Gold isn’t free. Like money, gold requires time and effort to acquire. Some people earn money at a far greater pace than they earn gold. Or some might simply wish to support ArenaNet through the purchase of gems. Different strokes for different folks.

My post was in response to gripes about how much “money” something costs. When in fact it doesn’t have to cost a penny. It’s misleading to say that ANet charges people X amount of $$. That’s all.

I just want commanders to be able to have a 20 man party capability (raid). The lack of interface for a “Squad” is making me.

Other than that I don’t think commanders should get special skills. That is by far not good for the game because it means 100g will get you special WvWvW skills. Lets try to improve the commanders ability in logistics and organization.

In every single game that I have played, once the dev’s started listening to advice from players as their sole direction of development the game went downhill. I know some of you will not read past that sentence and misinterpret it as an advocate to ignore feedback, which it is not, it is simply a fact that best games tend to take feedback into consideration and then do what’s best for the game! They buffed exp gain so much that the jug is just a little icing on the cake. You get 450exp for a simple tower. That’s without encountering a defender.

I tried, most of the week in EBbl, but the roaming parties you had that took our camps and towers sometimes made people not follow. So I gave up and did take mendons/anz a couple of times (while they were blue for what it’s worth).

I hope I don’t see TC again for a VERY long time. I simply dislike the server.
But I also spent over 5g in taking back towers/keep in EBBL and continously watch them be taken again. I think on Wednesday I finally learned to STOP SPENDING MONEY… cause it was really pointless.

SoS, I’m sure we will see each other again. I think SoS/KN would be a good match-up. Your prime times are similar.

I know the feel mate. I have my fair share of upgrading veloka and overlook too. With CD kicked off the map, TC’s full focus is obviously us. You have to admit that the last 2 days of holding overlook during EU prime Zombie Coast dropped a lot of bags and badges and they keep coming! It totally paid off imo.

On a serious note, CD where are you! We can share the pain together meng.

We were there today, here is how it went:
Started breakout: got wall to 30%, 60 man TC zerg comes along wipes siegerazer, and the 10 people there within minutes.

I decide a different route, build a treb at spawn and open up keep. We manage to steal it. Then we take all our towers back.
60 man TC zerg shows up with, builds golems right in front of the keep (because there’s just that many of them) takes it we couldn’t beat them back.

The said 60 man zerg takes the rest of the map shortly thereafter.
We try again… we take the keep first (same treb), and branch out to 3 more towers.
SoS zerg makes an appearance … IN OUR CORNER… we were dumbfounded, wtf was going on? You took golanta and left, we were left drooling trying to figure out wtf was that (you were kicked off the map atm).

40 man TC zerg shows up wipes the group of 8 we had at klovan, builds golems by jerrifers, proceeds to break the gate down with their head loosing a good 15 in the process because there wasno strategy, tried or anything, they just drowned us in their bodies.

We lose the map. That’s when I went home from work …

Hope that gives you an idea, 10 of us took things over and over and we were met with odds of 4 – 6 : 1

Consistently winning by 100k in T4 does suggest SoS is too large for mid tier tho.

In the pre match-up mix up phase SoS nearly gets wiped off the map during NA prime time, but wipes others off the map during off-peak hours. This is the biggest reason why they won by 100k.

If they go up against Mag/FA the same thing is bound to happen but their score would be lower slightly because of the larger NA prime time force from Fort Janthir, and harder re-capping due to more people in off-peak. They are a man in the middle due to coverage.

CD, why just why? TC takes your keep in BL, we push inner SM for 1 hour (great fight by the way TC was an honor commanding that attempt), and you get the chance to retake your keep. We are repaid by a push on our towers and camps by CD. Why? Even though we wiped you at Anz, why would you do that? Anyway great fights TC, wish we could field a zerg to do yours justice.

Several times last night I said “don’t go north or attack SoS we want them to work with us against TC”
Yet several times a group of SoS kept coming down south and resetting an upgraded Rogues camp and probing Aldons.

I gave up after the 3rd time and just told people grab what you can. Just an FYI, because we didn’t have double supply going from rogues our keep was empty when TC attacked and we couldn’t build a counter treb. So one thing led to another and we couldn’t say “don’t attack SoS” anymore after that.

As for my comments about TC that got everyone’s panties in a bunch. They are my comments, you have some feedback, whisper me, not someone else. And no, I don’t draw them back, it’s just my opinion. Could care less where everyone is now (ps I still respect AWE for working hard when outnumbered way back when), I just don’t want some servers (you know which) to pretend to be nice when past actions spoke otherwise. It’s WvW, not a family get together.

I think it’s a good thing for us to take a break (CD especially) otherwise we could grow accostumed to having even matches.

It just means you’ll miss us even more KN and YB.

Cragtop: you couldn’t build rams so you pvdoor the tower gate down with a group of 60+ players, then promptly proceed to lose 20 due to just zerging in (to a defense force of 15).
Sunny: you build a treb over the hill and open it up, then proceed to charge in and lose half of your zerg against a defending force of 15 people because you can’t use a treb to clear the arrow carts.

CD was free badges and the only thing that saved you from complete humiliation was your ability to PvD.

Either way it seems you trimmed off the excess fat so a new matchup would prolly be pretty kitten good.

Like I said, EBay has been doing the talking for the longest time. And fyi, we won the last time we met, so please leave the “free badges” talk alone.

