For those who don’t want to download a random file on a random site, heres a picture version of condition damage I’ve made (including fear).
The formulas for all conditions (WvW & PvP) at level 80 are:
Torment = 32 + (0.11 * condition damage) per second
Torment (Moving) = 32 + (0.11 * condition damage) per 0.5 seconds
Bleeding = 42.5 + (0.05 * condition damage) per second
Confusion = 65 + (0.075 * condition damage) per hit
Poison = 84 + (0.1 * condition damage) per second
Burning = 328 + (0.25 * condition damage) per second
Fear = 362 + (0.3 * condition damage) per second
Fear (With Condition) = (362 + (0.3 * condition damage)) * 1.5 per second

@Ascii, 30.30.30.30.30 is a glass cannon build I know this because of extensive testing and theory crafting on the best character build sites.
Nuh-uh, I’ve been testing this build in the highest competitive bracket there is (12.7% – 13.4%) and everyone including developers have told me my build is meta and highly effective, totally unique and praised my ingeniousness.
I know Necrementalis much better then you and noone knows how to play this build properly except me, but unfortunately i cant provide you with evidence except a name that in no way relates to the build, a vague description and no video.

He could of used DS-2 to escape the ranger elite during the first fight & he only rallied because the enemy thief killed the warthog in the back. Warrior would of vengeanced and stomped him. Also, downed by a 4 signet warrior?

Not to be negative, but i really don’t see how any of these can be considered “meta” or even “Overpowered”. 30/30/10 would out-preform every build here from a PvP point of view.

If they changed Paralyzation to not increase Fear then they would have to reword every stun and stun-breaker in-game.
If it can be removed with a stun-breaker, then its a stun and therefore should be affected by Paralyzation.

- Staff 1 is one of the only ranged auto-attacks that naturally pierce without a trait, 20% like every other ranged weapon auto-attack is fine.
- Giving Necros access to guaranteed confusion would mean we have guaranteed access to every condition there is. enough said.
- The point of DS5 is not & should not be thakittens unstoppable, i don’t know were you got that idea from. Such a powerful skill that acts mostly as a passive needs some kind of counter gameplay to it and that is in the form of the cast time, personally i think it needs to be upped to 0.5s.
- -50% condition duration or -50% damage taken would make us unkillable, literally. If Undead needed any kind of rework i would have it give 1% more damage per 10% LF. rather then 5% when above 50%.
The fact your complaining about the huge versatility buff we received calling them ‘worthless’ makes me question if you actually want necros to be broken OP instead of balanced, but let me put it this way;
Spectral Walks LF boosting effect (+3% per hit taken for 8 seconds) has been making me unkillable in DS when in large scale WvW as i regen more LF then i take in damage.

Dagger 2: What do you mean by ‘cant cast without a target’, are you expecting to randomly be able to press 2 and heal for its amount? its called life siphon, thats like saying you should gain health from Vampiric by randomly swinging your weapon.
Staff 1: Every projectile in the game lists a 20% chance, im not sure why ours should be any different.
DS-5: If it was instant cast (and not the 0.25s it is atm) there would be no way to prevent it being cast.
Vengeful Marks: Guaranteed access to Confusion? don’t think so. The lore experts would eat devs for breakfast.
Strength of the Undeath: Firstly having -50% condition duration or -50% damage taken would simply be game breaking (as you could hit -115% condition duration or -95% damage taken) and im not sure why you would want it to scale with LF missing surly that would promote spamming DS just for the passives.
Although i personally think its fine as it is, your suggestion should of been 0.5% per 10% LF you have.

unfortunately with all the pre-patch hype people ‘heard’ Necros were becoming “OP” and had already decided to re-roll one beforehand, IMO Necromancers got a buff yes, but arnt OP.
PvP builds got really hit with the Terror jump forcing Terror or Master of Corruption plus Corrupt Boons nurf.
WvW Necromancers got buffed with more AoE offensive power (Well CD & Torment) with a slight buff in survivability for people using any kind of LF spectral on hit skill.

with 200 healing power, my vampiric is doing:
28 damage, 27 healing.
and traited with 50% im doing;
42 damage, 41 healing.

I’ll admit, part of it is me being a miser and not wanting to grab a second axe for my necromancer. I also haven’t given too much thought to sigils yet, I’ve just got a stacking sigil on my Axe. What would you use in the off-hand weapons in that scenario?
I don’t get it, using 2 Sigils of Battle on both axes will massively increase your damage.
Axe/ Warhorn + Axe/ Dagger with battles in the axe and force/ accuracy in the off-hands.

I am wondering if the “damage while moving moving part” counts casting, blinking,shadowstep and leaps etc as movement.
If not i don’t see the use of this condition since most classes move in combat trough casting/skill activation.
The damage is triggered per second whilst the target is moving normally, skills that blink/ teleport or anything else moving you from one spot to another through “range” wont proc Torment.

Remember in order to get access to the 4 second burn you gain +30% condition duration which naturally makes Dhuumfire burn for 5 seconds with with a typical hybrid build on around 1200 condition damage deals 3.2k damage every 10 seconds.

Granted, there is arguably more a necro can do with burning, but still this annoys me…
New Grandmaster trait – Dhuumfire: Inflict burning to opponents for 4 seconds on critical hit. This effect can only occur once every 10 seconds.
Compared to the Engineer
Adept trait – Incendiary Powder: 100% chance to inflict burning for 4 seconds on critical hits. This effect can only trigger once every 10 seconds.
Engineers use bombs, grenades, pistols and rifles. Its kind of self explanatory why they get access to burning quicker & more so then Necromancers.

