Just another way for them to get a money sink out of people that missed it..Greedy Anet is all i think it boils down to.
Considering all the people who have made posts asking for these limited time items to come back. It’s not considered greedy for a business to give customers what they want and someone who thinks so doesn’t have a sound grasp of basic business practices.
Why were you vendoring your ‘most precious and high-class accessory with super high stats and magic abilities’ in the first place?
A recent one, like last week, attacking Stonemist gate, entire zerg hammering away, got it too 20%, a guy pops around the corner, ‘says what you doing, the walls down ere’.
Sure enough just round the corner next to the gate several sections of wall are collapsed, 50 strong (embaressed) zerg geos through…
Zergs, as groups have their own moments at times. I like it when the lead player has 50% reduction in falling damage and everyone just follows them off a cliff.
We were a large group doing area completion. The leader jumped off a smallish cliff after a vista and the whole group followed…..
I got an exotic as a drop and linked it in guild chat for everyone to see. Except it was one of my own alternate weapons, not a drop. It even had a karma cultural weapon skin. Which was embarrassing enough, but I did it again a couple of days later.
I told them, “I meant to do that.”
1 Logan + 3 Jennah: into the mystic forge to get 1 baby mini wearing suspiciously saggy diapers who crawls behind you and screams at the top of his lungs, continuously.
They don’t have the same name as the scroll that dropped from the achievement chests. One was an experience scroll and the other will be an scroll of experience. You could make an argument that they are different and hopefully the new scroll will give X levels of experience, which will be usefull for people that need skill points and for use when/if they release new professions/races.
It sounds very interesting to hear your views! Thanx! I am still wondering though. If some people always represent while others only represent when we do guild missions for example. Isn’t that unfair to the people who generate the influence?
I mean it kinda sounds like loafing if you only represent for the guild missions.
What do you guys think?
Some guilds are not big enough to run the missions with the members they have and need “supplemental” members. That is where the ‘guild mission only’ members are useful. Some guilds recruit just for that and have a membership type for those individuals.
So, it depends.
It would be nice if they were full time members but sometimes you have to work with what you have.
Did you try contacting support? Those are the people who can directly help you if your having some sort of game problem.
If you deleted your original characters you’re not missing much. So you don’t get a Queen Jennah mini for a while longer. It would just go in your collections tab when you get it. To be joined by all the other Queen Jennahs you will eventually get.
She will say only 4 words, then disappear.
“The Matrix has you”.

Did you receive chests as a reward for achievement points? That was probably it.

How many titles are there? On wiki there seems to be only a handful, the ones everyone have listed aren’t even coming to mind. Does anyone care to explain?
This wiki page shows all the current titles, including the ones from Guild Wars 1 wearable in this game. (The Hall of Monuments titles and God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals, aka GWAMM)
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
I made my characters the first day not only to get the names I wanted but for the birthday presents.
My account in Guild Wars 1 is 5 years old now and I have over 30 character slots. In all that time I never once got a green mini (equivalent of an exotic in this game). Many years I got duplicates and you know what, that was still ok. I could sell them or give them away because other people didn’t have them. And I would say, oh well, maybe next year. It was the getting the present in your inventory and unwrapping it that was fun. Now, not only do I know that it will be just one mini, it will be multiples of the same mini. Not sellable, not tradeable, not different from every other person’s mini. It’s just a letdown.
A present that is identical not only to everyone else’s and identical to one of many of your own is meh, at the very least.
It would have been better if they made this one per account when your oldest character hit its birthday. Just forget about character birthdays and made it account birthdays.
Your best bet is to contact support. Use the support tab at the top of the page then go to ‘ask a question’ and fill out a ticket.
Opens a present from someone: a book. Oh thank you.
![]()
Second present same person, oh, same book. Ok thanks.
3rd present same person. Same book. Ummmm
4th present, suspicious book like shape, ummmm. Thanks?
5th present, 6th present, 7th present, 8th present………
Well gosh. Thank you.If the title of the book is “Hygiene for Dummies”, they might want to tell you something. Just kidding! :P
At topic: half of the fun of getting a present is not knowing what it is. Now we know it’s Jennah (that annoying hack). And we’ll all get the same thing. Where is the fun in that?
And lordkrall, for the record, I never met a single GW1 player who disliked the present system we had. Not a single one. Not sure where you’ve got that from that people disliked the system.
It was Hygiene For Dummies!!! How did you guess? O.o.
Lol. very funny.
It’s impossible now? It was possible before and they changed it? What did they change? You said “going to be”. That’s future tense. So it’s still possible now but won’t be?
Details needed. ^^
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
^ And yet that could also happen if there were a set of lets say 10 different minis. Now at least people KNOW that they will get the same in all of them.
Like THAT’S an improvement. Not. I would get several of the same BD presents in Guild Wars 1 sometimes. You could sell, or trade or plain give them away. This, you can’t.
Since when is it good form to complain about a gift? What happened to gracious acceptance, and appreciation? Geez…
True true, but if you got multiples of the same gift from the same person it would make your eyes cross a tiny bit.

