Why does everyone think WE need to deal with Braham? The Order of Whispers knows how to deal with problems like him, and I know he’s not ready for that.
They could kill him, or just take the bow. Really, Braham isn’t the threat, the bow is. If it disappears, then he’s harmless. (Well, aside from all the Norn (and one charr with pets) that he’ll get killed. But harmless on the ‘end the world’ scale.)

This new backpack/glider combo just begs for the backpack to be dyeable. Otherwise, the backpack looks like a lump of dirty gray metal. I heartily agree that gliders that are dyeable should have their corresponding backpacks dyeable as well. We are paying good money for these things after all.
They’ve posted numerous times it’s a time consuming issue of recoding/changing models of all previously released backpeices, and as many people want dyeable weapons as well, it’d add more and stall any new upcoming/expected content.
Though of course we all want the ability for it, its not seemingly practical immediately or in the near future.
But cant they (retro)actively only do it for the combos? Theres not too many of those (yet), and only if the glider variant is also dyeable

I cringe every time I see someone suggesting Braham and the Norn should be the focus of the season finale. It’s easily the least important part of the story. Who cares if they fight Jormag anyway, they are only going to get themselves killed.
Because three three reasons, and yes, we all hate Braham
1, he has magical arrows believed to able to kill the Serpent now.
2, Taimi believes killing another Dragon can be catastrophically catalytic
3, Jormag is most likely knocked out at the momentAs a result, Braham is currently one of the biggest threats in the world because he still thinks with his unchanged diaper
That’s all based on the idea that Braham and a handful of Norns can cut their way through the Icebrood, reach the dragon and kill it.
This is not finale-worthy material. Jormag has been knocked out and we still haven’t received our plot ticket for Elona.
Yes, we might spent the first part of the episode going to Hoelbrack or some area up north, but to think that Braham (and this is not about hating Braham, it’s about the story) would be the ending of the season? That this plot thread deserves its own new map. Please.
Orr, and specifically Arah is the home of the Gods. We are fighting a God. I’m surprised there’s even any doubt as to why we are going to Orr.
Don’t get me wrong, i have little doubt the new map is in Orr. My point is mostly that anet shouldn’t ignore Braham. And i would find it very unbelievable that we can simply talk a brat like him out of his vendetta, So i assume we arrest him or, or knock him cold. We don’t need a new map for that. We can intercept him in Hoelbrak or Bitterfrost Frontier all the same.

There are no fractals i wish to see removed, but there are some things I wish to see changed.
*Underground Facility: the two buttons and the controls, this area isnt very friendly to melee classes, if you have too many of these.
*Aquatic Fractal: dolphin path is anarchy at best.
*Molten Duo: skip cutscene, please.
*Mai Trinn: the siege phase is too easy, but too long and boring. Give is us something more challenging, and shorter. The sheer length of this makes a wipe all the more punishing due to time investment. Theres literally no moment in fractals youre safer than during the cannon siege.
*Urban Battleground: In all my years of fractalling and Raiding, have I never survived this encounter. Youre being oneshot from a hundred directions constantly.
*Underground Facility (2): the final boss often launches an agony pulse with a long build-up animation. This requires a double dodge to avoid all ticks, but its not quite clear when he starts channeling the ticks. A clearer animation on this part would be welcome

PvE has a very tidied set of achievements, while everything related to wvw and pvp is thrown on one pile. Is it possible we can have a bit of a tab clean up like we have for pve

Hey, can someone help me. I tried qtfy and metabattle, but i cant find a build thats good for solo play. All offered builds are for fractals and raids, or pvp, meaing they rely on synergy with a party, mostly warriors for their buffs.
Does anyone have a good build for open world pve for a mesmer? For when you roam alone, or do story

I mentioned that the commander can realize that there can be the camp where possibly the God/Gods are living. That would explain why the commander said in ep 5 that “he is here but not here”.
All I meant is that we have no reason to go there because we don’t know why.

Were not going to Orr to chase Baldy, we’re going to Orr to find lore on him, to find out what happened, so we know how to deal with him
As for your other point, i do agree its strange we’re not going after Braham. Right now a vengeful norn whose diaper needs changing is a threat to all tyrian life, if he actually manages to find and kill Jormag

Its probably worth noting that while the pale tree and sylvari are Mordrem, the dream is a unique trait of the Pale Tree, and its unknown if she wouldve had it anyway, or if she gained it because she was torn from Mordremoths hive mind. Since Mordremoth has his own mind-realm its entirely plausible that the Dream is a new bubble, a part that broke off when thevpale tree was purified, making it her own fraction of mind-realm. Do note, however, that unlike Mordremoth’s mind, the dream does not listen to its master, and has shown far more utilities like destiny and future-telling, utilities mordremoths mindrealm does not have. There are still a lot of unanswered questions, with probable speculation, so the lore isnt complete yet

Taking in mind that we’re going to be going to the Crystal Desert after LS3Ch6, it’s not unreasonable to think that we’ll see some of the Zephyrites, who’ve traversed the Crystal Desert to retrieve Aurene’s egg. It will probably be them that show us how to get into the desert and so on.
They don’t need to show us the way. As a matter of fact you don’t even need a boat to get there, all we need is for the queen to tell the guard in Ebonhawke to open the gate to the desert, and go trough on foot.
There’s kind of a reason there’s a wall with a closed gate. It makes sense to sail south from LA, then past the eastern shore of Orr, which is apparantly looking more vibrant in the teaser image, and connecting to Kourna in Elona. The Oasis map has a harbor town along the coast. That could very well be the starting point for us

While agreed, the ship looks canthan, I think its a bit farfetched to assume were going to cantha. I mean, its just a ship, its not like there were no canthans jn tyria.
(Regarding Kudu, that’s also unclear. I don’t think he was the leader, but given that that ‘branch facility’ was the Inquest’s largest known base by a vast margin, the possibility still exists.)

