there are 3 locations I would find logical:
Isles of Janthir, in case of Lazarus
Rings of Fire (obviously)
and further north of the Bitterfrost Frontier.
About the B-Frontier, I don’t think we will go there in episode 5, but rather, episode 6.
I think episode 5 will be a white mantle aftermath and some secondary trouble, and at the end we’ll hear that Braham has gone north.
Here is the link to all of the “eaters” or converters as they are known…
The Herta one seems the easiest…so maybe I’ll try that one.
But the others…I don’t even want to try after looking up the recipes… and the effort needed to get them.
Mawdrey will take a little time, but since the spores became worthless this one became sooo cheap to make…
I do would like to see a raid implemented in the next expansion as part of the story. And now, before you jump your guns, yes, it should have a story mode, and a solo mode.
That, or story mode and raid mode, where in raid mode all the dialogue and cutscenes are left out.Frozen Citadel W1: Halls of the Patient
Frost Goliath (A giant beast)
Shaman of Frost, Hail and Snow (The three shamans fighting in conjunction)
Spirit of Boar (Corrupted spirit of the wild)Frozen Citadel W2: The Claim of the Forgotten
Behemoth (A norn who, during the LS, recollected the Fang of the Serpent, and merged with it)
Yassith the Tainted (from the item set)
Event Boss: Rescue Braham (someone needs to change his diaper)
Voice of the Cold Mourning (kodan)Frozen Citadel W3: The Great Span
(second) Claw of Jormag (like a mini dragon)
Borje Sunstrider (Braham’s papa)
Jormag, The Dwarf of the North (a homunculus body jormag made so he could interact with the spirits of the wild)
Jormag, The Elder Dragon (the big baddy)Whats the difference between what you are suggestion and “Heart And Mind” Hot last chapter?
None, the moment you make it “solo” or easy story, its not a raid anymore, its a story content, or solo content.
Raid is group challenge content.
You want more story and solo content, you dont want raid.
So stop asking for “solo raid” because that is the same of asking for “PvP that you only fight npcs” its dont make sense.
I don’t want a solo raid, I’m offering it as an alternative, or extra, to my original suggestion: a story mode raid, with a hard-mode raid version (without all the cutscenes and dialogue) for LI’s. it is my belief that a one person instance for an elder dragon is just silly. We fought the No Life Dragon with an entire pact fleet. We fought the King of the Jungle in his mind, so a small group made some sense.
But whatever we get for Primordus, Jormag, and Kralkalakkra should be something group-ish and big-ish. And I think the current model used for raids is just fine for that. We can have a normal version with dialogue and cutscenes for the story. Then a hard mode version without all that, for people who want to do it like the real raids, and a one-person mode to make all the whiny no-friends people who don’t know what LFG is be quiet about it..

What is KP?
If it is the special decoration item dropped by each bosses, then I might have messed.
KP = Kill Proof
Can be guild decorations, minis, titles, special items, boss specific weapons and armor etc.
Things that prove you have beaten a boss.
yea, and the reason they are worth more than LI is because
Someone with 50 LI can have never beaten a specific boss
but someone with 15 KP has beaten a specific boss 3 to 15 times (since drop rate is random 1-5)
There is one exception which is the Bandit Triate, which doesn’t drop any KP.
so every boss drops 1LI, and 1-5KP, and the KP part is specific per boss, so it’s a much better measurement of experience. Use them to fill up the lack of LI.
When i do VG, I rather have someone with 10LI, and 15 Vale Guardian fragments, than someone with 50LI and 0 Vale Guardian Fragments

Anyone with half a brain and little bit of experience knows that most MMOs have both better quality and better speed than Anet has. If there’s any doubt, just pick up FF14 for a few months. So all of these “take forever so it can be more polished” arguments are kittenhit.
