DS is the only tolerable map, yes its locked, but at least is straight forward. VB is not that bad, but the post was meant for the maguma region in general, terrible map design. The other 2 maps i dont even step on, rather get their currencies from the pvp track, there at least, the “mobs” that attack me matter.
Same here, if they know they shipped a defective product, hence the 64 bit client, they should at least default you to top tier reward when you log back in after the crash, and not get the kittentiest reward tier as i have received for a 3rd time..
The only bright side to the expansion is that thanks to the pvp track and the fact that the raid door might as well be next to the first portal, once you get your hp and your waypoint to ds, you dont need to sep into general maguma again.
And where/what is the source of energy to maintain flight. It’s called a glider for a reason.
Yes because it has no propulsion, not because it cant gain altitude, its a glider not a parachute.
Traversing Maguma is a pain in the kitten , please make the 5th glider mastery to allow you to get full flight capability, not just gliding.
I love VB. It’s probably my favorite map. Certainly the most polished of all the new maps. And yeah, if you dislike VB you are going to violently hate TD.
you are indeed correct, i despise maguma to such extent that i decided to burn my “Christmas money” on HearthStone pacs rather than upgrading account here.
I wander what are they going to do when in a couple of months people get fed up with maguma and the content required is essentially unsoloable.
-A pain in the kitten to navigate.

-Required for hero points that are necessary yet a pain in the kitten to get.
unless you need stat only available in ascended, you don’t need ascended armors. If you can’t kill raids boss with exotic armor, it’s another problem.
Not having access to ascended puts you at a disadvantage in WvW and Anet has already stated, raids are meant to be done in ascended gear.
The only viable match ups should be:
5 team vs 5 team
4 team + 1 vs 4 team + 1
3 team + 2 team vs 3 team + 2 team
5 solos vs 5 solos.
No other variation of queue grouping should be allowed

Everybody is running tanky cause damage is all over the place, and they have known this for a while now.

This was the time to change it.
It also has to be a kit and not a weapon, because we can not swap them thus would exclude hammers.
Nades are nice for pve but we have no reliable power based ranged weapon for pvp.
Thus i propose Anet implements the NailGun.
-Power Based
-Kit for engineer base not a scrapper skill.
-Same range as pistols.
If we could just walk everywhere with no obstructions the map would look like an air hockey table.
Yes, and of course the only 2 options are the extremes.
I would drop its Mesta Score to a 5 based on the kitten map design alone, never mind the grinding.
So the verticality of the maps was fun for you at first and now it’s not fun anymore?
Or was it never fun to begin with?
If it’s the latter then the new maps never “lost their appeal” to you.
They were never appealing to you in the first place.
Novelty always has appeal.
It’s not that bad. Just like vanilla, learn the map, and it relieve some of your frustration. The key is understanding what HPs and POIs are in the canopy and not in the jungle.
You dont need to learn the maps either in wow or here on the old maps to go from A to B, you just start walking.

Bottom line, Maguma is a pain in the kitten to navigate and it gets old real fast. Half the time dont know how to get from A to B even if B is 100 feet away. Half the way points are contested continuously which only makes matters worst.
There is a reason no other game abuses verticality, when Burning legion came out, you could fly but it was all open spaces here, you cant fly and everything is a kitten maze.
I think that dps meters would bring little to no benefit to the game and much like the non existent zerk meta, create a false sense of elitism.
Tuesday patch was supposed to increase rewards all around, are fractals worth it now? is it worth it to buy the keys to open the fractals boxed rewards? are you still better off just selling them?
How do you beat traps? same way you beat necro marks and ranger traps, walk/port into the point, roll. Done all traps go off, none hit you.

