Please make Raids so stacking isnt possible
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Aleksander Suburb.4287
Why is it so much more “fun” to stand apart and press 2 on your longbow than stand closer to each other and share boons, cleanse conditions, have common projectile defense?
….
Cause I want to see something of the game or at least the enemy. Instead I can only see the butts of my team in my face and bang my head on the keyboard … this is fun, indeed -.-

Go watch the raid trailer…..
also fun and challenging dungeon ?
It is not, if you’re just sitting in one position and push the same 2 buttons mentioned in a dungeonguide.
The active skill should teleport the spirit to your location. So you don’t need to recall all 5 spirits in a full spirit build. In addition the active skill should be supportive too. Some boons or healing after teleport would be fine, instead of the useless blind, damage or whatever stuff that didn’t hurt anybody.
Some random events would be cool, so that you can randomly fall in an event. Better than waiting on the same points on the map with the farmtrain waiting for the next event.

What is about the exp-boost? I would like to level slow the masteries, but if i’m left behind, cause other people using the boost and can finish events in seconds (i. q. with jumping mushrooms) while i have to climb the difficult way up. i will be dissapointed
Why don't the nobles just waypoint out?

They’re parsimonious :P
I hate the druid spec. Just one pet for the whole jungle, kitten -.-
… the two id say are the greatest offenders, but that’s because all their high damage kitten has evades on it.
… and then the druid comes with a new condition, that prohibit to dodge >:D BAZINGA!
So we could already dodge in Guild wars 1 and every other game where you can move your character.
All I want are:
- Permanent Stow available. No trade offs or benefits whatsoever.
~ would allow you to save your pet from harm at places where it would normally die – increasing your DPS (also saving it after Signet of Renewal and Empathic Bond pulling 12stacks of burning)
- All pets now share 100% of boons and friendly effects applied to the owner. (food/stealth included). Food and Nourishment are refreshed every time.
Pets are no longer a subject for AoE boon procedure.
~ This is just that obvious. We need this baseline
- Fortifying Bond – All existing boons are now transferred to your other pet when you pet swap.
~ A meaningful replacement for current FB which has to become baseline at some point. Would only make sense this way.And we will become a reliable class that can skip PvE parts, pets will no longer be a burden and if anyone of ANet developers dares to say that would be OP, I will dare them to check elementalist after all 3 years and say that again.
All I want is to have a reason to love my pet. To have my class-defining mechanic that would actually be helpful, not harmful.
How can I give two “+1”?
Exactly this!
I’ve heard, with the next mesmer elite-specialization you can take control of elder dragon -.-
yeah it exsists now too with HoT, its called Dragon Hunter….. pets are one of the main reasons not to play a ranger.
fixed for you.
Just add the option and everything is fine. You can’t tell people, that it would be to complicated for new players with such a button. It is more complicated to control your pet without it. Plus your pet already get sometimes aggro, although you aren’t attacking anything. Just by targeting an enemy -.-
[+] Button to perma stow the pet. It comes out by pushing any F-key
Why should they show the druid in a video and call him druid, while the real druid is wearing a hammer in the same video?
They have to fix the pet AI and attack issues first and need to talk about it. Otherwise people get disappointed to hear that the druid is all about his pet :P
Something like mass reveal or an aoe that destroys all clones/illusions which try to enter (like they do with our projectiles) >:)
Don’t know the meaning of this thread?!?
I thought the spirit destroy itself after activ skill, wasn’kitten
Maybe the aspects the passive bonus of the pet-class, that we’re currently using. If we use a wolf, we’ve the aspect of canine. If we use eagle, we’ve the aspect of birds … etc.
If you switch your pet, you will also switch the aspects and initiate a AoE (buff or damage). Or the aspect is a new F2 skill.
…
Also with the new traits like QuickDraw this skill behaviour is completely adverse and defeat the purpose of that trait, when you can’t cast anything else but the AA chain.
…Light on feet is adverse, too. More damage after a dodge, but you can’t dodge in auto attack -.-
I tried shortbow and sword for a long time, but the sword is awful in many situations (i.e. attacking on cliffs [all three attacks are useless on cliffs or floating isles], attacking an vanishing target, attacking a construction [yeah free, stupid jumps], …)
…