As for mounts, yes I do think they are very attractive to the majority of MMO players as they are an attractive collection item while also adding immersion to the setting. I’m not sure what’s so extravagant about them, considering nearly every other MMO has them. I would wager my life that they generate more interest and revenue than they cost to produce in virtually all cases. I would actually take the argument even further and state that the fact that GW2 launched without them did damage to the game that it may never recover from.
Anyone with half a brain would have half-thoughts like that. Luckily. Most people here have whole brains. I never said anet was the fastest or best producer. But wanting to be better doesn’t actually make them better. And mounts work in other games because they’re the transport mechanics of that game. We have a different transport mechanic so mounts are superfluous.
And the fact that you believe that this game failed solely because it has no mount shows how little worth there is in arguing you anymore. So my only advice so you is.. go play a game with mounts if that’s more important than contentThat doesn’t mean they dont need to increase productivity and fracly mounts are content the process of colecting them takes time, time that ppl won’t complain for the lack of content. And who know maybe the new maps will be huge with like 2 wp only there mounts will make sense.
yes, cye back to one of my earlier posts, I am fine with logical mounts. That is for example, we go to the Desolation, and we ride the Junundu Wurms again. but then they would be a mastery, and a local mount. Those I would be fine with since it would be an actual game mechanic.
If not, I could recommend you invest a little time into getting eaters.
There are a few REALLY easy/cheap eaters, and they cane at your components away and you get a few crafting mats or money in return. Which is worth more than destruction.
But you could also just dump the 500 thats in your bank, and click store everytime you find time.. you know.. destroy them in bulk :p
but you can’t turn them into currencies because you need them as physical items for crafting
How about a DWARF race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dwarves may have been extinct ages ago but who really knew!!!!
They managed to survive in that NEW expansion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to pop your bubble, but they are The Great Dwarf now. Until the dragons are defeated and (if) they return to normal, they won’t be a playable race. There are a few dwarves out there, simply because they can help better supporting the fight against the dragon on the sideline, rather than the frontline, like Ogden
if they make 3 new classes they will still have to make an elite spec for those as well. No thank you, let’s just stick with the elite specs

Im very dissapointed they gated this reveal behind the kitten ed raid, they could and honestly should have made this part of living story.
But now its finally done and honestly im at least glad to see the return of Tyria’s most nameworthy antagonists.
I do “hope” if they are returning that we will see the mantle’s full might at its recovered state and the mursaat at their full power once more.
What made the Mursaat interesting as antagonists is that hteir motive was not as clear cut as good or evil, they were afraid of humanity and attempted to rule it to prevent themselves being wiped out by it in the first place.
In the end it created a self-forfilling prophecy that lead to their doom, they are preservational antagonists and unlike most villians that makes them interesting in the fact their main goal, is survival at any cost.
Trust me. You see nothing in the raids but an empty stasis chamber. All raiders had was that they knew a Mursaat was revived a few weeks before the rest of you did. There’s nothing raiders know more than you do now. It was a preview or teaser at best. A prologue if you will
I Also pugged most of my LI here some advice:
1- if you don’t have an ascended set, Just buy a full magi exotic ecquipment for your druid.
In most encounter magi druid is Just the easier class to play, you don’t have to care about nothing if not heal teammates and place spirits.2 Then as people said before start with easier encounter. Watch videos in YouTube about the encounter you have to do, with possibly the PoV of your class. Also read guides if possible, so you can know things that maybe you don’t see in the video.
3 Try to always to be in the same pixel of where other people are.
4- Just don’t lie about your LI or your experience… If people Ask you to ping don’t use fake codes, Just be honest. People tend to kick liers and are more incline ti accept someone that is honest
5- Once you get a decent experience on some encounter and you are confident with them, buy a tag a make your own groups. People usually never Ask for the Commander to ping Kp or LI. But again, do it if you are confident with the encounter, basically because is not a nice thing make other people carry you while them expect you to bè good, and aslo because if people spot you are inexperienced they Will leave the group or kick you next time they see you.
