesie, which boxes of fun and celebrations and toymakers all of the time.

This world should be dark and dangerous – humanity lives in 2 cities, the Norn have been driven South, the Charr are struggling against the Dragonbrand and Flame Legion and the Sylvari are having a civil war. The world doesn’t reflect the actual lore we are told which is a big shame I think.

All the world ending stuff is completely contradicted by all the goofiness of fun boxes and the bad humour in the world.

Ascended weapon skins are promising!

I just saw the footage of the greatswords and they are BEAUTIFUL. However, does mean if you want a colour but not the stats you gotta make 2 and transmute…

I’m stoked at how good looking they are though!

Essence of Luck salvaged Q

Personally, I think it would be good for the economy if low level blues and greens had a purpose, because right now everyone outlevels them and they become vendor trash. Higher level blues and greens stick around longer and thus keep a little value.

Value of lower level gear going up would be good for the economy, because it would make crafting possibly profitable. Sadly, it would make it harder for players that just want to buy their gear on the AH, but it would turn them toward crafting to make their gear for cheaper and possibly make a few silver on the side by selling their extra crafts.

If lower level gear doesn’t have the same odds as higher level gear, it just means that lower level gear becomes that much more useless, people have less reason to even list it on the AH, and new players/alts find it hard to get any gear off of the AH because of a lack of supply. While anything below level 80 blues and greens will go down in value, the max level gear will go up that much more. Imagine everyone buying up all the level 80 blues and greens just to salvage them. Their value will skyrocket, which may or may not be good for the economy. It may be good for max level characters that can sell their gear on the AH for a good profit now, but for everyone below max level, it won’t be good, in my opinion.

Overall, I’m hoping it is even across all blue and green gear.

Remove salvage confirmation from masterworks?

I am bad at X, thus Arenanet should never introduce anything for people that like and/or are proficient at X, else I will open a pointless complain thread on the forums even though they went as far as introducing an easy mode for less able players.

Crafting goes up to 500 … in all weapon-creating disciplines. We will be able to craft some nice ascended weapons, but there is no word found about precursors? I bet many, like me, thought that crafting the precursor comes with the introduction of ascended weapon crafting. So now I’m very baffled. Anything to say about this, Arenanet? Does it come later or don’t you want to spoil it?

Items with little use will have some use.

That’s not bad for them ecomoneys. That’s good.

Still, I can’t say I like how people can just stick to some spot and mindlessly grind it.

They should do stuff that encourages exploration and traveling the world.

Finishing 10 different champions, event or meta events should provide better rewards that doing the same one 20 times.

Deal with it; I love crafting and it is about time we got something to work towards.

Remember that the next time you see someone with the ascended backpiece I won’t have until it is either dropped/made available in WvW, or open world or becomes craftable due to the fact it is only obtainable by way of fractals.