8 months only…necros minion AI has not been fixed.
they still stand around like they don’t have a brain and no aggression.
They have not a brain
I hope they will fix the AI in general before HoT Release.
I can imagine many things for a elite-specs-mechanic.
- With F2 you will transform yourself to your pet and another pet will come in. So three pets attacks and nobody knows who are you and who is AI.
- With F2 your pet will lurk for your enemy. So your enemy will gain slow and you lose your weapon skills and get a bow, crossbow, slingshot or throwing knife with new skills especially for interrupting. If you interrupt the enemy, the pet will start a mighty leap. After a few seconds you will change weapons.
- With F2 you will camouflage and get control of your pet. If you receive damage or your pet get killed or after 30 s, you will leave camouflage and get control of your ranger.
- Your F1-F4 keys will summon temporarily different pets. F1 summons 2 birds or a moa. F2 summons a porcine, feline or canine. F3 summons a drake or bear. F4 summons devourer or spider. (You can select pet-type for each F-skill)
- You ride your pet and get a break bar (you fell down, if you get enough disable skills at a time). This mechanic is already in hot for enemies and the developer talked about a class, that get this feature. [But i think, this will be a feature for a warrior :P]
But just a few will work for druid setting from the trailer.
(edited by Aleksander Suburb.4287)
druid will be last. It will show the new pet mechanic after they have told that they improved the AI of enemies, pets and minions. If they reveal a new pet mechanic before this, the community will go in berzerk mode
Nice idea, but it has nothing to do with spirits. It could be something for the druid or other elite specs in future.
I would prefer a “teleport spirit to my position”-active-skill for spirits and more support character for active and passive skills instead of “add burn” or “add 10% dmg” or “freeze people around”.
1 hour here, too And half of it was out of golem
right! let us get 6 trait lnes -.-
Btw. two or three trait lines out of five have the most diversity.
1 out of 5 = 5 options
2 out of 5 = 4+3+2+1= 10 options
3 out of 5 = 1+2+3+4 = 10 options
4 out of 5 = 5 options
5 out of 5 = 1 option
No class can get rid of their class mechanic. It can change one Hot comes out with elite specialization.
Plus doing so would mean you lose roughly 30% of your dps.
Every class can get rid of their class mechanic except the ranger. Never heard of a mesmer who was forced to shatter while take fall damage or enters water. Never heard of a necros who was forced to enter death shroud when combat starts. Never heard of elementalist attunements changing without pushing the f-keys. Or of warriors adrenaline blinding him in jumping puzzles. Or of thiefs who automatically use their steal and were unable to get achievements in biss fights.
My trapper build get not broken. It was just improved.
WoW, all this hate just because your trapper rune build(which was kinda imba BTW) got small nerf if any? Traps are much stronger now, lots of ppl like the change. HS is very buggy ATM you so cant judge the full trapper build yet.
Relax dud, I strongly advice you to change to topic, its very childish.
There is not a small nerf. It is much stronger than before. The only disadvantage is, you can’t hit people on the wall.
The knockdown on the spike trap alone is the best thing against the ever blinking, teleporting, stealthing or jump-attacking classes. :-)
Traps are really cool now. Before the only effective thing on traps was the ‘throwing’. Now you set your trap (like normal trap) and it is more effective than the trap before the changes. The only disadvantage is, you can’t kill people on the wall anymore.
Chill out, we'll get a lot of free stuff...

As it is it is barely worth $20. They literally haven’t told us anything about it. All we know so far is about 1 map with 3 “levels” aka 1 map. One really kittenty open world boss fight. The Wyvern was easily defeated by a bunch of celestial Revenants who didn’t even know how to play the class in the first beta. Guild Halls which should have arguably been in the game since launch. And masteries which we also don’t know much about….
And in other games you always know how many elevels it contains?
And this is a pre purchase. Of course you don’t know everything about it -.-
If you don’t want to buy a game, you don’t know the content, then just wait
I’m also waiting for a analog collector’s edition and hoping this will exist.
Mind your own kitten business then. People who don’t think it is worth it and who feel ripped off and who in general don’t like anets shady practices lately are voicing their opinion. If you don’t want to be told you’re wrong then stop telling people not to voice their kitten opinion as well.
you don’t need to get angry, if there are people who are on the hype-train and not on the crying-train.

You can buy guild wars 2 at other stores. Such as amazon. They aren’t offering it in website other than as a free bonus but if you just want core game its available. Amazon lists ncsoft as seller.

Challange, defend the HoT expansion price

Here is a little challange to all you fanboys/white knight and others
The BOB Exampel
Two people go into same shop to buy a bundle made out of 2 items, lets call the item BOB, Person 1 already have a BOB and person 2 dont.Bundle contains: BOB and a expansion for BOB.
The Problem is when you leave the store, a store clerk come running after you and say to person 1: Sorry Sir, but i see that you already have BOB at home and takes your BOB away.
Both payed the same amount, How do you think person 1 feels now ?
Justify how person 1 gets same value for money as person 2
EDIT: BOB is everylasting, does not break or gets old
Here is a challenge for you:
Start a QQ-post without reason.
For your info. The Shopkeeper don’t take your BOB. You can take it home, install it and you can see, that a installation of the same game on the same system is redundant -.-