Is like to amend to that. It worked out really great for me when I had very little LI. I told them “he . I only have 10 LI, but I am a quick learner” or “I already killed it once before” especially when you’re low on LI save your KP’s. They’re a valuable interchange. 1 KP is worth more than 30 LI
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say it was the advanced society of skritt that one day fell to ruin

FF14: ARR came out a year later and releases a 2nd expansion this summer…
Just to make people feel how extremely slow anet is. I lost motivation after a couple of months after HoT and I don’t bother to log in anymore because I am so bored (and some great games coming out the past months).
They need to learn that a steady stream of content is needed to keep players coming online. Why they only think they have to reinvent the wheel with new ‘concepts’ etc. is beyond my comprehension. People just want cool and meaty content like dungeons (non-gimmicky like Aetherpath). They just need to gaze upon their ex-company Blizzard to know how you do things.
Generalize much?
“People” want different things. Different players, different expactaitions.
Im perfectly fine with the speed we are getting new things.
New maps, new and revamped fractals, new raids, new story stuff, new pvp seasons, new legendaries, etc.Im glad they try out new stuff. If i wanted the same ol’ same ol’ – there are plenty of other games that deliever that.
You are in the minority. Anet releases new content much, much slower than virtually every other MMO ever, including ones that make less money. I have no idea why, but it’s a problem they need to get a better handle on.
I think mounts need to happen, FYI. I don’t think any argument against them really holds much water at the end of the day, and they are one of many peoples’ favorite collection items in other MMOs. They will bring in more money for the game than they will cost to make.
Your weird argument for production speed aside, how in the blazes is wasting hundreds and thousands of resources on making mounts, for which there is absolutely no practical use ingame, going to generate more income for anet? You really think a large enough playerbase is going to spend a lot of money on mounts to justify the massive production cost it’s going to take? I’ll get that there will be a few people who will buy mounts, but by far not enough to justify to the production cost. If anet had resources for extravagant things like mounts, don’t you think the regular content would’ve been a lot faster?
And your other thing, how is he in the minority? yes, I heard a lot of people saying they can’t wait for the next LS chapter, or the next expansion, but impatience doesn’t equate the belief that anet is too slow. I think you’re in the minority when you complain about anet’s production speed. I think the majority of the people here want complete content, rather than rushed content. I think that argument was settled after the release of HoT, which was clearly rushed because of impatient people. It was a complete broken mishap of an expansion. Only in the several patches after did it become a respectable expansion. Now people are more than willing to wait a little longer to get such a good expansion on the first day.
(edited by Amaimon.7823)
you can earn a maximum of 13LI/week (not per account since you can’t share them).
Now, some bosses are easier than others, but they’re all designed for an organizer group, and not a PUG, so I will try to list them in order of difficulty (when played with an organized group)
Escort
Vale Guardian
Gorseval
Cairn
Mursaat Overseer
Trio
Sloth
Samarog
Keep Construct
Xera
Sabetha
Deimos
Matthias
(This is a personal order of difficulty, others may experience it differently, but it gives a rough edge. if you start at the top of this list you should be able to get a solid 5 LI/week)
Necro if you want to be good at all those things and have fun.
Thief is you want to be hated by everyone
you know, WP just did a video about how nothing until now seems to no point in taking us to the crystal desert (which would make actually going there all the greater).
Better yet, all story points seem to take us further away from the crystal desert
The development time and costs that could be used for more relevant content to GW2. Also there’s no place for them because waypoints exist and nullify the need for mounts.
If you feel that GW2 NEEDS mounts, explain why. Otherwise it’s just a want.
I don’t want to answer to the other stuff because I find this discussion pretty exhausting, but I’ll answer this point:
The time to develop mounts is zero. They have the models already in game. They just need to make them available as mounts. I am pretty sure they could do all that work within a week, if they really want to. They don’t need running animations, they don’t need models, they don’t need some special stuff, it’s all there in game right now.
