You will need to go to support at the top of this page then to ‘ask a question’ .
Thank you all so much for your comments, responses, enquiries and support. I have enough responses to stop now. If I am able to (although I can’t promise) I’ll bring the results back so you can have a look. Again, thank you for your support. My research would not be possible without your help.
You got 9 responses and that was enough responses for your research? O.o
Acount suspended for inapropriate language

The staff members who posts on this forum is gone, probably till Monday. It’s Saturday now for her.
They don’t suspend for a few swear words in chat They suspend for abusive language towards other player(s). If you used abusive language towards others you will have to wait it out. It’s in the TOS that you agreed to. If you didn’t you can make a ticket.
It’s Saturday morning and Gaile is usually off till Monday, most likely post on the forums Monday afternoon. I wouldn’t expect an answer from her till then.
At your level you don’t have access to gold much.
My advice.
1) don’t do crafting now. It’s a gold sink and not useful for you at your level. Wait till you are level 80 to consider maxing crafting. Buy gear from the trading post no more often than every 10 levels. Buy with karma or use drops whenever possible.
2) be sure to carry harvesting tools and harvest everything. Sell what you get for the best prices you can get on the trading post.
3) buy salvage kits with karma if you salvage. Many karma merchants sell rough salvage kits and several cultural weapon sellers sale fine salvage kits for karma. Sell all mats salvaged on the trading post.
4) check all drops on the trading post before vendering. Some are worth more there.
here is a list of what you can purchase with karma and where.

I tried searching for cases like this where Gaile answered. The few that I found, the answer was to contact support. So, she can give it a try.
There are still the holographic dragon wings available for sale on the trading post. Those are currently under 7 gold.
Purchased 2 Identical ascended rings.

Read this for some information on how to infuse a ring so you can wear both. It might require using the Mystic Forge.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ascended_rings#Rings
And
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/1aya9a/ascended_ring_question/
Example: "The recipe is: Infused ring = 1 Shard of Crystallized Mists Essence + 3 Glob of Coagulated Mists Essence + 5 Vial of Condensed Mists Essence + Non infused ring
Turns an ascended ring (e.g. “Yakkington’s Ring”) into a pre-infused ring called “Yakkington’s Ring (Infused)”. Technically the two are different items so you can equip both.
You will be short of some agony resist though, so it’s better to have different rings".

You didn’t need to delete the character. :-) you changed the password, that’s good. If it was me I’d run a security scan on the computer, also looking for keyloggers. If its clear then you’re fine. If not, get it clean then change the password again. If you contact support they should be able to help you with any problems or concerns.
Make sure you have the IP authorization set up. If someone tries to access your account and the IP setup stops them, then you know your account isn’t secure.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Actually, yah that would be worth buying. Though its a little embarrassing in game to be running around with one of those on your face. It’s like an advertisement, U GOT PWND!
+1
I would rather have another utility skill than an elite skill on some of my characters. Some elites are as useful as a utility skill while others are are not. Sometimes it feels like a wasted skill slot.
didnt guild wars 1 towards the end have class swapping? class swapping should only be available to max level characters, so that if you like the way your character looks and cant remember how you got it there or what you picked, you can just switch classes without having to completely start over.
Hmmm. Sort of. You had your main class and then your secondary class. For example my main was a Ritualist/Ranger. You could change your secondary class, in this case the Ranger part, once you got to a certain quest. However, and this was a big one, even if you fully specced into your secondary class as far as you could, you were still weaker than a true character in that class as you didn’t have access to the main class attribute. Sort of like a Warrior who doesn’t have access to Adrenaline.

Look in the lower-right corner of the post you want to link. There’s a little chain icon that says permalink.
(BTW your thread is interesting.)
Oh, is that what that thing is. Next to the little crawly person. ^^
It was a long time before I knew that was a flag. Lol.
Excuse me, but how is 3 million copies sold good?
I mean, COD sells what, 12 million copies or something? (No I don’t play that game),
And didn’t WoW sell like 6 million copies in first year?
It was reported as over 3 million on Jan 15th, so that was 5 months, not a year. We don’t know how many sold since then
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/colin-johanson-on-guild-wars-2-in-the-months-ahead/
Go ahead if you think it’ll add more clarification to this suggestion
I bet people who breeze by the OP post still think the main problem between the Fellblade and Lord Taeres’ Shadow is the purple design instead of the effects around the blade of Lord Taeres’ Shadow, despite the bold edit.
Well considering I made that edit 2 days into the posts life and people still post about it I’d say so. Any extra clarification I can add as bold text may prove beneficial.
Can you edit the title? Or if not, ask a mod to edit it for you?
The Time magazine article speculated they might release some new numbers on their 1st year anniversary. Now that would be worthwhile. Good or bad, some new numbers would be useful.
Interesting but won’t stop the QQers as they will just say the game sold 3 million then promptly fell over and died.
What we could REALLY use when
arguing with negative Nancysdiscussing this is the total number of sales and also some hard numbers on concurrency.Unfortunately, the QQers are right on this game. It did fall over and die and then an Anet employ came, hit it with a sledge-hammer and then kicked it off the empire state building.
Sure, if Anet gave us accurate numbers on the exact amount of people playing at the moment, the number of people per server, and the people quitting daily, then I’d be happy. But Anet refuses to give us the numbers repeatedly. Why is that? Think hard. Why would they refuse to give us the number of players playing atm? Are they embarrassed? That’s what my theory is. The number of people on my server took a fall off a cliff a few weeks ago and the only people I see play on patch days for 5 minutes and then the log off.
I haven’t seen this fall off in numbers of people playing. The people in my guild that I see playing are on for a long time each day that they log on and I’m seeing players in maps while leveling my new necro.
As to why they haven’t released new figures, it’s undoubtably because they are waiting for a sales milestone to be reached. That’s marketing. No conspiracy thinking is necessary.
I know that what happens in the Mystic Forge is all mysterious and such, but this is not where babies come from. :-P
You mean… my parents lied to me?!
I BELIEVE in the magic!
Don’t listen to her. Zomorros is your father.
Since he has an account with an email and a password, can he contact support? If he can’t find his first email and he is having problems that would seem to be the next step.
ANet said they will not put in world PvP as it goes against their game philosophy of payers helping players in PvE.

