Cheap unlimited picks/axes/sickles without any animations. At $10/~40 gold, the current ones are too expensive to outfit all my level 80s. It would take over1000 gold or $270. Many people have multiple level 80s and play different ones frequently. They probably don’t buy these items because of the cost to outfit all.
If you have the IP authenification and it didn’t tell you that someone had logged in on another IP, then I would say it was probably a bug.
The only problem with that is it says theres too many characters per line
Are you saying something like this?
Medic Engineer Build
If it is then
Put Medic Engineer Build
You can find this sort of thing in the ‘More posting & formatting options’ button.
You can also use them both for PvP and PvE. Take one out out, change it to PvP (it will give you a warning that this is permanent, you can ignore it as you can get the same skin as many times as you like and use it for PvE) and it will be a PvP weapon.
I skipped the whole SAB thing. Didn’t go inside even once and it was great. It was like taking a vacation and now I’m ready to go back to work with this new patch.
Seriously, they need to have time between these events where nothing happens. Let people decompress, do dungeons, level alts, stand around in LA, whatever. It’s one thing to visit a carnival. It’s another to live in one
For investment? Since they aren’t soul or account bound there is still plenty of supply. Anytime the price goes up, whoever needs cash can sell theirs and bring the supply in the TP back up. For example, the mini Southsun Kasmeer and Faren haven’t dropped in ages that I know of and supply seems steady.
http://www.gw2spidy.com/search/Mini%20Southsun?recipes=
If it does go up imo it would be very long term.
Party chat disappears also when you leave it.
Maybe because you can switch between guilds and parties, its considered temporary and deleted where as map, whisper and say chat are permanent to that area/person and so not deleted even if you switch.
They’ve done this before. It’s nothing new.
Thanks for You replies!
So… It’s not a problem if I level up Weaponsmithing and craft Ascended on the Character X and Use this Ascendced Weapon on Character Y?
The ascended weapons are account bound until used, the soulbound, so you can make on one character and give to another by putting it in the bank and letting your other char pick it up.
Well, I have all day since I was up all night….I’ll make the coffee extra strong. I’d like to actually see a moderator chime in on this. And, I’d also like that account name change as others have brought up in other posts. It’s pretty easy for a griefer to track and harrass someone based on your account name, even if you block them and change servers. And, now we’re getting into a true legal matter here. I would be more passive and bring it up through the standard system, but my experience is that the standard system for things like this results in a canned response. If others say they are not experiencing this but I see it almost every time, then I am being targeted, and I want it to stop!
Moderators handle the forum only, they make sure people follow forum rules. They have nothing to do with anything in the game. At best, one might post telling you to report all griefing through support.
I wouldn’t hold my breath expecting a Dev to post. They might read this but it’s unlikely they would comment, regardless of whether or not they agree especially since you have brought up the word ‘legal’. Once you say something like that, that rules out any responses. Any Corporation has policies determining responses once a customer starts talking about ‘legal’. This stops all normal discussion from them. No Dev will touch this thread now.
As to account name changes, they have said this is normally only done when the account names have real life info, such as a real name. Because of problems with accountability, such as people scamming others and then changing the account name to avoid blocks, they don’t change account names on request.
If you are having problems with griefing you can make a thread in the forum, like you did here, to discuss it and you can make a ticket to point it out. If you feel it’s directed at you then you need to get the names of those people and put them in your ticket.

Yes you can change servers for free if you delete all you characters.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Server
Transferring
The transfer fee is only charged if you have characters on your account; in other words, if your account has no characters or you delete all existing characters first, you will be prompted to select a new home world after creating a new character, free of charge.
To transfer to a different world, go to the character selection screen (using F12 or when you first logon) and select the desired world; you will be logged out while the game makes these changes, which might take 5-30 minutes. You can transfer once every seven days at a cost determined by the destination server population and whether or not you have characters.
If you have characters the fees are:
Medium: 500
High: 1000
Very High: 1800
The Asuran female version (bottom center) reminds me of Micky Mouse.
The male version (middle, left) looks like some sort of weird cap.
I would like to know also. I’ve seen inappropriate guild tags (and pet names too for that matter). It would help if they added an option to report for guild name/pet name with a screen shot possible.
You have 5 character slots. If you want you can max one or two professions on each of those. That way you won’t have to pay 40 silver to switch professions, just switch characters. If you don’t play them they can be parked at a crafting table.
For example, I have articifer on my Mesmer, tailor on my ele, huntsman and leatherworker on my ranger, and so on.
You can get more free.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hall_of_Monuments_Portal_Stone
Acquisition
The portal stones are free and can be acquired in two ways.
Automatically added to inventory for new characters on accounts with linked game accounts.
Scornheart (Hooligan’s Route in Lion’s Arch) sells them for free to all characters, regardless of account status.
I wish they had the 4 slots for weapons like in Guild Wars 1. They could make it so you have 2 combat sets like now but can select others while out of combat and make them your new combat sets. This way you wouldn’t have to open up the hero panel or inventory to switch out weapons. Just click on the alternate weapon swaps.

