Has it been proven that the brother and sister are not the same person? I haven’t watched the fan videos on that channel so all I have heard is the girl’s video that someone put on a mirror site.
If you had watched the whole video you would have heard the brother talk at the end of it
Maybe will be hard for sister to prove innocent if she really is. She mention in video account that cheat (just admit this today) sent to her gold for Christmas. If account cheat send gold to other account with same IP it will look very suspicious. Or if she use same computer to play of account that had this cheat software install will also look very suspicious. If sister is innocent I think Anet will figure this out. But in video they make they say will never play GW2 again anyway then guess it do not matter.
Honestly, even if she is innocent she’s screwed because he sent her gold. I mean maybe they’d be willing to unban her and take away the 200g but I’d guess not since sending gold to an unbotted account is a really common way of trying to get around bans.
Dude if I were his sister I’d be beyond kittened at him…
They’ve been saying it’s something they want to do for over a year. Heck Colin was saying it’s something they want to do but there are technical limitations back at PAX East last year. Hopefully it’s something we’ll be hearing about soon™.
I really really do not want them to implement scaling in raids. Yes it would be nice to not have to take exactly 10 people but as soon as you start doing that all sorts of other problems arise.
You get points where having specific numbers of players will make bosses significantly harder or easier, which effectively cause whole new cap points people will exploit and makes things more frustrating for people who just want to take everyone who wants to raid. And there’s no real way to 100% avoid that unless fights are pretty stagnate, which would be really boring.
There’s also the fact adding scaling would create more opportunity for bugs and exploits to be found/unintentionally created.
Having it just be one size allows for greater variability in mechanics and and overall smoother raid experience.
Hopefully you have realised this already and understand that people quit for this reason
No most players quit because they finished hot already or 95% of it.
And your quantitative data showing most players have stopped playing is where?
Idk, learning recipes account wide would be nice on the one hand, but it would undermine the ability to level alts through crafting a bit. I’d really really like some text on recipes to indicate which character (if any) already knows the recipe.
It would be nice if they are account bound for the recipes that you have to buy or get lucky with rng with or get via an achievement chest.
AH, yea that is definitely a good point

Mastry points should exist
Locking core content like themain story behind gates for which MPs need to be ground out to unlock is simply a kitten move.
By all means gate OPTIONAL content like raids behind rubbish like this but don’t lock out the content many people are mainly interested in a game like GW2 for: THE STORY!
GW2 pre-HOT was great, no artificial time-sink grinds blocked access to the entire story, HOT didn’t need it either.
With Vanilla gw2, didn’t you need to level to 80 first to access the entire story? I’m not so sure low levels can do the Living story in Dry Top or Silverwastes and they never could do the Personal story with the level gate. iirc there was one Mastery point that blocked further progression through the HoT story, but it was removed shortly after the expansion launched. Other than that, you do need to progress through the maps to access the story. It is, after all, a story spread across several maps so it’s reasonable that you need to get to the new maps to do them. Rather like the way the personal story starts in your racial city and progresses across the maps until you reach Orr.
Yea the Poison one was removed because it wasn’t actually used in the story and it was a pretty deep mastery to have required.
Honestly I didn’t mind the requirements much because it allowed them to make use of more mechanics and do interesting things in the story they wouldn’t have been able to do if they didn’t know every person doing particular parts would have certain masteries.
I was experiencing the same issue in Auric Basin meta and it is incredibly frustrating. Switching to the 64-bit client does seem to have help, but it still does occasionally happen. Granted it is rare for me to have this issue now, but it does still sometimes happen
The repeatable achievements should count once, just not each time it gets repeated. At least I’m pretty sure I got credit for it. I got the meta achievement and never even set foot in the snowball mini-game.
I know they counted for me because I wasn’t expecting them to and got the meta achievement way sooner than I was expecting. They only do count once though.
