I do this event once or twice a day. I’ve only gotten the splendid chest once. (It’s a small chest that spawns at the site of the last champ if it’s killed within the set time period). Others aren’t getting it either. There will be comments like, “no chest?” and others will say “I got it” or “I didn’t get it either.”
It’s not just Sylvari that could use revealing armor. The same goes for Charr.
It’s impossible to find revealing light armor for Charr. The best one I found for my female Charr ele was a cultural armor and I hid the shoulders for that to show the arms. The torso and legs are always completely covered in light (male) armor.
If they made revealing male armor I would buy it in a minute for my female Charr and my male Sylvari ranger, who might was well have no bioluminesce below the neck.
I bought one gem. I hope that helped.
Oh cash, well never mind.
If they do only give one mini for the birthday, I would prefer it to be one per account. I have 12 of those things and 12 identical minis are 11 too many.
Maybe make it the account’s birthday present instead of the character’s if it’s too hard to program otherwise.
On my characters it’s clipping badly on the right hip on female humans, Sylvari and Asura. I’ve also seen it on other people’s characters. It’s a large gaping hole on the side that if it were real life, would be about the size of a hand.
Oh yeah. The elite skills in Guild Wars 1 were especially fun to get. Go to area. Hunt down boss. Kill him with your crippled skill bar (you had to equip a skill on your skill bar to take the skill from his dead body, and you had to go into the area like that. Repeat for all the many elites skills in the game if you are going for the title.
Ancestral Outfit on female Sylvari
Has a large hole on the right hip where the skin shows through.
Edit: this hole is also on humans and Asura (female).

To all those says the Living Story items are rare and prestigious.
They aren’t rare. Thousands of people have them. Maybe 10s of thousands.
They aren’t prestigious. They weren’t done by doing hard content. Many were done by doing dailies. A number of people get the meta done in one day.
The only real qualifications for most of them were, you owned the game and you showed up and did some minimal work. For that amount of rarity and prestige I have no problem with letting new people get a shot at them.
If they can do it, that would be great. I know I could wear a seaparate headpiece from the costume in Guild Wars 1. I often wore a costume with my halo. You could even wear the halo with a tonic
Rabbit tonic and halo.
I wish they could be vendered/sold on the trading list. I have no plans to do the gauntlet and I know others want them. Heck, I would give them away if I could.
When people buy a game, one of the expectations is that all rewards are conceivably obtainable. They don’t buy a game with the expectation that a lot of the cool stuff they see is out of reach simply because they didn’t buy the game on time. Almost none of these rewards were hard to get. The fact that thousands, maybe10s of thousands, of others have them means they are neither rare nor prestigious. Maybe they aren’t seen much now but that’s because they are sitting in the wardrobe unused.
Making items unobtainable would hurt the game imo, as new people will get discouraged and leave. This would only get worse as the game gets older.
There have been many posts where people said they don’t want ANet to remove content permanently. Well, this is one way for content to remain in game even if it only comes around once or twice a year.
When wearing a costume, click on your regular helm to show or not show. This will cause the costume headwear to show or not show. Your helm won’t ever show. You will be either bareheaded or wearing the costume headwear.
“Is there an option to unlock new character / recruit NPCs to be playable characters by quest systems or gem store in Guild Wars 2?”
No, just the regular character slots you can buy.
As to appearance, humans don’t have that beard. Norns have one similar but not identical.

Snip
Breastcups are totally unrealistic for heavy armor. You don’t need them as armor will just flatten those boobs. And it’s dangerous as they deflect blows and arrows right at your heart. All historical examples of women in platemail (for example, Jeane d’Arc) had them wear identical platemail as men do.
Snip
On the other hand, male armor was sometimes made to accommodate the individual who found combat to be….. stimulating. Outsized cups in the groin area was made for these men. It was also a fashionable trend in armor for a while.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codpiece
As time passed, codpieces became shaped and padded to emphasize rather than to conceal, reaching their peak of size and decoration in the 1540s before falling out of use by the 1590s. Armor of the 16th century followed civilian fashion, and for a time armored codpieces were a prominent addition to the best full harnesses.

