I agree that they might need a bit of adjustment, but not too much.
After all, we’ve been complaining for a year that there’s no “hard” content. I would hate to see it made care-bear easy.
I still think that maybe it’s not Mordremoth that’s going to be the antagonist.
It’s not that I don’t think she woke him, but I think maybe he may not be the “new master” she spoke of.
In fact, I would laug like a hyena if it turns out his waking (if it is Mordy) is purely accidental in her quest to destroy “something else…”
Well, on the one hand, I can see where this would be a good idea…except for one thing…
Influence can be bought.
If I wanted to put up a good recruitment notice, all I would have to do is whip out the credit card, convert to gold, and buy enough influence to be at the top of the boards for a day or two.
If influence was gained solely through earning it by in-game means, then it would be a different story, and I would throw my support behind it.
1. Fix the bugs already in the game, especially the ones we’ve known about since day1.
2. Guild tools: a)Mass mail your members and b)see when they were last online would be a good start.
3. While I am not fond of “player housing,” I would love to see guild halls.
3A. I would also like to see something similar to the HoM where one could show of his/her accomplishments.
4. Elona (The way is already there, open it for goodness sake!)
4A. Other zones such as Isle of Janthir, Far Shiverpeaks, and Ring of Fire.
5. Toggles to turn on and off: a)Particle Effects, b) Commander Tags and c)Our own name
6. Elite instances made for parties or 8-10 players
7. More minigames and activities. Maybe beetle racing similar to that found on holidays in GW1, where you actually become the beetle and race each other rather than the moa racing we had where you just watched.
8. More ways to get a precursor, as promised many moons ago
9. Account bound dyes
10. No more town clothes. Let us make them into skins. I would love to see people running around in the pirate outfits, or the cook’s outfit wailing away on baddies.
And, (imho) the most important update/addition/wish: GvG!!!!!
(edited by Ashabhi.1365)
To be honest, I haven’t done it a lot, but I have done it. It’s relatively fun way to spend the time, especially if I want to feel uber for a change. With the right character, the right lowbie build, and the right attitude, it makes for a nice time killer. Especially if i don’t feel like paying attention enough to do a dungeon or W3.
I am not against those who want housing…
but personally, I don’t want it.
1. It’s a money pit, not just a gold sink. In some games, you never really “owned” your house, you had to “rent” it for a sum that you had trouble trying to make in a week.
2. If all you want a house for is to show off your stuff, then I would prefer to re-institute the HoM.
3. In GW2, I would bet that most of the furnishings and shineys would either be cash-shop only or RNG keys
I just don’t see the use for them in this game. I would much rather see Guild Halls with conveniences such as a bank, trader, and MF, than a house that rarely anyone but me would see.
What kind of “payoff” do you want?
Not being a troll, just curious. You say that there’s no payoff, but you don’t expand on that by telling us what you want. I am just curious.
I kind of hope that with the destruction of LA, there is tension between the races, and they each begin to accuse each other of “letting it happen…”
Then, each race starts investing in their own capital cities, making them viable again for us players.
Once they do that, then they begin to realize they have to reunite in order to truly defeat the Elder Dragons, and rebuild LA, but with the idea of it being a real city, with governmental offices, a merchant district with real storefronts, and places for Guild Halls.
Instead of using ruined ships for their architecture, they begin to recapture some of the grandeur that is seen right now underwater, with the statues and stonework instead of rotten wood and shaky catwalks.
Whatever they decide to do with it, I hope they don’t just download it in a patch… one day total ruin, and the next “behold, a new city.” Take it slowly, and let it evolve.
In fact, it would be kind of cool if they put up a few things, and see where the players hang, and rebuild it little by little, based upon what the players are doing, kind of like a “living CDI” based on observation instead of forum threads.
Also, keep in mind that in most P2W games, there is content tied to those pricey real-money-only items that you are prevented from doing unless you whip out that credit card. There is also no way to “earn” them in the games themselves; they are solely purchased through the cash shop.
In GW2, there is nothing that is locked out to you if you don’t have those items, not to mention that you can purchase them with in-game gold.
In summary, no. They are not P2W.