Yes people who decide after Wintersday is over that they want Winter’s Presence will be out of luck, however the people who focused on doing everything else needed for it over the last few weeks and just need the Imbiber achievement to finish will be able to work on it after Wintersday is over so there will still be some demand for the drinks.
Guild Rush Mission Interface Improvement Idea
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Arlee.7038
Rushes are a bit of an issue currently . Right now even if another guild has started the rush another guild can come along and as long as long as they activate their rush they can complete it without having to wait on the first guild to finish. This an awesome thing, the downside is the tracker on the right side of the screen will just keep tracking the info for the first guild who activated the Rush.
It would be incredibly helpful if in the guild mission panel, when the rush is selected, if not only the time left on the mission is tracked but also an actual count of completions for your guild so it is easy to see how you are doing in terms of completing the mission. An added bonus would be if it could list which guildies have finished and how many times they completed.
This would greatly help guilds piggybacking on each other and prevent issues where guilds either think they have enough but end up failing or think they are going to fail but then succeed. Both cases are bad, and just improving how information is relayed would help out greatly.
HoT… love the systems changes and the new maps and new metas and I’m still finding new things in zones which is great
Also there are more than 10 Orphans. They said on Guild Chat Orphans can be found all over Tyria not just in Divinity’s Reach.
You can “consume all” on them. Save them up and use up a stack with each click.
Oh! Yay
It’s funny how different people react to different things. I am personally really happy I can get mastery points through doing adventures. I hadn’t expected that and it’s a nice bonus. Some of the adventures are more fun than others but in general I find them interesting and fun.
Didnt they say Ascended Gear to be Required for Raids?! (https://twitter.com/All_Caulle/status/649239988282875907)
Sorry m8 i dont see any reply about “balancing around” the only official response i see is from IsaiahCartwright “It’s recommended”. u mean that one?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Budget-raid-setup
you can beat the entire wing in complete exotic, ascended is not required…
Second why then make people to believe ascended gear is needed in raids as cleary stated by Crystal in that tweet?!Shes the game designer (GW2 Raids),whats the reason to?
And which she later clarified to mean highly skilled players will be able to do it in exotic other players will need the gear cushion provided by the stats. She also said the first wing was definitely doable in exotics and you’d probably want ascended. The problem is the community continually only looking at part of the information given and repeating just one part.
Feel the same thing as the OP. I mean 2 month after the realease of the expension, stronghold is taken out because of bugs, fractals are still garbage.
I uninstalled this game 2 days ago, and i read that the devs posted on reddit (hahaha not on the formum where the community is) that they are starting to intriduce fixes today on fractals and stronghold.Hahaha, the execution of this thing is so bad it’s pathetic.
They had great ideas that they waisted with their bad execution, stuborness towards the economy, dungeons, refusing to talk to the community.I’m out, and that is the last time i prepurchase anything
Is this the last time you’ll be posting too? Or do you feel compelled to keep posting about a game you’re quitting?
Also Strongholds were disabled because of A serious bug, not because of bugs as if there were many. The Devs aren’t refusing to talk to the community, click on the Dev Tracker and you can see for yourself they are posting and talking to people. And lastly there is quite a robust GW2 community on Reddit and pretending there is not doesn’t help your points either.
Honestly, imo I’m super happy Wintersday is starting today. I’m enjoying the expansion a ton, but I have reached the point where I would be fine doing other things a bit so I’ll be able to focus on the holiday stuff without feeling like I am missing things in the new content.
My issue has more to do with the fact that I have world completion, plus extra hero points from the skill point conversion(back when you kept earning skill points for leveling past 80) and I skill don’t have my elite spec full unlocked. My only hope, is getting the hero challenges in HoT done, which is difficult, since VB is usually empty when I get online and the require more than one person to do.
They changed many up to be doable solo in VB, and if you have every Hero Point out in the pre-HoT maps you shouldn’t need every HP in that zone to unlock the elite spec fully. If you’re NA feel free to add me, I’m generally always willing to help with VB points.