All Fears cause the person to run away from the caster, not the source of the Fear.
You can see this by standing in-front of a monster and place the mark behind him and then using DS-3 to fear him into the mark, the monster will hit the mark and continue to be Feared away from you.

Not really.
Drop bone minions for epidemic and run a condi engineer. massively ups the damage and control a duo can put out.
Noone should need a boon support class in PvE.

Ah you are right… I had forgotten about that…
I do in WvW run terror and master of corruption, which I will not be able to do now. Guess master of corruption is done for now in WvW. I will still use it in PVE though.
To be fair Terror WvW roaming really wasn’t affected, if anything it got a massive boost with the additional free 3.2k damage & new fear.
If i roamed with Terror i would use something like this;

I think it was a precaution to the new burning trait, building terror 30/10/10/0/20 would of allowed double tick terrors with burning, still keep greater marks and allowed us to drop Nightmare runes for something else.

It was reduced from 50% to 30% to prevent perma-stability however you can still keep an almost perma up-time with a typical boon duration setup.
Terror moving up to master was kind of expected too, now its a choice between greater marks or 2nd terror tick.

How soon is “soon” :P see someone like me sitting on 10k achievement points have been begging for such a system for months now.
If you got most of those through the small repeteable achievements like “Agent of Entropy”, I would expect you to be in for a bad awakening when those points are not considered in the achievement rewards. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s one of the reasons why it’s taking so long for ArenaNet to implement this – finding a way to reward achievement points without rewarding ways to basically exploit them.
They patched Hobby Dungeon Explorer and Agent of Entropy when they launched the highscores (not that i had more then 200 AP in either of them) so its capped.
I have pretty much fully completed every tab there is and am one of the highest NA AP holders there is.

That’s the whole “double edged sword” people spoke about, by leaving the base the same it would auto-scale past what it is now for people who have Vampiric but don’t have a Life Stealing build.
Vampiric, Vampiric Precision and Vampiric Rituals don’t need to be ‘buffed’ as there values at base for a typical power or well build is fine but they do need to scale with HP which means balancing out the 200 – 350 HP these types of builds have from Death to Life & Blood Magic.

That having Healing Power on a profession where only Regeneration benefits from it is a complete waste.
Consume Conditions (both values) and Signet of the Locust both scale with HP.
Taste of Death and Deathly Invigoration also scale with HP and Regeneration can be perma-spammed on Necro too.

Reducing the base heal of vampiric traits will make them totally useless for non-healing power builds.
Healing Power points from the trait-line itself? Death to Life? I think you’ll find if you did your math a standard Power build will have enough HP to still heal around 25.
Vampiric should only be more effective for people who go heavy into life steal builds, not for casual players who have Vampiric because they put 20 points in Blood Magic for well CD.

Vampiric, Vampiric Precision & Vampiric Rituals should should all scale with Healing Power and there is no reason why they shouldn’t already.
There heal bases should be dropped by around 50% and then scale to around 150% total for a bog standard HP PvP amount (1,100).
Example:
Vampiric
Siphon health whenever you hit a foe.
((Level * 0.125) + 5) + (HP * 0.025)

Assuming the notes are correct this is most likely an early draft and missing alot of context on skills such as;
- What movement Torment procs off (range/ general).
- Number of targets that can be proc’d by Fear off Spectral Wall.
- If Corrupt Boon prioritizes boons, strips first 5 applied or completely random.
“Death shroud: New ability #5 – Dark Binding: You tether all enemies within a 600 range, constantly dealing Torment to them over time. At the end of the cast, Dark Binding immobilizes all affected enemies still within the radius.”
Reading Dark Bindings effect and taking an educated guess, i would say Dark Bindings works similar to Symbol of Wrath. It will cause 1 second of Torment to everyone in 600 range every second for its duration and them immobilize at the end of its cast. It sounds like it will be a movable channel skill similar to Life Transfer.

Its impossible to say what class & build counters what accurately its completely dependent on your own skill & build.
You would need to say/ show what build your using for WvW and what role your playing in order to get accurate answers as to classes that will counter you.
Also don’t forget the entire meta for both WvW & PvP will shift post 25th.

Simple yet big change for thousands of players, please reduce the amount of achievement points given from daily achievements from 11 to 5 (the first 5 achievements completed for your daily completion).
Quite often i find myself spending 2 hours or more knocking out all the daily achievements + pvp achievements just to stay competitive on the rankings and this really takes away from the fun and general gameplay i enjoy.

Are you sure? I thought Vitality was the amount of health you had and Toughness was to reduce the amount of damage you took?
Correct.
- Vitality increases Health (100 VIT = 1000HP)
- Toughness reduces the amount of direct damage you take.
Following gw2buildcraft formula the damage reduction you should be receiving can be worked out for Necromancers by;
100 * ((Toughness – 916) / Armour)
Here’s a table of the % reduction i mocked up going from 0 toughness to the highest i could achieve (+1,685 Toughness)

Torment for thieves and mesmers, pretty scary.
Only single target for Thieves and Mesmers though, AoE torment for Necromancers will be deadly in large zerg fights especially with Spectral Wall.
