You are projecting, we didn’t make the game this way or ask for this. But we have done this content over and over again and crunched numbers and more and it is evident that berserker is the most optimal gear for any player that can successfully use it.
The reason for the 4 warrior groups is because they have the lowest skill ceiling with berserker and are the most forgiving while wearing it. In other words they take the least skill to be good in full berserker.
By the way. I don’t even have a warrior. knowing the information doesn’t mean you have to be all berserker warrior all the time.
What someone else does in the privacy of a dungeon with 4 other consenting adults is none of my business. What I do object to is someone who comes on the forum and makes negative, value laden comments about other people, who they don’t even play with. Telling other people that they MUST wear a specific set of armor or these people are selfish, lazy or bad when the people who say this don’t have the knowledge that god gave a grasshopper about mitigating circumstances in other peoples lives. They trot out some math and wave it around and claim that this applies to all people. And this is complete nonsense. I’m sure they are correct, that in optimal circumstances the berserker gear is the best. But the average person is average and what is optimal for the elite is not necessarily optimal for them. To come on the forum and call others lazy, selfish and bad because they don’t play or wear the same armor as what they say others must have, when they are ignorant of other people’s lives and circumstances is arrogance.

I’d have thought being called bad would give people an incentive to improve and “get back” at us “elitists”, but I guess all it does is make them QQ.

My time in the game is filled with frequent stalls during fights where skills cycle without going off for 5 to 10 seconds at a time and no one is moving on the screen. I use Knights armor because it helps keep me alive. These people who call other players bad or lazy because they don’t use Zerkers gear have no idea what is going on. Also, not everyone has fast twitch reflexes or even 20/20 eyesight to easily see the tells in the midst of particle effects. Those also will make Zerker gear a poor choice.
Some people are very judgmental and they don’t have all the facts. They just think they do. Math is NOT the answer for every question.
No offense but those people by definition are worse at the game, thus making them “bad” (I really hate that word)
Weather your limitation technology, physical or whatever what you are saying is that person x has a limitation that makes it so they cannot play as well as player y and so wears suboptimal gear to supplement for that handicap.
There is nothing wrong with that and personally I feel no one should be put down for that. But if you play ball on a local softball team level the MLB is not going to want you on their professional teams. It doesn’t matter why you cant play at that level just that you cant. This is why those players that want to play with only the best exclude those that cant cut it.
But look around man. There are people in this very thread saying that knight’s gear or whatever you want to wear is fine. Just know that the more DPS you can do while staying alive the better and more optimized you will be in this game. Strive to do that and you are golden.
And then you have these people on the forum throwing around judgmental words like “selfish”, “lazy”, “bad”. They are referring not only to people who are trying to do speed clears with them but also to people who are not. They have dogmatically said in this thread that ALL people should wear full berserkers. And I say they are ignorant of the facts. That you can’t run a math formula and apply the results to all people. Someone who makes a claim of this nature is not only ignorant about the differences between people and situations, they also are showing a rigid, intolerant personality.
As to dungeons I am well aware of my limitations and would never do one except with friends and guildies. The level 80 karma backpieces from temples accept exquisite jewels. You can use a fine T stone to merge the Wind Catcher to it, but of course you will have to use the temple backpiece stats.

Actually, I suspect having your account stolen and having to go through support to get it back and then finding all your characters were deleted, you were moved off your server and all your stuff is gone is a trifle more annoying than spending a few minutes thinking up a password that’s actually secure.

