Can’t this be reported via the in-game reporting system? Using the ticket system for this kind of issue is a waste of Cust Support resources (IMO).
Display names cannot be reported using the ingame system. There have been a couple of red posts saying that the correct way to report them at this time is by making a ticket. If they think it’s a waste of Customer Support resources they could always add Display name as an option to the ingame reports.

Snip
If you see anyone that owns a gathering tool, point at them and laugh.
Then your going to spend a fair amount of game time pointing and laughing instead of harvesting or playing as large numbers of people have these convenience items.
You don’t have many options here.
1) keep them in inventory
2) delete
3) sell
Of the 3, selling is the only viable one. Check spidy and list them at the upper range of a reasonable sell price and get what you can from them.
I never had any trouble soloing that whole thing in the past, and I recall it only being a veteran.
However, last time I even tried to go into there the group of random adventurers consisted of myself (being a down-leveled 80 in full exotics and some ascended) and 2 other people (no idea what they were).
- We three and the group of NPCs walked in the door.
- In the very first entryway chamber the NPCs said something.
- Golems activated (turrets too?)
- 1 second later (literally one single second) all NPCs and the three of us were instantly killed. And I mean dead-dead, not mostly-dead like Westley in The Princess Bride.
Haven’t even given that place another thought since and I don’t expect I shall ever return.
As a note, after killing that golem you will have to immediately go loot the chest on the cliff outside. If you hang back briefly after killing it (even for a second) then you will be insta-teleported off of the cliff down to the ground below even if you were in the middle of opening the chest. I did that thing nearly a dozen times before I was finally able to loot the chest before being booted off. Horrible, horrible design.
I haven’t done it since the change but the time I was teleported off the cliff, I was standing by the NPC when he teleported down. Were you by him when you were teleported? If not, his “teleportation radius” is probably enlarged, which may be part of the bug. Whether or not his teleporting players next to him is also bug or is meant is another question.

Every month, all tags are refunded by the game and 100 gold goes into the person’s bank. If you want to get your tag back you have to go to one NPC located in Orr and speak to him. After a while, only the people most determined to have a tag will keep getting it, others will give up or forget.

Mmmmm, idk. I think it’s more honest now with the 3 dice. It makes it more obvious that it’s a gamble box.
Basically. The thing is, the event has to be active in order to do it. This poses a problem because short of wandering from map to map, you never know when a boss is going to show up.
The temple train in Orr was a much better option, but the megaserver update made ’em a bit less predictable.
This is an excellent timer for the bosses. http://dulfy.net/2014/04/23/event-timer/ Shows what time they are on, how much time till the event and how much dragonite per each one. Also gives waypoint codes to put in chat if you don’t know where they are.

Yah, you would think so as they can tell other words and letter combinations. For example the filter prohibits Owlsdottir as it has LSD in the name. (Shrug). Well, all you can do is report and block.

If no one has reported the account name then it nothing will be done about it. It’s necessary to report using the ticket system at https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new as there isn’t an ingame option for it.
As to the verbal abuse, it’s reported in game. Right click on the character name, chose verbal abuse. If it continues you block, again right click on character name, chose block.
I doubt there is anyway to reach the LVL 10 story and be less than LVL 4.
Sorry, but this has been tested to DEATH and shortest run is WARRIOR or GUARDIAN w/ Human / Common story. Secret to cutting down time is having the Heroic Edition so you have a the Bank Golem and the Starter Armor it gives you. No way a Ranger can do it sooner as you have no speed boost. Guardian has Staff #3 and Warrior has Warhorn #4.
Rangers have warhorn #5. 15 seconds of speed boost every 35 seconds. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Call_of_the_Wild

Don’t buy gold.
Don’t buy character leveling.
Have a unique email, only for this game.
Have a unique password, only for this game.
Run a security program frequently.
Don’t frequent suspicious sites, especially ones your computer security programs warn you about.
Report and block. In my experience, the account will be deactivated within 24 hours.
Since the yellow T stones used to be so easy to get, most people did have free transmutations below level 80. I certainly never paid for a transmutation below that level. I think it would be nice if they made transmutations free for pre level 80s. This would essentially return the game to what it was before the wardrobe.
Another possible option, a gem store item that allows unlimited transmutations for a set period of time.

