Credit where it’s due, the devs stepped up their game and gave us -25%. We need -50%, it’s why the trait was originally buffed from 25 to 50 in the first place, but I hope you get there. Maybe make the next -25 a trait, whatever.
NEXT: you guys need to add the cd reduction to shroud back to SoS. If a % reduction will be too strong for sand shroud, then just make it a flat 3 seconds. Either way, you need to add it back. I don’t think you fully realized how much it matters that a melee power reaper can get back into shroud quicker than 10 seconds. It’s almost like if you increased the attunement time for ele’s…. it would destroy their rotation and it matters to us too. Thanks!

no more Ticket cap , i just got 14 tickets on the first Diamond Chest after finishing diamond tier.
This is unintended. There is supposed to be a weekly ticket cap and we will be fixing this.
Please consider leaving it as is, wvw is really fun again. I want to be rewarded for the amount of time I spend in a game mode. Thank you.
The main reward for playing a game mode is called “fun”.
Real-WvW-players do it for fun (and not for tickets).
All these silly assumptions about making scourge the only boon corrupt spec or turning necro into condi only- no. Just rethink your build. You have new stuff to play with, too. Some of these changes like making signets of suffering much more support-y and required for keeping shroud up better don’t make sense though.
For now, just adapt. Every other thread is already telling Anet about how much “we”(not me anyway) dislike how “our” builds were all broken due to some trait changes.
Plus, vital persistence is only required if you’ve been using it your entire life and have grown way too attached too it. Most people can get in shroud, do what they want to do with shroud, and get back out when they need to. Dhuumfire and the like aren’t gone, and spectral armor & walk still keep you up- spectral grasp even gives you 100% shroud back if traited(not sure about this, i didn’t test it but it would make sense since the tooltip doesnt say that every one of the five gives you 4% lf)
What are u talking about? The vast majority of builds are dependent on 1 or 2 key traits, remove those traits and the builds are dead, necro builds are no exception.
Balance patches are supposed to encourage build diversity, this recent patch obliterated reaper power builds, it’s indefensible.
Guess they didn’t wanted us to buy the new xpac. We need a BUFF rather than a nerf. But then again, I expected nothing from Anet.
Yup, I’m quitting my Power Reaper main. The profession I used to love so much now feels awkward and annoying to play. If I can’t find a new main, I will search for a new MMO.
This is why I quit the game 2 years ago After a while you have to accept that they are just bad at developing this game and quit. It makes for a happier existence.

Why is the signet trait “must have”. For pvp it is likely complete garbage. Totally unviable. I havent tested it but I am almost certain I am right.
It basically shift what you lost from VP to the signets passive effect. If you depended from VP, the loss are compensated throught the passive of the signets and to have it in shroud you need the goddarn trait.
I would delete Nec from the Game.

Are you talking about Speed of Shadows? Because I can agree on that.
What kind of synergy and rotation are you talking about in terms of VP? Its not like with the old VP you’d wait out the CD on a RS4 to use RS4 again.
Even in raids, the QT benchmarks exit shroud the moment their RS4 finishes, iirc. If you’re getting hammered in PvP, VP won’t matter, and if you aren’t getting hammered you shouldn’t be camping shroud anyways.

Necros don’t have a Dev……
I was SUPER confused after the patch today, to the point where I had to stop, check my build, and then read the patch notes to ensure that I wasn’t just plain hallucinating.
After the changes to Soul Reaping I fall out of Shroud amazingly quickly and have to wait 10 seconds to get back into it. At first I thought that I was doing something wrong. Then I assumed that I had my build reset with the patch.
The truth is far more depressing: with the Soul Reaping traitline receiving such heavy-handed nerfs, Reaper Shroud builds just don’t function anymore. I’m much better off just picking up a Greatsword and keeping my Life Force as a fallback in case I start taking heavy damage.
I can’t properly convey my disappointment. The Reaper Shroud build is the most fun I’ve had in this game, but with the amount of time spent out of Shroud now I’m not getting enough value out of the traits dedicated to it to justify the build.
Could we just… bake in the cooldown reduction from Speed of Shadows and reduced Life Force decay from Vital Persistence to the baseline Shroud? It’s not like the reduced cooldown and decay rate made Shroud overpowered; in fact, it was the bare minimum necessary to be able to use Shroud for anything other than an emergency lifebar.

There are so many annoying cliffs in ABL and DBL I don’t even. So glad gliding is coming.

This pretty much sums up combat in WvW. Is this really what you designers had in mind for WvW? Why is my character CONSTANTLY stunned, dazed, and downed? Here’s a hint: that’s not fun. It’s also not what I want in return for my hard-earned money.
Besides map adjustments, we have also replaced Ballista’s fourth skill with an anti-air bolt skill that shoots people out of the air and immobilizes them for a short duration.
I’ve said this every time it’s brought up: Only if I can shoot you out of the sky and watch you drop like a lead balloon.

Yes! You will be able to switch runes just like legendary armor.

Wow, now this is an amazing change.
When the August 8th update is released, WvW and PvP players who own Heart of Thorns will be able to upgrade their WvW and PvP ascended armor to have legendary attributes! This new type of armor will not have a unique skin, such as the one that is part of the raids legendary armor, but instead will consist of an upgrade to WvW and PvP ascended armor that gives those armor pieces legendary stat-swapping capabilities without changing the skin.
The following PvP and WvW ascended armor can be upgraded to allow stat swapping:
• Triumphant Hero’s Ascended Armor
• Mistforged Triumphant Hero’s Ascended Armor
• Ardent Glorious Ascended Armor
• Glorious Hero Ascended Armor
To upgrade a piece of WvW or PvP ascended armor, combine 3 new PvP or WvW gifts with 1 piece of ascended gear in the Mystic Forge. You can purchase ingredients for the gifts from either Commander War Razor in WvW or the Ascended Armor League Vendor in PvP.
Not worth even the development time. Don’t forget about your siege.
Brilliant idea here. When a treb shoots a cow, it should leave a corpse at impact. And necros have the ability to ressurect it and ride it as a mount. With new skills.
Dead Cow skills:
1) “Moo of death”. 10 closest enemies die immediatly and cannot res for 10 min.
2) “Clean grass”. Your cow eat so much grass that 15 enemies fall though the ground and end up in an random HoT map.
3) “Bullcall”. Raise a dead bull lover that attack your enemies with furious humps.
4) “Moove”. Kick all surrounding enemies with your hoofs and jump back to spawn.
5) Elite skill “Digest”. Your cow eat the closest enemy commander that must pass though all 4 stommachs with 25 stacks of unremovable torment as a result.