If there is a bug, then that’s one thing you will gave to wait on. Otherwise, just check periodically. It’s not unusual for one server to have it open but it’s possible that none are.
Also, in case you didn’t know. You can only guest on your own set of servers. NA can’t guest to EU and vice versa.
Your post is a little confusing. Are you saying that you can’t get into the game because you are not getting your authorization email or you can get into the game but you were expecting one anyway?
If first then check your spam and junk folders
If second, if you told it to remember your IP, then it is remembering and doesn’t need to ask you.
But what about those who can’t create a new guild for personal storage??? I surely won’t deposit my gold as an offer on the TP.
If you stop repping your guild an option to make a new guild appears on the bottom of the guild panel. You can make the storage guild then rep your main guild again.
Try this app. It’s currently set for NA servers so if you are EU, you will need to reset it. When you see a server with it open, guest there and get what you need.
Your best bet is to contact support and see what they say. Go to the support tab at the top of the page and then go to ‘ask a question’ and fill out a ticket there.
There is always the gem store Profane armor. That’s certainly tight pants as light armor. I’m assuming your character is female. You can always not use any part of the armor you don’t like.
Might be to increase value for items in the TP. I have 8 characters. if there was account bound only, I could have bought one complete set of weapons and 3 sets of armor. Instead I bought 8 sets of armor and multiple sets of weapons as each character has all or most of the weapons available to it.
While some people only have one character they play, a fair number of people have multiples. And all these alts across all these accounts need to be outfitted.
I also admit to being disappointed by the Guild Wars 2 fellblade. The blade does have a mild smoking effect but is hard to see and the blade itself looks more battered and rusty than epic.
I am also asking for some of the HoM weapons to be relooked at. The Diamond shield is awful and the Stygian axe is bland. Not to mention that even though they redid the rainbow jellyfish, it looks nothing like the concept art.
I really wouldn’t recommend crafting armor and weapons. As said before, it’s a gold sink. You probably be better off selling all your mats in the trading post and buying armor and weapons every 10 levels as needed. You can get those from drops, heart merchants and the trading post. After you hit 80, you can learn crafting then if you want. You will have more money and access to high level mats, that you don’t have now.
The filter ignores spaces between words when it looks. For example Dragonbakitten instead of Dragonbash’ it. In this case it sees the ‘sh (Here I had to add a ’ as it put a kitten in the middle of my explanation Lol.) at the end of bash and the it next and then replaces those letters with kitten. Adding the ’ inside a word that’s being filtered will stop it as it no longer sees the word that’s on the list.
The words you had filtered was probably – that it . This has been exempted from the filter.
I would make an ingame bug report and then contact support using the tab at the top left of this page. Then go to ‘ask a question’ and fill out a ticket.

You have to take the quote as a whole. Taking one sentence out and putting your interpretation on it and not his meaning, is not accurate.
He was talking about grind as it relates to combat. Specifically grinding to level. He was not talking about any other type of grind. GW as always had a lot of grind. But for vanity items, titles, armor, etc. He never said there was no grind for that.
Yeah, I’ve seen it. However it is not the more intense thunderstorm right after character creation. So, they have it in the instance. They could start having it in game.
Yeah, you’re right. I just went on the TP and looked at them. The difference is extreme. While the hammer, sword and greatsword are very nice, the staff is just another run of the mill staff. And the prices reflect it. The hammer is currently 300 gold and the staff is 2 gold 57 silver.
If you remember the very start of the human story line, right after character creation, they had a fairly intense thunderstorm in that instance. But then they never show it again. It would be nice if they had that in game. Or even more intense. Rain or snow so hard you can barely see. After all, it’s supposed to mimic a living world.
If he has a lot of ingame mail, that’s probably the problem you have to have less than 10 to receive more mail. So, let him clean out his mail. Very likely in there.
If you sent it to the wrong person it’s probably gone for good. You can try support but they normally don’t get involved in things like this as people can argue and then the sender might claim it was sent by mistake.
Make a guild bank and get the storage. Use that for your new place to deposit gold.
You can buy influence from a guild Promotor. I did it early on, iirc it was around 8 gold.
It’s the mini games like sanctum sprint and keg brawl. They are on a rotation now. Go to LA. Near the Herald there is an NPC with crossed flags over him. Speak to him.