And I already said why I think GW2 needs mounts.
No, you’ve already said why you want mounts, not why we need it.
And the fact that you said it only takes 1 week to add mounts to this game, simply because the models exist ingame, proves that you have zero understanding of how this all works. You seem to think model a exists, and model b exists, so like lego I can stack them on top of each other?
Do you also think “I have a ball of fire, and I have a food, poof, I’m a sous chef”?
Upon respawn after a /gg I found myself in the eaten state (I didn’t die by getting eaten, though).
And an infinite amount of trying to break free didn’t help..
Also, do daily Tequatl and get gold on 2, and silver on a third turret (you might be able to get 3 golds, but thats rather tricky)
Right, the bonus chests at the end are worth about 15k alone. (I didn’t mention it because it’s hard to farm an event that only takes place a few times a day.)
I think 1 gold medal is what? 3-4k?
so you might net 8-10k every defense phase if you’re not slacking (not sure on the numbers, though)
The argument of mounts ‘might’ have worked in gw1, since that one had the ideology of waypoints that we have now, but only restricted to a few zones every 2 or 3 maps apart, instead of 20-30 in every map
Oh, okay. I don’t have any problems with any of your uploaded pictures. No errors whatsoever. So that’s good. =)
they do seem to work fine for me, too.. hmm.. okay, oh well, more windows for the devs to look through
Also, do daily Tequatl and get gold on 2, and silver on a third turret (you might be able to get 3 golds, but thats rather tricky)
Do you mean the OP? Or something else?
I get no errors looking at any of your screenshots.
I uploaded a picture in the OP, but if I click it I get an HTML screen with some weird texts.
The second picture below it, and the one right above your message seem to work fine
Mounts. I just want Mounts as a feature. And the new Elite specializations for sure.
Why do you want mounts, though, we have waypoints?
I can see some instances we could get a mount:
Junundu Wurms in the Desolation
Siege Golems
Charr Siege
Aurene
And these mounts would be instance , zone, or event- specific, not general open world mounts
look.. the issue is with you here. “don’t like people, don’t go outside”.. I mean.. you can’t force others not to link. I mean, I get why it would annoy you, but annoyance isn’t really a foundation of a restriction. You can turn of the map chat if you don’t want people pinging their loots.
I absolutely hate the SAB musics and sounds, but I can’t do more than just turn of player instruments and the like. You just gotta deal with it
okay, for some weird reason opening the picture in the main topic takes you to a html error screen…
But, on the other hand, we know those five weren’t the only ones- they were just one alliance. The kodan were around back then too, and the djinn, and there is some evidence to suggest the tengu as well.
There are plenty of reasons to doubt a connection between tengu and mursaat, but the timeline isn’t one of them.
But I don’t think Djinn count as a race, aren’t they more of the peak of evolution when it comes to elementals?
Raid? Naw. When you’re liable to be kicked for the slightest misstep? You need to follow a commander? Not a chance.
When I signed up for the Army, I raised my right hand and swore to follow orders, ( among other things.) This is a game I play for fun.
Sure, it must be fun for “commander high muckety muck” but I’m not a follower and I don’t see a big enough payoff to be worth allowing myself to be used that way.
Have you tried joining a guild who raids for fun? I can recommend RTI, very social
so warriors are too strong
guardians are too sturdy
mesmers are too annoying
thieves are to immortal
rangers are too un-melee’ble
revnants are.. wait.. when was the last time I saw a rev in pve or pvp??
engineers are annoying when they’re shrunk, but otherwise dealable with
incomming: new class: the grey blob
1 attack
2 power attack
3 retaliation attack
4 knockback
5 condition spam wave
6 heal, stealth, stability and 50 clones
7 group support
8 self support
9 enemy weakening
0 sets your team score back to 0
it was a popular speculation that 5 and 6 will be a fire and ice theme again, and 7 will be about preparing for war with jormordus, and then the expansion.
