If he logged in, stole stuff then disappeared there is a strong possibility he was hacked by a gold seller who sold all the stuff, transferred the gold to another account and then was either banned for gold selling or abandoned that account to possibly use later if needed.
ANet will do nothing if you contact them. If they were able to take stuff out, it’s because their account had guild permissions to do so. Technically they did nothing wrong as they did what was allowed. ANet isn’t going to get into the morals of this as it’s impossible for them to tell without personally knowing the people involved.
Warrior with healing signet or guardian with its blocks. Necro has high health but is rarely wanted in dungeons and has problems with its conditions and the meta bosses.
I saw a warrior once afk in Frostgorge bring beat on by a mob and his health was barely budging. He had the healing signet. He eventually died when a second mob joined in but one wasn’t doing anything that passive healing couldn’t handle. Add a food for toughness or increased healing and you should be able to take a lot.
The place to complain would be a Suggestion post in the Guild Wars 2 Discussion forum. However at this point in the game there is about zero percent chance they will do anything about it as it would effect all the other players who are leveling or have leveled armorcrafting for this reason. Changing it now would mess up all those people.
The names that get reported are the ones that are both offensive and against TOS. I would think its it’s ok. It’s about the same level of “offensiveness” as naming yourself Noob. Since it’s directed at yourself and not others it’s more of a ‘joke Insult’ name. I can’t imagine anyone being offended enough by it to report it.
That saying, even if it did get reported and did get sanctioned, if it your first time then all you would get is a forced renaming.
I agree with Redenaz. Guild Wars 1 is basically on life support. They’re keeping the servers running but not adding anything new, such as new minis for birthday presents. For example, they have a vendor that will take birthday tokens past year 7 and you can trade them in for old birthday presents. They still do bug fixing but do they still do skill balancing?
They are focused on Guild Wars 2 and not interested in the old game.
It’s fairly labor intensive to farm keys to get tickets. The average over time is about 50 keys to get 10 scraps. If each run takes 20 to 25 minutes, then one ticket is ~16 to 20 hours of key running. Most people who do key running are not going to do it for the long haul. They’ll do a few, maybe enough to get one ticket, then stop. It’s much simpler to buy keys with real money or farm gold in game and buy the weapon skins off the trading post.
A lot depends on if you have the banker golem that comes with a new character or not. If you don’t have that option then something like a ranger might be best as at the end you will be level 4 fighting a lot of level 10s. You will have an axe for ranged and a pet to hold agro. If you have the banker golem then you can set your char up nicely with max armor, runes and sigils.
As for the looking for group thing. Mostly because it can get boring to solo it. Once you know what to do it’s not hard.

I believe s/he is saying here they don’t want the hobo-sack that appears on the engie everytime they use a utility skill. It’s ugly and ruins the look you work to get.

Yes, yes, OP is aware of that. But there are and have been other reasons for password problems, and we are making him cognizant of those facts. It is rare that there is no damage to the account after a month, though not completely unheard of.

Considering it can take up a slot for something else, (you get one for sure and then you could get 1 to 4? as one of the 2 random items) I can’t say I’m much enthused about this. You could even get the guaranteed one, a booster and then 2 sets of these powders. How many people are going to be overjoyed to get up to 3 sets of these and a booster when buying BL keys?
If they wanted to switch the boosters over to enchanted boosters, why not just do that as a patch? Why add this as a clumsy, unwanted mechanic and then put them in the chests, taking the place of other items?

It only converts one regular booster (not a karma booster, that requires 2 of these) to an enchanted booster.
I’ve gotten one of them. I dragged all my boosters into inventory to see what would happen. When I activated the powder it converted one of the regular boosters to one enchanted booster.
One thing I’ve noticed about ANet, they have a positive genius for poorly written, confusing instructions/explanations.
Caveat emptor. I did not notice the hip clipping bug on my human before buying. I absolutely hate it and requested a refund. They responded saying they will not honor the refund. Needless to say, I will not be buying anything more from the gemstore until this gets fixed.

If you bought it with ingame gold, then it’s truly caveat emptor as they apparently (from comments on other threads) can’t track purchases of gems from the mass of gems for gold. They apparently can only track purchases of gems directly bought and then purchases of items bought with these gems.
Even if they can see you bought the item (with gold for gems) they can’t give back gold as they don’t know how much gold a player used to but the gems and I suspect they can’t give you gems because the only gems support has access to is the gems bought with real money. Policy probably doesn’t allow them to exchange these for gold bought gems.