For refunds you have to contact support and discuss it with them. https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
Lol. Why does party even have a kick from guild in the first place? If used as intended, then that’s cruel. And it’s in a spot where it’s easy to make a mistake.
Guild officer: speaking to guildie he is planning to unguild. “Hey, accept party please. I got something for you.”
Guildie: “oh cool.” Parties up
Guild officer: “here you go, your very own personal guild disinvite.” Kicks from guild.

Yep, Black Lion Armor Merchant…
See attached for price
Oh, nice. Going to get rid of those unwanted killstreak boosters I have.
I bought 30,000 gems with 2,000 gold back in december. They limit you to 200 gold per transaction, so 10 transactions. I know it’s not the same, just saying it’s funny they limit buying gems with cc but not gold.
Probably because buying with gold has no real life consequences while buying with money can. They must be trying to limit excessive impulse buying where people spend more than they can afford and then contact support asking for a refund. It costs them money to refund credit card purchases.
Right click the name, choose report and choose botting. This will give them access to time, server, character and everything the character is doing at that time. They can’t use a video feed (which can be faked). What they need is metrics from the Guild Wars 2 computers.
This is accurate. We review reports 24/7/365, and hundreds if not thousands of accounts are closed every month, so this is an effective system.
On the one hand I always wondered how ANet decided who was botting or not, a simple fear on my part of being misjudged (I’ve been known to run around in circles for a while trying to get my Slayer achievements). On the other hand of course more transparency in this regards could benefit the botters.
I think they can see programs that are interacting in an unauthorized manner with the game’s programs. Such as the harvesting bots that go under the map to avoid mobs.
You people are sick. I can’t believe you guys trying to make money of breast cancer awareness day.
For one thing, it hasn’t happened yet so it’s a bit early to be outraged about it. For another, it’s pink dye that has been tied to breast cancer awareness in guild wars one and two, not pink quaggans.
I’m joking. Don’t be so serious. If you are even being serious.
Funny thing is last year during the Pink Day in LA community event there were people raving on the map chat about people profiting for trafficking pink dyes…
Examples can be found on this thread here from back then. People saying its shameful and exploiting to sell pink dye.
ANet staffer sees picture, picks up the red phone. “Hello. This is Agent Z. PHZE guild. HoD server. Found a site they are using as a guild Hall. Invisible walls needed to block off entrances STAT.”
(Disguised voice from red phone): Thank you Agent Z. Good catch. Expect a little something extra in your next paycheck. Invisible walls coming up in 3….2….1….. New walls!
ANet staffer hangs up phone. He says to himself “I hope the bonus is as good as the one for adding more invisible walls around the Salma District.”
I used to be indifferent but now I wouldn’t mind either a race change or a profession change. I would like to switch two of my characters. and no I don’t want to delete, remake and level to 80 twice more. I’ve already gotten 9 to level 80. Been there, done that.
I haven’t done any PvP since launch. I remember at launch, almost 2 years ago now, they only had Point Capture PvP. Do they still only have that or have they added Death Match, GvG, or other types of PvP yet?
If they haven’t added any new styles in 2 years that seems like a long time to me and PvP would be awfully stale if it was the same thing for so long.
I would love the option of having a choice. You do an meta event/champ/WvW and a box appears with the 3 items in it as a choice. You are then allowed to select the one you want.
Only ANet knows and they didn’t say.
I think at this point you can only delete it.
Because bobbles have everything to do with might and magic, and guilds and wars.
/sarcasm
Well in that case you can be happy that Anet expected some people to not like it and made it so that only the people using it can see it. So it doesn’t affect your gameplay at all. Isn’t that great? =D
THANK GOD FOR THAT!!!! I can’t believe ANet added this crap. Recycled permanent boobleheads instead of new content and fixes.
Lol. Always someone whose day isn’t perfect unless they can bring a little rain into someone else’s sunshine.
I don’t see anything wrong with Hardseeker. You could joke that she was a hydrophobic sailor. How about Herzjaeger?
Swaggerstorm is fine for a female character. She may be a pretty little girl, but she’s also a professional killer.
Hardseeker has certain sexual connotations to it. It might be fine but there is always a chance that someone will report it and that support will agree and force a name change.
I skip the consumables….tired them and they overall save about a minute of fighting (mostly in the last 2 big battles).
Yeah, the rice balls are really cheap (karma) though. I’ll probably drop the sharpening stones. I bought them to try them out but 1% isn’t all that much. Bloodlust seems to make a big difference. In the last fight when I have a fairly high stack up it really helps there.
Yeah, I didn’t think of Magdalena. I would stay away from Mugdalena also.
Crittina is fine but I would avoid Crittin as it’s too similar to cretin, which is a old medical term for a type of mental retar’dation and is now used as an insult.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
I couldn’t tell from what I’ve read. The table makes you and everyone else appear bobbleheaded to you. But do you look normal to everyone else?
Yes, you look normal to everyone else. I watched people around one of these stations. They would do the drinking animation but from my point of view they didn’t change. When I used the station I did the drinking animation then everyone had a bobble head.
Either is fine. Crittina Sassin has a much better look and sound than Crittina Mugdalena imo.
I’m always LVL 4 on the final (LVL 10) mission and level to 5 when it completes. The secret is stacking power so even your glancing blows cause some damage…..and you will simply dominate the lower level areas.
I use 4 different runes with power as the first stat (plus 40 power) and rice balls (plus 20 power), rough sharpening stones (power equal to 1% of your toughness) and bloodlust plus 5 power per kill). It makes a big difference.
As incupatus said, the China game is separate from the EU/NA games so if she buys the Chinese version, the two of you will not be able to play together. She needs to buy an EU version. With that she can play from anywhere in the world and you two can play together.
This is an old video from back in beta, but well worth watching for those used to static combat.