I try to match the titles to characters also. For example, my Mesmer Astral Projections which is my Ritualist’s namesake, has the GWAMM title. I put my Champion of the Gods title on my Asura guardian, Resistance Is Fatal, because it suits her egotistical little soul. My thief of course has the Master Carver title. And so on.
I hope they do update the Fellblade to the Guild Wars 1 look. I never saw it in that game but the video in this thread, it was awesome. Right now it’s just meh. The Zenith greatsword, that so many people have, is better looking.
The Devs ought to consider this, if they made the HoM items worth getting, and I mean REALLY worth getting, then more people would buy Guild Wars 1 to get them. Which would be more money in their pockets.
At this time, I don’t equip the Fellblade. I use the Zenith, Warden and the Jotun greatswords.
Yw. ^^
It happened to me is how I knew. I had alts parked at these places to save wp costs and then ran into that. Took me 2 days to figure it out. Lol.
Meh, I buy fine salvage kits with karma for basic salvaging. Free, as I don’t count low amount karma as money, and I keep 2 on each character. It’s unlikely I’m going to do more than 50 salvaging a day on a regular gameplay day.
The queen’s big surprise: “Actually, I’m in love with Traherne”
His answer, “This won’t end well”.
Ow. Just a mini Jennah? One is nice, multiples are excessive. sigh The nice thing about Guild Wars 1 is, if you had multiple characters was the chance for multiple types of minis including a rare mini each year.
Oh well.
If your account was hacked then yes, you will get a “permaban”. However you will be able to appeal and get it back as they can see by the IP that it was different from your home IP. It may take a few days tho.
If you want to check the price, you can look at this site: http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/43346
There are two types. The Shatterer type is account bound and earned through an achievement. The Holographic type was a drop during that time and can be bought.
Do you have the recipe already to make it? If you don’t then no point in worrying about it.
Wrong. If new food recipes are going to be added to the game and chefs are going to want to get their crafting level to 500, I’d kitten well be worried if this recipe was indicative of what’s to come.
What I meant was, does he have that specific recipe. It was only available from that one dungeon and it was account bound. So if he doesn’t have it, unless they re-release it its not available to him to craft and no point in trying to gather ingredients for it.