“A lot of the elements that make MMOs not appealing to fans have been removed from Guild Wars 2. You’re never running around in the world and another player can run up and kill you or anything. We’ve removed all of those elements, so other players only help you and make the game more fun. That’s made the game a lot more compelling and easy for people who love role-playing experiences to get into.”
Well, not completely log out then back in. You can select a character to play and zone in the go back to character select and it will refresh.
Stop asking guys. Just wait. Its only 2 weeks away.
Are we there yet?
Okay. Thanks.. They probably do this to push us to leave the overflow.
I doubt that’s it as the loss of WvW benefits happens when guesting also. My guess is they don’t have a way to give you these boosts once you leave your server (which is what overflow is) as these benefits are server specific.
Is he trying to log on using his display name or his email? Sometimes people try to log on with their display name.
His registration information might have gone to a junk or spam folder, have him check there.

Are you saying you haven’t been able to log on for at least 4 weeks or that this happens occasionally?
If its been 4 weeks since you were able to log on, try disabling your firewall. If that doesn’t work contact support at the top of the page then go to ‘ask a question’.
If its something that happens occasionally then it might be a poor connection.
You can also try posting in the Tech Support forum for technical help.
Turn off map chat, do what you want. If they whisper you with insults then report, block and go on your way.
Nostalgic? Shoot I get nostalgic just hearing the music and remembering what areas it played in and what I would be doing there.
I even get nostalgic now hearing the music from Presearing and I hated Presearing.
Woah… Strange, since one of our guild leaders got attempted hacked aswell, but managed to stop the attack early so we JUST talked about this :o
but isnt there a cap of 250 in 1 guild? So… 300+ members? I’m not sure if this is a troll post or not, or maybe just my guild knowledge is horrible, haha!
The guild I am in has over 300 members so its possible. The cap may be 500, but not sure.
As to this thread, if he was hacked then you’ve probably lost everything in the guild bank. What worse, if the hacker kicks everyone out of the guild and then leaves the guild himself, y’all have lost the guild and all it’s influence too.
I’ve had it happen a couple of times but I’ve always thought it was because of lag. Next time it happens, maybe check your fps.
They won’t lift these suspensions on some and not others. Doing so would lead to charges of favoritism and lots of bad press for them.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
No because it doesn’t fit the story being told, the lore of Guild Wars 2. The story is of these groups being drawn to work together by your efforts. To then make them fight ingame makes the story line nonsensical.
I’m confused, doesn’t sage come from herb nodes? I’m unclear which one, Mature or Verdant, probably. It is just a random chance each time you harvest a node, it isn’t a specific node that produces it.
Also, if you really wanted them you should have made use of Zepher Sanctum while it was available. One of the Karma vendors probably had sage leaves for sale in bulk.
They only sold karma items you could buy from heart NPCs. Since its not a karma item you could not have bought it from them.
Nope, not as regular armor as its too cool looking and doesn’t have a long coat or a buttcape.
Interesting but won’t stop the QQers as they will just say the game sold 3 million then promptly fell over and died.
What we could REALLY use when arguing with negative Nancys discussing this is the total number of sales and also some hard numbers on concurrency.

