For a new race they should do the skritt. For a new profession they should do a monk but base it off the famous shaolin monk. Give them hook swords, spears (that aren’t used for throwing,) stakitten (that don’t project anything but whack heads insead.) Make them a light armor melee class. That would be interesting to play.
Ok…previewed this before I posted it and it keeps changing stakitten to stakitten so…??? Oh well.
Ok it did it in the ps…so…stakitten…those things paragon’s threw at people in gw1.
Lol. I have no idea what word you are trying to use but you can get around the forum filter mangling your word by putting a ’ in it. Like: dragon bakittenhink to dragon bash’ I think.
To change your email, go to the support tab at the top of the page then to ‘ask a question’.

You will need to contact support. Go to the support tab at the top of the page and then go to ‘ask a question’.
But I have to warn you, if the person refuses to return it or if they no longer play then it is gone.
Well, it’s unfortunate you got a ban for a name you thought was safe but that’s the way it goes sometimes. I wouldn’t have thought of anything wrong with it if I had made it. All you can do I guess is be sure and google the next name to make sure it doesn’t have some meaning unknown to you. The problem came because you already had the first offense. Which triggered the ban on the second one. But I hope you pick a name you like and have fun in game soon.

Check the Urban Dictionary. I found 2 definitions. One was a drug reference and the other was an insult.

Update your ticket with the IPs listed, showing the ones from another IP than your own.
Wait. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Experience_Scroll
My characters are at least one year old. I never received this scroll. Checked mail; no dice.
Guild Wars 2 went live on August 26th last year.
Today is August 12st.
Actually, I do believe today is August 21, for both of us. Unless you are in a VERY different time zone from everyone else. ^^
I did the achievement on one character and when I went back a couple of weeks later on my alts to do the heart, the posters were gone. The heart is still doable from the doors. I sent in an ingame bug report.
It’s been reported and they know about this bug.

He needs to contact support. He should go to the support tab at the top of the page and then to ‘ask a question’.
He should be able to do that, even if he can’t access the forums.
It’s from the end of PvE culling that was put in with this update. If you have your computer set on low WvW graphics then it shows everyone else with basic, generic armor. The advantage is, it does show everyone else instead of culling them. You can get the look back by adjusting the WvW graphics but it may drop fps.

You need to put your ticket number in your post for Gaile to easily look it up.
Gone *sniff*sob*
Mine’s missing also. I’ve heard of a number of people who no longer have it.
this thread here in the bug forum talks about it. You can post there.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
It can take a couple of hours to a couple of days, depending on the work load.
You need to update your ticket and ask for an account restoration. It can be returned to a set point close to and before the time it was hacked.
Yes, people assume grind means gear grind, but to older MMOers, that’s not the original definition
Which older MMOers ? You seem to be claiming to speak for a lot of people here. I am an older MMOer and yet what you say is off target for me.
And there was vertical progression in this game from day one (and Anet has said that ascended gear was always supposed to be in the game).
When someone opts to say something like that after the fact rather than before, when they supposedly had it as their intention all along, it makes the statement seem suspect. This is particularly the case when those making the statement have made other statements that have since been shown to be untrue.
I know there are a lot of people who want no vertical progression and expected that to be in the game. But that still has nothing to do with the manifesto.
Except that the manifesto told us that there would not be gear progression in GW2.
If the poster said that I didn’t expect vertical progression, but that’s what I got…I’d have a lot less problem with that. My problem is people blaming that belief on the manifesto.
Except that the manifesto told us that there would not be gear progression in GW2.
Grind meant to kill things to level. That’s what it traditionally meant. Gear grind came much later. Most of the early MMOs were grind fests, not talking about gear but talking about leveling.
As I’ve pointed out, even if you look up grind in Wikipedia, it gives that definition first. Sure grind has come to mean a whole lot of other things but NONE of that is mentioned or referred to in the manifesto. There’s a whole thread about it, several in fact.
People can only repeat over and over again that there’s a line that says “We dont’ want people to grind in Guild Wars 2.” And all those people ignore two lines before that when Colin says precisely what grind he’s referring to. In most games there’s this “annoying grind” that you have to get through to get to the fun stuff.
How anyone can say that talks about vertical progression is beyond me.
And here’s the whole quote again.
The “no grind” comment refers to combat only. People take the no grind to refer to the game as a whole. But if you read his statement, that’s not what he said.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/ArenaNet's_MMO_Manifesto_trailer
Colin Johanson: “When you look at the art in our game, you say ‘Wow, that’s visually stunning. I’ve never seen anything like that before,’ and then when you play the combat in our game, you say ‘Wow, that’s incredible. I’ve never seen anything like that.’ In most games, you go out, and you have really fun tasks, occasionally, that you get to do, and the rest of the game is this boring grind to get to the fun stuff. ‘I swung a sword. I swung a sword again. Hey! I swung it again.’ That’s great. We just don’t want players to grind in Guild Wars 2. No one enjoys that. No one finds it fun. We want to change the way that people view combat.”
The key phrase here, right after saying that they don’t want people to grind is “We want to change the way that people view combat”.
He is not talking about grind in any other part of the game. He did not say the game would not have grind, only that you wouldn’t have to grind mobs to level.
Restoration of "univarsal multi-tool pack"