Support tab at the top of the page and then to ‘ask a question’. If there is a something you don’t know, don’t leave it blank. Put in N/A or unknown,
I made this post 10 months ago o.o
Someone noticed!
The mills of forum commentary grind slowly but surely.
Either that or gengaluf was really bored.
Suggestions would be my best bet as the correct forum. However, I warn you, don’t expect a lot of sympathy. Most people are going to tell you to be more careful next time.
Just set it out as a suggestion, that a buy back feature is needed for commendations. It will probably drop off the forum front page fairly quickly but at least you can ask.
I happen to agree with you, it’s needed for both commendations and laurels as making a mistake here is punishing.
If you have an open character slot make one of either race, go to the cultural armor NPC and preview. Then decide.
Another possibility. This can happen if you have an alt parked at the event and you use that alt do to that event only. If this is what happened, you ran against DR (diminishing returns). To get past it you need to take that alt into another area and play there for a while, do a few events. A quick way is to go to Queensdale or some other starter zone where events pop off fast.
You can also post for him in the stickied ‘Tickets For Review (3 days and over)’ if its been 3 days since he has heard from them. Be sure and put the ticket number in the post.
Since he already has one ticket out, he should not make another. They disapprove of that and it slows them down. He can however, update the one he has.
Yeah sorry, normally I post earlier but I’ve been running late all day >.<
I run tours every sunday at 5pm PDT. My sched is up on ehmry.com if that helps ya!
Kewl. I’ll check that. Thanks. :-)
Ouch. You didn’t give much lead time here.
They wanted to make the guilds like a social club or specialized interests guilds. I think they expected people to have a PvE guild and a PvP and a WvW guild. Maybe throw in a RP guild or a just friends guild. And you would rep the guild that matched what you are doing.
The reasoning behind it is, for example, you have various friends in real life. Some you only go bowling with. Some are friends who get together to play football. Some are friends you go to movies with. You wouldn’t be expected to never see your football playing friends because your movie friends demanded full time from you.
That was their reasoning behind the multi guilds memberships.
I tried it and no problem so probably a bug. The forums do seem to have some glitches.

It’s fake. Don’t click on the links. They are trying to steal your account.
ANet doesn’t contact people like that. If there is that sort of problem they freeze the account and wait for the owner to contact them.
It’s not really a good idea to ask for limiting something that effects other people merely because you are unwilling to set limits on yourself. There is an easy way for you to handle this and that is to set your own limits instead of asking ANet to hold your hand and restrict you and everyone else.
Do you have the recipe already to make it? If you don’t then no point in worrying about it.
Not against the rules, but you also won’t get any help if you get scammed.
This ^^
If someone steals 10000g from you then that is your fault, nothing will be done to them and you won’t get any of the money back. Every mail transaction is a gift and is treated as such.
can any Anet employee confirm this?
From this thread: this thread
zerotwo.4731:
“A player offered to sell me 20 charged lodestones for 40 gold. In trade he didn’t bother sending the stones. I reported him but will I ever see my gold?
ShiningSquirrel.3751:
“No, Your gold is gone forever as well as the load stones. The trading post is there for a reason, if you choose not to use it, you are on your own and support will not help you.
You can report them (which you already have) but that is pretty much the end of it.
Take this as a lesson learned, never trade outside the trading post.”

“I think this about sums is up. I’m sorry that you were scammed, zerotwo, but highly recommend that you use the TP in the future”!

If you get that you need to petition for a new helm. A ‘baby karka face hugging’ helm. ^^
I mostly want this feature, because it is one of the few reliable ways to get around the broken targeting system. Because lets be honest, that is really why we all want this.
This doesn’t even really help the targeting bugs. I can have a target called, be attacking and suddenly get switched to an ally. I think it’s because my mouse pointer is resting on the screen and someone moves under it and targeting switches to them.
At least with the target called I can reacquire it fast, but it’s annoying. Especially when it happens several times in a row. The targeting switching is the reason I use the workaround of inviting absent guild members to party.

+1
Yep. Having to recall all the various ways they are listed is annoying. Should have been a feature from the start.
Guild Transferred, Server is now Full

Posted by: Astral Projections.7320
All that you can do that I know of is to watch the server population to catch it going from full to very high. Try checking in the middle of the night. Or wait till they increase the server population caps, which they have done a couple of times already.
Sorry, sucks I know.
However off TP trading frequently may trigger a gold trader alert that could bring your account under scrutiny and they seem to have a “assume you are” ban first reinstate later policy with a sorry. That may depend on the amount of gold and the rarity of the item mailed. And this is on top of the “get ripped off” problem.
Yep. They sure might. You get a nice reject at log in telling you that you have been permanently banned for gold buying, selling, botting, etc… You then get to contact support and wait while they unban you, usually a day or so. You also get a forum vacation because you were bad. This on top of a chance of being scammed.
You can do off TP trading if you want, just need to keep this in mind.
And by the way, when/if you get reinstated, you don’t get an apology.

Is your firewall blocking the setup from accessing the internet?
Good catch.