My personal (hopeful) thought is that primordus is way stronger than we thought, and he kills jormag, but then absorbs the entirety of the magic nuke
If the password is correct, and saved, then it’s probably the “issue with the connectivity / firewall settings” part of the message that applies, not the “incorrect password” part.
https://www.pingplotter.com/fix-your-network is a good guide to figuring out where network issues are happening, which is what is suggested by the error message.
no, really, I get the error “incorrect login credentials” when logging in with saved credentials.
SW never died, it was just the behemoth that is Auric Basin that loomed for a long time. Now that the Auric Basin is as useless as the other HoT maps, SW is pretty active again.
I’ve always liked the idea my PC’s from GW1 became Exalted. I’m sure there’s all sorts of reasons to disprove that theory, but it feels like a fitting end to some of their stories.
I think that’s not entirely impossible, but nothing to support it either.. I guess you’re free to go with it for now
it was easy for me
but instead of complaining like a shotgun, how about you tell us the exact problem, and we can help you
I like your imagination, but no, there are really no ties like that.
And exalted aren’t necessarily ‘good’ people, just people who worked and agreed with Glint’s methods, so more ‘just’ people in that sense.
Mursaat are as old as the other elder races
you.. eh.. might wanna delete this topic before a dev sees it..
you’re kinda.. breaking TOS.. for your own good
We have both LA, the old in the PS and the new in open world. So, no problem.
You do realize it’s like 99.9% gone? you only get to see it during the meeting of DE, and maybe 5 minutes if you chose order of whispers as a base group to support
And it seems a dev changed the title of the topic…
I just got something in my eye, that’s all.
I really miss Lion’s Arch. I thought it was a great city, always, but truly fell in love with it after I read Seas of Sorrows, it truly reflected Cobiah Marriner.
After replaying a PS, I was brought back to this wonderful plaza, in the city that once was Lion’s Arch. I can’t help but wonder if Cobiah would’ve approved of this, had he been around to cast his vote.
Anyway, HERE’S TO YOU, COBIAH!
(I really thought this song is a proper homage to him)
We know for a fact that mesmers warp reality, not just the perception of it. Our illusions are also real, taking real damage and dealing real damage (specifically talking about clones and phantasms). The tower of nightmares was surrounded by an invisible wall that physically stopped people from going into the lake. Everything Xera does, like really, everything. Portal spells don’t simply give you the illusion of being in another place, they physically transport you there. Gravity well doesn’t give the enemy the illusion that they’re floating off the ground, they are being physically lifted. Tides of time physically stops people mid action, sometimes in mid air. Everything continuum split does.
There’s very real evidence that mesmers warp reality, including time itself. They DO deal with the mind, illusions and other stuff, but they also have very real powers over reality.
Here’s an excerpt from the mesmer description from the original Guild Wars:
“Mesmers are masters of illusion and control, subverting the enemy’s Energy for their own use, and that of their allies. Combined with any other profession, their skills provide excellent support, turning enemies’ powers against them and changing the very fabric of reality to hinder foes and help allies.”
So we have every reason to believe that chronomancers really do mess with time itself, not just the perception of time.
Yes, but even though it’s warped, it revers. We know this from Glenna’s dialogue after Xera, she says it’s going to take a looong time before the castle returns to normal
I wouldn’t expect it until after the PvP season.
why? since when do either team wait for the other to finish? they’re two different game modes, bud
I’m not your bud.
Warrior is broken and that’s a fact. No need to go to arguments, proof is right in front of everyone’s eyes. All warrior builds for spvp must have defense line, all will have at least one stance (berserker or endure pain) most often two.
If a class is OP with certain set of skills, and total trash without it, than we call that a poor design. Take a look at necro – say what you want about it, but i don’t recall any skill on his bar being “have or die” skill. Necro has some actual choices, maybe few that are trash (shadow fiend + signet of undeath) but none being “do or die”.
