Whats it like after the patch?
You guys do know that hammer gives 1 stack of might PER TARGET HIT with the auto. The auto is already potentially too strong with might-stacking runes in a brawler build, and will easily keep you topped up at 25 might in teamfights.
I wouldn’t be concerned that it is too weak…
You dont melee much in pvp do you?
Some have not realized it yet, but grenade kit or mortar kit is pretty much required on Hammer Scrappers in PvP/WvW.
In world v world, may be, but in pvp no they realy arent, plenty clases go into pvp with out a ranged option, like guardian, warrior, thief. further more, turret engi used rifle so might as well not count as a ranged weapon.
Hammer damage is on par with guardianns gs, theirlast hit hits harder but we get twice as much might and 2 vul.
Pluss the rest of our skill on the hammer are miles ahead from most if not all melee weapons out there.
Might not be so simple, Hammer gets bonus power from armor and extra 10% crit chance, so i dont know if the calculation is that simple, at leaast for melee range.
In fact if you add in +200 power from armor, nades do marginal extra damage and that is with out factoring the added might stacking or the extra 10% crit and assuming all 3 nades land.

Hammer damage is ok, its about the same as guardians gs except for the last hit of the chain which guardians strikes harder but we get to stack twice as much might and 2 vul per rotatin. We also get much better utility and flow out of the weapon, so i would say we are ok.
However, rapid regeneration seems almost healing signet like. Couple with bunker down in invention line and you have almost 1k heal with no healing power. But this leaves you with 1 line for offense, which I have never figured out how to make it work.
Nah, rapid regen is nice but its nothing like Healing sig, access to super speed is limited and you will need the leap finishers for the extra healing on the water fields.
I think it is more comparable to something in betwin medis and shouts healing.
3s Superspeed is 1500 healing (not burst), you might get them every 20 seconds or so, that is comparable to shouts and meds, which warrior gets on top of the healing sig.
Is that what we want? Certainly, fights that last less than 30s-to a minute are not worth having, i would go play mobas if that is what i wanted.

when I watched the live stream I constantly found myself saying why take the med gyro when healing turret is better why take take the bulwark gyro when I can take toolkit why take the stealth gyro at all when supply crate and mortar kit offer so much more. its like turret 2.0 was hoping for so much from this elite spec and the only decents thing is the hammer and a few traits like ele thing the engi got handed a bad hand
It should have been turrets 2.0 it should have been the build that lets you play a turret stile in wvw, but the giros other than the one that constantly does a whirl finisher are rather dissapointing
I dont know, much will depend on the power multiplier on the basic chain.
But stats wise ill either go might stacking with Celestial or Soldiers+Rune of the pack and firearms for additional 20% crit.
Im looking at Either:
+Firearms+Inventions+Scrapper
or
+Alchemi+inventions+Scrapper
or
May be tools.

Errr? dissengage when you see the pulse and re engage when revealed is gone?
Its not like the thief is lacking in the dissengaging/mobility deparment.
If it slows down the fights and we stop blowing each other up in a fraction of a second, im all for cele meta across the board.

364 is listed as the base damage for the chain. We know neither the power multiplier nor what the dev was wearing on stream.
The number is a concern, but its a storm in a teapot until we know more.
I am concerned about the Hammer’s damage multiplier. The tooltip showed 364 damage. Granted we dont know what he was wearing stats wise, but it is a concern.
Gyros should just be summons like the necromancers.
They could very easily fix this by cutting reward costs on the vendors to 10% of current with 1 being the minimum.
If there is any sense to the way the engine is programmed, this is a quick change in constant values and presto. If you cant do it live, just dissable the vendors, make the change and enable them once the event is over.
It is no technical challenge to address this.
I have to agree, im struggling to even remain interested in the event.
If there are no relevant rewards and or they are not reasonably accessible, like only playing the event during sat and sun, might as well not do the event at all.
There is certainly an X factor that is not that easy to quantify. Having said that there is also very much so quantifiable factor Y which limits how much that X factor can weight on the game.
Eleandra, from my experience as a programer my self, i have to agree with You, from the UI to the Glacial times of balance patches, in something that is little more than tweeking constants in a program, Literally no different than opening a word documante changing it and saving it again, to the fact that instant skills fail to connect (like blinking strike, goes of and blinks but does not strike, guadian sword 2), to the art which is for the most part clearly asian in design.
This game reaks of outsourcing to Ncsofts “partners” as opposed to in house development. When you do this, there is always a cost attached to it, and in GW2 shows.

Sadly this was predictable. The sorry state of warrior makes it simply not viable to play with out Defense and Discipline. You need a hell of a lot of added damage to overcome the 30% extra you get from strength.
I simply dont see warrior being anyting close to viable until they buff healing signet to compensate for the kitten load of added damage flying around after the patch.
dont suck? thief can burst down anyone from stealth and from 100 to 0 in a split second.
PvP in this game has been on the verge of dying for a while now, and the terrible elementalist and mesmer opness has not done it any favors.
PvP needs both a heavy influx of new blood AND the devs getting their collective kitten in gear to balance it.
No game, that does not need it goes F2P.
Noobs will get owned, yes certainly that is part of what being a noob entails, they will grow out of it like in any other game.

