Contact support. Go to the support tab at the top of the page and then go to ‘ask a question’. If they give you your gems back, and I think they have for cases like this, they will ask you to delete the item. So don’t trash’ it or anything like that till they say so.

Ok. I’ll rephrase what I said on my previous post.
- It’s not illegal to send someone gold to help get the title.
- It’s not illegal to send someone materials to help make a Legandary.
- You can get a ban for doing this even though its not illegal. Your account gets flagged and the person who looks at it can make a mistake and think you were gold selling/gold buying.
- if this happens you can contact support and get the ban lifted.

I googled and found this. Don’t know how useful it is but you can look it over.
http://compsimgames.about.com/od/gamingtips/qt/serialnumbers.htm
Or you can contact support, see what they say. Go to the support tab at the top of the page then to ‘ask a question’.
What about this idea.
Lions arch should have had a dye merchant to sell dye for like common dye for 1s, uncommon for 10s, rare for 20s, fixed price. and remove them from the droptable altogether. then everyone can easily get the colors they want.
soulbond on aquire
Does this suggestion mean no more unidentified dyes? How would this effect the people trying to get the legendary staff, Bifrost. They need 250 unidentified dyes.
This is one of the funniest threads I’ve read in a while. Esplen managed to single handedly cause mass confusion in his own satirical thread.
Well played.
Lol.
Some people have managed to get it to work if they choose the number of gems, click next then wait 15 seconds. After 15 seconds hit confirm.
If that doesn’t work and you still have problems you probably need to contact support. Go to the support tab at the top of the page then go to ‘ask a question’.
I might be misremembering, but iirc, they don’t have the tools to add or subtract items to a persons account. In situations where they have refunded gems for miss bought items they made the people delete the unwanted item. When there was the time they let people back in the game after an exploit, the people had to delete the items. ANet didn’t remove the items.
So that’s why I said there may be nothing they could do. That they may simply not have the tools to replace the item.
This is memory of old threads and maybe I’m wrong. But they consistently say they don’t fix most player errors.
You can make a ticket if you want. Go to the support tab at the top of the page and then to ‘ask a question’. However it is unlikely there is anything they can/will do. For various reasons they don’t fix most player mistakes.
These maybe a variant of the moose population where the female has antlers like a male.
I suggest that the OP find the nearest moose and stick his head between the hind legs to check. You may have to do this to several of them. Come back and report to us when you have finished.
I also got ‘permanently banned’ last week for putting 200 gold in my guild bank, and then withdrawing it again, after my guild leader used it for the Golden title. It took 4 appeals and 48 hours to be reinstated. It would be helpful if support changed the wording of their letters. It should not be a problem, but do be prepared for a possible ban.
Yeah, the wording of the ban was a nasty shock.
I got a ban!! For GOLD SELLING! Say what? Plus what was strange, my guildies said my account was showing as on line when I reported this in the guild Facebook. Made me think I gotten hacked or something.
I lucked out, for the very first time. 26 keys (all from key runs). One ticket and 2 scraps. Bought a skin and put it on the TP.
Also a total makeover kit and over a gold worth of unidentified dye. :-)
Considering I opened about 2000 dragon coffers and didn’t get a ticket, I consider this a consolation prize.
It might happen. If it should happen, make out a ticket and have them check it further. You will get reinstated. It is rare though. Your account probably gets some sort of flag when your bank balance rises suddenly, at a guess. It’s possible for the person who checks it to make a mistake. Lots of people have loaned each other money with no problem though.
A bit of background info. I had my account banned for gold buying/selling. Me and 2 guildies pooled our money and swapped 200 gold between our accounts to get the title. I got a ban and they didn’t. I appealed the ban and was back in the game in 27 hours.
But I’m an exception. The vast majority of people have had no problems doing this.
Edit: we used the guild bank to swap the money between us, not email.
The problem is ANet suffers from a lack of genre specificity. This game pulls skins from every point on the style spectrum. As a result, there’s a lot of different styles to choose from, but each of those individual styles are generic or have minimal variety. They went for quantity over quality.