I was really looking forward to more ascended gear from higher level fractals and not only is there less now, but it costs more to make it yourself. The meta changed and i want a new set to run raids but the changes are just so incredibly annoying that i want to sit out until they fix the rewards.
You can just craft the exotic version of the insignias and change the stats on your current Ascended armor using the mystic forge instead of crafting a whole new set.
Expect to be able to spend those on future elite spezialisations, allowing you to unlock them without having to collect new hero points first.
Just as we were able to do this in HoT.
…oh wait.
Oh wait what? You were able to spend them on the new elite specs. If you are upset you didn’t need to use all your hero points go cry to all the people who cried on the forums about elite specs costing 400 hero points.
Arenanet isn’t forcing your Ranger to be a Druid the people you play with are. I’ve done more than a few raid groups where a Ranger (not Druid) was present and it was totally fine.
You realize the people who make the stuff that goes on the gem store aren’t the people who fix bugs or change game systems right? This is the same thing as people who yell at Rubi to stop posting on Twitter and fix the game. In both cases it’s really misplaced and dumb to do so.
I haven’t felt forced to do adventures at all. I did some here and there but not many. Then I was noticing I was actually starting to run low on Mastery points so I started focusing on those and I was told you can get them by doing adventures and I’m super happy it is an option.
I guess it’s a perspective thing, but yea I’m not bothered by it at all.
Every time I’ve managed to be on a map that completes the meta event I’ve gotten DC. I’m using the 64 bit client. It’s so bad I’ve just stopped wasting time on it.
kitten , I was hopeful switching to the 64 bit client would fix this
You can block and report by right clicking the name of any who whisper you (or post in mapchat). It’ll not only stop them from bothering you but also help Arenanet get rid of them quicker. Everyone wins… well not the gold sellers but that’s fine
I wouldn’t call it a joke. I like how there is a set time for map resets so I know when to log into a DS run (or any other map for that matter) but don’t penalize us when we make it to the meta…
I do like that system, though I would argue the reset on Tangeled Depths is too long, but the issue with maps opening and closing and DC’s can map taking part in successful maps pretty impossible
Actually I am enjoying the process so far. I have so many mats saved up I’m doing pretty good, though donating all my Mithril to my guild did slow me down a bit lol. Honestly the only thing slowing me down at this point is the WvW and PvP token because I don’t do either of those often.
Anyway, buying something off the TP is just totally meh to me. I mean that’s how I got my precuser for my first Legendary (because I never did get a single one of any type through playing) but this feels far more satisfying to me. And I play GW2 for various experiences not to have tons of gold so meh
This also has been happening on Auric Basin (and I would assume all the HoT maps) as well. Have a nicely progressing meta, get the message to change maps, people take it because the assumption is you would be going to a more populated map which ostensibly would also mean the meta should be going well, but hey when you get there seems like no one is on the map and nothing has even started.
I have to guess there is some problem with the map system and it isn’t functioning properly, but kitten it is frustrating
I have the same issue in Auric Basin and it makes me super sad. I come back and not have lost all my map participation but I also go from a map on the cusp of beating the event to one which hasn’t even started
How is every fractal swamp now? If you don’t have a group already and don’t want to do swamp put yourself in the group finder for any other level which isn’t swamp. I see people wanting all different levels in there all the time, and the group I sometimes run with does various levels as well. I’m pretty sure Jademaw and Ascalon are the two I haven’t done since HoT came out. I did do swamp though because I needed something from Mossman for my Howler pre-cursor.
I’m sorry it just doesn’t make much sense to me you are having trouble doing different ones.
They haven’t posted anything here since the release of HoT despite the plethora of issues. I haven’t checked but I’m betting they are posting in the spvp forum.
I think it’s a disgusting way to treat the customers who just shelled out to buy your product!
That’s how Anet rolls these days.