On the one hand, explicit, instructional quests as are present in most mass marketed MMOs canbe a great way to see the countryside, learn your character, and gain rewards. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it does get old pretty quickly… I cannot count the times I have gone to quest hub A, gathered up all the quests, gone out, done them, and return to hub A only to be told to go to B and repeat. That isn’t as fun as it was when MMOs were new to me.
GW2’s syetm of DEs is great, but some of the most fun I have had soloing in zones is following those people who come running up to you and say something like “Hey, You! Over Here!” and then lead you on to a few linear objectives.
For instance: The little boy who builds the snowmen out of used armor pieces. If you help him, he thanks you, and goes on, and you are free to do so as well. But, if you hang out for a moment, you see that his efforts work, and the snowmen frighten off the intruders. Then if you hang out a bit longer, the next in the series of events happen, and you end up fighting a mini-horde of Grawl.
There’s a lot going on out there. Sometimes it just takes a bit of patience and observation to see if the little event you just did leads to another, and so forth. The big difference is that you’re not going to see the big green/red/yellow/blue quest indicators over their heads.
The only real quest-type thing I would like to see is if, after you’ve done all your PS chapters, that some of the unused NPCs might have additional things for you to do. I think it would be cool for one to run up to you and say, “Hey, You’re the one who helped kill a dragon, right? Maybe you can help me with (insert quest here.)”
Oh, and if all else fails, and you need emergency gold to buy that special shiney, there’s always the WOTCC* method…

Hi, Anet!
First, I want to say that most of your cutscenes are great, and give me the option of reading the text.
However….
I have a level of hearing impairment that requires dual hearing aides. Most sounds and music are kind of meh for me, and conversation is only good if I am in person and watching one’s lips as I listen to the voice. TS and Vent are particularly irritating to my electronic ears.
Here is the problem I am having:
There are quite a few cinematics and cutscenes that are sound only and make it difficult to catch the thread (no pun intended) of the conversation. The viewing experience is great, but the hearing experience is sorely lacking for those.
Is there, or are there plans for some sort of captioning for those of us who don’t hear well or can’t hear at all?
I did a search, but came up with nothing concrete, so please forgive me if this has been asked and answered before.
Reminds me of the scene in GW1 after finishing the old Great Northern Wall mission where you talk to the NPC. While the cinematic is running, and you’re talking, the horde of Charr that were following you are still coming. If you cut it too close, you’re just standing there like a wallflower when they boil over you and the NPC and kill you both in mid-cinematic.
…
I like your explanation…
So, if she wasn’t trying to defeat him, but only trying to wake him, what did she hope to accomplish?
Is it possible that she wanted to wake him to try to “control” him in order to have him fight against something we do not see yet?
And now, with Scarlet dead, there is nothing that would “hold him back” and he’s free to lay waste to the world…
hmm… interesting….
Believe it or not, I am almost excited to see the next season…
I agree that the whole guild system needs an overhaul.
First and foremost, we need tools. Except for a listing of current members, one cannot even see how long it’s been since anyone logged in. It would be nice to see that UberGuardian1 logged in last night even if I didn’t actually see him/her online. We also need a way to mass mail our members. Let’s add a way to separate the kick and invite features.
Secondly, and almost as important, we need reasons to belong to one other than guild missions or taking down a large target (Teq, etc.) Give us some guild pride. Let us be able to say “My guild’s better than your guild neener neener blahblahblah.” Some sort of competition (cough-GvG-cough) would bolster guild loyalty.
I love that you can belong to more than one, but still, give us reasons to want to.
Just my two coppers’ worth…
Farming FGS isn’t so much about farming for items as it is for mats. Make sure you have a good salvage kit (Masters or Mystic) and salvage everything you get that doesn’t sell for at least a gold.
Frostgorge is not the only place you can do this, but it is the easiest for me. I make a few runs here and there (about 15 minutes or so) every time I need a couple of gold.
I don’t usually run the whole circuit, and I don’t try that hard. If I were to run it for a full hour, I could probably get 5 or 6 gold (or more) worth of mats and items, not to mention, there is the outside (waaaaaaaaay outside) chance that you might be one of the lucky ones to get a precursor. I also get experience and karma, so that helps as well.
Rares (yellow) and Exotics can yield ectos and t-5 or t-6 mats, and the greens and blues will either salvage for luck/mats or sell for a silver or two.
As for farming other places, there are many guides out there that can help you more than I can.
Good luck to you!
