I guess you just don’t get it, do you? Laby was full of players hence overrun of these wolves. To the point that no, there was no place where there would be none.

Mora, I could play sarcastic and ask you if you ever heard that they invented the wheel, or I could simply ask you if you have any impediments in information processing, but I’ll pass, because, as I said, you obviously didn’t get it – not even the fact that definitely it was not my first time there. Also if you don’t mind do me a favor and show me a plant between the last one on the left-hand side before the start of the long run to the middle chamber and the middle chamber itself; because until further notice, there is none, you lose your transformation way before reaching the middle chamber, and when there’s practically a wall of about 8 of these creatures blocking the way right about when you get out of transformation, another 5 or 6 behind them roaming the chamber, and a dozen behind you, good luck using cold lights and radiates. That map was full of rallies and wolves. Nobody could get past them. I tried at least a dozen of times before getting to the point of no return. In conclusion, get down that high horse because it’s a rocking one.

So, yes, trust me, I have a lot of patience. Up to the point when someone obnoxiously tries to call it rain when the smell definitely indicates something else.

Mora. Learn the mechanics of what? You didn’t even understand what I’m talking about that frustrated me to no end, did you? Pray tell me what is the “mechanics” of that labyrinth so you can get past at least half a dozen of those wolves crammed in the only narrow way of access to the nightmare chest? I am all ears. Well, eyes as you will type not talk. Because believe me, I’ve played the game since a week or 10 days after it came out, and I wouldn’t have gotten where I am if I didn’t “get” any of the “mechanics”.

narwhalsbend – yes. THOSE wolves.

Let me put it this way: those darn modrem wolves that 1-hit you seemed to be spawned from the mind of someone who has a lot of issues, has no control over what is going on in their lives, and is taking it out on the players.

I don’t mind to die when it’s about poor skill use on my part, poor judgement, or just because I’ve hit R by mistake and jumped into oblivion from a cliff.

But when I have absolutely no control and just die repeatedly because there is a conference of 1-hitting mobs on the way to the nightmare chest, and there is no absolutely effing way to get past them, I draw the line. It’s like someone with a sardonic smile bangs me over the head with a baseball bat and after each hit puts in front of my eyes a sign that reads “oh I know you’ll take it because you’re too stupid”. In conclusion, it gives me the feeling that I’m being played for a fool.

I play a game to relax and have fun, not to get frustrated. I have enough frustration in real life and I play GW2 to get de-stressed. I am expecting content that would please me, as the paying customer.

I think I spent at least $200 in the past couple of months. I swear tho that today was my very last gem purchase.

Yes, I am ranting. No, I am not ragequitting. I am just done with silverwastes and content that alienates long-time money-spending players.

and then they wonder how to make players stay – well give them something good, not RNG. Because it’s not the new player that is going to bring you the cash, but the one who has lasted for a while and fell in love with your game, but if you keep feeding us brine, we’ll spit it and not pay for it anymore. Might want to tell your business manager or whatever you got there.

Also, another thing I don’t understand. If I go in a store and someone does a kitten-poor job of a customer service, I call the manager – or even the head office and they get in trouble and learn how to be customer service people for real.

Here it’s like someone is doing us a favor of taking our money and we must pay and shut up and never dare to voice any critique because the powers that be will spank us and put us in the corner like little kindergarteners who just peed their pants..

Something wrong with this picture if you ask me.

considering how rarely I have to use LB no. 3 skill, I’d really like that one to be instead remastered into an interrupt/stun. Leave the 4 the knock back for repositioning, but give us some LB interrupt stun that wouldn’t move the mob out of place. The only place I would use the no. 4 is in silverwastes, even in a group, only when I see the mob getting ready to do one of their nasty tricks (i.e. teragriff getting ready to play pool with everybody) and that is to actually protect the meleers who are close to the mob from that specific skill it has. I’d love to be able to do that without having to knock back. and yes, I would love it to be on LB as it’s our most potent AOE, and I don’t think it would be efficient having to switch weapons every 20 seconds..

As for the number of rangers, I can tell one thing – in Silverwastes for example, I tried all my classes, and the ranger is the most efficient/highest survival rate of all, and that is who I’m using there, so I guess probably that is why you are seeing so many rangers there.

Nightshade boots, helm and gloves (cultural Tier 2)

As for the dyes, it’s hard to tell, the screenshot looks a tad “yellowed” up, but I’d think that the lightest color would be in the yellow or orange hues (either honey ice or white gold) and the darker colors in the brown or red hues (try midnight red, midnight rust, midnight rose or dark chocolate) – maybe even midnight fire, it’s known to not be black on leather or metal but rather a brownish-red color.

There is one thing to actually physically walk or run from one place to another to get/do stuff: it’s healthy for you, workout and all that.

To digitally waste time running on a screen from here to there when things could be more efficiently organized, what is that going to bring to you besides wasted time? Carpal tunnel maybe?