You’ve never actually played with, or against, a warrior, have you?
“no need to bring in arguments”
your charisma check is so low there’s no point in rolling the dice.
“warrior is broken and that is fact” but no need to actually bring in facts… right…Macebow and GS/Mace Burst are the most played warriors pvp build.
They uses the same traits.
Their 6-0 skills are at 80% the same.I think that warriors it’s the only profession using the same traits for both condi and power build.. maybe it’s because picking those traits warriors can
TRAITS
*Gain all the damaging boons (fury, might, quickness, retaliation)
*Have a good self heal (Adrenal Health and Healing Signet aren’t the guilty, take a look to Dead or Alive, the built in cousin of A.E.D.)
*A pulsing and non-pulsing condition immunity (you can heal without fear poison)
*A trait that let you run faster and break immobilize on some weapon’s skill
*Cleanse very often
*A passive stun break that let you ignore physical damage while beign capable to fight back
*Gaining Stability every time you break a stunWEAPONS SKILL
*Many stun/daze/block
*High damage
*Good mobilityMaybe someone dump charisma, but this could be called a warriorzilla build.
you forgot the cons,
-very vulnerable to CC, all the good heals are interuptable
-many stuns/dazes/blocks don’t land because decent pvp’ers have stability or blocks
-good mobility, except against other non-warriors, due to the spammable knockdowns, chills, slows, criples, etc from all the other classes
-cleanse very often.. maybe with a trait that hits every half minute.. which is practically not
-gain all the damaging buffs, sure, but what does that matter if 90% of the good pvp’ers can make no hits land. woohooo, you did 50% more damage, 0+50%=0
One of them is left over from this event: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Beacons_of_Kryta
One is left over from this: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Reliquary or this: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Resealing_the_Bloody_Prince (I don’t remember which one, if we ever knew.)
The other Divinity’s Reach one is likely also from Queen’s Jubilee; it’s just been so long I don’t remember, exactly, where each event took place.
Good luck.
If the problem is identified, repodrucable, and specific.. then anet should’ve no problem to have it fixed by the next patch notes?
Hello, AN,
Since about a week or two as a I noticed it, there have been some bugs with the login screen. Sometimes I can log in just fine, but more than half the times I need several tries. And the errors I get are strange.
Either it says the password was incorrect, or there is an issue with the connectivity/firewall-settings.
I tried reinstalling the game but that doesn’t seem to fix it.
And it’s really strange for me to get the “password is incorrect” error when I use the password save setting on the login screen.
Edit: added an error screenshot:
played this morning. Logged in (in one go) and did dailies. Logged out, went for lunch. Came back, logged back in using the saved credentials from “remember password and username” and get this error screen. This means that even though the correct password is in the box, the system thinks there’s something wrong with it. And I never had this issue until the SAB patch (which increases my loathe for it)
(edited by Amaimon.7823)
Dont know how related, but since for a year or two there have been event markers inside Divinity’svReach as well. One in the grenths plaza, one ar melandru’s and one in the garden-stellarium
Every time I ran into one of those (that is, those specific locations, in that specific city), it was a rift to stabilize. I’d suggest you check it out, but if you do find one that isn’t right, /bug it in-game, so that anet QA get the details they need to figure it out.
I really wish the rift event icons only showed up if you had the Rift Stabilizer in your inventory. The “nearby event” guide is pretty useless right now.
I do not disagree with you, as someone who has the item. I am pretty confident that the engine does not have the capability to do what you are asking, however, so it’s technically not practical.
I do make a practice of explaining as patiently as I can on the map what is going on, if people mention it, though. Which is to say, until someone insists that this isn’t the situation, which gets kind of frustrating, especially if they refuse to help out by actually letting me come to them and verify that there, y’know, isn’t a rift there.
The markers have been there for well over a year now (the two I mentioned in DR), they’re not in any way related to a recent living world patch..
