I like the new LS – and I like the permanence of it along with skins I can obtain in-game, even though the rng is agonizing.

I was disappointed by the last feature pack more than I was excited by it, especially after all the buildup. And part of that is because of the deafening silence of anet towards players immediately after (my personal qualms were megaservers, townclothes, wardrobes).

Therefore I have decided to partially ignore the buildup to this one and avoid getting excited – unless they put in something genuinely amazing. If anet changes its tune and decides to respond to player grievances and questions after release, I’ll feel a lot better.

But yeah, in short I agree that anet has gone overboard with the hype.

Very true. Enough is enough. Something similar to this has been requested by players since day one, yet we have received systems, content, etc that no one asked for. Time to give the players at least one thing that us unlucky people want.

There are other things I want but this is the top of the list.
Other things:
*Appropriate rewards for Living Story and other events (seriously? globs of goo?)
*More ingame achievement based play like SAB hard mode with unique rewards that are appropriate to the level of difficulty (like SAB hard mode or liadri)
*Ability to search TP according to armor weight
*SAB
*(A massive list I don’t feel like posting just this moment…)

Not really….I had to look it up. We just call it Gravy Fries w/ Cheese, down here in the Deep South.

While potatoes + gravy (and in some cases, grated cheese) is not seen as revolutionary anywhere in northern and eastern Europe… poutine does not simply have cheese on top, but cheese curds (the fresher, the better). It doesn’t make a lot of difference to me, but my Canadian family told me off for my ignorance.

SAB is just a temporary event….Anet has MUCH bigger priorities (i hope lol) than trying to add back a silly event…

What we’re asking for is basically something new to do while they announce how they fixed the other stuff (I say announce how they fixED because while I realize development goes on as long as possible they have likely completed most of whatever they’ve been working on in-house – otherwise they wouldn’t be setting up the announcements for it). I can’t imagine it’s more than hitting a switch to load SAB back up again in the mean time.

In short, I’ve really missed SAB and would like to go back to it while I wait for the next update.

Anyone care to explain to me why this is important. Are there people running WvW who can’t read who need to be told “follow red” or “stack of green”?

I find that when a commander tag stands by a poi or vista and I try to mouse over them, I get the highlight for the map item, not the name of the commander. If I have a party member standing by the commander I get the party member’s name, not the commander’s. It’s annoying when my party members is afk and won’t say who they are standing near.

But yeah, it would help me because of annoying mouse over interference. That and being able to glance at a color takes less time than mousing over something – those seconds can count in open wvw when you need to make a snap decision and someone is attacking you.

I’ve actually been thinking about that for quite some time. Perhaps, in reality Trahearne is an agent for Mordremoth. Mordremoth has been seeking to off Zhaitan for a long time. So he bent Trahearne to his will and sent him out to influence the 3 orders of Tyria into defeating Zhaitan. This is largely because Mordremoth represents life while Zhaitan represents unlife and thus both are polar opposites.

In time, when Jormag encroaches further south, Primordus might rise up and the forces of the two will face off against each other. Fire versus Ice (A song of ice and fire?)

Kralkatorrik and the Deep Sea Dragon may do the same as one represents stasis and lack of change as judged by the crystalisation of creatures into the Brand while the DSD represents the tides and constant change.

Just throwing it out there that it would be really nice to see some leafy, petally outfits. My sylvaris miss their town clothes and there isn’t anything leafy to wear ingame outside of the TA armor. The npcs have some really cool looks currently unavailable to players.

So please consider putting sylvari outfits ingame soon!

On the subject of Canadian food, they should really add Maple Syrup to the game too. Perhaps a chance to harvest Maple Syrup off of t2-4 Tree nodes?

Could combine Maple Syrup with Icy Core in order to make Maple Candy (and help get 5 Icy Cores out of the economy…)

I don’t even think this forum is read by anyone with “power” to take decisions. The only anet workers going around here just seem to keep the forum from going to far on verbal abuse and such things…

That’s probably very much the case. This is how it works in many companies.

A huge percentage of all forum posts are a waste of time from a production point of view. People yelling to nerf this or nerf that and other people telling them to learn to play. People saying that dungeons are too hard. Plenty of stuff that makes no real sense to pay attention to.

So taking a dev that has authority and making him troll through thousands of posts to find dozens of useful ones is a bad business decision.

Instead you have works who aren’t as vital to the game go through them and make lists of the stuff they should look at/pay attention to.

It works the same way in publishing. You get 1000 submissions a month, 100 of which aren’t crap. It’s called the slush pile. You get a junior editor to go through the slush pile and reject the crap. Then they go through the 100 and weed out the ones that fit the criteria you can actually buy and maybe 20-30 of them get to the editor’s desk, of which he’ll choose five.

I hope for Legendary Armor, they allow us to craft all the pieces at once, instead of individual pieces.

Also, I hope they make it compatible with every race’s problems. That is, make it not clip a Charr’s tail, and make it not clip an Asura’s toes. Also, make it not suffer from horrible stretching problems the Sylvari have.

Seriously, if they have legendary armor, they better kitten make it compatible for each race! Make it cultural if they have to…

And make it not stretch awkwardly on norn ladies….

Honestly I’d love to have skritt and largos as playable races. I think you have an interesting idea, but if the lesser races become playable I’d rather anet just go the whole way and allow them to be any class.

As I’ve talked to people about ascended and legendary armor/weapons, these are the complaints I hear the most:

• “I don’t like how ascended armor looks”
• “I want a legendary (insert weapon type here) but I don’t want to wield a pony bow!”
• “I love the pony bow! I just wish there were matching pink legendary daggers in this game…”
• “I wish my mesmer had awesome pants!”
• “I wish I could find a truly epic dress”
• “I dislike all the dazzle on legendary weapons…”
• “I LOVE the dazzle on legendary weapons!”

Everyone’s got their own unique taste and style, so I thought I’d ask… what ‘legendary’ or ‘epic’ look would you like for your character?

Feel free to list as many characters as you want! What do you think would make your character look their very best? What styles of clothing are your favorite? Do you have a favorite outfit ingame? What’s on your ‘future shopping list’ for stuff you’d like to see added? Is there any NPC-only armor that would complete your character’s ‘look’?

For my mesmer and ele I’d love to have more dresses (and my guard would love more skirts, maybe like the zodiac skirt sans the blue skin). IMO a legendary dress is a full gown with flowing chiffon bits, maybe like Elsa’s ice cape. One of my favorite dresses of all time is the one I attached. Elegant with flowing pieces… I could lead armies in this dress!

Plz no more legendary stuff unless obtaining sth. legendary needs the player to actually do something legendary (and nope, endless 1-1-1-move on-1-1-1-move on-…. farming ain’t legendary at all).
Being able to obtain the top-tier items of a game by simply buying them (e.g. with gold made by TP flipping) just feels so wrong

I want legendary stuff that requires a legendary task to obtain. <3 An epic quest or something like that.

Legendary armor would have the same stats as Ascended. Not sure why that would make people with Ascended angry. They can also pursue legendary armor if they choose. I have Ascended armor and I would still pursue Legendary just because of the stat switching.