I think it is really ridiculous that not all armor-making masters carry runes of holding. In Rata Sum for example, Tailor Master doesn’t carry them. In Lion’s Arch the Leatherworking master is the only one who carries them. So if you want to make bags on a tailor, i.e., you have to run around to get your runes of holding from the other masters so you can make your bags. Why don’t all masters carry them?

I swear, it seems that there is a Dev in your team who relishes in making players do extra useless annoying trips – like in the Personal Story, the innumerable times you have to walk out of a town to go to the instance entrance, so you can walk then back in town IN THE SAME EXACT SPOT because that’s where the NPC you must talk to is.

No, they would still die. I just didn’t count on them much (well just on the extra sword hit haha). I’d dodge before going in the bubble so a clone would be left behind so my ranger runes would still be at max, spawn warlock before that (that one doesn’t go in melee range so he wouldn’t be instantly destroyed)and then switch to GS and just rely on my GS damage. I do not remember if “take root” worked there or not. But what I did worked pretty good.

I honestly did not have insurmontable issues from the bosses. With the big terragriff, in case you didn’t notice, when he zooms across that arena like area, it’s always in some straight line, so if you move to the side of the area right when you see him getting ready to pounce you’re relatively safe (at least until jungle tendrils spawn). I know that in that instance dodge clone saved my behind quite a good number of times.
My poor death shroud necro tho got her pretty behind handed to her several times in that instance. I was thinking of trying it with a minion necro to see how that works.

Yes, let’s bring more Asian anime crap that has absolutely no background in the GW world.

You already have 4 races that are animal enough (Kodan, Skritt, Tengu and Krait) and a mysterious humanoid-enough race (Largos) that would satisfy the “Iwantmorehumanlikechars” people.

And then let’s bring Earth religions into this too, by name, shall we?

Nope. Nope. Nope. Go play an Asian MMO that has catgirls if you want cute big-boobied big-eyed catgirls. There are plenty out there for your “special entertainment” if you get my jist.

Caithe brings the egg to the Pale Tree because the Pale Tree wants to raise a (Young) dragon to oppose the Elder ones. It will be infused with the magic of the Pale Tree that she will release into him upon her death (the death of her consciousness, not her physical death, the Sylvari will continue to emerge from pods on the Pale Tree) and it will continue to protect the Dream and the Sylvari. Also, this way the Pale Tree will indeed be reborn as a Dragon, and the Sylvari will be its minions. But this time it will be a Young Dragon, protecting Tyria against the Elder Dragons. Also, in the future, we will see the Nightmare court and other factions trying to get hold of this hatchling in order to divert it for their own purposes.

I must be doing something wrong then, because I run a phantasms/clones GS mainly mesmer and I didn’t have any issues on either tangled paths or echoes of the past. It did involve quite a bid of dodging and use of sylvari “take root”, but I did just fine, and in the facets fight my friend guardian (pretty darn good guardian otherwise) kept dying and I was rezzing them all the time. Didn’t die at all on any of the steps. Except once when I jumped in the wrong direction and went kaboom in the void under the crystalline path.

@Dr. Divine, I’ll give it a 8/10. I am not crazy about the color scheme you used, but I have to admit it’s very unusual, so what you loose on weird colors you gain on being so unique. One thing is for sure, everybody will notice you, no matter where you are (not sure about the volcano tho lol)

Alkonium, your first one, she’s pretty, but somehow that non-sylvari armor doesn’t look too good on her. 7/10. Your other two, they do look better, I still prefer Sylvari in – well, plant armor. 8/10

Roseberry, beautiful she is so suave! 10/10!

Shadechidna, a 10/10 for your Sylvari too, he is a dark handsome guy!

Elynaeh, I love that color scheme! 10/10

KeyLimPi, love it! So original! 10/10 too!

Soulmyr, your guardian is breathtaking. It’s like a being of elementa power of nature. 20/10!

Ani, your first one I rate 9/10 due to non-Sylvari armor. Second gets a 10/10, love the color scheme!

Same goes for Alga. 9/10 for the first, 10/10 for the second.

LadySwan, your Sylvari is one of those that CAN wear non-sylvari armor and still look good. Still, non-sylvari armor. 9/10

Daevan, 9/10. See above.

Lorelei, 10/10 for both yours. The first one made me think of a coleus plant. The second one of a tropical plant I saw one time (yes, carnivorous one)

Nausiation, even if yours isn’t wearing sylvari armor, i have to give it a 10/10. She looks amazing.

ChibiLlama, yes, she is very sweet! 10/10

saxmachine, that Sylvari of yours is hot, baby, hot! 20/10!!!

TwinFrozr, the Phoenix would be one of the few non-sylvari armors that actually manage to look sylvari-ish. I love the color scheme. 10/10

Andrax, your Rose looks delicate like a rose. and beautiful. 10/10

Anyway, here are my 3 level 80 Sylvari, in order, necromancer, mesmer and elementalist.

