I am tired arena net.
We were told “new builds otw” months ago now…
I’m tired expecting each patch and saying to myself (ye, i speak to myself, don’t hate) “this patch will be it, this patch will be the new viable builds being released”…….
Only to get slapped in the face with major nerfs and 1 or 2 very minor buffs with NO new builds being made available.
I am tired of waiting arena net…
Just put us out our misery you created.
(Yes, I know the patch hasn’t hit yet….but either way it isn’t looking too bright)
Sorry for this post, I just wanted to get this off my chest, I’m tired expecting buffs and getting nerfed instead, tired of other classes being the best class in the game…

what is necromancer roaming? Oh wait you can’t roam as a necro because we have no way of getting away from a group of people. SOOOOOO who wants to cry about mobilitty?

Take this from an experienced player with a thief…. Prepare to be dominated by good guardians. Unless you play very smart and patiently, any guardian you meet worth his salt that’s anti-melee will demolish you. So many blocks/blinds/CC…eugh… Good luck though.
Even as an ele I don’t feel sorry towards this new nerf. It only brings something more to think about how to use your skill wisely and develop new ideas. Of course it affects non bunker/healer/low damager dealers eles more than those popular, predictable built eles
To be honest, I am happy for any nerf they get.
I really doubt you are a thief, then you wouldnt feel sorry for them.
Signet improvements – Buffing the passive is not the answer. The signets are the issue, this general buff while it continues to improve the value of Signet of Undeath, the rest of them are still not worth taking.
Corrupt Boon and Epidemic Unblockable – Already knew about this. They need to fix the issue where the LoS is foot to foot which means if there is a slight change is a major issue.
Minion Health – As for the notes, the fact that they specified their intention to give Flesh Wurm and Flesh Golem improved health scares me a bit. They are the two no one worries about in terms of health. Wurm does not need more health since we mainly use him as a stun breaker in pvp and out of range bomber in pve. It’s the other minions that need more help. Continuing improvement to AI changes is nice
Full DS – 5th Slot If it’s not weapon dependent it is still going to make death shroud kind of an odd duck.
Sad that they completely misunderstood Symbolic’s question about Staff. When a trait is mandatory for one form of play than it’s a trait that needs to be looked at.
Several things that bothered me – No mention of extended cast times on 90 percent of our abilities, no mention of aoe damage completely trainwrecking minions (Symbolic way to let me down man :P), no mention of the complete useless Spectral skills, no mention of the fact that Blood Magic is similar to Zeal in the Guardian line where it’s almost worthless to take it. We also missed a great opportunity for them to explain why our Death Shroud abilities are counter to each other.
TLDR: They buffed the Minions we didn’t need buffed, Death Shroud is getting a new skill, but we have no idea what it is or how to make it, CB and Epi are now fixed, Signet improvements aren’t an improvement if the cast time/cooldown/and actives are still bad, Avoided talking about any of our major issues such as mobility/aoe death of minions/Death Shroud information/Spectral uselessness/Blood Magic worthless.
I’d just like to add still no ETA on when transformations will stop killing all our minions to what Bas posted as my worries from this SotG.

I prefer the new version. Might actually make me try using it for once.
Resident Thief
Wow just wow. Drama queens all over the place because of the mug thing? Yes, thief burst needed to be toned down a bit. I think the whole CnD > steal > backstab thing was way too powerful anyway, and in Spvp you won’t even hit it off all that well!
Try something else instead of the WoW cheesy rogue or the standard assassiny thing. We are called Thieves for a reason, not assassins! Imagine us as the dueler, the wanderer, the guy who likes shiny things.
The heal will actually be pretty nice if you work your way around it, you will need to think on how to use your steal. Is it time to strike? Go for it!
Also, if you can play S/D properly….sweet kitten it can do a lot for you already. The boon steals are going to make it extra sexy soon :P
My s/d build is doing better than my d/p build without mug (preparing for update) I’ve found fights take a few seconds longer but I can be so slippery it doesn’t matter. I’d rather live and have sustained damage than burst and die.
Oh no, you have to do more then one rotation to kill a target now?! Ohhhh no!
Min-Maxing your character will do this to you, don’t try to play the OP thing, make a build famous and this wouldn’t happen.
FYI – I’m still doing plenty of damage on my Thief and I havnt touched Mug, figure out how thats possible.