If you just click on the Dev Tracker you’ll see your statement is absolutely false. They may not be posting about what you want them to post but they have been posting.
GW2 an esport? No, that’s obvious. Is the sPvP in GW2 an esport? Yes, again pretty kitten obvious. There are competitions where people compete and win money. That’s pretty all the qualification needed.
I like them and would love to see them add a whole lot more to the central Tyria area.
Ditto. I have been really enjoying them overall. My only real issue with them is it’s often not clear what needs to be done to unlock them.
Huh, that’s interesting. To me it always feels like the flutes take less time not more. Guess I’ll need to station my toons at same ores and do some time clocking because now I’m curious. Might be just because I like them so much that it feel shorter.
Anywho, yea if you don’t like them you can always ask for a refund/that maybe CS could swap them for a different tool. Doesn’t hurt to ask
That’s a question with no definite right or wrong answer, plus a lot of it hinges on your personal opinions/feelings. For example I have Dreamer on my Ranger but I am usually playing my Ele or Rev these days. I don’t regret getting the Dreamer for a second (it is my only legendary). You might feel differently. But it’s not a question anyone can really answer for you
The ability to do festival jumping puzzles and pvp with friends.
They must be pretty desperate getting people to stay playing
You must be blind if you think there is a lack of people playing currently…
And yay I hope SAB does come back soon. I never finished all the things I wanted to do last time it was in.
Because if you know about a bug fixing it is easy right? -_-
The no viable shoulder part of it is one of the best parts Of course this means it only loots good with certain armors, but that’s true of most skins. As for the trail of bats, were you expecting them to swirl around you more? That would be cool, but I’d have to imagine they’d get in the way a lot, especially when using first person.
@Raven. You can’t even open the story line till lvl 80.
That doesn’t really matter because you don’t have to do the story to get into Verdant Brink, you can just run through Silverwastes and get in through the portal.
There’s two posts in the bug report forums about the broken/bugged challenge missions.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Guild-Challenge-won-t-start/first
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Guild-Challenges-Broken/first#content
Hopefully now that the holiday from last week is done we’ll at least get a “we’re looking into it” post. Really frustrating to not be able to do them.
Other than that the missions have seemed to go pretty well for us, though we have had issues with Quaggan Rush but then that’s had issues for awhile and it’s unlikely to be related to the guild mission revamp. Slightly annoying that rewards from doing missions are a bit delayed so we all stand around for a moment after finishing to get the reward, most of the time it seems to take about 30 seconds to pop-up.
Anywho, aside from the issues I’ve mentioned missions seem to be going well for us and our attendance is holding steady. Also, having the new squad UI really helps out
I haven’t seen anything about it, so I am guessing it’s a bug.
We have the same issue on guild challenges
What’s wrong with OP’s point? Outworld should be mostly soloable, that’s totally correct.
It’s mostly soloable, just very challenging. Having other people ease it.
It’s as simple as that.
Central Tyria is only soloable, because it’s so boring noone else want to come with you.
Pretty much this. The majority of the time I’ve been running around alone and it’s fine. I just have to you know, actually pay attention to what I’m doing. It’s actually a nice change from the rest of the zones where it’s extremely boring because nothing is ever a threat.
lmao, remember those of us saying this “expansion” was not worth the full asking price?
All of you were like, they havent released all the info yet, there’s also living story, the maps are big with 3 levels, etc etc.
Do you think it’s still worth it?
Yep, I sure do. I’m a ton of fun in the expansion and there’s still tons left for me to do. Plus still have raids to look forward to. I don’t regret the money I spent on it one iota.
They said upfront crafting the precursor wasn’t going to be easy and was going to take a fair amount of time. Basically instead of having to play the RNG game we are doing a bunch of different things which take time for a guaranteed precursor.
As someone who was never able to get any precursor through the old system (despite diligent effort to it) this new system is fair. I’m not sure why you were expecting it to be any different than it is.