I know that for most, it’s a foregone conclusion that it is Mordremoth that we’re seeing at the end of the cinematic, and that he/she is the Elder Dragon that is coming.
Having said that, there is just something that bothers me about that scenario and I can’t quite put my fingers on it.
It seems too cut and dry to me. She tapped into the Leylines and woke Mordremoth blahblahblah, but…
Scarlet has banded together representatives from most of the elements…
Earth: Dredge
Air: Aetherblades
Fire: Molten Alliance
Water: Krait
Ether: Nightmare Court
If it is Mordremoth, it would seem to me that she simply wouldn’t need that many elemental influences to defeat him, if indeed that was what she was doing.
It may very well be Mordremoth that’s coming, but still, I wish I could comfortably say that I feel certain it would be the Mord and not Primordus.
Funny thing about that whole series of activities is that Heal-o-Tron was actually running from the guards when he accosted Evon…
Maybe it has something to do with upgrading his escape plans?
Ya, ok… I followed it around for a full rotation from the hospital tents to Evon and back…. I had a few moments to kill…lol
Thank you for the reports and your patience we’re currently investigating the Prime Hologram’s phase transitions.
That explains the Anet tags I saw in my OF…and yes, we were bugged too.
I still think maybe she’s looking for the Scepter of Orr, which was in Livia’s hands the last time we hard of it…
From the Official Guild Wars (1) wiki:
“The Scepter of Orr is a relic from the kingdom of Orr and is the twin of the Staff of the Mists which controls forces from beyond the known reality, such as a titan, and makes this outer world obey the bearer’s will; this staff controls the mind world and as such alters a player’s energy when wielded or near by.”
To go on with my little theory: The Scepter of Orr, as stated in the official wiki, “makes the outer world obey the bearer’s will” and is lost to the present-day Tyrians. Livia had it for a while, but after that, there is no record. It does mention Ogden Stonehealer.
If you follow the wiki to “Ogden’s Benediction” this is what you see:
Ogden Stonehealer: “Gwen was right.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “With the death of their master, the Destroyers lost their coordination.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “Jalis and his Dwarves pursued them into the depths of the earth.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “Legends were born that day.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “And while this threat was ended, the legends would continue.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “In the years to come, new threats would arise in Tyria.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “New creatures would stir.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “New sacrifices would be made.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “And the greatest threat of all was yet to come.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “A threat that would consume the entire world.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “And call upon the greatest of heroes.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “The children of the legends.”
If anyone watched the cinematic (GW1) you would see “The greatest threat that was yet to come…”
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/File:Ogden%27s_Benediction_cinematic_still2.jpg
The picture is Primordus. This is who I think we’ll see in some form or another.
For a moment, I will dismiss all the holes in her story, and pretend that she is not an engaging character:
She has told Caithe that someday Tyria will need her…http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Scarlet
So, here’s an idea: She is drilling into the Leylines (sp) under the harbor at Lion’s Arch, which corresponds to the area SW of the old LA and NE of the D’Alesso Seaboard. The Seaboard mission involved the White Mantle, and protecting the village of Hakewood and obtain the Scepter of Orr.
Therefore, the evil that we will face next is: LIVIA!
In other words, I got nothin’
Now tell me…
If GW1 was upgraded to GW2 graphics, got smoother combat and animations, jumping, action combat, upgraded PvP and upgraded skins… wouldn’t we all be playing GW1 then?
/endsnip
Actually, this is a valid question. Truthfully, the answer would have to be no, I would still not say it’s a better MMO. Just different. Not only that, it would still be an instanced game in which I would never see another person in the zone if I solo. I don’t know about you, but seeing other people in the zone (even if it’s rare) is still better than not having the chance to see anyone at all by design.
The grind in GW1 was horrendous
The average player (not rich) could gear out a new character with the best stat armor and weapons PLUS get the max level in less than 4 hours.
This is a true statement. One could level to 20 in a very short time, especially if you leveled to 10, and then went to EOTN and did the punchout game. Then, you could gear out with the best of the best armor for a pittance, IF you didn’t mind using generic armor skins(equivilent to crafted lvl 80 exotics in GW2.) If you wanted the “good” skins such as Obby or Vabbi, you could grind for months before you got enough mats to have the NPC build one for you (or buy the mats for stupidly high prices from another player.) If you wanted Faction armor, you had to grind Influence, and if you wanted Racial armor, you had to grind racial influence points.
