It’s not just an issue for you. I have 8 toons I play regularly. Since I am in a small guild, most of them recognize all my aliases but if the guild were any bigger I’m sure it would be confusing. Maybe in guild chat at least they should use account names and not character names.
No, this is not a service they offer. They only change for 2 reasons. One is if the account name breaks TOS and the other is if it has personal information such as a your real name or your account email. Otherwise they don’t because of accountability. For example, people might scam others and then change their account name to hide from the people they scammed.
Whether or not you can change your account name depends on a couple of reasons, either it breaks TOS or it has personal information such as your real name. If the account name you chose is your real name then you will be able to change it.
As for the second, have you contacted support? If not, go to the top of this page and select support then select ‘Ask a Question’. Make a ticket and fill out all the information you can. If you don’t know it, leave it blank. Then work with them about what you need.
If ANet is making money by selling the Fine crystals and they would lose money by doing what this thread suggests, what reason would they have to add Mystic Forged crystals? Every crystal forged would be a crystal not bought and therefore money lost to them. For an idea like this to happen it would also need to benefit the company.
As I understand the achievement you need to have all the necessary minis in your bank at one time. So yes, if you deposit 40, take them out and sell them you will need to get 40 minis back (not necessarily the same ones) to start again.

In the future, when you ask for help of this nature say what server you are on. People can only guest to either NA servers or EU servers depending where their home server is based.

Or you can guest to another server that gets it done frequently and do it there. You can guest to 2 other servers every 24 hours but they have to be in the same region as your home server.

I hope they bring back old skins as gem store items. Several skins I and many others tried very hard to get. It’s discouraging to know I’ll never have a chance to get them now. And people who are now buying the game are out in the cold also. It’s not good customer relations to not sell to people who want to buy.
I sell mine. I have the dyes I want and I’ve found that opening up my unidentified dyes means I almost always get dyes worth less than a silver. I figure it’s better to sell then buy the dyes I want. The chance of getting a ‘good’ dye is very low.

In the past where people have items they should not have, they made the people delete the items instead of removing the items themselves. Which is more work for them to them. Instead of directly removing they have to have the person delete then go back later and verify that they did so.
This was not the case. My friend went to sleep and when he woke up his password was changed, after recovering his account he logged on and the Dawn was gone.
Is this the guy that scammed another player out of it? And now you are depending on him being truthful to you? I don’t think so. If he lied to another player he is more than capable of lying to you. You need to keep this in mind when dealing with him.

For people who only have a main and their main can’t get a weapon’s kill achieve because the skill has essentially no killing ability, then that’s a major pain. When you only have the one, it sort of feels like a cheat to make another profession just for that weapon.
Is making alt for weapons that your main character just cant equip “feels like a cheat” too?
If someone only has a main and has no interest in playing other characters, wants to do weapon kills for that profession only and finds it close to impossible to do yet knows its extremely easy to do on another profession, then yeah, it may feel like its cheating a bit to make an alt just for that.

Yep, there is already a work around in place. Transmute to a white item to break the soulbinding then transmute to the item you want it on.
A guildie moved her Mad Memories from one character to another. In this case I think she had to transmute twice to break the soulbinding but it worked and she was able to transfer it.
Try killing things with a shield if you think scepter is bad.
Try killing things with a Warhorn on a Necromancer or Warrior.

