Well, granted, it is a bit messy, but see, once we kill and/or eliminate (with extreme righteous prejudice) all the “bad elements” then at that time, Tyria will truly know peace and unity. That’s the plan anyway. Just like the real world, really.
The Nightmare Court speaks to the conceit underlying “the Dream”.
After all, “Everything has a right to grow”…
lmao.
Reminds me of this one;
I’d say, wait with spending, keep,at least half your gems.
Some things worth buying may be infinite tools, copper salvage kit, extra slots of various kinds, but the expantion will most likely have mount skins, wait for that, too
Zojja: “you are 74.3% of the pacts’ firepower”
Arkk: “given your tenacity for destroying things your odds of survival are greater than zero”
We storm into Flame Legion, Inquest, Centaur, Quaggan camps, slaughtering all the things for no other reason than we disagree with their existence and they have nice loot.
This logic is one courtroom away from being locked away in gw2’s variant of an asylum. Are we Tyria’s future?
Should we replace Balthazar like Kormir replaced Abaddon it’d surely be the end of the world
Does race even matter?
We abandoned our krewe, our warband, norn dont care about the hunt, sylvari abandoned their wyld hunt, and humans.. well.. royal or born on the streets, when was the last time you met with your friends?
You know, i made up an elite spec a while ago for mesmers, based on the Nightmare Spores of season 1:
Besides Cryophobia, Hemophobia, i added Arachnophobia, a bunch of spiders only the victim can see and target, and they inflict poison, torment and cripple
Um, that’s what “extra” means — that they are surplus to requirements (although you do get an AP each, so they aren’t worthless). Adding a sink for them would mean putting more pressure on players to get every last one. That’s counter to ANet’s intent — they just added 9 points to core Tyria specifically to reduce pressure.
Precisely true and I’m very grateful they added those 9 points. The lack of or difficulty in getting Mastery Points was a very common complaint about the Mastery system. The key thing to remember here is that they are not a currency in the same way that Hero Points are not a currency.
The danger of turning them into a currency is that once they give people the ability to spend them then ArenaNet will never be able to add another Mastery that requires those Points, it effectively ends that entire Mastery system. Now, they probably never will add another HoT or Core Tyria Mastery (at least not without adding a bunch of new Points) but at least they keep the option.
That is assuming anet will ever add more HoT masteries which I profoundly doubt.
I have zero reason to believe that there will ever be more HoT masteries, HoT and LS3 are done, we go to the CD with elonian mastery points now.You must have missed the part where I said “they probably never will add another HoT or Core Tyria Mastery”.
I’m co-confirming that.
So the whole argument of being careful with leftover HoT MP’s is kinda quaggan to me.
When will they learn that nobody wants outfits.
Maybe when you learn not to use exaggeration and hyperbole. Neither seems likely.
Fyi, “Nobody wants outfits.” is not a true statement. You can only speak for yourself.
Nobody doesn’t want outfits maybe a handful of people,
most people dislike outfits because it restricts mix ’n matching with other armors

Maybe Zhaitan could dominate Palawa Joko, I don’t know, I don’t see a reason why not, but Zhaitan never had the chance to corrupt Palawa Joko.
I assume Zhaitan would have to fly personally to Elona to corrupt Palawa Joko if it was possible to do it himself, minions were just fodder. Either Zhaitan didn’t care or he couldn’t
For the hunter’s board to not restrict the items to the one specifically chosen type of trophy, but rather, to randomly accept all of them unless disabled.
Right now, for example, I would be fine with a randomly mixed pool of totems, dusts and venom sacs.
Especially when you’re not gathering 1 specific thing it’s nice to have a slow drizzle of mixed ingredients which will pile up over the months.
And maybe, since the board was already so expensive, have weekly hunter’s fest, like, every sunday, getting a bigger bag? (or is that just me being greedy?)
….
Guys
Guys
Hear me out….
A Bear
No wait, wait,
Guys…
A Bear…. with a Canadian cape giving you a 380% speed boost
Yes:
Junundu Wurms; specifically for the sulphurous wastes
Golems; slow, meant to carry heavy stuff
Arachnea; has a single shot of that Druids Touch
Devourer; just looks cool
Dolyak; traverse rough terrain
Absolutely not:
Aurene: she’s special, no one wants 50 Aurenes in every city. Plus she’s gonna be huge in the future
Horses: no, just no
I made this suggesting before, but many people seem convinced we should keep the surplus for potential future heart of thorns masteries. I honestly don’t believe that.
Out you finished all the HoT masteries the points are basically dead. Why not reward the players who went the extra few miles and create a vendor with non-essential loot? But make sure access is restricted to people who completed the masteries to avoid accidental over spending
This I could totally accept because it is lore and immersion friendly. We use a similar system already in dry top.
no.. just.. no..
thats not what the zephyrites do at all..
they pray to the winds, the sun, and the storm, and in turn, they can tap into that power, and they shared that magic with us by imbuing crystals for us. We can’t carry a stockpile of sun, wind and storm crystals with us everywhere we go.
