Whether the prices rise depends on demand as well as supply and there are 2 big factors here. One is many people think they are ugly. The second is they will undoubtably release new skins. Those will be the new shiny and the older weapons will be only of interest to a few. The two factors will probably keep prices from rising much.

It also means if you get dungeon armor or racial armor or any other armor and you want to use the new skin you will have a choice of losing it or carrying it in inventory for whenever you want to switch looks.

But that goes with any armor in this game. Lose it or carry it around.

Since they got implemented, likely every second to third character I see and their mums are running around now with this ugly BS, even if it are no real wings, just holographical ones, they simply don’t fit into the game as “normal” backpieces.

I guess you never played Guild Wars 1.

Examples: costumes, wearable in combat. Tonics that could turn you into other things, wearable in combat. People used them while idling in outposts and they used them when doing missions or just exploring as you still had your skills. The wings are NOTHING compared to seeing people run by looking like Destroyers, Candy Corn people or whatever. The wings are part of a long tradition of GW goofiness.

Imo, what makes it look strange is it’s a hovering animation, not a flying one. The hovering animation has been moved from a horizontal position, a dragon’s back, to a vertical position, the character’s back. This makes the angle of the hovering animation change from downward directed to forward directed. This doesn’t look correct to the eyes.

This might be why it looks better on a Charr as their back is horizontal while running and not as vertical while standing.

If the transfer was from the hacker and not you and the restoration didn’t return you back to the date where you were on the old server then I would try to contact support again. See if they will do a rollback to a more correct date. Tell them the rollback given was to a date after the hack.

There is also a workaround where you can delete all your characters and then transfer.

Yeah. I want a slayer title for my warrior. It’s bad enough we don’t have the sequence of titles like in Guild Wars 1, like Slayer of Imps, Slayer of Nightmares, Slayer of Heroes, ect… until you reached max title, Slayer of All. I can finish all categories including killing 1000 giants and not get a title. But I got a title for carving up a few pumpkins.

That was one thing really cool, the sequence of sometimes goofy titles till you reached max level. You could see someone wearing a title like, Not So Smelly. You laugh a bit maybe but you know how much work they have done and how much more they need to do to reach max title.

That’s one of the most popular servers. You can try checking the status late at night and see if you can catch it briefly becoming high instead of full. Or you can guest there while waiting for the server population caps to be increased. If you guest you can’t do WvW but you can do everything else.

Try going back into the Chantry of Secrets. Some people have to go in there again after they have finished map completion.

It means its a skin that you apply one time and after that’ its permanent on the back piece unless you put another skin on it.

Sometimes when I die, I am in 2 spots at once. This has happened about 3 times. Each time I am high up on a ramp or jumping puzzle when abruptly I am dead. To me, I am still lying on the ramp. To my party members, I am on the ground. If someone rezzes me, they go to where they see me on the ground. When I am rezzed, I come back to life still high up on the ramp and not on the ground.

Also, once I was running along on a flat area but near the edge of a cliff when abruptly I fell and took a lot of fall damage, as if I had gone off the cliff. But I was still some distance away when I got up.

I had to use wiki to get the last 3 areas. You just have to compare your big map with the names in wiki. It’s a little tedious but doable.

It’s only free if you have no gold in hand AND no gold in your bank. If you have gold in your bank, it WILL take the WP travel fee from there.

I had read that previously so I decided to test it. I put all my gold in my guild bank then tried to waypoint. I couldn’t because of “insufficient funds”.

You can contact support and get a refund using the support tab at the top the page then go to “ask a question”. Fill out a ticket there.

You can get any number of people to come here and vouch for him. ANet however goes by what their computer tell them. They use programs to see bots and unauthorized 3rd party software. So if they see this, he will remain banned. But you do need to let them do their job. There are other people with problems being helped. He has to wait in line.

If people are claiming to be ANet employees, that’s a very big no no. If you report them, there is a good chance they will get a permanent ban.

There are people who are posting to talk to Gaile who have been denied and are asking her, as a person of last resort, to check one last time. Now most of these people still get denied. But not 100% of them. If their initial ticket is denied and all subsequent tickets are closed without discussion, what if they are truly innocent? If they cannot post on the forum to make one more appeal, what are these people supposed to do?