Don’t forget buttcapes. They went in for that also.
Makes you wonder if the artists get a bonus if they design buttcapes or floor length skirts, open in the front.
I happen to like buttcapes because I don’t feel like looking at my character’s hindquarters all day, tyvm.
And you have LOTS of choices. Much more than the people who don’t want them.
And you don’t have to look at your characters hindquarters all day. You can look at other things you know. It’s possible, just take your eyeballs off his “hindquarters” and roll them around. ^^
Cheesh. What is it with guys and their fixation with their characters “hindquarters”?
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
While we love this change, devs, don’t let that distract you from the fact that we still want the option to buy two more bank tabs (for a max of ten) from the gem shop.
Just 10 bank tabs? O.o
TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!
Ok, maybe not quite infinity. But a lot more than 10.
The first is usually just a forced renaming. iirc, no suspension unless it was really bad. It’s the subsequent non TOS names that earn the suspension. You got the first rename, chose a non TOS name (you admit you rebelled) and so you gained a time out.
They won’t remove the suspension. If they did that for some people and not others, there would be claims of favoritism. Also, some people need the full suspension to understand that ANet is serious about this. Otherwise they would continue to make bad names with the expectation that they will get a slap on the wrist and a warning.
I’m afraid you will just have to wait the suspension out.
Well, Cyrstin Cox, the well loved monetization manager of the gem store, said it was about character progression, not money.
http://guildwars.incgamers.com/blog/comments/dye-unlocking-now-character-based
Cyrstin Cox: There was a time when the dye system was very different and at that time dye unlocks were account based, but we have since changed the dyes system and we really feel that character based is the right way to go and the system we have now is the best one for the game.
Customized dye should be something that denotes your characters progress, like better looking, more elaborate gear. As you spend more time on your character, they grow and gain access to more customization options. If we make dyes account based, this progression will only happen on one character. We wanted character customization to remain tied to the character but we felt that one-time-use dyes discouraged players from customizing as often as they would like, that is how we arrived at the current system.
There are 400 dyes in the game, we do not think of dyes as something that a character should unlock all of, it is not meant to be a collection feature. Each character should have a unique palette and we have made enough colors to make this possible. Dyes come from world drops, rewards, crafting, the Mystic Forge, and the Gem Store and we expect that over the life of a character you will collect a lot of them.
We are still developing and the dye system will continue to receive attention and improvements, but changing it to an account based system is not something we are considering right now.
If you can’t trust Ms. Cox when she says its not about money, who can you trust?

They need some sort of skin saver system.
I’ve already decided not to buy the newest armor from the gem store. I love the way the female light armor looks but I also love the armor I have now. Since I don’t want to permanently lose it, it means I’m not getting the gem store one. If I knew I could save both skins and change when I wanted, I would buy it immediately.
And armor is way too expensive to be buying multiples just for looks. Not too mention storage.
The swamp in Queensdale, hands down. There are tons there. To many to even worry about respawning.
The level scaling is doing a bad job in the lower level zones, they need to reduce the stats a little more I think by 30 to 40%, I see no reason why an 80 should have to take on 6 mobs in queensdale.
With that said they really need to reduce the respawn time for DE in Queensdale or Add more and they need to add more DE in the other zone.
It’s a big difference. I was in Queensdale and handling multiple mobs. Never got a scratch. Went to Blazeridge Steppes and was nearly downed by 3 ghosts. Had to remember I wasn’t in the training wheels area and start paying attention, lol.
It sounds like it might be a good idea. The easy, low level ones will drop area level mats, skill points and some other stuff, probably a green item. Enough to make it worthwhile to kill but not really enough to camp them. It’s the high level champions that sound more promising and the ones that might get camped. ANet could fix that by lengthening the respawn timer. Enough so that it’s not worth waiting there just for that.
Whether people start calling out champions and waypointing to them in a zerg, depends again on how rewarding they are. ANet needs to hit a sweet spot. Just enough to do but not enough to farm.