You would need to contact support about such an issue. Though, they sometimes restore items, it is rather rare. Good luck.
Not the ones from character creation. If the person has another character slot they can remake it, break the soulbinding and put in on another character.

What item are you talking about? If its from character creation and you have another character slot you can get it back.
They have given refunds and transfers back to the original servers to some people so its worth a try to contact them. Contact support and ask. If they refuse you haven’t lost anything and they may well be able to help you.
Reports are meaningless unless you have actually broken TOS. In fact, if people are reporting you and the reports are not of you breaking TOS then they can get in trouble for that. Just don’t break TOS and you’ll be fine, regardless of any reports.
No, they said they won’t change unless its your real name or email, because of reasons of accountability.
I doubt anyone will even notice your name, there are so many of them. I’ve certainly seen worse ones.
And sloths are actually pretty cool animals. I read where one guy tamed one and it turned out to be the sweetest, cleanest, most affectionate pet he ever had. And this was a captured adult, not a hand raised baby.

Yeah. Looks like they have your information. They are trying to get in but the IPs authorization is stopping them. Like SandraSolace said, I would run a security scan then change my email and password.
Why no restoration for destroyed items?

My guess its number of staff. There are only so many people on the support staff and if they spend time reversing people’s mistakes then that is time they aren’t putting on people who get hacked or have other serious problems. This isn’t a subscription based game after all and the budget they have will reflect that.
The money that’s coming in right now is probably mostly from gem sales. That has to support the whole game which means there are budgets that have to be met.
Kind of depends how old the ticket is. Search your mailbox of course. If you find it, then post in that thread.
Otherwise I would say, make a new ticket. Tell them you lost the old one. Give them up to 3 days to try to resolve it. If after the 3rd day, if you haven’t heard from them, then post in that thread.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
I dont know of any way someone could scam you just by seeing your character name. they can see it if you are playing so its not a secret.
It’s working at the moment on my iPad, which used Safari. You can try that. If it doesn’t work I can try to post it off my iPad. No guarantees though on prettiness. ^^
I’m assuming you still have a current ticket number. If you do and it’s been at least 3 days since you last heard from support then post in this thread here (the stickied Tickets For Review, 3 Days and Older).
Tell what details you can. Be sure and post the ticket number.
The storage guild is probably the way to go. You could even get two of them. One for you and one for him, both of you put your money away at the end of the session. It will cost of course. Probably close to 16 gold for 2 guilds with storage and there will always be the times that one of you will forget to put money away. But pretty much, this is your best option if you want to keep him on your account but separate the money.
You can see your star if you party up with someone and they target you. Afaik that’s the only way.
One thing possible. People are hoarding mats in anticipation of the new ascended armor and weapons that are supposed to be out this year. I stopped selling my mats and told my guildies to do the same.
I can’t say I’m looking forward to this. The choices for people with multiple alts (I have 8 at 80) is to pick one and give him all the goodies or to do it piecemeal. One piece at a time for each. Or to ignore the whole thing altogether.
Now I’m sorry I got full exotics for them. Could have saved up all those mats and outfitted them with rares.
Orichalcum ingots have gone up also. It’s the highest it’s ever been. At the time of this writing it’s over 9 silver per ingot.
Why in the world would you accept an invite from them after they kicked you? Why didn’t you simply leave and block their accounts when they started laughing at you?
If people are acting like you say, you turn around and walk off. You don’t hang around and invite further abuse.
They need to teach people about combos. If you are someone who simply picked up the game and started playing, that information isn’t around. For example, I told a friend playing as a Ranger that I would put down some fire for her to shoot thru. This was new information to her (she is super casual, just plays and doesn’t do any research).
The game does not explain this at all. There should be an optional tutorial, one that you can take several times if you want, that goes over games mechanics. Maybe an NPC inside an instance that will allow you to ask for a lesson off a list. It could be for a bunch of stuff. How to dodge roll. How to keep moving in combat while putting down ground targeted AOEs for example.
Just to check, when you try to log in the game are you using your display name or your email?
Go ahead if you think it’ll add more clarification to this suggestion
I bet people who breeze by the OP post still think the main problem between the Fellblade and Lord Taeres’ Shadow is the purple design instead of the effects around the blade of Lord Taeres’ Shadow, despite the bold edit.
Well considering I made that edit 2 days into the posts life and people still post about it I’d say so. Any extra clarification I can add as bold text may prove beneficial.
Can you edit the title? Or if not, ask a mod to edit it for you?
What would be a more suitable title? I can request it right away if you think there’s a better title for this thread than the current one.
Maybe ‘Please Make gw2 Fellblade the same appearance as gw1 Fellblade’.
Or something similar. The same affect sounds like you want the purple runes also, which seems to be causing some confusion. Saying you want the same appearance as the gw1 blade may stop people thinking we are asking for something extra rather than what they said they would give us.