And there are the people who need to post in the stickied ‘Tickets For Review (3 days and older)’. If you read those, some are being posted by friends/relatives of the account holder because that person cannot post on the forum.

You can say “I trust support”. But the support staff are human and they can make mistakes.

I don’t mean to wander off-topic, but this has always struck me as a very inconvenient functionality. What if someone is banned by mistake and the support agent mistakenly upholds the ban (which has been known to happen), but the player knows nobody who could post for them on the forum? I can understand not wanting the forum to be the place where all the hackers go to whine, pout, and troll, but surely there’s a better way to address that.

I’ve wondered about this myself. Not everyone knows someone in real life who also play. I expect most people don’t. And many others don’t have a way to contact guildies out of game or they are loners without a guild or personal friends in game. The forum needs to allow you to post even if you are banned. If the person then uses this to troll or lie, THEN cut them off from the forum. But they need access. Here is a father who is requiring his child to speak for him and he is lucky to have that. What are his options if his child didn’t play?

When people bring out the line about grind, they have picked out one line from the manifesto and then misapply it to the whole game.

The “no grind” comment refers to combat only. People take the no grind to refer to the game as a whole. But if you read his statement, that’s not what he said.

He is not talking about grind in any other part of the game. He did not say the game would not have grind, only that you wouldn’t have to grind mobs to level.

It’s annoying how people have misread this statement and bring out the “no grind” comment over and over when its not what he said.

This is kind of a limited topic forum. Lost passwords, people appealing suspensions or bans. Stuff like that. Not a whole lot of people read and respond here.

This thread reminds of the test we took in 4th grade. The first instructions on the test was to read all the way to the end. After that, it instructed you to do various things like raise your hand, stand up, jump twice then sit down and so on. At the very end, it told you to ignore the previous instructions and just sit quietly.

The best you can do is break the soul binding to keep the skin. This will make it account bound. You will lose the stats and you will need to do it with the character the items are bound to. Then you will have to use a transmutation stone to put the skin on the new item belonging to your new character.

At this time, no. They have no mechanism to do this and have never even hinted they might. You will just have to pick another name.

You can add a second name to it. Like Goreville The Fierce (just as an example). Or a lore name like for a Charr, Goreville Ashclaw, for example.

Key runs is what I do. I had a stash of 26 keys from that. Was lucky enough to score a ticket. I got bit once by these RNG chests and I refuse to pay money or gold for keys now. I buy $10 of gems a month and buy non RNG items.

Your estimate of $50 seems to be close to average from what I read on the forum, unless you get a lucky ticket.

The RNG is really too bad to be paying real money for keys. For that price and those odds you are better off buying gems with gold or doing key runs.

Well, the person who would be able to say on the forum is named Gaile Gray. However she will require him to wait a while, while it goes through support and they look at the ticket first. This ticket can be posted again on the forum if it has been 3 days since the last time they spoke to your dad. The ticket was only sent today, so he needs to wait a bit. Hopefully they will contact him by tomorrow and it will be cleared up then.

They state a range of reasons when they ban someone. He should look them over and see if he recognizes one of them. It would be something that happened a number of days in the past.

When you fill out the ticket, fill out what you can and leave the rest blank. Then work with support for whatever else they need.

You aren’t the first person who doesn’t have this info and you won’t be the last. Just because they ask for certain information doesn’t mean they need it. It just helps them to establish ownership. They can work around blank spots.

After the 5th August we need 5 tickets to buy one skin, which is absolutely out of any commensurability. 37 keys are already worth 3330 gems, but 185 keys (16650 gems = 208€ ) for one skin? You must be kidding.
I’m ok with 800 gems for a mining pick or a complete armor skin, but not with this. Just put them directly into the gem store.

My guess is it’s this way with the chests, 1 ticket now or 5 later, is to fuel impulse buying. They had 2 ways they could go. I ticket always-leading to slower but steady sales. 1 ticket now and the knowledge it will go up to 5 tickets-to entice people to buy however many it takes to get them now, before the requirements increase.

Which is why I think they won’t put these items in the store as a direct buy. The money they are making must be exceeding the money they expect to make from direct sales.

A LOT of people buy items when they are reduced price. They can’t resist what seems to be a bargain. Even though its not. I bet their gem store manager has studied the psychology of buyers and seen the numbers on what brings in the money.