As regards to the number of soft wood logs to make one plank, many months ago, I don’t remember when, the number of logs was increased from 3 to 4 because of oversupply and low demand.
Personally I think ANet should revert it back since there now is a use for it.
I happened to run into this thing yesterday.
You have to be in Timberline Falls, near Stromkarl Heights (west of Stromkarl Waypoint). There is a watchtower on a mountaintop with a few NPCs that try to fight off ettins. They could be routed, in which case an event chain starts where you have to escort them back to the place to rebuild their tower.
At the end of an event where you have to fight off 5 waves of ettins, one of the NPCs turns into a vendor that sells consumable ettin clubs.
Checking the wiki, it seems you are talking about this event chain
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Escort_and_defend_alliance_workers_sent_to_build_a_watchtower
Which ends in this event: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Defend_the_alliance_watchtower_from_enemy_threats_
No mention of a merchant but the wiki article does say that the information is incomplete. Worth checking out. ^^
I can see both Hardseeker and Frombehind being a problem. The rest seem to be okay.
Maybe Crittina Steales instead of Crittina Steale. ^^

How would one know if the accounts are properly linked are not? The only way I can think of is if the login for Guild Wars 1 switches over to match the Guild Wars 2 login.
And then of course there is the dark matter, which you can only get by salvaging exotics, if you are only going to make one dagger just for the skin then you only need ten dark matter.
You could just buy the inscription off the trading post, outsourcing the salvaging step to someone else. It costs a bit more, but avoids RNG hassle.
Yeah, at the moment it’s 30 gold as a buy order. Expensive but a possibility, especially for those without black lion salvage kits to improve the odds.
According to Gaile, support was correct and I will not be receiving any refund or compensation of any kind. I am SOL. :-P
I repeat: caveat emptor.
Ow. Well. Ok. Caveat emptor indeed.
You people are sick. I can’t believe you guys trying to make money of breast cancer awareness day.