Then they can balance 2 modes at once, wvw and pvp.
Would pve get affected, most likelly, but honestly, who gives a kitten ? pve is just there to grind skins and gear for wvw.

So? just run the same dungeon over and over and over again until you get the ascendedgear and or skins you need for wvw or pvp, that is all pve is there for.
PvE is a grind, why would we want that grind to be harder?.
If anything i think they should completely remove the spvp amulet system and use the regular gear system.
Then start balancing again from scratch, it works both spvp and wvw simultaneously.
It is become quite evident, they simply cant or dont have the resources to balance both systems simultaneously.
In any other esport or popular real world sports, SCORING A POINT is usually the most exciting part of the game.
Actually no, there is a pretty significant divide betwin american sports and the rest of the world sports.
Compare popular American sports like: basketball and baseball. You score many many many points per game, a single particular point becomes less relevant.
Compare that to rest of the worlds pastime, Football: where there are in average may be 3 points per game. Then there is where a point is realy significant.
This just follows American sports design.
Because i love how often and effectively the dev team balances the game, specially spvp.

I mean, we are essentially squishier than mediguards, which i did not know it was even possible, are we ever going to get some serious sustain buffs?.
Both too slow, rogue is going to destroy you before you ever get to put the simbol down.
Dont have the damage to fight real bunkers.
Warrior and GS guardians will burst you down, have higher dps and you simply cant race them to 0.
The problem with hamme is that the simbol is at the end of the 3s chain. In a world where everybody crits for 3k every second, that is just an eternity.
-You have No on demand Interrupt.
-You have No on demand Damage Spike.
-By the time you complete the chain you are likelly dead.
-Easy to Kite
Extremelly so, other than the 2 major offenders and may be necro bunker, you can essentially burst anyone down in 3s flat from stealth.
Unwanted Unneeded Useless.
In all honesty, Berserker does not look that good.
1- Berserk mode has a CD on top of it requiring full addrenaline. Thus you can not get the full benefit out of the spec.
2- The heal is essentially useless in pvp.
3- Support skills look average at best, definetly no place in your bar for them in pvp, no 3 stace == dead warrior.
4- You are going to give up +30% damage on your sword just to access the trait line, and it does not seem to make it up.
5- Conditions are not what i rolled my warrior for.
The elite skill is the only thing that seemed good.

1- Is it possible to remain in it permanently? does the CD of the berserker mode start ticking on activation or when the mode ends?.
2- How does the 1 addrenaline interact with addrenal health?. It has been stated several times that the bursts are considered stage 3, but it was never mentioned how the bar it self is treated.

And then there is the other person who refuses to see beyond black and white. It can’t possibly be that people like challenging content! It’s all about the loot. Hello, it’s probably both. People like the new challenging content and jump to do it for fun. But it’s basic human nature…..people like being rewarded for their effort. If you can get the same thing in some faceroll way, then that’s a slap in the face to people who put in the time and effort. I do wonder, like some others suggested if they made the reward a title and a good amount of gold, whether people would still be stamping their feet about it.

To those people comparing Hard Content, to WoW raiding.
There is a very big particular difference betwin content here an in WoW.
When you kill a Raid Boss in WoW, it ALWAYS dropps significant loot and gear.
Here you have Teq which gets killed every day and dropps something significant may be what 1 out of 100 times?.
What incentives is there to actually want those fights to be harder?.
Exactly, if bruiser is not viable then its either bunker or zerker. Bunker counters zerker and people dont like being killed in 2 seconds flat.
End result zerker gets screwed because of high damage.
Ironically i stated this would hapen like 2 weeks into the new patch.
A week ago these forums had plenty of QQs about damage being too high… Sometimes I wonder if people on the forums play the same game…
They are, this move to bunk is exactly a reaction to that damage being too high.
Prior to this patch you could get away with playing a Bruiser, you have even fights and brought diversity.
Damage went sky high and bruiser is no longer viable, you are left with bunker and zerker.
News flash, most people dont like going from 100 to 0 in 3 seconds.

My concern is Rage skills. They are like physical skills (but grant adrenaline on use), and as such blind spam will completely hard counter Rage skills.
Berserker should address warriors main failing in PvP, which is that blind spam hard counters warriors. It is no secret that popular ele and mesmer builds have frequent access to blinds, and man handle warriors.
Right now its both, blind and lack of sustain what kills warrior. Lets face it, we have some semblance of viability because of double endure pain. Take that away and we melt like ice in the middle of the Sahara.
Right now im usting Strenght defense and Discipline.
Discipline and Defense are essentially untouchable in pvp.
Thus this will compete directly with Strenght. Which essentially gives a 30% bonus damage to GS (FG+BP).
On the other hand, Discipline + “Berserker”(?) will mean permanent full Addrenaline bar, which would have some upsides.
Will need to see how this will interact with Adrenal Health AND Clensing Ire.
Nerfing our already lacking passive healing and or condition Cleansing makes this a non starter in pvp.
They already said the 1 bar acts as a tier 3 “as far as traits go”.
No they said the burst skill counts a 3rd tier burst.
Warrior is essentially unplayable in pvp if its grand total sustain comes down to 360-470ish hp per second and only when not activating the signet.