In this iteration, there will be several changes to how fractals give out liquid rewards (gold and items designed to convert directly into gold). The negative aspect of this change is a required decrease to the amount of keys you receive from converting a stabilizing matrix from two to one. However the upside is threefold:
- First, the quantity of free Fractal Encryption Keys you receive for completing all dailies will increase.
- Second, the amount of liquid rewards Fractal Encryptions contain will be greatly increased.
- Last, the variation of liquid rewards will be reduced. We noticed that the general perception of how much the Encryptions were rewarding players and the aggregate numbers didn’t agree, they weren’t even close. We believe that the variation was set to rely too greatly on the high valued rewards. This change will make liquid rewards from fractal farming and dailies much more predictable.
We look forward to getting these changes to you and would like to thank you for all of your constructive feedback on Fractals. We are committed to supporting fractals for the long term and we’ll be continuously monitoring them for future improvements.

These seem highly contradictory and i fail to see the need to reinvent the wheel, the fractals reward were just fine when they just gave out gold.
Love the longer fights, much better than the split second blow everything up meta we used to have.
To quote the simpsons.
“People are tired of fights that end before they can get drunk”.
So, it used to be that at 50 dif, you got a chance at a ring and a chest, for the ring at least it was very likelly you would get one.
Now i dont get the gold, i get this boxes that cost more to open than they are worth and i have not seen a ring or asc box drop yet.
Am i missing something? what is the key to unlocking the fractals now? how do you make them worth it?.
In all honesty i play both and guardian is not that grate, the real problem is that since the traits patch, warrior has sucked, bad.
It has next to no sustain and is completely dependent on double invul cd to achieve anything.
An MMO PvP player should know how things work in any game, with ups and downs.
And when is gw2 up coming exactly? because in all this time, pvp has gone from one mess to the next, i still remember the kite wars meta when the warrior was night useless, we have basically come full circle.
What should be account bound is waypoint locations.

Meaning having move forward, move backwards strafe left and strafe rigth always be dependant on camera facing? because it is realy confusing to be looking at something, pressing foward and having my character start running in the opposite direction.
Do you have “Use free camera” checked?
If you uncheck it, you can still move your camera around, but it will automatically reset to behind your character when your moving around and will solve your problem.
That is not what i want, i want my movement direction be dependant on the direction i am looking, meaning, if i press strafe left for it to always strafe left of what i am looking at.
Having the camera follow my movement is not the same as having my movement follow the camera.As in for example, pressing autorun and then steering your character left and right by just moving the mouse? If so, I have the same question.
Exactly, that would be ideal and in line with what i mentioned, your movement direction be slaved to your camera facing.
A good way to clarify would be to answer this questions:
1- My character is facing south, my camera facing north, i press forward, does my character move north or south?.
2- My character is facing south, my camera facing north, i press strafe right, does my character move towards the East or the West?.
Idealy the answer to 1 should be North, and the answer to 2 should be East.

Are the events and dungeons status being reseted? if we completed it last season do we get to start the events from scratch again?.
I don’t think addition of an elite spec changes anything they said WAY back when. Even if the argument doesn’t count for the specialization, I haven’t seen any reason that the specialization needs the 25% RS more than the base Guardian profession itself. I would argue it needs it less.

That isn’t really relevant. Whether you think Anet knows or not, they hold the levers and if you want certain levers flipped, you might want to change your attitude. Think about how what you just said sounds:
“Hey Anet, you’re clueless so you should just give up and give players everything they have been asking for, because it’s going to be the most balanced ideas ever!”
UM HUM.
Lets see, why dont you make a historic read of every problem stated on the pvp forum?, it esentially 3-4 months later they recognize it and 6-12 months after that they come up with something tangentially related to what the forum stated was the solution.
Thus their track record and thus why i dont honestly give a unicorn if they get offended by stating plain to see facts.
This is been a known issue for YEARS now, time for treading softly is over.