And then of course there is the dark matter, which you can only get by salvaging exotics, if you are only going to make one dagger just for the skin then you only need ten dark matter. I’ve never seen a salvage rate posted but it does appear to be better if you use Black Lion Salvage kits.
This means you will need to buy or craft a number of exotics to get this material. The number needed is unknown. I’ve read of people salvaging 10 or more exotics and only getting one or no dark matter.
Edit: found this (for the what it’s worth department).
http://guildwars2.mmmos.com/index.php?page=view&id=22776
“After salvaging 1765 exotics level 68-80 using Master’s salvage kit, here is what I got:
2101 ectos, 1.19 per salvage.
897 globs of dark matter, 0.5 per salvage.”
And http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Talk:Glob_of_Dark_Matter
“I conducted some drop rate research on 1/22/2014, using 50 Cleric’s Emblazoned Coats, one Black Lion Salvage Kit, and one Master’s Salvage Kit. The Master’s Kit yielded 11 Dark Matter, 27 Ecto, and 104 Hardened Leather Sections. The BL Kit yielded 24 Dark Matter, 36 Ecto, and 111 Hardened Leather Sections. Bottom line: BL kit yields twice the dark matter, may or may not have an effect on Ecto yield”

You contact support to change your email at https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
Changing the Guild Wars 2 email will change your Guild Wars 1 email if the accounts are linked together as they share the same login.
That heart quest is my very favorite event in the whole game. It has to be because I’ve done it so many times. Either that or I’ve lost my fool mind. (No comments need from the peanut gallery) :P
Boss Blitz gold style
can you explain what is that?
Boss blitz: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Boss_Blitz!_Defeat_all_the_champions_in_the_Queen's_Pavilion
Gold style, he means here to be on a winning map that repeatedly gets the gold rewards.
I don’t think a map clock showing ingame time would work because the different maps are on different times of the day. One map will be daytime and another will be nighttime. The map clock would need to be able to easily switch between these each time you waypoint to another map.
I’ve never done the wurm (everytime I tried during Boss Week I got disconnected at the start) so when I happened to be on the map a week back when it started I thought I would try it.
Bad move. It was a random pug map with no map chat coordination. The one guy who tried to give instructions was shut down because “we already know that”. I found some instructions on the internet about what to do. Everyone split up randomly to follow an NPC to a wurm site. After a few minutes with dead people everywhere and the wurm still going strong, I remembered some farming I needed to do and left.
Were you around for the one voting they did, the Kiel/Evon vote with the fractal path as a win? That generated a lot of threads with people upset that they didn’t get the Abbadon fractal and upset with the people who didn’t vote “right.” I still see one or two posters whose signatures are about this. Multiply that by the flavor of the month voting controversy and there would be a steady stream of upset people, which I doubt ANet wants.
If a whisper doesn’t work perhaps an email.
If seen ori nodes disappear if I’ve already mined one earlier on a character, leave, come back to a different map, find a node with another in view and mine it. I suspect he had already mined earlier but forgot.
Ori nodes are fixed in position as long as you are on a map, reset or not. Your presence on the map pins them in place. As long as one person is on the map their position is fixed. It’s only when the map empties out that the map will despawn and the position of the nodes will reset when someone else enters the map and respawns it.
fractal capacitor, guild back pack, temple karma vendors or for the more pricey ones, tempered spinal blades and various other mystic forge recipes
I don’t think the temple ones have beserker. Wiki says it’s Rabid, Cavalier, Soldier and Magi’s.
Indeed. For some reason my brain decided that listing all the back pieces was the answer to the question
I’ve had days like that. (Sigh).