And I always hear the ettins yelling ‘More Beer’.
To which my warrior replies, “FOUR GRAPE JUICES!”
I did the same. Made one character of each class and then deleted, rinse and repeat. Now my engineer is wearing a starter thief hood and my Mesmer had an ele flame eye for a while.
Megaserver is awesome, they just need to add districts. >.<
It is awesome. If they put in districts it would remove the complaints I’ve seen. The ability to say “join us in district 3” or the ability to choose a full district or one with few people. If you are farming nodes the ability to learn the nodes on one district and then return to that one on any alts. If you are at a meta boss and get DC’d, the ability to get back into that district instead of logging back to land in a map where it’s over or never started. Districts would solve a lot of these problems.
I don’t like the megaserver at all. It is better than what we had, with empty zones, but I would like a system where users can instead select from a list of districts like:
>Tarnished Coast (your server district)
>District 1 (93% full)
>District 2(83% full)
>District .. 23 (15% full)And also gives us the option of what sort of district we want to automatically be assigned: server, high pop, low pop
Ah, a dream come true if they put this in.
Get all your trinkets, for your main and any alts you play. If you have a guild that does missions be sure to do them as earrings cost 40 laurels and 50 ectos, or they cost 12 commendations which are 2 weeks of guild missions. Are you planning to do ascended crafting? If you are then this cost laurels also. In addition, ascended gear has slots for infusions, which also cost laurels. After that, unless they put in a new laurel sink that’s it except for frivolous buying.
OP is assuming it was easier at any time for new players. It always was hard for new players to get money. When you start off you don’t have access to the high level areas, and this was true at launch as well as now. But new players don’t need much. A new set of gear every 10 level maybe and for that greens from the trading post will do. During this time you should be harvesting everything and selling what you can.
Are you level 80 and wanting the coolest stuff right away? If so then extremely few ding 80 for the first time and immediately deck themselves in exotics and named weapons with nice skins. Most start grinding dungeons or farming at that point. I certainly didn’t have exotics and named weapons. I got rares and farmed, farmed, farmed for gold to get better stuff.

It’s working fine for me. https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
Or if it’s still broken for you, you can email them at Support@guildwars2.com
I started at launch and it took me a while to get my first gold. Don’t remember how long it was but I still remember the first one. At the first Halloween I remember I had about 30 gold. That was 3 months to get that much, with the gold coming easier as time went on so it wasn’t 10 gold the first month.
While prices for what you want are higher, in return the mats you sell once you get out of the starter areas sells for more. For example, iron back then was around 10 copper. Right now it’s 1.23 silver. If you go to somewhere like Brisbane and harvest all you find you can make good money. Repeat on any alts you have and it adds up fast.
A set price for an unlimited use item that last a certain period of time sounds interesting. I might consider that if it was offered. It would help the people with multiple alts if it was on the wardrobe UI and not an item sitting in the bank
You will have to use a gemstore item, a total makeover kit. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Total_Makeover_Kit
Wow. That’s a long time for wiki and the forums to be down.
That’s sort of inconsistent though. I’ve seen threads where Gaile told people to contact support.
Xista.7391
“I deleted a low level character that had several gem store items on him by accident. Is there anyway for a character restore, item restore, or gem refund too happen?
Gaile Gray
ArenaNet Support Liaison
We would not roll back an account for this reason — that’s a service offered only for a compromised (hacked) account. However, you’re welcome to contact Support to inquire about the GS items you deleted in error.”
And
GuzziHero.2467
“So I idiotically salvaged a set of gloves on which I had placed the Phalanx skin I bought from the Gem Store.
After a few days, I have been refunded the gems with which to re-purchase the Phalanx skin. I applied the gloves skin to another piece of armour, and have deleted the rest of the set, so that I have not gained from my own error.
Many thanks to the support staff that have helped me restore my full Phalanx armour set!”
So if it was me I would contact support anyway. Maybe they can’t send you the item itself but may be able to refund the gems so you can rebuy it.
This is great. Sure it would be nice if they were armor skins you could mix and match but costumes you can switch on an off for no transmutation cost, are dyeable and can be used in combat is similar to the system as Guild Wars 1. Now if they were to make the headpieces and body of the suit separable it would be identical.
It’s really nice and I hope they make more.

I can’t believe they actually thought this was a good idea.
Everyone is sitting in the meeting room, tossing ideas back and forth:
Dev 1: what shall we do for a reward?
Dev 2: how about a transformation tonic?
Dev 3: which? Scarlet or something else?
Dev 2: I was thinking of a Watchknight tonic.
Dev 4: that’s sound cool. Let’s make it playable in combat. People have been asking for that. What sort of restrictions should it have? 30 minute transformation and no cooldown?
Dev 2: I know! Let’s make it only 5 minutes and then a 25 minute cooldown. That would be epic!
All Devs in unison: That’s the best idea I’ve heard all day!
who is Kormir again?
She was an Elonian woman who became a god and is one of the gods of gw2. This video give a quick 3 minute run through on how she did it. Basically she was the Traehearn of Nightfall.