50$ (or €) is ok for me, but I want a collector’s edition like first time. So I hope there will be a improved collector’s edition. The digital items of the last one, were not as good as I thought But the analog Rytlock was great :P
Is there a chance for collector’s edition + pre purchase?
But your suggestions just revive fractals with tones of farmers. We don’t need more farmers in fractals, we need people who want to play, cause it’s fun to play
I was thinking about, what the new Specialization-System can give us rangers in the future. The problem of ranger-specializations is, that we can’t get rid of our pet or the half of our main-traits is lost.
So future specializations need pets in some forms with own abilities. They need F2 (special attack) and F4 (pet swap) as trigger for many traits.
The role of the Pack Leader is to use more, weaker pets instead of controling one more powerful pet. With the Pack Leader you can encircle your enemy and hunt him down. You can focus more on your own skills and get help of your pets, if you really need them. It is possible to have several pets at one time with different speciality, but these pets are more weaker in damage output.
Class mechanic:
The Pack Leader class mechanic is to summon pets in fight, which help you for a short time.
F1: select/deselect Attack Target for Pet (like current ranger F1/F3)
F2: all pets start their special attack (recharge 20s) (like current ranger F2)
F3: ground target area for pets to guard (like guard without buffs)
F4: change between the two types of pets (like current F4 without summon the pet)
F5: summon the current selected type of pet
F1-F3 are for commanding the pets. You can select two types of pets from all of your pets and you can change between these two types with F4. With F5 you can summon the current selected pet. F4 needs a recharge of ~20 s. The recharge of F5 could be dependent of the summoned pet-type. The skills of the pets will be dependent on their pet-type. So each bird will do the same.
Examples of pet types:
Birds: With F5 you will summon two weak birds (low recharge, normal duration). Their F2 blind one target.
Canine: With F5 you will summon one dog (normal recharge, normal duration). His F2 willknock down his target.
Drake: With F5 you will summon one slow drake with high vitality and toughness (high recharge, normal duration). With F2 he will whirl around and daze enemies.
Feline: With F5 you will summon a cat in stealth (5s) (low recharge, low duration). With F2 it will roar and gain all allies around might.
…
To reduce the programming effort, we only need functionality for the pet types. So every bird will do the same, but you can change the look by selecting a raven or an owl.
Weapon:
The Pack Leader will also use a staff like the druid. The staff is for melee attacks and defence.
The weapon will have a slow, melee, auto cleave with three attack-steps. The last attack step will knock back enemies in front a little.
Skill 2: inflicts vulnerability if hit from behind or side.
Skill 3: a whirl attack and all enemies around get blindness. The ranger get the animation of a whirling drake-spirit. (like 3 of the most ranger weapons)
Skill 4: whirl the staff before you for a short time to create a shield against projectiles (reflect?). Blocks next melee attack and ends.
Skill 5: smash the staff to the earth. Bugs, snakes and spiders come out of the earth to attack enemies nearby. Poison? Bleed? Cripple?
Skills:
The Pack Leader get skills for summoning pets (Minions), which fight by his side for a short time (15s?).
Heal: summon a moa and heal yourself. The moa will heal allies around with his screech in short intervals.
Utility 1: summon a wolf. The wolf will immobilize the foe in short intervals.
Utility 2: summon a jungle stalker. It gives 3s stealth to you and all your active pets by skill activation.
Utility 3: summon a boar. It attacks enemies in a line kocking them down by skill activation.
Utility 4: summon a drake. It shots poison clouds in intervals.
Elite: summon a strong bear. The bear will take conditions from allies and boons from enemies around in short intervals.
What are your thoughts? What did you like and dislike? Give Arenanet some nice ideas for future specializations!
We’ve seen so many cavaleries and break bars in the beta and there should be a class with a break bar. I think the warrior gets a mount and with the mount he gets the break bar. Maybe as elite skill or as class mechanic, don’t know.

The digital bonus item were not so good. But the rytlock statue (collectors edition) is very nice. I hope i will get a logan in some years too ^^
And better ingame items will be nice too.
we need a mechanic, that nobody can spawn items within the radius of another item/chest.
it looks like the last three bags of every store characters of mine :P
sad nerdy weirdo-ness that can only be offset by an Elvis impersonator minister…
it is as sad, weird and nerdy as investing lifetime in an online game. Or investing time to discuss about an online game … what a weirdo-ness :-)
It’s the starting zone for the new class: the reverend;)
just joking. I think a chapel would be cool. if you want amarriage, you can do so. its a rpg so lets do some roleplay. For myself, i was praying for my girl friend in the temple of the six for a good graduation (and it worked) ;p
Maybe it will be like in gw1. In prophecies nobody wanted to use a minion master, but after the faction mission vizunah square, everybody used one or two minion masters in their group ;p
Just give me my beloved male drakescale armor
we need more Invetory space Anet.
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

We don’t need more space. We need fewer different currency-items and all this stuff. Put the endless-tonics into a own register like the minis. Get a valuable use for all the dragonit, bloodstone etc., don’t design twenty another keys for some chests. Or another boost for xp, magic find etc.
I only know the staff skin. I think I find all armor skins for my druid in the expansion pack.

Saying “just play a warrior” is just such a stupid answer. You see, also Heimskarl is wondering, that this statement worked
What I am wondering, is what that second sentence means.
I said play a warrior because if you want a GS weapon that does tons of DPS and you don’t like the pet, you aint gonna like the Ranger. It’s simple, really, not stupid. It wasn’t an answer to a question it was a statement of fact.
I mean that you was wondering that finally one player moved to another class. ^^
Yay, it is working guys! We can just send them over to the guard forum now!