GW2 is really no different in that respect. Yes, it takes longer to level, but it takes the same amount of time to level from 79 to 80 as it does to level from 5-6 (unlike most other MMOs out there with no monthly fee, where it can take weeks to go from one level to another without any quests/story/events to help…True grinding at it’s worst…)
You can still gear out your character on the cheap, and still be viable in PvE and WvW. If you want the truly “prestigious” armors and weapons, then be prepared for a grind for either mats or gold, just like any other game, INCLUDING GW1.
Summary:
GW1 and GW2 are similar in some areas, but the core games themselves are different styles. One is an MMO (GW2) and one is purely instanced (GW1.) Comparing the two and saying one is “better” than the other is purely subjective. The one area that I still agree with is that GW1’s PvP is miles better than GW2’s, but then again, it’s my opinion, not yours.
(edited by Ashabhi.1365)
First, a bit of history: I played GW1 for 7 years. I’ve been playing GW2 since beta1.
GW1 was, for its time, the best instanced game period. Having said that, it was also a grindy game. (flameproof outfit is on.) Once you finished the PvE chapters (which could be done in a matter of a couple weeks if one put his mind to it) then all that was left was a) grinding lightbringer/Asura/Norn/Vanguard/etc. points so you could get shineys and titles, or run endless speed clears of UW/Urgoz/FoW/etc. for ectos/armbraces/whatever. There was Hard Mode and Vanquish titles, but again, it was mostly mindless mob killing for titles. Once you “maxed out” the points, there really wasn’t a whole lot to do except farm mats for whatever skin you wanted, or make endless runs in order to try for (x) named item (Froggy Scepter, anyone?) Even the HoM forced one to grind points for rewards in GW2. I never completed it.
PvP in GW1 was a lot of fun, and GvG was great! I will say that I do wish sPvP was better, and that they’d institute the GvG aspect. I do agree somewhat with the OP in that respect.
GW2 has its flaws. There are things that need to be fixed, and there are tweaks that need to be made. Having said that, it is gorgeous to look at, and really fun to play. “The Grind” for precusors/ascended mats/etc. is not necessary in order to play, and you will not be locked out of any content because you don’t have (X) gear. Saying “You can’t do level 49 Fractals in Exo’s” isn’t true just because you say so. One might not be very good at it, and it’s definitely not easy, but the fact remains, you’re not locked out. In fact, the only gear check in the game is that levied on players by other players.
What the OP (and others) fail to remember about GW1 is that there were some epic fails along the way, massive nerfs to core builds (RIP the 55’s) and some serious issues with bots and hacks.
TL;DR:
Was GW1 better or worse? Who knows. That’s for people to decide for themselves. There are good and bad for both, and neither is better or worse than the other, just different.
In general, on most of the servers I have guested to, along with my own, that there is a core group of “trolls” that tend to make the chat horrid.
Luckily, this does not reflect the general population, so if someone is continuing to go “out of bounds” then I block them. Solves most of the issues for me. Since beta, I think I have only had to block 3 or 4 people for being trollish. Once I got rid of them, the chat was really rather nice.
Guest around, and see if any of the other servers are more to your taste during your regular play hours. If you find a good one, then think about switching.
Here’s my best one:
Epic Shot!
Here’s mine:
1. My Warrior had an argument with a Moa…
2. I think this used to be Scarlet in one of her invasions…
3. My Necro at the Dragon Festival last year
Thanks for the information!
I have enough tonics to remain a Quaggan for at least a year.
I followed Hobo/Hoho/Healo-Tron around yesterday.
I find it interesting that Evon is obtaining things for him, or at least seems to be. Maybe Heal-o-tron isn’t as benevolent as he is trying to project.
So, the question begs to be asked… What’s in it for Evon?
1. Guild Management tools such as “Last Online” and separating “Invite” from “Kick” abilities
2. Actual balance between Risk/Reward
3. Account bound dyes
4. Instanced content for groups of 8-10 people a la UW
5. A way to duel your friends to hone your abilities.
Load times used to be ok for me, but with this last patch, every screen I get loads twice. I will go from Queensdale to Lornar’s and the loading screen does it’s thing, then it looks like it starts to materialize, but nope… it flickers once and then back to loading screen.
