Give away all your gold. Buy what you can with laurels and badges. Dump everything in the inventory of a brand new character then delete it. Keep track of any leftover laurels and badges. When you have enough to buy something, buy then delete. Problem solved. No extra programming by ANet needed.

People who aren’t native English speakers are also prone to use bad grammar.
Tell him that you are unable to help him but to contact support. A Spanish speaking person there can help him with his problem. This way you won’t hand out your information and he gets help if he needs it.
After talking to a friend, i switched my dodge to mouse button 4…was the best thing i ever did. I never accidentally die from double tap, and im never to slow trying to find v(im terrible at it)

I did this a few months back after trying various keys and it’s the best one I’ve found. My finger rests naturally on that button anyway and it’s soooo simple to push that to dodge.
After so many years in development, (5 years wasn’t it?), they probably had to release the game without all the bells and whistles. As you said, it’s mostly officers in big guilds that are burdened with it. Which means its a niche problem. Since they have to prioritize the improvements for the game, they are going first for the ones that impact the most people. And as Colin said, they know its a problem but the ones that can fix it are busy with other projects.
I’m not especially computer literate so I don’t see why you think this is a scam. I see you have a problem with your computer and you have a post in tech support. How do you know it’s not just another player who read your post and has the same type of problem and is asking for help in filling out a support ticket?
If you are suspicious but want to see if its a player asking for help, have him PM you in the forum and you can safely discuss his problem there.

As Colin Johanson said:
http://www.usgamer.net/articles/colin-johanson-talks-dungeons-dragons-and-chairs
“I would say that guild features in general are all really important to us. But people who can work on those features are the same people who are involved in a couple other very specific projects and so we only have a few of ‘em who really can work on the player and guild account databases. We’re waiting for them to finish other stuff before we can do a lot of guild-related projects. So we do have a few things in the pipeline already for guilds that are coming. As I’ve outlined in my blog post last week, I think that there’s a lot of the high level stuff that we need to finish to get the core of the game where we really want it to be. When that’s done, I think we’ll turn our eye to sort of the next round of features and a lot of those certainly are guild related things among, you know, other types of content and expanding out experiences for players and looking beyond the regions we have.”
The karma reduction really hurts someone like me that uses it to buy fancy cultural weapon skins and the like across several characters. :\
Yep. I knew I wasn’t going for a Legendary so I spent a lot of karma buying cultural weapons for my 8 characters. I spent about 1.4 million karma buying about 23 separate weapon skins at 63k karma each. If i was starting the game now, this would be difficult to afford.
However while this hurts the individual person, I suspect it’s better for the game. Now if people want karma they are going to have to go out in the game and do events. Hopefully this nerf will repopulate the maps.

You got any proof buddy?
I did a little digging, this is the best I could find.

The first one only shows that someone tried, not that someone succeeded. So it doesn’t further your case as it’s irrelevant.
If you want Gaile to review your case and it’s been over 3 days, post here in this stickied thread with your ticket number
I’m not sure what collectibles you mean as the PvP locker already has a slot for each piece of gear.
But regardless, that’s not what stops a PvE person from doing PvP. What stops them is, they simply don’t consider PvP fun.
I hardly ever visit this section of the forums, and I haven’t read other’s posts about similar. This was none of the above.. it was skill points. Regardless, it doesn’t matter that much, I had plenty of skill points to go around but I’d rather not have wasted 200 on something I didn’t need, and didn’t even think to look twice at.
Yes, I know you were talking about skill points. ^^
What I was trying to say was, they don’t have a way to give back “immaterial” items such as karma, influence, laurels, that are ‘imbedded’ in your account. Items that are not in your inventory. Skill points are similar to those items and imo will also not be able to be refunded.
For role players.
Costume items:
1. A chair, that can be sat on.
2. A glass/mug that has a drinking animation.
Just asking for fishing isn’t very helpful imo. I’ve never played “that game whose name must not be mentioned” aka tgwnmnbm. So when you talk about fishing in tgwnmnbm, what exactly did you do and why was it fun? What did you do with the fish?
Keep doing as u do A-net!
Their pase of in wich they release things is just fine! I don’t think the two week rate is a problem…
For example. I find the SAB content plain boring and will therefor not play it but do other things instead… Not all contetnt suits everuone and therefor this release pase makes sense. Some is fun, some is less fun.100% agree. I also don’t like the SAB so I won’t touch it – there is plenty of other stuff to do. It’s not like I will be left behind or ridiculed or something if I don’t do the SAB achievements. Instead I am happy that in 2 weeks we will have a new update that I will probably like.
So you don’t like SAB and now you are taking a break, doing other stuff. That’s fine, but it misses the point of this thread. What if you’ve done the last few LS and were ready for a break but this part was also something you liked or you wanted the reward? No break for you then. And that is the point. That there are no regular and expected breaks. Instead you have to wait till the patch is something you don’t like. Eventually it will get to the point where you hope the next patch is something you don’t want, just so you can take a break.