“I want to be up front: scarcity is important.”Not sure you understand the concept here. There is no required grinding in GW2. None. Never has been. If you decide to “grind” out content, that’s your choice. The way the game is designed, you play the content in one story, and you move onto the next.
I take it you have neither reached a full set of ascended gear or reached Fractals lvl 50.
The one thing that he wants to be scarce is in-game gold. But this isn’t new. Limiting gold acquisition has been GW2’s plan all along.
Players then want to buy gems to convert to gold.
In Be4: “What? Gold is easy to get in this game! I make 5K gold a week and all I do are my dailies!”
Gold availability has no impact on how available gems are, because gem price is supposed to be based on gold sold, thus if less gold is available the gold price of gems will decrease, lowering the availability of gold has no impact on the status quo regarding gem availability to players.

lack of a 25% run speed trait for guards is really a deal breaker at this point. Anyone who is actually interested in balance between professions can see that if 8/9 have it already there is no issue in 9/9 having it.
The reason we don’t have a 25% RS trait/skill is exactly because of balance and relation to the profession concept.
Mhh, some here say, its only a qol thing to have this 25% MS. You claim, its because of balance that we dont get one. Could you please explain, in which gamemode dh would become op with 25% MS? I cant see this!

I don’t claim .. Anet has told us in a Ready Up episode.
I think pvp has more than probed, Anet has little idea about what it really takes to balance this game.
I mean yeah, cool, but it is still yet again another variation on a double endure pain build.
-The change to spear of Justice is very welcome.
-Traps are still traps thus useless.
-We still lack 25% run speed and the DH traits are rather weak, this is again a missed opportunity.
Overall DH feels very weak, traps are going to see little use outside spvp (even there its still a long shot), While bow is certainly better than Scepter, it is still over all a very weak power based ranged weapon, on a class with no run speed or dissengages.
Traits have little sinergy and are badly grouped together across the entire Guardian class, take Simbolic avenger and Writ of persistance, they are on 2 different lines and affect the same thing, before the trait changes they were on the same line.
To be short and blunt, the Guardian class is over all a complete mess and needs at the very least to have the traits re aranged and many completely re designed, and this messed up dessigned carried on onto the DH.

It is ridiculous beyond belief than some one can suggest that having 2 utilities on constant CD is actually a viable alternative.
Why?, warrior already has a passive 400 heal, not 200 not 250, but 400 and 1000k shout heals.
End result warrior with almost twice the base hp pool is completely reliant on 2 invulnerability CDs, why would we want them to screw us up the same.
The easyest and most simple fix on the hammer is to invert the chain and make the first attack be the long one that puts the simbol down.
Right now, hammer is only good for aoe dumb mobs, if in hot mobs will be moving around, hammer is going the way of the dodo.
-Puncture shot should have a much faster projectile speed and either criple every target always or do something else.
-True shot should not root you, we have no dissengage skills.
-Deflecting shot is worthless, shoting into their prijectiles, really? and ground targeted to make it worst.
-Simbol of energy is SO contradictory it aint funny. So it gives vigor which is a diffensive boon, but i shot it at them?, it is also ground targeted with a miniature aoe so gets a 0 on pvp and wvw.
-Hunters Ward, again Ground targeted, but to make it worst it is telegraphed sice it is the last hit that does the thing instead of the first one.
If bow is to be a ranged weapon, then it needs to be a GOOD ranged weapon.
-The berserker Torch is awesome for condi builds.
-The scrapper hammer is awesome for meleeing, cant stress this enough.
-The reaper sword is awesome for power melee cleaving builds.
-The shield is awesome on the cronomanser.
In contrast the Bow and virtues Suck on the DH.

Tested it like 5 minutes. Its a condi centric line in a power based and THEMED class, regarless of it being subpar or not, its not worth my time.
We need 25% moving trait ASAP in DH line.
That would be the only thing right now that would actually entice me to use the line.
Just reset personal story what is the big deal, its not like anyone gives a kitten about it.
1- Virtues need to be instant cast.
2- Bow is klunky as hell, half of the skills either root you or are ground targeted.
3- Traps, yeah, they need to be something else, traps are useless in EVERY game mode.
4- Traits, there is like 0 sinergy in the trait line, we get a know back, with a ranged weapon for when we are close range with no way to dissengage. Could it get any more contradictory?.