Now, in anything but a starter zone, people call out a champion and ask for help and get answered by, nothing.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Or you using your email as your account name or your display name? Sometimes people try to log in using their display name.
Maybe if she got a hangnail… Or put on shoes.
This could be explored deeply, for months.
They probably need to make the downleveling harsher for the lowest areas. Especially the starter areas. While the mid level to higher level feels about right, the low level ones are very easy for my level 80 with full exotics.
People will still flock to the starter areas though, even if they increase the downleveling. If you’re trying to get certain rewards, like number of events or vets, champions. it’s the place to go because events pop off so fast and you already know where to find vets and champs.
I’ve tried doing the daily in non starter areas. It’s frustrating to wander around, looking for events, looking for veterans, looking for champions and knowing you could get them done fast by leaving there and going to a starter area. And I often want to do them fast. Either I don’t have much time or I’m planning to do something else that will take time and won’t get the daily completely done. I want it out of the way so I’m not trying to finish later when I’m tired and its time to log out anyway.
Maybe if you could look at your big map and see all active events on it? They show the events on your map if you are close by. If they would only make it map wide. If I could see the events, I personally would quit the starter areas and go elsewhere. It would be more fun as I would be doing different, new events.
That’s the biggie for me. Not knowing where the events are.
Wow so nice. Now I’m really curious where the wallet will be stored.
I’m hoping the karma jugs are put on there as jugs and you can still drink them separately. It would cause massive karma loss if they did it for you without the boosters.
I guess this means I don’t have to go to the bank and deposit my money each day. Another nice feature.
Edit: after reading it again, I think the jugs of karma are not deposited. That you still get them and have to drink them separately. After you drink them then they go into the karma pool.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
If they make them spawn randomly then they would really need to adjust the loot drops elsewhere. I don’t know about y’all but that’s my main source for rares and thus for ectos. Removing all the daily ectos that are generated by these events would significantly effect the ecto supply imo.
I made a ticket and was told to check spam folders and do what this link says https://account.guildwars2.com/recovery. I did what the link says and it told me to contact customer support lol.
Lol.
Well the first contact from them is usually a form letter or just basic ‘try this first’ sort of letter. Many people make basic mistakes that simple advice clears up. Since it didn’t work for you, update your ticket with that information and get more detailed help.
So getting the braham armor for my norn warrior. Goodbye another 10 EUR. Guess it’s for a good cause
EDIT: Wait, it’s 800 gems per piece or per set?
800 gems for one set of armor (heavy, medium or light) for one character.
Nice Dulfy. Thanks for the heads up.
Now if it only wasn’t more ankle length buttcapes. sigh
You can also save yourself some scratch by not buying the cultural armour. Cultural armour is little better than stock gear for that level, the primary reason you’d buy it is for the skin.
But if you’re hard up for cash, buying vanity gear is a no-no.
well im annoyed by how my mesmar looks atm, and the vanity armor would make me happy
Then go do the sanctum sprint and you may or may not have your armor in a few hours
The more suggestions we keep posting, the more I feel the OP is either:
1) trolling us and knows perfectly well how to make money
2) expects to get money with little to no effort. If it’s #2, OP, please, save us time and do some of the suggestions and report back after you invest the 2-3 hours it takes at your level to make the ~2g for T1.
I’ve been thinking young. Early to mid teens. Used to having his parents supply everything he needs and unused to waiting for what he wants. Both are typical of that age. (Shrug). Maybe other people are feeling this too as no one has really gone off on him for asking for money and being impatient about what he wants.
Sometimes, rarely, this happens. If you’ve looked through all the folders and can’t find it they say to contact support. Go to the support tab at the top of the page then to ‘ask a question’ and make a ticket so they can help you.
Afaik, they have never done a name cleanse in Guild Wars 1 and I doubt they would in this game. They assume people are going to come and go. Why annoy someone who they hope will come back by taking their name(s) away?