You don’t get trait points with them. They unlock the trait point tree so you can use the ones you have. Once you have unlocked the whole tree, they are useless to you. Resetting traits is done by paying a fee to the trainer.
From the previous answers to similar questions, I would say they will not have a way to return your skill points. They have said they don’t have the tools to return laurels, influence or karma.
You may contact support and ask, but I wouldn’t have high hopes of a favorable response.

+1
I’ve noticed this, especially on warhorn skills that give a speed boost. I use the speed boost skill and target a nearby mob. This causes either my pet to attack it or my warrior to strike it when going by. Both take me into combat and slow me down right when I’m trying to use my speed boost.
Skills that only effect me or allies shouldn’t cause me to target a mob.
In retrospect, it’s not surprising they did this. Multiple forum posts about having more karma than needed. People not going out in the world and doing events, which is needed to make the game feel populated. People deliberately failing events. People buying large numbers of Orrian boxes to make money and being able to recoup the karma in a short time, instead of it being an occasional purchase. You add all this together, and it’s not surprising they nerfed karma gain.

No. It’s been mentioned in the forum before though. They should have a buy back option on karma merchants and the laurel merchants that lasts until you leave the area, as these mistakes happen.
My guess it’s for multiple reasons. To encourage people to go out in the world and do events, to discourage people from deliberately failing events, to slow down the huge stockpiling of karma and to slow down making Legendaries. I’ve gotten the impression they thought making a Legendary would take much longer for most people and they are trying to bring it in line with their expectations.
Since its always prime time for someone, then they might as well do it when it’s best for them. They certainly aren’t going to come in during the middle of the night to do it. Which means, they are going to do it during their workday.
I wish they would give everyone a flat 25% speed boost, remove the speed boost on traits and the skills on weapons and make them a different skill and then remove the signet. This would mean that some weapons would stop being so needed, such as focus on Mesmer, and removing the signet frees up the utility bar for another skill. As well as giving a useful skill on the weapons that had the speed boost removed.

If they slow the pace down it would have several benefits. They would have more time to deepen the story, bugs could found before release, stories more polished and last but not least the players can have downtime to do other stuff without feeling the need to be doing the LS. I know that you don’t have to do the LS, but if you want the achieve points, to work toward your next reward chest, to do the new content and to get the reward for doing the content, then it’s mandatory. This pressure to do the content NOW, because its going away soon puts a lot of pressure on the players. There’s little time to just goof off. Roam the world. Do events. (Remember them, the original focus of the game?). Level alts. Or do whatever else you used to do.
It almost feels like the Devs have given up on players doing the original meat of the game and are desperately trying to entertain and distract us. Now it’s good to have new stuff to do. I’m not complaining about that. New content is good. But new content 24/7 without a pause leads to player burnout. It starts to feel like work and not fun.
I suspect they want to try to get people out in the world, doing DEs and whatever else pays with karma rather than relying on the jugs. And there were all those posts from people complaining they had so much karma and so little to buy with it.
2 main methods
1. Buy from the trading post
2. Go to a higher level area, which would be Kessex hills for you unless you go through Lion’s Arch. There you will be able to do hearts at your level and buy gear with karma from them.
Drops should be at your level or below no matter where you play. Normally, you don’t need to buy new gear unless your old gear is 10 levels or more lower than you. While you are leveling, gear really isn’t all that critical.
The pace is pretty fast. My guild was talking about this today and they were all a agreeing that there isn’t any breathing room. I’m skipping the SAB, at least for a week at so, so I can just roam around in the world, explore, and do other stuff besides LS. It isn’t necessary to have 100% uptime on the LS. There should be blank spots in between updates of a week or so, so people can do other stuff and anticipate an upcoming update.

