Thanks McKenna for answering the questions. It’s good to know that changes are being tried in wvw!
That’s more like expansion content not a free feature pack to be honest.

MAKE OBSIDIAN SANCTUM GUESTABLE. Guesting to other servers has no place in this game anymore as cross map pve came out years ago, make guesting to OS to other tiers viable, you already removed loot from OS as well as warscore for killing players. Guild hall arenas are complete garbage and way to tiny to fight in and have been since day 1. Making OS guestable will reignite fight guilds passion to fight players and allow the incoming pve players to not be harassed in ebg for taking up que spots.
I agree, that map should become like a guild arena but not pips or reward tracks in that one, as otherwise would be easily exploitable.

This would also allow friends from same server to fight each other to test builds and duel.

I am with a guild that hops servers looking for fights against other servers every new pairing. Rewards are now more of an incentive to play than ever, which may give us permanent residence some where. Will this start when the patch drops or will this start from the last time you moved?
Guilds still transferring around under the premise of finding fights? No worries, Anet added a wvw LFG function. Just specify— “Fight guild—Looking For another Guild to Nuthug”

actually i think the system in place is pretty good solution:
- first week match you earn no pips.
- 3 next weeks you earn many less pips.
For 1st month the players that are hoping servers will earn less (we don’t have the numbers yet but lets say half less) pips per skirmish .
i think the math behind it is solid. And depending how many times you have to complete the pips track you need for the items that could mean a lot.
Now the core of WvW it’s server fidelity and pride so this change is good.

I agree, 3 weeks seems a little too short to mean anything close to “server loyalty”, it’s too casual a sense of the word for that time frame – it needs to be a more substantial and solid amount of time to have any sense of ‘server loyalty’. This is something you have to commit to.
3 weeks = showing loyalty? not really, from what I’ve seen.
Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.
Quick transfer to BG first now, ask question later

Maybe they should extend that 3 weeks to match the duration of pairings.
(has that changed? I was under the impression it was still 2 months).

+1. Please give them penalty to whoever changed server during current pairing

Hope this has a positive impact on the game mode. My feelings on the other 4 points are mixed, but the weekly reset idea might simply overrule those concerns. Let’s see how it works.
Legendary back item from WvW. Looks good in principle, but will wait until full details of all tiers are posted. Some bright spark in team chat said you had to be in Tier 1 to get it, but I see no evidence for this.
The pressure to win skirmishes might be a problem, though. Will wait for more details before I decide if I like or dislike this aspect.

Literally…. damage for some professions is off the roof and CC makes some matches unplayable…..
Literally:

dead
No where near enough stability/cc breaks to cope with it.

The only thing that I would look for in my analysis is the addition of a clone/fantasm system to the necromancer’s mechanism. Clones/fantasms are supposed to be a kind of hexes so they more or less fit the necromancer’s thematic.
However, that’s just what I’d find interesting. I strongly believe that the necromancer need a spec that lean toward some support that really give him some weight in a party. And sadly nothing in the leaks hint toward that at first glance. Thought a spec leaning toward control and the poison condition is not that bad and feel pretty relevant to the necromancer’s thematic. Yet It would still be disappointing.
Shared inventory slots are already available in the gem store and gathering tools already can be placed in them.
If you have any of the old soulbound infinite gathering tools you can speak to one of the Black Lion NPCs (armoursmith I think) to make them account bound so they can go in there.

because of pvp reasons.
I am so tired of this.
They use to be instant IIRC except elite but got nerfed because of pvp reasons.
Our necromantic power has just increased!
Is Thread Necromancy a problem in the Necromancer forum?
Can it even be a problem?

It is terrible in pvp
I tend to forget that pvp isn’t the only mode in this game when I make statements like this.
Generally, when I pve im just soloing, running around mindlessly completing meta events in HoT maps. =/
I usually run power builds in all modes anyways.
it’s a pve trait… straight and simple. definitely not optimal for pvp/wvw

First big mistake they did with Scrapper was designing it for only one mode without even thinking of the other.
i dont think thats a mistake. the mistake is in not being able to push out another elite spec for 2-3 years.
head here to discuss wvw without fear of infractions
My point is more : “Ain’t the issue condition transfert and not deathly chill?”
Condi transfert is almost useless in PvE but shine in PvP/WvW.
Saying that the culprit is a trait that allow one to stack bleed while the real burst come from the condi transfert is a bit harsh. From my point of view this would just be another pointless nerf avoiding the real issue for the sake of keeping up with flawed design.
It’s sad you can see the hard anet fail by making the pvp game mode require mobility to hold little circles then making one class that has triple the map crossing speed then any other class. lol anet if only you had a real pvp mode like gw1 to play some pvp on.
Still to this day courtyard was the best map and it ended the need for a crossing map teef.
|||Necro the masterclass very few know about.|||
They don’t really have any hard counters, they are rampant right now.
You can work around DH. Thief rotates faster than DH which means that the DH can’t pick the fight. The DH can only aggress the thief when the thief lets the DH.
Also a thief has no issue getting a +1 on DH. DH’s low base HP makes them vulnerable to spikes, and thieves are masters of the spike. Thieves just can’t 1v1 DH because it takes too long.

I totally agree. Sigils take up so much space.
Also can anet please do something about bag types???? Why are there 4 bag types with the exact same name but won’t stack? WTF?
4 different type of “Gilded strongboxes” take up 4 inventory slots, even though the spelling is exactly the same, what is up with that.