When people bring out the line about grind, they have picked out one line from the manifesto and then misapply it to the whole game.
The “no grind” comment from what I could find refers to COMBAT only. People take the no grind to refer to the game as a whole. But if you read his statement, that’s not what he said.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/ArenaNet's_MMO_Manifesto_trailer
Colin Johanson: “When you look at the art in our game, you say ‘Wow, that’s visually stunning. I’ve never seen anything like that before,’ and then when you play the combat in our game, you say ‘Wow, that’s incredible. I’ve never seen anything like that.’ In most games, you go out, and you have really fun tasks, occasionally, that you get to do, and the rest of the game is this boring grind to get to the fun stuff. ‘I swung a sword. I swung a sword again. Hey! I swung it again.’ That’s great. We just don’t want players to grind in Guild Wars 2. No one enjoys that. No one finds it fun. We want to change the way that people view combat.”
The key phrase here, right after saying that they don’t want people to grind is “We want to change the way that people view combat".
He is not talking about grind in any other part of the game. He did not say the game would not have grind, only that you wouldn’t have to grind mobs to level.

Only thing I can think of is thrown Elixir R.
Wiki says it recovers endurance so why it heals from downed state? a bug?
I’m pretty kittened up because I’m sure I saw a flame icon and it was not the first time when I met engis with ele icons. The only explanation right now is that I have something bugged if it’s possible and this bug replaces sometimes engi icons to an ele icon, I’m gonna post next time video when this occur to clear my presence as a troll.
Btw. I’m playing 8 months but only as a guardian so I don’t know other professions.
Isn’t the ele icon and the engie icon very similar? Maybe you just confused the two. Considering you’re talking about bomb skills on an ele, it sounds like you saw the engie icon and thought it was an ele icon.
If it was a bug, other people besides you would be seeing and reporting it. As well as talking about it on the forum.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Sometimes they go in the spam folders. Did you look there?
I would get one class to level 80 first. Mesmer, if you want to do dungeons. They are wanted more than thieves. Otherwise either is fine. A level 80 has much more access to money making areas than the low level characters.
Contact support. Use the support tab at the top of the page then go to ‘ask a question’. I have read they replace lost Rytlocks. One guy deleted his and they replaced it.
Did you happen to ever delete a toon? If you did, it may have been in its inventory.
One thing you can do is check your guild mates. See if anyone has alts they are leveling. Also try asking in map chat when you go to a zone. Some of the people there are leveling alts and would like to hook up with another person to do it.
Gold is hard to get for most people. It’s unlikely they are going to give gold to some random person on a forum. A friend maybe but not a stranger asking for gold when they themselves had to go through the leveling period and scraping for every silver they got.
i dont have a guild so thats a problem
So let’s see… you’re not willing to level to 80, you’re not in a guild, AND you’re asking for free money…
Simple solution, go level to 30, start farming AC story mode. T1 cultural is around 2 gold?
If you’re not even willing to do that… man, I’m done.
I dont know any guilds to join FYI….
Getting into a guild is easy. Most guilds are happy to take new people. The only ones that might not are the ‘family type’ guilds, single person guilds, the friends only guilds and the guilds for people who consider themselves elite (level 80 speed run/hard content only). Almost all others, which are the vast majority, will will take a new person.
Several options.
- People frequently call out guild invites in chat. Talk to one of them.
- When you party up with someone, if they seem nice ask if you can join their guild.
- Look around. Check out guild names. You see one that sounds interesting. Whisper to that person about joining.
You can be in a guild within a few minutes of logging on if you try.
Engi-elementalists are only on the top-secret test server dude. You’re crapping all over the NDA.
But I agree, the Calamity Bombardier downed skill is overpowered under certain conditions. However you have to consider the following:
- In order to get the kind of instant turnaround you’re describing, you have to trait it with Pyroclastic Laser Velociraptor-Maelstrom and Shrapnel Holocaust Smilodon-Frappe, which are both Grandmaster traits, as well as Precognitive Artillery Guidance Gnomes, and your choice of Banshee Aetherstorm Apparatus or Bio-mechanical Wendigo Mandibles for taste, if you like the combo of Vulnerable/Poisoned/Bamboozled/Weakness more than Bleeding/Chilled/Hoodwinked/Weakness.
