Haha. Come on, this is silly. The only time we spawn camp is when we can’t find anyone else to fight because the whole enemy server is in one massive zerg or in a tower shooting us with siege. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but if we can’t find a good fight roaming, we will start one. We rarely have more than 5 people, so it isn’t like either Kain or DH lack the numbers to push us away. As far as killing upscales, if it’s red, it’s dead. We don’t prey on or specifically target upscales. In any event, we’re just here to have fun. Spawn camping aside, we rarely troll unless provoked. So, that’s really all I can say about that.

I’m not ruling anyone out, but unless you have got some transfers and we lose more people to people getting tired of leagues, how has anything changed? I’m sure if your coverage and tactics has gotten better then we will indeed have a closer match, but I’m seeing some puzzling stamens from you and others in this thread.
We matched HoD at prime time and had the lead several times over the weekend which is more than your server can say, so what is the point in bringing HoD into this?
We’re getting much higher participating in WvW and are more coordinated. On top of that, Dh has finally realized the value of defending stuff after our match with GoM/FC, our defensive game has improved by a large margin.
Also, you do realize we took a 100+ppt lead over HoD dozens of times, right? HoD owned us, and we admit that lol, but don’t think we never fought back…

This is very true, and note that we only beat ET but a couple thousand points… I think servers tend to have their own strengths and weaknesses and those play off of each other. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t general rules such as server X is stronger than Y, just that it’s a little less predictable.

This has been fairly typical every week of league play. When leagues are over and we resume regular play, we should continue to have very competitive matches when IoJ and NSP get reintroduced. DH is in a sweet spot for competitiveness. I love it.

That’s four updates to get the following implemented:
- A new “specific way” to build precursors.
- Crafting level 500 for all professions.
- New legendary weapons.
- New types of Legendary gear.
- Ascended armor (including craftable pieces).
- New skills and traits. (We’ve had existing traits changed and one new skill so far.)
- New map types in sPvP.
- The ability to gain Legendary weapon skins in PvP.
I don’t think tomorrow’s update includes any of this stuff, and Wintersday will take up at least one update (beginning on December 24 assuming the usual four week cycle). In other words, we have two ridiculously epic updates to look forward to in the next 30 days.
Let this be a lesson to ArenaNet… don’t over-hype what’s around the corner. Sure, you delivered the dungeon tool, updates every two weeks, Ascended weapons, etc. (and kudos for doing so) but please, in the future, think before you release these grandiose blog posts/videos/forum posts and just be straight with people.
You shouldn’t say all this stuff is coming in the next 5 months and then not deliver even half of it. I get it, I get it… development is more complicated than us players realize. I don’t doubt that for one minute. But ultimately, it’s not our job to figure out these things – it’s yours. This whole “saying one thing and doing another” business is getting old.
Again – good job on the stuff from the blog post you’ve actually implemented, but please, stop overreaching so much. The hot air is starting to get stale.
They explicitly stated this was open to change, and later reiterated that some of it almost certainly won’t make it in… You people are ridiculous. Everyone with half a brain should have known, from the outset, some stuff probably wouldn’t make it in. Dude, it wasnt a bug, stop acting like it was one that you “fixed” instead of openly saying no we will nerf necros by removing their single hit damage absorb (since all multi hits/aka most burst skills in game would go trough it when the damage to 0LF was delt); for friggas sake it was even added to the game when removing the orbs from wvwvw plain in the patch notes.
Did you ever stop to consider that the word “bug” has become synonymous on the interwebz with “not working as intended” / “currently not desired by us” and as such you’re scolding a generous dev for a small grammar mistake? Guard Dec 10th patch isn’t going to change us much at all based on what they’ve released so far. It’s all very minor compared to what is happening to other classes. We’ll probably have less access to swiftness now though.

While I agree with everything you said, I don’t think SF’s WvW guilds require the same level of detail in build uniformity and group composition that some of the HoD WvW guilds do. Back in tier 1 and 2, you really had to looking to find somebody walking around w/ glass armor on. I find that in Bronze league there is a movable feast of squishy bads roaming about.
That is true, only guild I know that requires certain gear is StaR, we really don’t have many hardcore WvW guilds that require stuff like that. In the perfect world people in zergs wouldn’t be using zerker gear but i don’t think people like telling others how to play.
I have never seen a guild in Dh that requires builds/classes/gear of any kind rofl (when it comes to WvW). Pretty much everyone on Dh using zerker gear cus we’re a PvE server rofl.

SF will destroy you in prime time…they are very formidable until about 3am EST. However their 24h coverage is not strong. DH seemed strong around mid-day/early afternoon NA…if you guys can hit hard then, you may or may not have a chance.
From what I can tell SF is a tight group, with some good and interesting tactics, I have learned a few things from them. For one, they are very good at supply traps (something HoD needs to get better about). They tend to be a bit Omega happy (not unlike DH) so be ready for that — sentry your keeps all day. Always build cannons first! I noticed that about DH, you guys would fortify before you would build cannons…a pair of sentries on cannons can do major damage to a golem rush if prepared.

They probably just had a larger influx of achieve hunters and whatnot, giving their population a bigger boost than other servers. Same with GoM, they turned from a server that could barely match AR into a server that challenged FC and Dh lol.

Screens or it didn’t happen! All kidding aside, I highly doubt that you have been outnumbered 10% of the time. Our 20 -30 man groups just outplay your 20-30-40+man groups.