I am glad that there is a WvW, people like it, good for them. We got PvP for who likes it, and PvE who likes that.
Personally I am interested only in PvE. I couldn’t care less about PvP or WvW.
Now why do I HAVE to go in a WvW map to do my pet collection completion?
I don’t mind doing all kinds of things in order to do achievements, but those do not involve me having to deal with hormone-raging teenagers who don’t give a crap that you’re not there for their fun. And this no matter what time of day or night I try, I wasted hours trying to get the Juvenile Wolf.
Can we please have the Juvenile Wolf in a regular PvE environment? I don’t care if you put it in the hardest to reach corner of Arah or the Silverwastes Labyrinth. Just not in a PvP environment? It makes no sense.

NPE Feedback [Merged] - Please read 1st post

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Anyandrell.6238

Anyandrell.6238

I will just sum up my opinion about these changes. Old style NPE and new style NPE.

Old style – I couldn’t care less what level I was. It was fun everywhere and many things to do, wonderful details and beautiful stories, not “kill 25 locusts and bring their wings to X NPC”. I felt immersed in the world of Tyria and part of it.

New style – I’m focused on leveling faster so I can finally have fun at level 80. Leveling is a hurdle and not fun. I don’t really care for fun or beautiful landscapes or NPC conversations – all I care is how to zoom faster through hearts and missions (of which many have been dumbed down a lot). I don’t have that feeling of “belonging” until I finally get to level 80. On my new characters I actually avoided doing PS until then, and also I did everything possible on my existing lvl 80s to get as many tomes of knowledge as I could to make leveling faster.

And this is from a veteran player. Now think what a new players feels like compared to what it used to be.

I hope there won’t be made the same mistake of most MMOS out there, true, most of them Korean – to try and “unify” the game for both the Asian and European/US market. Because, in few words, it comes down to this: Asians love grinding. Westerners don’t. They want fun and they want it easy, most of the time.

Ok, some of us love our Sylvari characters and Sylvari lore. To the point that we use only things sylvari gearwise or at least try to.

the problem is, we are quite limited. We have practically four (4) choices – the 3 tiers cultural and the Twilight Arbor. All the other races have quite inter-changeable armors, we are supposed to actually grow our armor and that is why it looks, well, plant-ish. I would really love (and I’m sure I’m not the only one) to have some more variety in the “all things sylvari” area.

Could we please at least get some in the gem store?

And now that I’ve talked about races and gear, can someone in the dev team please work a tad more on the Charr variants of the gear? Hoodies (like some light armor head gear or some medium one) on the Charr look, well, ridiculous. It’s like they are trying to have a facial or something.

Games are confusing (the maze is a kind of wtf?), the clockwork – by the time the pop-up window disappears you’re already in to your neck and have to respawn, there is no information about what to do and where to find stuff anywhere.

As I was told before not to say anything about the devs, I’ll refrain from it, and say only this: since I came back to GW2, I spent way more than I would have spent on a P2P game. So guess what? I am (like all the other players) paying those devs paychecks, so I’d like a better product for my money.

Now I have no expectations for the Winter event.

Also, you’d better work on opening new maps than on fixing things that aren’t broken. I am sure that at least 50% of old players spent in gemstore at least as much as they paid when they purchased the game. Which I am sure is a number and an amount of money higher than that of new players who just bought the game. If you just start and have a lot to look forward to when you will be higher level, you are tempted to stay. Not "omg I gotta level up to level 40 to get a new skill), but “I got to get to level 80 and do lots of stuff if I want to live and explore the whole of the map.”. You should have 60% at least of the active map for lvl 80s. With much stuff to do. You’re far from it. Dry Top is not a huge addition and Orr is getting old.

The new TP UI is horrible. Especially when it comes to selling. What was before nicely on each tag is now all crammed together and looks horrible. It makes me think that someone absolutely wanted to prove that they do deserve to keep their job and went what they thought was above and beyond. Well, they don’t deserve it. They have no organizing skills. A homemaker would have done a better job. Of course by now many have already discovered that most searches you do in TP crash your game.
Overall – they made more complicated and more like other MMOs something that was already complicated enough but at the same time different enough to not be a cookie-cutter – what probably attracts the GW player base to start with.

Also, why in the world did they make it so a higher level can’t find lower level gathering equipment in lower level areas? If I want to re-specialize my lvl 80 in another craft, do I have to use only mithril pickaxes to mine copper ore? How totally and absolutely dumb is that?

Overall? Very displeased with the patch. VERY displeased. I might take another year of playing break and definitely not spend the money I had put aside on anything in the gem store right now. The only good thing I can find is the graphics – they are breathtaking right now. But I don’t play GW2 to just walk around admiring landscapes and seascapes.