- Doing so prevents you from taking any of the traits that contribute to the Titan Cataphract build where you focus more on the Bazooka configuration of your two-handed Mountain Cleaver, which can construct skeletal iron golems and knock them backwards in time to assassinate John Connors. I don’t know if you’ve tried that build, but it’s pretty strong, especially when you’re fighting things in the Phantom Zone. So there’s definitely an element of sacrifice in blocking yourself out of anything higher than 10 in your Skynet trait line.
- In order to get the true instant-rez effect, you have to toggle the Avatar State (F3) before you’re downed. And in case you skipped the part of the tutorial that explains that (blah, blah, blah, where’s the skip to the end button, I don’t even care that they hired Liam Neeson to be the voice of the apocryphal hidden interdimensional Seventh Elder Dragon of Heavy Metal if he won’t shut up about our class features, am I right?), doing so risks breaking the cycle of Reincarnation if you fail to rally, which would leave Fire Lord Ozai free to ravage the Earth Kingdom with his armada of flamethrower zeppelins.
Ok. I’m in love. Can I haz this please.
It sounds like a bug. If they haven’t answered in 3 days then post in the stickied Tickets For Review, 3 Days and Older. Be sure to put you ticket number. It also wouldn’t hurt to edit your post and put the ticket number in it.
They also don’t want you to be using other people’s accounts to post. That’s a big no-no with them. If you post there, have your brother post for you. You can tell him what to say.
o.O I’m terrible sorry I did not know that. I just want to play again
Well, Gaile might possibly lock this thread. So have him post in the stickied thread, just to be sure. :-)
And that bug kicked just about everyone out of the game game for a while. Lots of perturbed people on the forum. Lol.

ANet will not approve any type of macro. They may ignore it but they won’t come out and approve it. One reason is liability. If they approved an outside program and then it eats your computer or it later was used to cheat in some manner then they could be considered at fault for approving it. They also do not have the time or manpower to go thru each macro that someone invents and check it out. The best you can do is look over their rules carefully and if you think it even is a little iffy, don’t do it.
I can see where they wouldn’t want to do this with people who get a permanent ban. Even just being in game for a few minutes will give them a chance to scam another person or bot for a gold seller and send them the mats/money. But they could use this for suspended accounts, which isn’t as critical.
There was something very satisfying to see people get Dhuumed. :-)
Yeah. I forgot about those. A helicopter dropping commandos out of the sky. They have super speed and nets. Run the person down and take him off in the helicopter. That would be better.
Loved Dhuum. It was the greatest way to ban people EVER!
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=B8aBasRIY8Q&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DB8aBasRIY8Q
Maybe they could use The Mad King. He could come out of the ground, stun the person then tell a joke so awful it kills them on the spot.
Pllzzzz ANet. Bring back something like Dhuum.
Yes the Brisban Wildlands does have an event that spawn 1 Giant if you solo. I think it can scale up if you have more people there thou. So if you solo that event 1k times its a snap
As for the Veteran Oakhearts. Do Veterans count as Plants or Vets? Ya know like the ones that spawn after the Great Jungle Wurm is dead.
They count for both. I’ve killed them for the daily veteran killer and plant killer. They are a twofer. ^^
Have the same issue with Shiverpeaks. Am missing one, and I dont know which one it is
Did you get that new POI in Wayfarer Foothills? It’s not visible on the map till you get close. It’s in the instanced area, Cragstead.
Asking for serial at password reset?

If you used the forum password site here then it is legitimate.
Must be because it was password recovery, not password changer. They will ask for serial number to establish ownership if someone is asking to recover a lost password.
I’ve never had trouble with hills. Maybe you said something that offended a hill and it told its friends. You know hills have friends in high places.