Honestly, I was shocked that they would do nothing, as well. At least meet me halfway and refund me the gems. Then I might be able to buy something not so buggy. For the record, yes, I did use real money. Looks like I’m the fool for doing so. $10 lesson learned.
If you used real money, they should have given you a refund. Try posting your ticket number in the thread tickets for review-3 days and older for Gaile to look it over. Support does sometimes mess up.

Not an expert on economics here but I would think OP’s suggestion would benefit flippers and speculators if enough people did it. If sufficient people were refusing to pay the lower prices and insisting on paying the higher prices then it would put upward pressure on prices which would allow flippers and speculators to get even more profit.

I wonder if OP does this in real life. If, for example, there are 2 gasoline stations next to each other where one has undercut the posted price of its neighbor by one penny, does he go to the more expensive one to reward it for not being despicable?
If they asked you to rate support, that sounds like they consider the matter done with. Maybe they were handled only as a bug report, not as a request for the rewards to be sent to you again. I suspect the missing guild mission rewards cannot be sent. I would think that the WvW chest should be but might require a bug fix first.
If it was me I would update the tickets and ask them point blank if they are going to send you the rewards on both or if it’s still in progress. If after you update the tickets and if you still can’t get a reply after a couple of days you can post in Gaile’s stickied thread, Tickets for review-3 days and older.

Select Account issue- fill in all the information that you know. If you don’t know, leave it blank.
Where it says [no selection] click on that and from the drop down list select, Compromised/Hacked Account
After filling out all the information that you can, at the very bottom of the page is a submit button. Hit that.
Support will send you an automatic email saying they received this. It will have your ticket number. Anything else you need to say to them, you put on this email and send off. You do not make any more tickets on this issue. They will close additional tickets without replying to them.
The first response back email from them is pretty quick. After that, it depends on how busy they are. It may take a day or more for them to get to your problem and start talking to you about it.
When guilds with a good track record do this, the map they do it on fills up and hard caps. If you don’t get there early you will won’t be able to get on that map unless you are lucky. So, 45 minutes to an hour early is a good idea.
In addition, this set of events works best if people who have finished their boss stay away and do nothing until the other bosses are done. Kicking them for being afk would cause a different set of problems.
Even if the first part, the scaling issue, isn’t working. There is still the problem with the second part, people waiting while the other bosses are being killed.
My point is, if one submits a request about reporting an Account Name, CS might respond that such a thing is not possible. It is best to be clear about what one requests. =)

You have to make a ticket to report an account name. You can do this from the forum at https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new. If you report in game, and I’ve done that by choosing character name, they (probably) won’t check the account name.
Why they don’t have an option to report account names, guild names or pet names in game after all this time is a mystery.

You seem to be missing the point, there’s an obvious reason why men were not put in tutu’s (outside of some fetish or some form of cruel punishment). Lacey and frilly type fashion just isn’t manly. I got through the game pretty much with heroes, mercenaries (like heroes but your alternate characters that you can play with) and maybe one or at most 2 real people. It does make a difference having another person but it’s possible to do it without.
If you are going to solo it, you might look into buying the mercenary option from the store. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Mercenary_Hero This will let you customize the group of heroes you play with in an advantageous manner.
You can even try it out. If you party up with someone who has a fully set up group of heroes/mercenaries and you go into a map and then they leave, their heroes/mercenaries will follow and obey you instead.

Some others had some constructive ideas (I think a mini of our own character would be funny), but mostly it just seems the purpose of the topic is to complain preemptively that a “birthday” gift might not be extravagant enough.

But seriously, birthdays for Guild Wars 1 was a big deal. It’s not unreasonable to expect the same treatment in Guild Wars 2. For me, multiple identical minis and level 20 scrolls after a year, when most people have already finished leveling was……not a big deal (euphemism).
It’s supposed to add you to your guildies servers. I know it’s not too unusual to see guildies on the maps I’m on, and there are usually only about 20 to 30 people on at any one time.
On my characters it’s clipping badly on the right hip on female humans, Sylvari and Asura. I’ve also seen it on other people’s characters. It’s a large gaping hole on the side that if it were real life, would be about the size of a hand.
