Since there are limited options and no way to explain, all you can do is select the closest one. Reporting as botting will get you close enough to what he is doing for them to check out.
I know ANet has an RNG reputation to maintain but how about if they increase the mats required and if you craft a rare dye you get a rare dye and if you craft a masterwork dye you get a masterwork dye.
If you get stealthed and go along the right hand wall you can time it to pass the guy standing there. It’s been awhile but I think it’s when he stealths. From there you go along the back wall, getting the flags along the back wall. You can get several of these that way, repeat to finish heart.
I didn’t take a screenshot but I was in Bloodtide Coast several months ago in the NE swamps where all the bandits are and saw a Siamoth way up in a tree. I tried to kill him but was unable to.

Oh he can. Being from GH I know which commander OP means. Commander creates rams in keep wasting every supply so WP cant be finished. Destroys omegas using fall damage, harassing other players etc.
He completely ruins the fun for the entire server, making us loose our keep because we dont have any supply left to defend. Anet shouldnt protect one guy even though he isnt breaking the rules, anet should think about keeping our server happy.

He’s clearly greifing other players which is more than enough grounds to punish him. And the EULA means they can do pretty much anything they want. It’s amazing how no one ever reads it.
If the answer is that EULA allows them to do pretty much anything they want and they haven’t punished the guy then that to me suggests one of two things.
1) they are indifferent to his griefing an entire map over the course of almost two years in spite of multiple reports.
Or
2) that the EULA in this case does not allow them to punish the guy.
Since I doubt they are indifferent to griefing, since it hits their pocketbook when angry customers stop buying from the gem store and also complain about the game to potential purchasers, then I would suspect that the EULA does not allow them to single out one person who is not breaking any rules and punish them.

You’ll have to search for what your profession can use. The ones that are higher level than what you are now can be put into the wardrobe and used that way.

Seriously, the first words he muttered when she appeared was, “she’s… _beautiful,” then started acting like a love-sick moron all the time. After that, it was “my queen” this and “I’m yours forever” that. It didn’t help that Jennah basically paraded him around saying, “check it fools, this guys my b****, come at me!” I basically lost all respect for him the minute he when full tool like that. I don’t blame Rytlock for wanting to gut him where he stands.
If someone sent a report and got back a reply, then you have your answer. You aren’t going to get a different answer from asking somewhere else.
Technically speaking, he isn’t breaking the rules. The game can’t punish someone for building something on spot A instead of spot B. It also can’t punish someone for taking supply.
All you can do is make suggestions on the forum about changes to the rules. Possibly changes about how much supply one person can take or how many structures one person can build over a designated period of time.
But if kitten is official a “bad cursed” word. We should find another word to replace it for censorship.

As an ele since headstart, I can definitely +1 this. It’d be a wonderful QoL improvement.
But on the other hand, if the lack of this is actually intentional on the dev’s part, could we please get an explanation from one of them as to why? I’m curious to know.
Yah, I was distinctly getting the impression he is arguing simply to argue. However the points he is not understanding, or claiming to not understand, are points that people are actually confused about.
From reading the thread I feel that there are 2 things that people arguing against this don’t understand. Large numbers of people it appears do not understand the concept of out of combat and what it takes to get out of combat. They think you can back off for a few seconds and break combat. This is because they have never tried to switch weapons from inventory. When people argue this point, they need to be educated about what out of combat means.
The second thing is related to the first. They think this will give the ele an extra weapon set and an extra 20 skills in the middle of combat. Again, they need to be educated about what out of combat weapon swapping means.
From reading this thread it appears that there are people who are confused about how many weapon skills an ele will have with out of combat weapon switching
The current number of skills an ele has during a fight is twenty.
With out of combat weapon swapping, the total number of skills the ele will have during a fight is twenty. TOTAL. Not twenty at the start of the fight and another twenty at some point during the fight. Twenty, total. The same identical skills at the start, the middle and the end of the fight.
Out of combat weapon swapping is a quality of life issue for the game. It has no effect at all upon combat.
I don’t understand why people keep saying “only if the other classes get it too.” The other classes already have it…
But Elementalist have 4 ATTUNEMENTS (FIRE, EARTH, WATER AND, AIR) to use with one set weapon/set – the others do not. So in essence you have 4 different types of attacks with one weapon/set. Ele’s already have 2 more sets of than the other professions.
You are not understanding what is being discussed. You are talking about in combat. We are talking about out of combat.
It appears that you don’t know what is needed to get out of combat. Will you please try this to see what is needed to get out of combat?
Take any profession and go out into a map. Open up inventory and have a weapon in your inventory ready to switch to. Attack something, it doesn’t matter what. From your inventory, try to switch to that weapon. Stop attacking and try. Move away from the mob and try. Keep trying until you can switch from inventory.
You will find out that you can not switch weapons from inventory anytime while the mob is alive and attempting to reach you. During this time you are in combat. We are not talking about switching weapons for ele’s during this time.
If you take the time to try this you will find getting out of combat is not nearly as easy as you think it is.
The only way I think Eles should get OOC swapping is it the can’t do it in PvP or WvW. Reasoning is because I can see Eles breaking combat just quick swap when they’re caught with their pants down.
You can’t easily break combat. It takes a fair amount of time
You can actually check this out yourself. Go somewhere and attack something, you can try this with any profession, it doesn’t matter. Have your inventory open. The only time you can switch weapons from in inventory is when the game decides you are out of combat. So, try switching weapons from inventory at various times during a fight or when running away from a fight. It actually takes some time before you can do this. You can’t just back away and switch.
Apparently a lot of people think that you can switch out after only a couple of seconds of not attacking. You can’t.
I don’t know. I mean imo, it is already pretty balanced by the fact that you already have such a wide variety of skills to switch between while in combat.
With all the different attunements you have, you can easily switch between healing, dps, defense, and speed.
Maybe you got caught alone with a staff equipped. You can switch to earth, immobilize, then put up a wall to give you time to escape, then go lighting and use swiftness while dropping a static field, then go water if you took any damage and drop an ice field to slow your attacker down (you still have your slot skills to use also). If you get away then you can switch to daggers or whatevs and bring the pain.
I personally think that it is a fair tradeoff. You can’t switch weapons out of combat as fast because of how you can switch attunements while in combat.
And it is not like you just can’t switch at all, it is that you cannot do it as fast as a single click. I think it is fair as it is because of what elementalists and engineers are capable of while in combat.