Most females are dudes IRL , skirts are better to look at.
By that logic, where are the super revealing tops for my male characters? What if I’d like the option to stare at my warrior’s finely sculpted physique?
Here!
Medium armor is the only one lacking in that department unless you play norn.
Or Charr. They get a the Chest piece on their Medium racial that doesn’t have the skirt attached to it, as it’s attached to the pants instead. So you can wear different pants with it and be skirtless. SUCH AN AWESOME CHEST PIECE WASTED ON CHARR.
!!!!!
It’s also wasted on my light armor Charr ele. When she runs on 4 legs there is cloth hanging down in front of her hind legs, ready to get tangled up. There is no four legged race that would wear something like that to combat.

BLACK LION TRADING COMPANY GEM STORE
New Items and Promotions
New Phoenix weapon skins are available at the Black Lion Weapons Specialist for the introductory price of 1 Black Lion Weapon Ticket for the next four weeks. Black Lion Weapon Tickets can be found in Black Lion Chests.
Just to let you know, it’s against forum rules to post other players name like that. It’s called “name and shame” and it’s forbidden because people can abuse this to accuse innocent people. In addition that was likely a hacked account and if so, the original owner is innocent and shouldn’t have his character names posted. You should edit your post and take the names out.
As to your question, when you send a report for gold selling they will both check the chat log and they will investigate that person.
The abuse of the report system refers to malicious reporting where someone makes false reports trying to get someone else in trouble.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Has it been a while since you logged on you saw them a day or two ago?
If it’s been awhile, take each of your characters to talk to the Black Lion Armor trader standing by the trading post in a racial city (not sure about LA). Make sure it’s the armor NPC and not the Black Lion weapon NPC near him. The armor trader will give each char the townsclothes and costumes that each had before the patch.
If after each char speaks to the NPC you still don’t have them then contact support at https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
You misremember Guild Wars 1 if you think the underwear there was customizable. It was sometimes better looking, depending on the profession, but never dyeable or customizable.
They did have a few nice ones, the elementalist and the Ritualist in particular, but they were not any less naked than what you are talking about.
Running around ‘naked’ is a time honored tradition in video game.
Underwear in Guild Wars 1:
I had noticed before that linking waypoints will get you suppressed. Maybe try not only different numbers of words but alternate before and after. Or add a few random letters or punctuation.

If they ever add greatsword to necros, I have a chiroptophobia skin waiting.
Ahhh, fair enough. I’d love a sword and shield for my Elementalist.
I still don’t see how a Scepter and Focus would work for professions that aren’t based around magic though. Well, maybe not ‘work’, but make sense thematically.
Idk. I could see scepter on a warrior if it had the right skills.
Auto attack: hit it with your scepter, hit it again, hit it so hard your scepter breaks.
Skill 2: stab target with your broken scepter.
Skill 3: block attack with the handle.
I don’t know about the times, but it’s my understanding it suppresses when the messages are identical. Try varying them. Actually though I doubt anyone besides ANet knows the details.

The Texas login was probably the server which is located in Austin. There is a known glitch where it reports as your location. You can check the IP with Whosis. If it’s the server it will say the owner is NC interactive.

Any threads need to have a real Guild Wars 2 link to them or they are quickly deleted. Threads about other games, including threads that compare Guild Wars 2 to other games, are also deleted.
No dungeon counts toward map completion.
You can use the bluestone to check for names you don’t have. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Bluestone/Explorer
Yea, the cities will always be 11% world completion no matter what level you are. Your statement is nonsensical.
Which statement?
This one:
Also, since the XP needed to level is non linear, it matters what level you start with. So is it 11% if you don’t have a level 20 scroll to use first? Not everyone does.
The 11% mentioned there is a world completion %. It has absolutely nothing to do with xp or your level.
As I said, that’s not a statement. It’s a question I was asking the answer for from the OP. Since it was a question, it was not nonsensical but a request for information and clarification.
Thank you for your post but I was able to figure out before it that he was calling my question nonsensical.

Armor: the shiny part
I’ve seen a few threads where someone says they were doing this. You might try googling it and seeing if they still play and are still doing this.
I’ve leveled a couple mostly through map exploration and got to 80 way before I was finished with the maps. Throw in harvesting and events you run into and you level fast.
So, if I do the cities first, I will be at 11%?
Also, since the XP needed to level is non linear, it matters what level you start with. So is it 11% if you don’t have a level 20 scroll to use first? Not everyone does.

Which statement? That XP to level is nonlinear so that the amount to get to the next level changes? That not everyone will have a scroll? The other was a question and and not a statement so you can’t mean that.

There was a recent long thread about dueling which you can read here OP – PvE dueling - to get a good idea of what people think about it, both pro and con.
I have 8 level 80s, a couple have the sigil on their underwater weapons now since this came up but the rest don’t. But what’s 80 gold, right? Right.
Out I go to farm money for this. Except…..they’ve nerfed farming too.
Usually the saying is one step forward and one step back. ANet’s specialty is, one step back and then another step back.