While I agree it’s nice the player is realistically drawn out of their order, I feel like the orders have been greatly neglected since Heart of Thorns, as much as the villanous orders like the Inquest. I mean, they were aggresively working on the MK-golem series, tracing and experimenting on Elder Dragon magic, and all whatnot.. Kudu could hardly be considered a boss, he was just overseeing a branch facility. Give us the juicy stuff, anet!

The barrage is too long and too easy imo,
But it gets hard and annoying when everyone is running around. One guy in the middle, rest in a corner. Just take small steps to get out of the aoes. Dont run around, be ause the batches of barrage overlap

Well.. I was fully hoping we’d get the trailer tomorrow (meaning we’d get S3E6 on 07/18). However, after reading they are going to address the Outnumbered pip abusing “in the next release” and the lack of updates for 3 weeks now, I’m starting to believe we will get a generic/current events release tomorrow.

If its any consolation, pve updates wont be affected by pvp or wvw updates, they may try to merge schedules to control the playerbase, ut fixes snd changes wont affect other modes’ agendas.

All I can say is.. try not to think of them as achievements, but tasks, or part of the progress duties. And many achievements that reward mastery points are almost given out like candy when you normally play
The episode should have been finished weeks ago considering they’ve had an extra month due to the previous episode (they have 3 teams on 6 month schedules). The problem is, they’re having to wait on the expansion, whether they’re waiting for a big event or it simply not being ready. Gamescom begins August 22, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re planning on revealing it there. The final episode of season 2 was only 11 days prior to HoT’s reveal at PAX, so they may continue to delay this one all the way up to August 15.

team for episode 5 took a little longer because they wanted to get it just right. team for chapter 6 was also working on their patch, and team of chapter 4 was moving on the expansion or post expansion work. production resources dont multiply like hydras, if you’re done with your job, you move over to your next job

I know this is probably a sore subject, but lately i’ve been very bothered by the use of stealth by rangers, thieves, and sometimes engineers/mesmers, the latter not being very bad, but the prior being a thorn in my eye.
Rangers with shadowscales, and thieves will look for a lone roamer in wvw or pvp, and engage. Now, normally this sounds like a soumd tactic.
But especially in the case of thieves, he spams stealth. I cant land a single hit on him, because they strike, re-hide, strike, re-hide, endlessly. Its a slow and dreadfull way to surely kill someone. You just outlast their healing skills while constantly stealthing, and if you somehow underestimated your enemy, you just stealth again and run away.Now, my point is not to complain about the stealth mechanic itself, but rather, the fact they dont sacrifice anything for it. Thieves flash and dash around without a vare, still dealing extremely high damage. “Back in my day” in games, you had to choose between prowess and survivability, or conditions, or utility, cant have everything. And once your downed its game over, because they can execute you from stealth.
And before you shout git gud and use CC, i have plenty of CC, but the great majority requires a target, which is a pretty hard thing to do since thieves can only be targeted for a split second. What im requesting is more basic;
More sacrifice of damage when you run a lot of stealth, and a longer channeling time when executing from stealth.
Your opinion?The only thing I really agree with is that stealth is not fun to fight when it’s being used constantly. Whether this be PU+pledge mesmers, bound/SA/stealth camping thieves, druids and the constant stealth or any upcoming combos.
While I also in some ways agree about not giving up anything for stealth I think it’s more that stealth is so strong that it essentially becomes a defacto choice over many other options. This causes the illusion (ha mesmer joke) of very little investment when it’s more accurate to say they invest a fair amount but it allows them to prevent being hit thus requiring less investment in cleanses and other defences.
The original concept of stealth was that it was limited in duration and longer duration came with drawbacks like long channels like Mass Invis, requiring lots of blasts in smoke fields which also required specific less optimal combat skills with engineers or sitting in a circle like shadow refuge.
Sadly the game is nowhere near what it was at launch and frankly stealth as a mechanic has in my opinion been allowed to become far stronger now that durations and applications have increased.
I may not agree with your ideas but I do agree with the spirit of the thread, stealth does need addressing.
Another option I just thought off would be either half a second of channeling time, just enough for skilled players to throw an interupt if they see it coming, or to have a cooldown, like 3-4 seconds between stealths.. or would ruin stealth completely again?
I mean, im not looking to ruin stealth, but I feel its a little too resistant to counters.. atm the warriors stomp is the only surefire interupt I can think of at the moment, and the guardians shockwave when theyre downed