You misunderstand something about combat here. You can’t just move away and switch weapons, you have to drop combat. If whatever you were fighting is still chasing or attacking you, the game considers you in combat and will not allow you to switch. You can not open your inventory and switch weapons, the game does not allow this. Even if all the mob/person is doing is chasing after you after a fight, even if it is not actually actively attacking you, the game considers you to be in combat until it turns around and runs off.
Since that part of your argument is incorrect, it means your conclusion is incorrect.
We are talking about out of combat. The ele is not attacking anything. Nothing is attacking the ele. Nothing is chasing the ele after a round of attacks, trying to get in range in order to attack some more.
The current set weapon skins for sale are going up from one ticket very soon, within a few days. So either you need to buy now or wait till the next set come out.
As to which to chose, that’s such a judgement call. For me when I buy to sell, I mainly look at the current prices and the current supply. If it’s really nice looking but supply is high and price is low compared to the others, I prefer to chose another with less supply, even if demand is lower.
After you buy a weapon skin to sell, you can either go for cash now or you can hold on to the skins in hopes that they will go up. The history of these items show that they do go up but it can take months.
Unless you really want the gold sooner rather than later, I wouldn’t use up all the tickets on one set of weapon skins.
I understand that – it is a no go unless ALL professions have the same thing.

Which means you agree with OP’s suggestion as all professions except elementalist and engie have out of combat weapon swapping with a keybind.
Right now an ele can, while out of combat, open up inventory and switch weapons. I think you can agree that this is not overpowered.
So, how does having a keybind to do the exact same thing make it overpowered?
If you can explain how it does, this it would help to understand your reasons against it.
The thing is, afaik magic find is only for drops when you kill a mob. Not open world chests or black lion chests or the loot bags of various types that mobs drop. Just the plain items they drop. So unless you are killing things, your magic find is doing nothing for you.
At 130% I think I’m seeing more rare items drop and greens but truthfully it’s hard to tell. It’s gone up so gradually for me that it’s hard to remember and compare the drops from before they put account wide magic find in game.
Yes, you were hacked. You need to run a security sweep of your computer. When you are sure your computer is clean, change the password on your email in case he got into that. After that you can contact support at https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new You can ask for an account restoration (a rollback of the account to a time before the hack to recover lost items and gold).
Since you posted your email I recommend you get another email and switch your account to it. For all you know, hackers and gold sellers read these forums and noted that email to try for a hack later.
First, get the guy out of your computer. Run a security program then when your computer is clean, change your email password.
If you are still suspicious of that email, get another one. When you contact support at https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new or even through Support@guildwars2.com tell them to contact you through the new email.
Personally, it’s a nice break to just roll through a 20 minute key when I’m bored. Since I’ve completed most of the goals I have (aside from working on my legendary), gambling safely with black lion chests is an easy and quick thing to do.
Farming for keys is pretty boring in itself. So, I don’t know why you would farm for it when you’re bored lol
Well, being bored with doing one thing doesn’t mean bored with another. While key farming has it’s own special niche of boredom, the boosters (now that they can be switch to other booster), bank accesses, revive orbs, trade merchants, etc are nice to have. It’s also nice to get the occasional really good item, such as backpacks, hair/makeover kits or black lion salvage kits.
Wait….you can’t right click on a name in chat and select “report” any longer? Since when?
I guess I’m missing how a discourse in chat generates a display name to report…..I’m not talking about THIS specific instance where the OP only has a screenshot (which would also BE a character name…..not display name), I mean’t in the future it would be easier to report from the chat display report method.
He friended the player after the guy started abusing him. You can see the display name then on the friend’s list and when you mouse over the name in chat.
Tickets are recommended for display names, pet names and guild names as none of these are on the drop down report list.
While you could select the character name and hope that they look at display name, that wastes Support’s time. With the character name reported they are going to spend time looking and researching that, trying to find what you saw that was offensive. When they don’t find anything wrong, they are going to close out the ticket and move to the next ticket, not go looking for other possibilities.

