patch is here but no fix for this gamebreking bug, maybe you can start to do somethingBecause you know for sure that this is just a bug where they wave a magic wand and BOOM everything is fixed. It isn’t always just so easy to fix things that appear to be easy issues within coding.
At least they can try communicate and this bug doesnt affect sPvP so fix should be easy

I don’t understand why necros can’t have something unique. That something unique was supposed to be fear, but ANet gave it out to other classes and made their version better.
Mesmers have distortion. Engineers have Elixir S. Guardians have knock down fields that prevent people from passing through them. Warriors have “charge” abilities. Thieves have no cool downs on any of their weapon abilities. Elementalists have summonable weapons. Rangers have a form of regeneration that cannot be removed (not considered a boon) and stacks with the regeneration boon.
Why can’t necros have a condition that no other class can have? There is really no unikittenfect (whats going on here? Why is unique placed next to the word effect invoking the filter?) or skill that belongs to the necromancer. Mechanically speaking, marks are just traps that are visible to everyone else. Not really unique.

Not even a single note about HP in downed state? Even if they stealth-fixed that (let’s be optimistic), the ignorance towards the community over such a long time is astonishing.
Other than that, the changes are – no surprise – underwhelming.
However, eles got slammed with the nerf bat they so richly deserved. XD
It was what we expected. The real question is what changes were made that didn’t make it into the patch notes? There are always a few of those.
I think I’ll be using Signet of Spite occasionally now, but it won’t have a permanent spot on my bar.
180 power is pretty dang good, especially in builds that use a lot of Knight’s gear and could use the extra power. 1200 range cripple is great for chasing down those eles and warriors (way more reliable than Spectral Grasp, for sure) and the blind will negate a thief opener. Poison, too, good for lessening heals on demand. And you don’t have to fiddle with targeting!
Cooldown still sucks and long casting time still sucks. But hey, at least now there’s a reason to use it.
Underwhelming patch for us, I guess I was expecting a bit more than what we were already told.

It might already be today’s patch but I’ll join in.
Warhorn 4 becomes a fear instead of daze and it’s PBAoE instead of cone, god only knows why it wasn’t already.

It absolutely isn’t too strong and I wish people would stop saying stuff like this. Plenty of classes get to heal by standing in a heal fountain inside full invulnerability or stealth.
Plenty of classes don’t lose a full trait line (siphons in blood) when they use their mechanic.
I feel like I should clarify: the heal skill, singular. As in what you choose for slot 6. I was referring to two different ideas there: receiving healing while in DS (Please yes!) and using your healing skill while in DS (Questionable!).
Maybe using your heal skill while in DS isn’t Too Stronk, but I feel like letting a Necro use their dedicated heal while in DS would be giving too much safety, given the abundant availability of DS.
But again: receiving heals while in Death Shroud, whether they’re from yourself or others? I really, really want that to happen.
Yeah I can kind of say healing in DS would be wrong, not because it is Tew Stronk, but because it would not have parity with firing the actual heal after invulnerability mode as far as say mist form.
This is post upcoming nerfs as right now I think they can do this?
However it’s still not Tue Strurm&drang because an invulnerability mode can clear infinite conditions and even stealth can clean off far more conditions than 1 per 10 (5 seconds with GM DS trait).
So for parity of gameplay, it’d be weird to fire heal ability inside DS…for relative power levels of the classes, not at all.
Siphons and other outside heals should absolutely work inside DS though. That and condition damage not affecting structures are my #1 and #2 problems with this class, siphon not scaling with heal power is probably #3. I could live with the lack of escapes and mobility if we were actually tougher using DS.

Awesome ideas guys. Just wanted you to know we’re watching/listening to your ideas for things that fit GW2.
Keep in mind that we are trying to find a condition that can be used by multiple classes (doesn’t have to be all classes, but we like to keep the condies/boons low in the game so that it’s easy for players to learn) and something that has cool play for the caster, as well as the target.
So, with that in mind, keep the ideas flowing!

Fairly new to this class but almost every 1v1 I have had the enemy just jumps around and runs in circles while I murder them, are these the people that have gotten this class so many nerfs?

My only wish is for a 1200 range on Dark Path. It would be nice to have a gap closer that people couldn’t instantly invalidate with one teleport/leap. But what do I know, it’s not like we’re supposed to be difficult to escape from or anything…
My expectation? Corrup Boon/Epidemic change, DS #5 pushed back until 2014, and “improved” pet AI that means they stand around behind the enemy doing nothing rather than standing next to you doing nothing.
They are pet classes, that is a valid tactic, the tactic of using pets as meat-shields goes back generations in MMOs.
i expect a useless signet of spite that now gives 180 power. and the aforementioned epidemic/corrupt boon changes.

After some testing, pretending as if it’s all been patched, I think we’ll be fine. The only thing that would really break us is if they removed our ability to remove immboilizes, etc. via cantrips, which I heard rumors of but could not find proof of. That’s what I was worried about the most.

OMG! What the hell is all the whining i’m reading on the forums??
My main is an ele since bwe 2, and of course i’m playing a DD cantrip build.
But just admit that OUR CLASS IS OP, everybody know that, just watch the number of eles in pvp in the last 2 months, that’s just stupid, 2/3 ele in almost every party.
So what the kitten is thinking all the people that ask for buffs? We cant have buffs, we need nerfs!
By the way, here the solution i’m goin to adopt:
1) Less condition removal: gonna put Cleansing Fire in my utilities
2) Signet of restoration nerf: goin back to a PVT set up instead of cleric, gonna use the Glyph
3) RTL nerf: just gonna use it to escape, not to enter the fight, not a big issue for me, the only real problem is that roaming is gonna be slower for us
And i want to make you know that signets are gonna get a buff like banners in the last patch, so i’m definetly gonna retry a 20-10-x-x-x aurasignet build

Eles do have many builds possible. The problem is that nothing beats the current D/D bunker hybrid ele. It has probably the best survivability in game and can be considered OP since a good one is impossible to kill.
Other builds however can in no way live up to those expectations. High dmg is only achieveable with spamming auto attack on lightning hammer or fiery gs and scepter/staff have too unrelieable dmg sources to be considered in PvP.
I used to think warriors are the biggest crybabies around.