It’s possible they can’t remove the extra character slots. And if they can’t remove them then of course they aren’t going to refund your gems.
hello,
so today I was selling Spark. I placed 630g as selling price and listing fee was 30 g, but when I opened BL trading window to collect the gold, there was only 570 g ? How is that possible ? Listing fee not 30 g but 60 g ?
thank you
I had over twenty gold stolen on the Trading Post because I did NOT understand that the money is taken out BEFORE the item is sold.
This isn’t a trading post as much as it is a theft ring.
Call the police and tell them ANet is running a theft ring.
Then google gold sink and inflation.
Then read wiki occasionally, for grins and giggles.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Trading_post
There are two Trading Post fees, both paid by the seller; they total up to 15% of the total sales price.
A non-refundable listing fee of 5% (minimum 1 ); this is paid when you post and is not returned if you remove the order.
A 10% tax on successful sales; this is deducted from the amount available at pickup.
Although both fees are listed in the trading panel, the “projected profit” only deducts the 10% sales tax.

The reason why they have only one time use on armor skins is because they feel this brings in the most money for them. If it does then they will continue to do so.
If you are actually standing next to vistas and nothing happens then that sounds like a bug. If so, you need to contact support. You can also report it as a bug ingame.
Is the mob density comparable to other MMOs? I’ve never played another one so I don’t know. But they do seem pretty thick on the ground.
I doubt i’ll get an official response through this thread so i have opened up another ticket in support. My ticket number is [130915-001151].
They don’t want people opening up multiple tickets. It slows them down and all they do with it is close it anyway.
As to getting a response on the forum, it’s the weekend. Gaile probably won’t be back on the forum before Monday.
yes it does have a timer with event window 1-2 hour after daily reset with a cd of 12 hours
Source please.
No. The server block stores your data only. You can play from anywhere in the world, the only problem you might have is ping. And being unable to guest to NA servers if you have friends there.
What do you mean you got put into a EU server? Are you saying you somehow were moved without your permission? Or that you selected an EU server by mistake?
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
To contact support, go to the support tab at the top of the page. Then go to “ask a question”. Fill out a ticket. If there is something you don’t know, put unknown in that space.
The password for Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 are the same, so the one you used to get into this forum is the one you need.
They have a start with dailies for regions, needing to do events, but that mostly brings people to the starters zones. Maybe what they should do is increase the daily by another choice and have it for doing events in specific maps. For example, 5 events in Orr or Dredgehaunt Cliffs. This would bring people to do events in those maps, at least for that day. They could even have additional achieve points for doing additional sets of 5 events on that map. So if you do 15 events, you get 3 achieve points.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Most likely because you already have that same item in your PvP locker. It only allows one item per slot.
There is a 7 days cooldown between any type of transfer, gems or free. So you must wait till the 7 days are up.
Can you only get achievements from this tab when you purchased Guild Wars 1?
What tab?
This maybe a silly question, but do you have site gw2state.com loaded in the background? This site uses a bell noise to alert you when a new event has started.
And we have a WINNER !!!
thank you very much
But….. Did you check under the bed for monsters?
It is correct that you cannot guest between EU and NA servers but instead must transfer. You must either buy gems or you can delete all your characters and then you will be able to transfer for free.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Server
If you delete your characters, remove everything useable from inventory first and put it in your bank. Salvage, sell or delete all soulbound items. Then make a new character and go to the character section screen. You will then be able to select a new server. The transfer will take up to 30 minutes and you will not be able to play during that time.
Your guild bank, if you have one, will not transfer.
It would be a better gold sink if you could retrait at will but the game charged you a small fee to do so. The would not only be a more flexible system but it would be a better gold sink as people would retrait more frequently if they didn’t have to leave where they were to do so.

He should be able to still contact support from this forum page using the support tab at the top of the page then going to “ask a question.” He then fills out a ticket as best he can. If there is something he doesn’t know, put in unknown or NA (or something like that). He can also get a new password from them.
Maybe they could make cross server zones optional in some manner. When you zone to a map, a pop up that asks you, do you want to stay on your server or go to a mixed server map.
You need to contact support then. Go to the support tab at the top of the page then go to “ask a question”. Fill out a ticket and they should be able to help you.
Check under your bed and in your closet. You may have monsters there.
Also tell random people on the street about it. They want to hear this. :P
More seriously. I haven’t heard this ingame, but I have the sound turned low. Haven’t heard other people remark on this either.