As you can see the hair is visually in front of the beard. Exactly how this works I’m not sure, but I’m quite sure the eternal alchemy doesn’t allow for this kind of hair
Forum bug or antagonism?
I’ll still be grinding gold for the next few months because someone at anet thought it was a good idea to have 6 gifts of totem necessary for legendary armour. So far the only thing that’s legendary about this crafting process is its bill.
As for the rest, finishing HoT collections, achievements and getting into wvw.. who’d have thought wvw commanders were more toxic than the pvp lobby
I’m going to guess we’ll have a desolation related mastery as well, since only the margonites, undead, and the Junundu wurms can survive in the sulphorous wastes.
SAB skin mounts?
Are you serious?
My soul is still being pierced by the absolute cringe that is the SAB gliders, and the SAB music in WvW. If I ever see an SAB mount i’ll be this close to throwing my pc out of the window and run naked on the streets yelling SAB! SAB!
I would pay a thousand gems for anet NOT to make anything more SAB related stuff in the open world. In fact, I’ll do you one better. ill buy 3 deluxe games for the poor sobs of the game if anet removes the SAB gliders and wvw music
There is literally nothing else than ruins my enjoyment of the game quite like that cringy attempt at that… that… thing…

Its 20 euros combined with PoF
Ah yes, the desert dwelling, nomadic Norn, who fared well in the crystal desert. Youre absolutely right
/sarcasm off
I get your argument, other races feel left out, but in all honesty, humans have been the most neglected race since core game. We didnt even have beards between a clean shave and hobo-santa until now.
You were fine until now with the current amount of faces, Imthink you’ll continue to be fine. And maybe they will add a few more faces for the other races as well, the expansion isnt out yet
Ideas for raids could be
Balthazar’s domain
Primeval Tombs
A region of the Desolation
A fallen (burnt by Balthy) city/settlement
I agree, the armor looks sasly simple compared to the gw1 sunspears. Even caravan guards in gw1 had more detail
If the elder dragon of the oceans really domains fear/terror, its not unthinkable he corrupted the ministry or purity, or the empress herself, to rule over cantha..
Just a shower thought, mind you
I mean, i know where you’re coming from. Being old for the sake of being old is not right. That said there’s a difference between a modern trade hub city and a paved parking lot or dried up pool of concrete.
Look at divinity reach. 97.3% stone , bustling with life.
While lions arch is 103.6% concrete and has one or two lost merchants and one ship in the dock that’s 24/7 stuck in loading phase
I wad kind of thinking lately and is there any source of music besides the giant device in DR and lady Wi’s practice behind a closed door?
You’d think there’d be street musicians in DR, or Sylvari exploring the great art of music, or the Charr rolling their drums of war. Not even the flutes of the Norn make a sound.
Was there never any time or resources to make the most basic level of music? For some reason it feels there is a huge piece of “living world” music basically because music next to doesn’t exist in tyria
Potatoes on FIIYAAAAAH!!!
the problem is.. THERE ISN’T EVEN A LION’S ARCH IN IT.
It’s all marine statues..
What does the king of the hunt have to do with deepsea crustaceaons and squids
(re: from wong forum section)
So, as we all know LA got desroyed by Scarlet a long time ago. Then there was a bit of a clean-up, and then they removed all rubble and waste and paved the place with a basement concrete. but for some reason, anet has stopped there. We’re still at the concrete basement level, they have yet to actually rebuild lions arch.
The only thing they rebuild.. or rather.. built at all, is the aerodome. The rest are just mockery marine creatures serving as temporary buildings until the real lions arch gets rebuild.
Any news on when thats happening? LA feels so dead, and empty, as it is now. Like standing on a parking lot at disney world.
We miss the arches and fountains with the lions, we miss the council buildings, we miss streets bustling with life, with traders and merchants, harbors of ships coming and leaving.
It’s been quite a while, surely anet must’ve finished their plans and designing for the restoration of Lions Arch??
(ps, this is not a serious topic, this is a topic to let anet know that LA still needs a lot of work before we can consider it officially rebuilt)
Because.. thats something you usually reserve for the announcement??
What company releases the name of their of their game before te official announcement?
The youtube video of Dulfy already contains a top comment crosslinking Anets and Dulfy’s numbering.
Here, top comment
It doesnt need better ingame explanation. You got through the bloodstone fen, didnt you? You got through to bitterfrost frontier, didnt you? I think most mechanica have been pretty self explanatory. And honestly, this gama ecould use a few more fights where you have to figure out what to do.
Notice that the ghosts spite give you cooldown extentions.
The doppelganger gains buff when you hit him unstunned.
And breaking the spirits meaning overcoming your inner demons and turning the, into strengths instead
Funny thing, I accidentally cleared this puzzle the first time by lighting all pods.. when she got shocked and fell over.. I thought I actually killed her..
Then I remember the new anet doesnt use fail conditions in story mode, so you cant lose or fail no matter how you play
Managed to do this with condi reaper, and some strong condi food.
The general idea is.. leak his breakbar, until you’re certain it’s gonna break in like 2 seconds.