Lol seriously? Read the text the use of grammar is so bad it should have been obvious it was a phishing email. Also the attached screenshot. Look at the url. It is just not right.
Well, some people are not English speakers so they might easily not see that bad grammar. And others are not very computer literate so they might not know how to read urls. I didn’t till very recently, learned it from seeing people explaining it in this forum .
They don’t want you to use old passwords because many of them were compromised by people using them in unsafe sites. Since they don’t exactly which ones are unsafe they banned them all.
This is what they’ve said about open world PvP.

“A lot of the elements that make MMOs not appealing to fans have been removed from Guild Wars 2. You’re never running around in the world and another player can run up and kill you or anything. We’ve removed all of those elements, so other players only help you and make the game more fun. That’s made the game a lot more compelling and easy for people who love role-playing experiences to get into.”
As bluestocking said, the people you need to contact is support. Go to the top of the page to the support tab then to ‘ask a question’. If they still say it violates TOS and you honestly believe it doesn’t then you can post in this forum with your ticket number and your story for an appeal.
If you already have contacted support then put your ticket number on your post for Gaile to reference it.
You have a home city, LA. The others are just window dressing.
The setting of the game is, generally speaking, would be when the upper echelons of the ruling class are extremely sexist, so it only makes sense to adhere to sexist nomenclature rules. I agree with Vardanial, we need more sexism in this game, any amount of gender equality is immersion breaking. Case in point: find a single woman in Hoebrak who is actually working on something. Loads of men are hammering on fences and kitten, but the women are just chilling out, presumably waiting to get pregnant or to give birth.
Actually, they are chilling out because they’ve just given men their daily orders and are waiting for them to finish and come back for more. It’s a brains versus brawn thing. ^^
I doubt it. The ones I’ve seen were for actual gold being sent back and forth, not items.
Put in in your guild bank and let him withdraw it from there if you want to avoid the mail system.

If your account was hacked and the hacker deleted your characters then you can request an account rollback.
The only time I can’t see this happening is if was from your own computer. If a sibling or a roommate used your computer to delete characters then they don’t consider it hacking as you are supposed to keep your computer secure at your residence. In this case they can’t tell a person deleting characters and then deciding it was a mistake from other people in the home deleting your characters. And yes, people do delete their own characters. They get drunk or angry or whatever and do this.
@Vayne, would you let us know how this turns out. Not that I ever have any gems to do this by accident. I am just curious how they will handle it. imo, since it was acknowledged it was a mistake by putting you back on the right server. It seems they would refund you.
They refunded his gems, per the post above yours.
Not really. For reasons of accountability they only have display name changes for people who used real life info in their display name, such as an email or their real name, or to people whose display name breaks TOS.
He didnt even get a dozen requested responses before the thread went off on a tangent, like most threads here do. He probably ran away screaming.
He got 9 response then said thanks, that’s all I need. I’m assuming he abandoned the thread after that, since he didn’t need anything else.
And I have to think its strange. If all he needed was 9 more, didn’t he have to buy the game to post on this forum? He spent money for just those 9? Why not just get 9 more from whatever game sites he already had. It’s not like the questions he asked here would get different answers from other sites and even if they did, 9 isn’t enough to bring them out.