Snip
However, I came back to the game three weeks ago and have been pleasantly surprised. The game is quite a bit more fun now and less annoying (but we still don’t have a LFG tool).
SnipSept 17th update. LFG on the Hero panel. ^^
Now what they need to add is an ignore function on the forum. There are some people who are consistently negative and rarely if ever constructive. Yet they post multiple times a day.
All that will do is make all of the posters who know what they’re talking about but don’t phrase themselves kindly enough (myself included) be ignored for our supposed lies, slander and “elitism” rather than people educating themselves, which again in my case I was able to do.
Big no to an ignore function, since all it will do is promote even more ignore-ance than the game and the game’s player mentality already does.
Also, ANet have done a whopping jack all to dungeons to make them better for months, you still get better rewards for pressing 1 at champs in open world than you do for fully gearing your character, executing skill rotations, effective mob pulls and trash skips (which in Arah is a lot harder than it sounds) and for improving your reflex and improvisational skills.
We can’t reward dungeon people because that would make people who want to just fall asleep on their bearbow ranger pressing 1 mad.
It’s interesting that you think my comment was directed towards your sort of posts, but it wasn’t. I actually think you have said many constructive things while not agreeing with the manner in which you said them. The type of people I was referring to just get on a thread to say “this game sucks” and comments of that nature without ever having anything useful or constructive to say. Those are the types of people who I would like an ignore function for.
Got mine. Perhaps you misremembered. If you really you aren’t getting yours, take a screenshot then report it as a bug.
Imagine how much it hurts their back standing up like a human for a long time…
Well, if you are taking that argument, it’s actually less stress on the body to be balanced as humans are then to have your center of gravity forward like that. Kangaroos can do it because their tail is so heavy it shifts the center back to where the hips are. The hunched over Charr position is too forward and makes it harder to keep their standing balance. Instead of being balanced, they have a lot of stress on their thigh muscles and hips to stand like that.

Guild Wars 1 had both the hunched over types and the standing uprights types. They could have continued this.
For farming events on any server, try this site. It shows starting and ongoing events on each map.
As to a server focusing on events. Since it was so easy to get karma. Most people weren’t doing events. Try guesting to different servers. Role playing servers are usually the most crowded. The NA one is Tarnished Coast. Not sure of the Eu one, Piken Square?
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Yes when I read that page sir it says “Guild Wars AND Guild Wars: Eye of the North”. I owned “Guild Wars”. I was under the impression owning just Guild Wars was enough. Linking the accounts only furthered the confusion. Clearly a comprehension issue on my part. I am not sure why you feel the need to dig so deep. The question has been answered.
Oh the internet… gotta love it!
You started a thread on the discussion forum, you got a discussion. What else were you expecting?
I understand you are disappointed. But you were expecting rewards before you linked accounts and got that message, else you would not have linked them in the first place. So, that particular sentence isn’t really the culprit.
You stated above that you had done some research about getting rewards, and quoted this sentence: ’When I read HoM info page I read this:
Earn special Guild Wars 2 rewards based on your achievements in the original Guild Wars and Guild Wars: Eye of the North. What you should have put in bold was the word ‘achievements’. Had you completed the necessary achievements (including opening the monuments necessary), you would now have access to the 3 points for linking your accounts.
I am sure you will be prone to doing a bit more research next time something seems a bit too good to be true. =)
Note to OP, this quote does say you have to have EOTN already.
Thanks Inculpatus for pulling it up. ^^
ANet has a long standing inability to clearly say what they really mean. In this case, you get 3 specific pieces of armor IF you have Guild Wars 1 and IF you have EOTN and IF you have a character at a high enough level to get there.
Isn’t events the only real way now? I’m not sure there are others besides the daily and the occasional karma drop. So, do events at the highest level you can.
Another point, you don’t get 3 points to spend. Each point is tied to one (occasionally 2) items. In this case the 3 points are tied to 3 specific pieces of armor; boots/shoes leggings/pants, chestpiece/coat. (All 3 armor classes can use them). If you aren’t interested in these 3 items then there isn’t any point in going for it.
One thing I saw from his blog was where SAB wasn’t as popular this time, and he blames himself. That he let the team down. Imo the drop in popularity is because people are feeling overwhelmed. Content is coming out at such a fast pace that people are backing off. There is no breathing space between these events and this causes the special events to no longer be special, just more of the same. If there had been a week or two between the last LS and SAB, I bet the response to it would have been a lot more. People would have had time to decompress, get bored and be looking forward to new content.