False reports can get you in trouble as they are considered harassment. You can get a 72 hour suspension to start with if support thinks you are harassing someone. After all, someone can be afk’ legitimately because something came up in real life.
Rather than making false reports and risking your account, it would be better to think of a solution on how the game should handle people who are afk’ in PvP and post a suggestion in the forum.
Chili peppers is another bottleneck. After almost a year of playing I have only a small number of these as they are used in several useful foods, especially as compared to less needed stuff like lettuce.
If they were to hold the sword upright with both hands, they’d likely get snarky comments and jibs from their male party members. It’s like eating a hotdog around a bunch of highschool guys…you have to chop it up in little pieces and then eat it with a fork and it just gets awkward…
I’m sorry, but that’s a weak argument against it. They’re going to have to grow up sometime. Anyway, if they are going to make snarky remarks, they will do it to a guy running along holding his greatsword up in the air.
It’s a shame. The Guild Wars 2 version is really nice looking. It’s extremly rare to see anyone using the Guild Wars 2 HoM version as it looks nothing like the the Guild Wars 1 one. It’s puzzling why they did this. They said we were getting the Fellblade then they change the looks to something else. I’m really hoping they switch the look to the Guild Wars 1 version. Since we had a Dev reponse, maybe they’re looking into it.
I wouldn’t do crafting to gear up while leveling. That method is a major gold sink. Buy gear from the trading post or with karma every 10 levels or so. Do crafting with a guide such as ‘The Always Current Crafting Guide’ http://www.gw2crafts.net/ for the cheapest route then use it to make your gear at level 80.
Probably, but I would run a security scan and check for keyloggers. After that I would change the password again and probably the email, just to be sure.
yeah who will buy a mini when everyone gets the exact same one
Or gets 5 of them or more. I’m getting 8.
Ofc you can,you want me to tell you the ticket number i had when the support team contacted me?or i have to open a new one?
I’m sorry if i didn’t understand correctly
Use your original ticket number. If you make a new one and you have one still active, all they do is close that one up and merge it to the original.
I’ve heard of this bug before from other people posting about it but I’ve never seen them come back saying how it was fixed.
Definitely report it as a bug. If the character is unplayable contact support at the top of the page then go to ‘ask a question’. See what they can do for you.
One Logan and 3 Jennahs? He won’t know which way to run.
You get a birthday present on each characters birthday. So if you made them 6 weeks after launch, it will be 1 year later.
Wait, what!? Surely if their character is 6 weeks after launch then they will get their present 6 weeks after launch? Other than the fact it was announced on the same page as the next LS, there is nothing actually linking it with the event. In GW1 the presents were just linked to the individual characters birthday so I think it would be a safe bet on this being the same. It wouldn’t be much of a birthday present if it wasn’t actually on your characters birthday.
One year after character creation in your character’s birthday. Soooo. If you created a character 6 weeks after launch then it will be a a year from that date.
I meant a year from the date of creation.

Very disappointed in banning guidlines
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Astral Projections.7320
Very few large MMOs do Manuel reviews before bans are handed out during their first few years of service. This is largely due to them having to review almost every case after the fact in depth anyways due to support tickets. And most companies in the early going don’t have enough people to both do reviews after the bans AND before the bans. The reasons are usually a lack of efficient dev tools and personnel.
But I am not sure you are saving resource by ban first question later. Either way you eventually need to investigate the issue. In fact it takes longer as a ticket because of the additional steps needed to establish account ownership. Again I am not expecting full investigation, but I can’t imagine it would take more than a few minutes of time to see an account gain and lose the same amount of gold within a short period of time. So do a quick prelim, issue a ban if you can’t easily discern the validity.
It might seems like “extra” work, but it goes a long away in terms of maintaining a good image among legitimate players. As we all know a good image and good will and trust go a long way for any company. It’s can’t be good to infuriate legitimate supporters.
Yeah, the same thing happened to me. I traded gold with 2 other guildies, using the guild bank to transfer between us. One guildie loaned 175 gold, I loaned 25 gold and the 3rd loaned nothing, only borrowed the 200 from us. I got a ban and they didn’t. It took 27 hours to get unbanned, most of which was waitng for them to contact me. Once they contacted me, they resolved it in minutes. I guess once they actually looked they could see the gold entering and leaving the account within a few minutes span. It did make me wonder why they couldn’t see this before they banned me.
Increase everyone’s speed by 25% and remove the signet.
They said there were problems with them having both a bank and a wallet. However you can make a guild bank for yourself with storage and put money in there. You can either farm gold and buy influence or farm influence to pay for it.
If this topic had been out since the start of the game, it would have been a valid request and not because of some jealousy towards the new shiny in-game weapon. If it had been inadequate in the first place then you should have came into the forums to “demand” for it like what you’re doing right now.
Why is it that a new shiny weapon that requires effort in GW2 (over 25 hours unless it’s RNG luck) is awarded to a GW1 player where he didn’t need to spend effort and time in GW2?
If it’s not enough with the achievement points, the titles, and the fiery dragon sword, you demand more shiny? I’m not sure why playing 7 years in GW1 should net you some form of respect in GW2 or entitlement of a shiny new effect, when they are two completely different games.
Topics like this were made at the start of the game on various parts of the HoM items but they fell off the front pages of the forums and disappeared. People bring them back up because most things were never changed. They FINALLY after months of posting updated the ranger pets stats so they matched the other pets and did a small update on the rainbow jellyfish, which still looks nothing like a rainbow. Others things asked for before, are still untouched.
You get a birthday present on each characters birthday. So if you made them 6 weeks after launch, it will be 1 year later.