Then place the two big condi-fields, and just wait, rinse and repeat, survive inbetween, I didn’t even use any basic attacks. Alternate with the reapers flash-frost and fear
I died by a lava elemental fire pool, but now, everytime I resurrect I am ablaze, I get 10 stacks of burning every second, meaning I can’t leave any waypoint. No mather where I go, I even get reactions from people in divinity’s reach about this burning.. tried returning to character select but Im still burning…..
-please.. help??-
Edit: rebooting the game didnt fix it, but for some reason it randomly stopped after a while.
(edited by Amaimon.7823)
so.. heading to the Sopor Titanium (where I died because of a phantom no-fly zone halfway the JP) I got stuck in one of the geyser launchers..
so yea.. I’ve been spinning for a good few minutes here
its as hilarious as it looks but please, send help

>> i also like to think this trend is to prepare us for future maps with only cornerstone waypoints
With the free armor repairs there were effectively no punishments for death anymore. Reducing the amount of waypoints will inceease the value of not dying. And firce players to learn how to travel.
I saw a reduced number of waypoints on the leaked maps as well, so I think its preparation. Small maps with waypoints, transit to big maps with few waypoints.
I can guarantee you, without this transition the forums will light ablaze with people ranting about few waypoints on future maps
(edited by Amaimon.7823)
Minion builds dont work, since their hits also stack resistance. Burst condi’s, during the broken breakbar and just run around inbetween
Feathers? You mean the strips of leather/cloth that end in blund cut shapes and not feather-shaped at all?
Looked at all his pictures there are, nothing even remotely looks like a feather..
Elementalist: Baelfire. He almost ascended to godhood. No need to elaborate further
On the aspect of fire, of course, trouble with elementalists is that the four schools are vastly different. no doubt Baelfire peaks on fire, if don’t take Rodgort into acount. We know too little of Rodgort to consider him a valid candidate, though.
Water/Ice elementalist I know not any significant elementalists, but Zojja is probably a high ranked air elementalist, as for earth.. I’m calling the late centaur shaman, I feel like he could’ve ascended to godhood like baelfire did, if he was given the same resources
no guarantees, but I honestly doubt we enter through the gate, at least, not the first time. It makes more sense to take a blip to Vabbi, specifically, the oasis harbor
Why does every dev decide for themself whether or not they implement reset nodes at story instances? why isn’t it broadly implemented?
Many achievements are hidden behind hours of dialogue and cutscenes, and when you mess up, you do the entire thing again.
In most cases, the resetting is (should be) quite easy to implement.
example: Balthazar’s Fire Chamber
Reset node: resets floor to first pattern, resets all pillars. done
Its not like the magma elementals are necessary content. Theyre titans (not literally) meant to be either avoid, or challenged, but definetely not hunter by the average joe.
And its nothing new, many games have titans that are just mobs meant to be avoided, but can be fought by experienced people.
look at what happened to tribune Rytlock when he stepped out of line fight Mordremoth instead of following his duty, he was escorted back to the citadel for investigation.
Actually, Rytlock was called to the Citadel to explain to Smodur about his time in the Mists when he went there to get his sword back. Got nothing to do with fighting Mordremoth. Smodur actually agreed to fight Mordremoth during the World Summit at the Grove.
No evidence of any kind, but I feel like Smodur is feeling threatened. He’s not assaulting Rytlock, he’s just shortening the leash. Smodur is the interim leader in the absence if a proper Khan-Ur, and probably fears that by meddling in the mists he can make a claim at Khan-Ur if he’s given free road (regardless of whether or not Rytlock even cares about Khan-Ur-ship). Smodur’s not a villain, and probably a good leader, but even interim leaders dont like to give up their power when true kings return.
it’s entirely impossible for that dragon to be Kralkatorrik, for two obvious reasons:
1. Size, as massive as we saw the head of Primordus was, Kralkatorrik is THE largest dragon (size and power are not necessarily ecquivalents, though), and the dragon in the trailer appears even smaller than Zhaitan was. I’m thinking.. Shatterer-sized, Claw of Jormag-sized.. -ish…
and 2. The dragon is your classical western four-legged-wyvern meaning it doesn’t fit Kralkatorrik’s model which is not necessarily eastern in design, but clearly more serpentine/elongated that average dragons.
Hence it being too small for an elder dragon, and fitting any structural motiff, I’ve come to the conclusion it’s just a random luitenant like Shatterer, but since it got special treatment from Balthazar, after showing regular dead dragons on the city, I have come to the conclusion it could very well be Gleam (Glint’s other kid)
As you can see in the first picture, individual pikes on his spine are larges than the ships at the right, while the dragon in the teaser is like.. 3-4 ships stacked on top of each other.. max
(edited by Amaimon.7823)
I think leave ’em as is, 99.9% of the enemies and bosses can be facerolled, having a few enemies that require more than auto-attack serves this playerbase some right. You have utility skills
use them
I know.. the colour of my least played class. What warrior or necromancer wants a mesmer aura
Since completion of Sopor Titanium is necessary (twice even) starting creation is raw impossible, and i already consider myself above average in jumping puzzles