You all would be right if it weren’t for a little thing called: variation. The HoD you faced may or may not be the same ones “server _” faces.
Populations are not static, so saying as a generalized statement that: “Server A has more people than Server B” is not really accurate. Because you always have to take into account outside variables: PVE, fairweathers, snowballing, etc.
I was fighting HoD literally 3 days ago… We outnumbered them, prior to having our population demoralized due to their superior skill. Even then we were able to keep up with them with in numbers. So my statement stands, unless Dh outnumbers SF (which is laughable), then you guys do/did outnumber HoD. You might not any more now that you’ve started losing, IDK.

Eh, good fights to the warrior from [kpd] near SW kain borders camp. That was pretty pathetic what you did after you downed me though. It’s sad to see that players with so much skill are so disrespectful, but oh well. I have to say, I’ve been really disappointed with how the Kaineng roamers act, and to the contrary quite impressed with how DR roamers act.
I had a person quit my guild, because I told him we don’t tolerate teabagging, especially to people we happen to blaze through 5 vs 2. He ended up making his own guild just for the purposes of spamming /sit. If you see any Kaineng guild called Boston Teabag Party [BAG], you will most likely get sit on for no reason.
I’ve only had 1 really rude thief from DR guild that I won’t mention in this thread. I’ve already talked to their leadership about it and hopefully it’s been resolved.
Yeah that’s always sad. Just to let you know I’m not saying your server is responsible or anything, just that my encounters with your server have been… less than pleasant thus far.
I am very pleasantly surprised by Kaineng overall though. You guys are putting up a serious fight.

Nope, reinstaled the game about 5 times last month, cant find anything to do besides loggon look at my character think the waste of time i played, go to WvW being killed by thief with 18k hearseeker on 3.8k armor after use rolls and blocks, altf+f4 come to the forum expecting some good news about any kind of update, log with my thief and kill all the roaming guardians due being easy targets until i get even more bored.
I think gw2 only please players that never played good mmo’s before.
And 18k heartseeker is literally impossible against 3.8k toughness and you’re a noob for thinking you should have upped your char’s defense to anything close to 3.8k.

He thinks something, and is asking what others think/if it is a faulty thought… There’s something called a charity filter, be charitable to other people unless given reason not to. No reason to assume it’s rhetorical unless it’s obvious/he states it, and I think it’s pretty clearly not rhetorical.
That said, it is just you and you’re wrong IMO. Guardians are not OP, they’re probably the single most balanced profession in the game. Thieves are really easy to kill in 1v2 situations because you can use your AoEs to kill em quickly, I literally accidentally kill thieves on my guardian/necro in 1v2s, as in 1v2s they tend to play more sloppy and get caught in AoEs.

Week 4 about to hit. We (DR) might get our only semi decent match of the league. DH will win of course but we used to face them often and there numbers weren’t near what hod sf or gom is putting out unless things have changed since our last bout. Speaking of this is probably the deciding week of the league with hod sf and gom all playing each other. We will get to see which is putting out the most numbers/coverage since we all know that’s what wins wvw. If I had to guess since we have played all 3 already I think sf put out the most coverage.
We outnumbered HoD in the first 3 days of our matchup rofl (IMO at least), they just beat us anyways.
I really hope GoM does well in the next match, I want them to win so bad rofl. Other than that, it’ll just be SF’s zerg Vs. HoD’s skill/organization tbh, though I think SF’s numbers will win it for them in the end.

Yesterday afternoon during one of our biggest downtimes we literally had the Brazilians running away from us by just walking in their direction.

Moral of the story keep your omegas in your own BL. You will need them there more than ours.
Lol Devon you think you punished us or something, but it’s not your awesome play that let you keep our keep, it’s the fact that Dh had pretty much given up long ago. You notice that we hardly have any people compared to what we used to? By the end of our match with FC/GoM, we consistently had at bare minimum 2 large zergs going, and would often queue maps. We’re just not showing up. It’s not that you taught us a lesson and owned us, it’s that we let you win cus we don’t care…
I’ve repeatedly complimented you guys for playing well, but don’t push it lol. Darkhaven, if we cared enough, has the numbers to force you to lose that keep with relative ease by heavily attacking 2-3 maps simultaneously. We just didn’t care enough to.

You do realize that there is 4 maps? You also realize that a lot of people get bored on DH map since frankly there isnt much to do. When we go there you guys leave your map. Yesterday afternoon during one of our biggest downtimes we literally had the Brazilians running away from us by just walking in their direction.

I feel bad for GoM lol. They got 3rd place against Dh and FC, and look at how FC is doing against SF and Dh is doing against HoD lol. I mean, towards the end of our matchup, Dh pretty much just took and held all of their stuff, literally, their EB stuff and their BL stuff belonged to Dh like 90% of the time. I really don’t think any bronze server is going to have fun in match against both HoD and SF lol.

Let me tell you, the Brazilians of your server are real adamant about not leaving bay alone after wiping countless times. I can hear all the screaming in Portuguese now.

I’m predicting HOD wins this week by no less than 50k points. I’m going to love the next 2 weeks fighting SF, it will ultimately decide who wins Bronze League.
They’ll win by way more than 50k points. Dh could stop them, we coulda kept it within 30 or maybe even 20k if we tried, but we’re tired at this point. It takes a lot of effort, and a lot of money, that we just won’t put out to have a higher score. Keep that in mind though, the point disparity we will have is not out of being incapable of doing better, but of being unwilling. :/

) so be ready for that — sentry your keeps all day. Always build cannons first! I noticed that about DH, you guys would fortify before you would build cannons…a pair of sentries on cannons can do major damage to a golem rush if prepared.