I am especially loving the karma pool. I have 8 level 80s, all who had karma but most only 20-30k (those darn Orrian boxes). Now merged I have over 1 million karma. And I was able to drink my over 100 karma jugs instead of saving them in case I needed the karma on one of them.
Yah. Strange decision. I only voted enough to get the daily achieves for both sides then I ignored the rest of this LS. Had a bunch of tokens in my bank that I turned in for money. It really should have been the other way around, reward the people who were involved in the LS not the people who ignored it.
It was snowing in Frostgorge when I went there today. I don’t remember ever seeing it snow there and I go daily for the ori nodes. Is that the new graphics or a new weather feature?

Cabzi: You will have gotten an in-game error message that explains that the transfer is not currently possible, but that it will be possible in the future. As suggested above, you can transfer at smaller amounts in the short-term, or transfer greater amounts as you have more time/acquisitions in the game.

Giving things like Candy Corn/Zhaitaffy value after their respective festivals were over?
Zhaitaffy was another example of a flueky item that offered no visible immediate benefit in keeping, barring the sugar rush buff (which is also pointless unless they bring back the old achivement from hw1). Candy corn is a crafting material.
You can still use Zhaitaffy to buy the food buffs and the holographic dragon wings. The vender is still in LA.
None of the armor or costumes skins are infinite use. All are one time use since launch. The zenith skins system isn’t even a month old.
Well, now that they added the zenith and radiant they should at least provide the skin available for the same character in PvP and PvE. I know they need the gem store money support but the same character it is just silly.
You can have as many copies of Zenith and Radiant skins as you want…
It’s not what you want, it’s what they think will make them more money. And they think, probably based on researching cash shops of other games, that this system will make more money for them. Any time you propose a change that effects their cash flow you need to keep this in mind and suggest something that will bring in money for them to replace lost sales if they do change it.
If your warrior is already level 80 and you enjoy both then level your ele to 80. That way you have access to 2 different professions and 2 different combat styles. You can decide then what you want to do. Heck. Do exploration on both. It’s not like your are being timed.
After you get the ele to 80 you can settle on one and have another level 80 to play for change of pace.
why does it have to be based on the real 365 why cant teria have its own year. i like the seasons but idc if the seasons last 3 months or three weeks as long as it changes i think that would be cool. maybe it can roll across the map similar to a year maguuma can be winter like as well as ascalon while kryta is spring, LA is summer and shiverpeaks is fall. then ever month or six weeks have it shift. if they really wanted to put the effort in they could make it fluid and do each land section differently (lvl 1-15 would be different the lvl 70-80) that way its not all one land that is the season
Good point about the year. It’s not Earth. It’s a different planet orbiting its own sun and depending on the age and size of that sun, the year could be anything from over a Terran year to a few months. Or even less with a very small star and a small orbit. Which means they could use a 4 month year, as an example, and have a new season each month.
Currently, unless you are going for armor or a Legendary, there is little use for karma once you get to max level. I personally am now saving mine in hopes they put in a use for it later. If you don’t plan to do that you can buy the Orrian boxes with karma and make a little bit of money from that.

It pains me that people are buying into these sketchy metrics. These are numbers from more than half a year ago. It’s more like 2.5 million hits per week, not even unique ones. And hits to what we don’t even know. Could be the login screen or even the main web page. Also playtime averages to 12 minutes per “active user.” That’s barely enough to fit in a daily.
Yes, they are sketchy. But they are all we have at this time. They did say there was an initial expected drop in concurrency but it had stabilized and that the numbers were going up steadily. They have also been hinting they will be announcing a new sales milestone.
The real information will be with the next quarterly information release by NCsoft. This sort of thread could most reasonably be posted then if the figures warranted it. Not so much now when numbers are unknown.
I’ve already seen a large guild with that tag when I was on Henge of Denravi server. Seems they have been around a while without problems. However, I’m not sure why anyone would want to use SS anyway given its historical background. That’s just me though.

And the 3 million sales is from January. It’s likely to be higher now.
As long as the guild name doesn’t reference the historic SS in any way you should be clear. But I wouldn’t be astonished if someone reported it anyway. There is a chance that support will back them up. If you do lose the guild name you will lose all the influence and items in the vault. You might want to take that into consideration.