If he has more than one ticket submitted then he needs to close out all but one. Submitting multiple tickets slows support down. All they do is close them out and mark them as duplicates, which wastes their time and keeps them from responding to the initial ticket. If they haven’t responded to the initial ticket in 3 days or more, there is a stickied thread at the top, ‘Tickets for Review, 3 days and older’ that he can post on.
The first response you get is automated. It’s just to let you know they got your ticket and also to weed out people who have easily fixed problems. It’s the follow up responses that are from an actual person.
It MIGHT happen. What if someone stayed in the red area instead of dodging out, ran around in the red circle and was’ hit by each of the meteors? For all we know that’s what happened to the OP. He ran around inside the red circle, didn’t dodge out and was killed. This is not only sad, but to use OPs term, ironic. Maybe a kind soul could teach this poor guy how to dodge out of red circles.
You do have to give them time to respond. I see from the ticket number that you made the ticket today. You need to give them a minimum of 24 hours. For posting in the forum, they request you wait for support to respond to your ticket and only post if your matter can’t be resolved or if it takes more than 3 days.
And yes I got a (mistaken) ban for gold selling so I know they make mistakes but they have to work through all the tickets they get on a daily basis.
I don’t know if this has been discussed before because I rarely visit the forums but I had this idea called Underflow. We all know that when a certain map has too many players, new incoming players are sent to an overflow server. Well why can’t we have a server that combine other servers with a low population on a map to make it more lively. Almost all the time, when creating a new character, or just leveling in pve areas, I feel like I am the only one in the map. It is dead. It almost feels like a single player game when doing pve.
Its such a waste because I’m sure Anet took a lot of time to create the beautiful world of Tyria but no one to share it with. I don’t know if this is a limitation Anet has but I’ve seen it done before with DAOC and due to low populations, started clustering servers together. Maybe this is something they can explore?
I was thinking about underflow servers the other day and I thought of a possible problem with them, that being the timers on the events. The meta events such as the Maw or Shadow Behemoth as examples. If people are on one server and they port to the event before it starts and routinely get put into an unknown server with an unknown start time for these events, there are going to be a bunch of unhappy people. Ok. I see what you mean. However, since its exceptionally unlikely that ANet will change this anytime soon then your best bet is to either write down the levels on each or get to max level crafting one at a time. If and when they ever change it, it will be a moot point for you. ^^
Tarnished became the unofficial NA RP server by advertising itself as one back before launch. RP guilds posted on Guru and other sites that they were going there. Back then Guru, and probably other sites, had a list of servers and what types of groups, languages and guilds were going to each.
From what you said, someone else (your cousin) is the actual owner of this account and you both play on this account. First, it may be that person who did something, not you. Second, it’s the account holder who needs to contact support not you. Third, ANet doesn’t like people sharing accounts because of situations like this.
I’ve used the auto-run provided by the game but have never been able to just run from one side of a zone to the other side. I always get stuck behind things repeatedly. I must be in the wrong zones!
It’s all those pesky rocks and trees. ^^ There needs to be a petition to remove them from the game.
There seems at present two problems. As mentioned above they currently considered part of the hair. The way it’s set up, if they separated them it might be then town clothes only or a conflict with helms. The second problem is, you can only use starter colors. Which means that if those conflict with the colors you have now, not much you can do.
People have been asking for this for months now, since launch. There have been multiple threads about it. I’m sure ANet knows about it but it seems low on the list of items they are working on.
You have 5 character slots and 8 crafting professions. What many people did is put one or 2 per character. Then you don’t have to pay to switch and you can see each character’s crafting level.
Edit: if you don’t have crafting maxed out you would be better off putting it on other characters. iirc, it costs 40 silver to switch between maxed crafts each time you do it. It’s not likely ANet is going to change the way they have it set up at the time. You would be better off cutting your losses and farming out the crafts to your alts.

Nearing to 1 year- by the countless nerf-rewardings this class have gotten, is absurd.
Remember how they “nerfed Perma-stealth”?
Well it is still here, i never believed them, because again.. thief is the only nerf-rewarding class and Favorite class.
So why would they stripp their Idol thief from Supremacy status for the sake of any one; classes, community, wvw,spvp and pve?
As long Arena net remain, so be theif stealth and Favoritism.
The only way to remove stealth is to replace Arena net.. and that will Never happen.
Our only Savior and Hope is carry on to other Mmo’s team who don’t believe in Favoritism, “the one man army” theory , Tyranny and Nerf-Rewarding class and most especially, Punishing the “less advantage class” in Favor of the “Advantage” class.
Than and only than they will realized and learn that Favoritism and Tyranny of Stealth Mechanic is a Fail system.

What the heck is ‘chaotic irony’? Do the thieves make ironic yet nonsensical remarks when they stealth?
There is a key for continuous run. Check your options. Or hold down both mouse buttons (right click and left click) at once and use the mouse direction to steer.
As to your specific question. ANet never approves outside programs. They ignore benign ones though. If they were to approve a program and it eats your computer or is used to cheat then they are liable.
This is your friend’s issue, not yours. You don’t actually know whether or not he bought gold or what the offense was, you only think you know. He and support will have to talk. They may have banned him in error but there is nothing you can do about it one way or another.