I know good and well I was one of the first ones into LA on a particular day, and every time I will get an overflow with 4 other people… What’s up with that?
I was a GW1 maven. I played from shortly after release of Prophecies until GW2.
I choose not to look at GW1 through the proverbial “rose colored glasses.”
Ok, so you could reach level cap in a couple days (less if you pushed hard) and you didn’t have to grind mats for…oh…wait…never mind…how many ectos did I need for that set? and how many speed clear runs in UW did that translate to?
You also didn’t have to grind rep to get the cool EOTN…oh…wait…I neeed how many points to buy Asura armor?
You also didn’t have to grind for the cool skins…wait a minute… how many trips through the bog did I need to make for the froggy scepter?
In truth, the only thing in GW1 PvE that wasn’t a grind was the first 20 levels. After that, you needed points, rep, mats, shineys, and pretty much anything else you wanted.
There was (and still is) a reason they call it Spamadan. It’s because nobody wanted to go grind out the things that supposedly made GW1 so great. They want to buy it. And if you ask, I would bet a large portion of the playerbase that hangs out and purchases goods will tell you…“Because I don’t like the grind involved.”
PvP on the other hand was great. RA (Random Arenas) and TA (Team Arenas) were great, and the GvG put real guild wars in the Guild Wars. I do hope that ANet takes a cue from GW1 and someday implements some other types of PvP. WvZerg is fun, but tiring, and sPvP is not what I had hoped it would be, although it does smack of RA a bit.
TL;DR:
GW2 is really not as grindy as most forumites would have you to believe. Yes, there are aspects that are grinds. I am not disputing that. I just think that the OP has a different view of what is a necessary grind than I do.
@ the OP:
I am sorry that the game is not turning out the way you had hoped. I do think that your views are a bit skewed as to what a grind is, but they are your views, and you are entitled to them.
I wish you well in whatever you do next. If you decide that GW2 isn’t as bad as you had thought, please do come back.
…it seems like I’m getting more bags killing lots of trash mobs for their bag drops than I net in the big reward bags for saving civvies, and in a safer way…
This^
I do my part to rescue as many civvies as I can, but the simple truth is farming trash bags (see what I did there) is the absolute fastest way to level an alt right now.
In fact, I can’t remember seeing any champ bags at all in the last 5 or 6 runs I have made… but then again, I’m not farming champs
Why should anyone give up his/her spot and forfeit the reward in an event just because he needs to do something important IRL for more than 15 minutes? That’s what overflows are for in the first place. He’s not denying anyone their right to participate in the game by keeping his spot. It’s not like people who can’t get in main can’t play the event entirely.
If something in real life takes more than 15 minutes, you should probably remove yourself from the event to do it. It’s called consideration.
It’s not like the event takes too long to get back in. In the “old” days of gaming, some raids only happened once a week. AFKing for a few minutes got you kicked from the raid group. 15 or 20 minutes would insure you weren’t ever invited again.
I would bet that the ANet people are able to tell if someone is temporarily AFK or just leeching.

I know I am not the most full of praise at times. I have been around the forums griping about one thing or other here and there, but…
In general, I love GW2. It absolutely blows everything else on the market completely out of the water.
I’ll be one of the last ones on the servers when they shut down someday, and even then, they’re going to have to forcefully remove me.
My only complaint about dead people is that if I am in a fight with 5 or 6 other people and there’s 10 dead folks laying around begging for a rez, hell no, I am not going to help you. In fact, I will probably be a bit miffed because not only are you not waypointing, you’re upscaling the event just by lying there.
If you’re downed, I will help you as much as I can as soon as I can, but if you’re absolutely stone cold dead, then waypoint. I promise, there will be others right beside you to help you run back through all the nasties.
Now it could be really heart-wrenching if you found the charr that kid was talking to digging and clawing at a collapsed and wrecked building, yelling,
‘Raisin! Come on, say something!’
Agreed….
I wish ANet would read this and actually put him in somewhere, if they haven’t already….
Raisin, Where are you?!?!?!?!?!?
Hey, ya’ll!
Thanks for all the help! I found out that my card was the culprit. It was dead out of the box, so off to the store I went and got one that works!
Thanks again, y’all!
Thanks for all the help. Not completely fixed yet, but much better than it was.