S/D is grossly bad and underpowered, along with 70% of other thief sets ( condi builds, S/P, S/D, P/P, P/D) and along with 80% of thief traits and U-skills.
There is no point into have a reasoning with you.
You are too biased toward your profession. This statement is utterly stupid to be said by a impartial point of view.
I always loved S/D.
In the thief forum, it is common sense that FS is bad and S/D is underpowered. False.
Actually this is one of the most complete and versatile weapon set thief has. It isn’t stupid like P/D conditions or D/D backstab.
Anyway I bet we’ll see a new meta once FS get buffed. IMHO it doesn’t need a buff at all.

Long time needed nerf.
Let’s work logically backwards. A 50% nerf would imply that confusion is drastically, game breaking overpowered right now.
If I see a video game nerf something by 50% that would tell me that that item is so overpowered that the game was brought almost to a standstill with the opness of that item of trait.
LOL has a perfect example recently of the Season 3 black cleaver. At the beginning of the season the black cleaver was so strong almost every champion was picking it up and some even stacking many. Smite had release Gaun Yu which was so strong for the first week that each match was basically Guan Yu vs Guan yu and may the better Guan Yu win.
So you’re telling me that confusion was 50% too strong? Not 30% not 20%? In my estimation playing tons of confusion it was somewhere in between 20-35% too strong. We’re not even going to try these numbers? Just BAM 50% gone.
You’re telling me that Confusion was 50% too strong……………BS. Confusion is now regulated to support and this drastically changes the class in a single nerf.
I could still make confusion builds work with a 30% nerf but 50%? Come on, that’s a bit much. What happened to reducing ratios? What happened to nerfing it by 25% then seeing how that goes? Has a 30% nerf been tried even in house? Am I wrong about my conclusions here?
That being said I’m not trying to complain as much as understand teh logic from the game designers themselves. If they just want the game easier for new players that’s fine but do we have to SLASH AND BURN in a single patch?
What happened to scalpels? All we have are chainsaws?

I think you are over exaggerating because I don’t remember him asking a lot of questions at all and especially when it would be for thieves.
Because if you think asking “are you going to separate solo que from premade” is thought provoking then asking them why the haven’t adopted system ratings similar to other MMOs (leagues and tiers) is a question that can never be answered.
I will definitely see that SOTG again just to be accurate enough and not talking out of my kitten.
Link to the SOTG? Also I have no sympathy for the D/D ele, that build has been ridiculous for way too long.
It would take too much work i guess, but it sucks that GW2 is based arround those huge events, Guild missions and WvW but most ppl have lags because GW2 engine isnt very good for huge events and WvW which is kinda ironic
The game needs it badly but instead we get new ridiculously priced items (with juicy RNG) in gem store. Look at Skyrim for example, not only the game looks significantly better (modded of course) but in same amount of time they’ve achieved ~double frame rate. Time to optimize gw2, this is not a looker like Crysis 3 and should run waaay better than it is.

success ( Got an answer within 1 hour, while We posted it for 3 weeks ++ in the bug and class forum without any answer), here we go for another MAJOR bug plaguing our necromancer communty.(no punt intended)
Minions AI, especially in World vs World.
There are many issue with them, and it has been posted many times in various sub forum. If you resume :
- They go AFK during fight. Mainly the melee minions. Flesh Goelm (an Elite) is a big culprit, as are our bone minions. They will randomly stop attack, and sometime they won’t do anythning for the entire fight duration.
They have many other design issue(like Flesh golem dispeling when entering water), but them going AFK during fights is the worse in my opinion.

For those that don’t know him, Xsorus is the maker of pains inverters videos and he mainly played a Ranger. He started playing a MM necromancer lately, and here what he had to say about minions :
" I didn’t think it was possible to get a dumber pet then a Rangers…I was wrong…Now I don’t so much mind my pets having a hard time getting to a target, which they do..What i do mind in any MMO is when i’m fighting someone to look 3 feet to the left and see my Pet standing there…."
It’s an horrible bug, and it’s one of the reason why I stopped playing my necro 4 month ago. Always waiting for the next patch only to find out Anet didn’t do anything about it yet.
It’s unacceptable, and it has been what? 7 month since release? We have to do something.
Once again, I’m asking the WvW communty to keep this thread alive. We need Anet WvW team to see this, since they seems to be more communicative then the rest of the team.
We need this, for the sake of Minion Master in WvW.