If you can’t put it on the forum then it’s against TOS. After that, it depends if it gets reported or not. I’m not sure if they rename or close down guilds with offensive names. I think they rename them now but you don’t get a choice of what the new name is.
It’s because there are two data centers which separately hold the account’s information. One is in Europe and one is in the USA. Because there are two account data holding sites, this means the two types of accounts can’t share the same map.
I think the problem is, the game doesn’t really teach you. To learn something you need to research and read about it. Not everyone wants to do that or even knows that there is something to look up.
After all this time, playing since beta, and I’m still shaky on combo fields, how to generate might on various professions, etc. Information on subjects such as Defiance needs to be explained somehow in game.
Even having a tutorial with NPC of various professions explaining each one’s combo fields and how to use them would be a help.
And it’s not just me. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been meleeing a mob on my guardian and had someone knock it away from me so that I have to go chasing after it.
Your suggestion is, ANet shouldn’t increase the security of its password change site so that people who are hacked will get a wake up call. If you take your suggestion to a logical extreme, then all noncritical online sites should have less than optimal security so that hacked emails can have this wake up call. (Do you see how ridiculous that sounds).
ANet is a company, not a teaching aid. Their job is to have the best possible security for the site. It’s not their job to be part of a warning system for other’s hacked emails. Basically you are telling them not to improve security since they need to be a part of a “wake up call.” This is not an appropriate thing for ANet to be doing.
They could do more to reduce the chances. Security question for example. And that doesn’t even have to be mandatory. So that those who do not want it don’t have to have it. But for those of us who do, it’s there.
And I’d want it and I don’t go to shaddy sites, my email is secure, I don’t buy gold from gold sellers, etc. Because even with all of those protections, including a mobile authenticator for the game, I could still one day be hacked.

You need to actually read my post if you’re going to quote it. Players are sometimes unaware of what they’re doing. Being hacked is a wakeup call. It forces them to be more mindful of their online activities.
Now to be clear, I’m not “for” people getting hacked. Just putting that out there, since others can easily be confused. If everyone took care of their PC security, no one would be hacked in the first place. But there are players who don’t realize what they’re doing, so if a hacker gets through the current system in place, it’s a sign that worst things could happen. Someone might not have been aware that their e-mail was compromised. Having these additional security measures might protect their GW2 accounts, but that doesn’t fix the problem that the hacker still has access to the player’s e-mail.
There is a saying that goes, “the best is the enemy of the good.”
If you’ve never heard it before, it means that the ‘best’ solution is not always the best, because it’s impractical in some way. But because some people want the best solution, they won’t consider a solution that is simply good.
In your case you are suggesting what you think is the “best” solution. Allow people who are going to get hacked get a wake up call by having their account stolen. But this solution tells Anet not to tighten its security. That they should not make password changing as secure as possible to lessen their workload, protect their reputation and to protect people who paid for the game. This is the impracticality of your “best” solution.
It’s not ANet’s job to be part of a wake up call for players that have lax security. They are not their keepers or teachers. Their job is to keep the accounts secure for the good of the game, no more and no less.
The Megaservers have hurt my getting dragonite. I used to do temple events on a regular basis, 3 or more a couple of times a week. Since the new servers, I’ve done maybe two temples. The big meta events such as the dragons can be hit or miss. There are so many people at these events now that sometimes I lag out then DC, resulting in no rewards and a diminished interest in wasting my time doing them.
Imo, the temples need to be changed in some way. Put on a timer of have the defend events fail after so many successful defends. I also believe the meta events shouldn’t be one boss at a time but 2 or 3. Having more than one at a time would cause the zerg to split up as well as removing the feeling, oh it’s reset time to kill Shatterer once again, which gets deadly dull after awhile.

Made me look up Sinister Automatonic for my Norn and Charr characters. Necro threads are only pointless when people necro threads that are no longer relevant or just to say something useless.
There has also been a “game forgets password” bug. It mostly (but not always) seems to do with the Apple IOS when people access the forum or game using them. I also read one theory about corrupted email passwords causing this.