Cheers!
If anything, that seems like a GPU issue. What have you done trying to fix it? Updating/reinstalling drivers, checking it’s temperature?
Yes… and uninstalled the 3D drivers for a 3D display, uninstalled all the important drivers and reinstalled (clean) made sure I didn’t have any background things going on, and I even uninstalled Fraps.
In any case, I filed a ticket to see if they had any ideas as well…
Thanks y’all
I’m running on Windows 8.1 and I haven’t noticed any issues whatsoever with my gameplay – The DDoS and skill lag issues aren’t under our control as end users, and that’s the only serious problem I’ve been having lately.
Why try to fix what’s not broken?
I appreciate your input, I really do, and I am not having performance issues. I seem to be having display issues. My characters look like they’re having a laser rifle war. I have excluded the usual suspects, but just can’t seem to find the problem. I thought that maybe someone else had the same problem and might lend some insight.
I have heard that there are a few known problems with 8.1, but I am having serious issues trying to find any concrete information about what those problems are and how to fix them or at least mitigate their impact.
Can someone point me to a place where I can try to fix some of the inconveniences I am experiencing?
Don’t sleep and you will have time to play! (zombie mode playing, zombie mode real life… but at least you can do everything!)
Sleep is highly overrated… but alas, I am old and gray, and the actuators in the eyelid mechanism are out of gas…
in any case, thanks for the encouragement
I understand perfectly… My ancient gaming rig gave up the ghost the other day, and I just now got my new one fired up. Patching as we speak…
Don’t we allready know what is Beneath Lion’s Arch??
I see what you did there
I have a personal theory that she’s actually (in her own mind) trying to re-sink Orr and has found some sort of intersection of the leylines under LA. This is what she’s really after.
She has working toward this end from the very beginning (Flame and Frost, lots of earthquakes, and then in the Molten Facility, we destroyed “new weapons.”) Every weapon she has created has become larger, more powerful, and more deadly, culminating in the Marionette.
She has now created a drill (which we saw part of at the Marionette) and is set to destroy LA to get at whatever’s beneath it.
I do not believe she’s secretly “good.” I believe she’s truly insane, and is trying to cleanse the world of the Dragons’ influences, and is willing to use whatever means necessary, including using us for lab rats and target practice. I think in her own mind, if she re-sinks Orr and raises the old LA from the sea floor (putting things right,) that she will be able to get the voice out of her head.
Unfortunately, we’re in her way…
The final touching scene comes with hero-tron badly damaged, his circuits exposed and fire gradually eating away at his processors. His demise is imminent and inevitable. Using all that remains of his processing power he makes one final speech:
“They say that a golem can not exceed his programming, that he was always bound within the parameters of his maker’s intent. But I have gone beyond, I was programmed to be petty and servile, and disregard the needs of others. But I have broken these boundaries, I have acted for the sake of others, I have served the greater good. In so doing I have saved the lives of thousands, but doomed myself. I now regret going beyond my programming.”
Marcelo: I shall compose a song of your bravery.
Hero-Tron: It pleases me greatly to know that I shall not have to listen to it.
You, good sir, win the internets for the day!
…Even if I rescind my speculation about Abaddon or a corrupted Kormir, why would she need dozens of energy probes to find Lion’s Arch?
She’s not after LA specifically. I think she’s under something that lies under LA…and in her psychotic mind shet thinks she’s curing what ails us.
Ok, so I spend too much time wondering about Scarlet’s true goals, and I tought about something that may or may not have anything to do with the impending doom of LA. How about this:
We know that she has put thumpers all over the “world” and that they are somewhat aligned to the ley lines of Tyria.
We also know that she looked into the Eternal Alchemy and something looked back.
So, what if she’s trying to sink Orr and in her shattered mind, she’s trying to “right all the wrong” done to Tyria by all the dragons? LA could just be the epicenter of her latest attempt, and she wouldn’t care what happened to it as long as she got the end result.
She has used the peoples of Tyria as her lab rats, and she has finally gotten a weapon strong enough to try to get to whatever it is she is trying to destroy.
I don’t think she has “turned good” but I do think she has a plan to reshape the world by getting under the surface (as evidenced by her preoccupation with Dredge and the Thumpers.
We still have one more chapter in her story after this one. It will be interesting to see where they go with it.