About the TC revenge, because of guilds that abandoned CD and bailed to TC. And there is a lot. I bet it’s like 1/3 of your wvw force lol.

@ KN, good luck, maybe it’s best that you know who you have now than to wait till you stabilize then people leave. We had the same thing happen to us, a large (2nd time mind you) exodus from the server then we started stabilizing at top of t4 then another couple of guilds left.
Since then we have found a happy medium and enjoy the fights very much (found even match-ups against SBI, YB and KN now). Lets hope this continues.

if your talking about the same golem rush im thinking of I wasn’t there but heard about it.. I think we had them built and were planning the push when the build hit.. not everyone was back when the push was actually made after..

Could be, it was last night. There were 10 golems and 3 portals were dropped, for some unknown reason the portals were dropped away from the gate, we managed to get 9 down before they went the 10 feet to the gate, one was able to hit the gate once.

We knew you had a big zerg there, but no one came with the golems (just a few players). So it was lots of “wtf” and “lol” on our part.

A lot of you seem to forget that this game is not even a year old. So they do make changes (even though the first set of them took a while).

But since the game came out we have seen:
The introduction of siege skills (dynamic play came with it)
Traps (love them or hate them, they are a good tool for those that know how)
Ascended gear is finally obtainable via WvW only
Daily’s have been updated so that you don’t have to PvE for your laurel.
Rewards for defending are better.
And WvW leveling (with titles), which like it or not is a pretty substantial step into adding “progression” in the game.

here’s a guide for you to stop those camps

Walk down the stairs to the spot where you can drop siege, throw a trebuchet to the top of the stairs. Build the treb, repeat the process with 2 ballista and 2 arrow carts to defend the treb.

Take out the gate to the keep and just steal it when they are preoccupied elswhere (they won’t defend that gate 24/7 and you only need 5 to kill lord and cap).

There’s been a lot of people trying hard in CD. The arrival of KWBH did help a bit for morale and the new system/ascended gear helped everyone I would hope. We want to win this matchup, badly. And there’s no more satisfying way to do it than in a close tight fight.

To those unsung heroes that defend the caravan, yay.

Also I had such a good laugh about the 10 golem rush by YB last night. I know you guys must’ve been mad, credit goes to great scouting we had. After that the huge YB zerg just left, which is the goal in defense anyways.

As for Maguuma, great roamers so in that respect I get to have fun because I roam a lot, but overall I don’t care too much for the match up since Maguuma just trolls a bunch and that’s what they are famous for. Kind of sad because they are also the result of some of the best fights but their mouth is by far their biggest weapon.

As for the remainder of the 2 days… We expect YB to push hard before the reset, but we are prepared to defend this lead and win the week.

I posted the one Altie quoted, but yea you’re dead on kain regulars didn’t want us playing much for PPT so we’re really out there begging for open field fights, thank you to any and every group that has given it a go this week. Whether we wipe the enemy or get wiped by them it’s what we want right now. Teaches us to be even closer together and work on whatever happens to make ourselves better overall. Also thanks should go out to you guys for being respectful so far on forums in the matchup thread when you do get loot bags from us. Cheers to our Yaks and CD opponents, hope you all had as much fun as we did this week.

Most cd players were having fun (albeit some were just outright perplexed) with those fights.

In any case we are having loads of fun. There’s a push for us to try to win this week after a month or so of downtime where we couldn’t match SoS’ large oceanic zergs. Now when the numbers are more even people are tempted to play. And it feels good to exact a little revenge for many I’m sure.
If you remember KN had a superserver just as CD had lost half of it’s WvW population, so we were subject to 2 week long beating.

We really gave an effort to make Kaineng our home, but it wasn’t meant to be. On that note did not quite a few kain enjoy the ride I seem to remember that being the case. On another note, we were asked to not play for PPT much for this matchup. It seems Kaineng is just fine without the two guilds they feared leaving would plummet them down to T8. For those staying on Kaineng do not sell yourselves short by giving away a matchup, you only know where you really belong by coming out and fighting regardless of the situation.

I was puzzled all week by what you guys were doing (especially when you were in cdbl). I kept thinking this makes no sense, their zig zags, turning, no real push on the gate, they are just bleeding people until the ultimate wipe.

Now I realize why the loosing tactic. You are in there just for the fight. Sadly that means the side with most perseverance will win, and we are playing hard this week. The entire server is trying to pull together to win this week.

Wherever you go, I wish you luck. You have decent organization and nice open field fighting form. And if it’s on CD, I’m going to troll the guardian commander that you have for running constantly. I mean HOW DO YOU GET TO TAKE YOUR BADGES kitten .

This week’s matchups are totally going to be destroyed due to this bug. No defensive/offensive siege (except for golems) means numbers = victory.

On CD we can’t build siege at all. EB borderlands is the main culprit.

You can still make Golems but nothing else. something is majorly broken since Monday’s patch.

I know Durios/Bravost are some of the easiest towers to take in the game, but RESIST!

@SoS, we don’t fight only as outnumbered, case in point CD keep in EB yesterday. Took over 4 hours of attacking from you guys to finally take it with a huge force.

I’m having fun, people can say whatever they want about stale matchups etc, but the fact is this may be the most even fight we can have at the moment. The chances of that hapening after the reset will nearly disappear, so enjoy it while you can.

P.S. bring it, I’m on track for my 30kills per 1death ratio this week. I welcome tries to ruin that.