“A lot of the elements that make MMOs not appealing to fans have been removed from Guild Wars 2. You’re never running around in the world and another player can run up and kill you or anything. We’ve removed all of those elements, so other players only help you and make the game more fun. That’s made the game a lot more compelling and easy for people who love role-playing experiences to get into.”
http://www.gw2state.com/temples.html is a better link and it’s accurate.
Thank you for the link. It’s better than the other site.
Your guild services; influence, upgrades, storage; all stay on the old server. You can access it by guesting to the old server but you will essentially need to start over to have it on the new server.
If they ever have free transfers, it may be in something like a blog post or patch notes. So no way for them to notify you.
If someone deletes all their characters, they can transfer for free.
Well, I’ve transmuted the appearance of my Warrior’s Fellblade to another skin. I got tired of looking at a greatsword that had a dull, rusty appearance. The smoke coming off it wasn’t visible enough to be worth it.
She is still around. I’ve done 3 invasion events in the last couple of days. I have no idea how often this happens though. Maybe someone else knows this and can say.
Oh cool! I didn’t realize invasions were still happening at a slower pace (which I prefer actually). Thanks!
On edit: Now they just need to do a better job of letting us know when and where they are. Or like someone else suggested: hopefully GW2Stuff can track them for us.
There is another similar thread where someone said it was every 3 hours. You know when it happens as a yellow announcement flashes across your screen.
If there any other indicator besides the yellow announcement message?
There is just the announcement that flashes across your screen. It needs to be added to http://us.gw2stuff.com/en

It seems to be a good pace. Often enough to catch one occasionally but not so often they are overwhelming.
Looking at the wiki, the answer is no. There is however, Dragon’s Breath Bun. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dragon%27s_Breath_Bun
Dragon’s Breath Bun
Nourishment (20 m): +200 power for 30s after killing an enemy
+10 critical strike damage
+10 Experience from kills

Farming is a-ok as long as it doesn’t break any rules.
He keeps teasing about this big project being worked on in the background.
Cantha? Elona?
Super Ascended weapons.
Ahh well then i save it for a new character.. ow wait.. it is soulbound
Please make it atleast account bound
You can break the soulbinding by transmuting to a low level white item. You will lose the stats of course but you can then move the skin to another character.

Or, take it, compose a mail to the sender and send it back.
You can’t mail Gem store items.
Hhmm, I forgot about that bit…
You can gift items. If you gift an item, don’t you then mail it to the person?
Yes and no. The store mails the item to the person. You can’t mail the items yourself. So if you for example buy an infinite coin yourself, this is accountbound on arrival and you can’t mail it to another person. You can only gift it using the gemstore option to do so.
That must be why the return option is grayed out then. It’s from ANet as gifted to him by the other person. If he takes it, it will be account bound. So, pretty much all he can do is take it, say thanks and then delete it if its unwanted.

Iim in the if a precursor drops then i’ll consider going for a legendary camp.
^ this
If a precursor falls in my lap I might do it, but messing with the mystic toilet raises my blood pressure up to much to blow hundreds of gold trying and maybe get nothing,
Ascended, hmmmm maybe. I’ll collect the mats then see.

Go ahead and take it. Thank him for the gift then either give it to someone else if you can or delete it.
That’s pretty much the accepted way to handle unwanted gifts.
Sorry. But they require you to do the work before you get the rewards. They aren’t going to make exceptions. If they handed out rewards to people who didn’t do the work required, it wouldn’t be fair to the people who did finish all the requirements. Also, if you were gone for a lengthy break, you missed a bunch of other achievements. This will just have to go with them.
Did you clean out your mail? If you have a backlog of 10 or more, you won’t receive more mail.

They are just hoping you have an account. They send stuff like this almost at random. All they need is one person to fall for it to make it worthwhile.
I think they are also supposed to be rare drops. If so, those can probably be bought fron the TP. The trading post does have a filter set up for them.
I’ve seen this type of problem reported on other achievements. You best bet is to report it as a bug and also file a ticket with support. Maybe they can send you another.
Account rollbacks are restricted to a hacked accounts and one time ever for that account. People have deleted a character before and asked this. The answer has always been no.
If you only play with guildies, any profession. If you are the dungeon instance owner, any profession. If you want to only do speed runs with the ‘elite’, the last I read it was warrior. For pugs, probably warrior is the most wanted.
